If you are just looking for cheap roof over your head with easy access to the metro, you found the right place. Just be mindful of your surroundings. As for people complaining about vermin? Dont live on the bottom floor. That is apartment living 101. I lived on the 6th floor and I never had problems.If you want something pretty & shiny, has amenities, or feels safe keep looking. This might be a high end slum living, but its still slum living.

Poor customer service from property management. I know we all have bad days at work but a positive attitude goes a long way. Seems to be an ongoing similarity at most Kay management locations.

This place is theeeee worst everrr... How do u turn off the ac and switch to heat when the winter is not even here... got my whole family living in a oven... No Air conditioner when it’s 80% outside.. This is not an apartment complex it’s an updated prison.. Then got the nerve to send a letter out for a 10$ remaining balance... Are u serious when the building doors don’t even lock..it’s homeless people sleeping in the staircase now 🤦🏽‍♂️

Terrible place to live! Mice! Mice! Terrible management! Stay away! Elevators dont work! They tow for no reason! They are money hungry! Rude and not worth monthly rent! They charge too much for everything even the pool for guests! They dont care about people and the management is judgemental! How when you have a mice issue?

SLUMLORD!!Have had many mice encounters and only caught 2!Not to mention ants and constant gnats getting in from poorly constructed windows, which also allows air conditioning to escape. So on a typical day we have many fans going in room at once just to survive!Leaking bathroom ceiling. Maintenance has “fixed” many times. Continued to leak, and there has to be mold up there. [[[[When someone overflows their toilet it leaks into my apartment ceiling]]]]I didnt even know there was a third mouse, until I saw it scurrying out the corner of my eyes in the bedroom.All maintenance did was come and lay poison packs and sticky traps.FIRST ATTEMPT: sticky trap failed. Mouse got free and the fur was stuck to the trap.Second time: ANOTHER mouse was stuck, I KILLED AND REMOVED IT.Third time: While cooking, mouse ran up from behind stove, where maintenance had already placed two sticky traps and four poison packs and one was bitten, yet the mouse was alive kicking and unstuck! We hunted it down which took thirty min and a strenuous workout. Once again killed, and removed ourselves.Weve been eating off dish ware, wearing clothes and sleeping possibly in germs, bacteria or viruses that they are possibly carrying.Maintenance has came here twice laid traps and poison both times only once was a trap effective. They arent taking care of the issue. THEY ARE TAKING ZERO action about the mice infestation. Laying half useless traps and poison that didnt kill anything.Pics of filthy green pool as well.

I’ve been living here for almost 5 months and the experience here has been absolutely amazing. Coming from a different state I was super anxious but the experience has helped tremendously. The management team there are top notch and you will never have an issue with them. The apartments here are spacious and affordable. :)

This was suppose to be my first apartment but I moved out two months later after being there in February-March, almost End of April. I was out two weeks I originally was suppose to be there because of the lack of communication, lies, and no care for the infestation of roaches and water bugs. It was disgusting and they had the exterminator there every week so they said but it wasn’t every week. They only put traps down and that didn’t stop them from crawling my clothes so I had to move back home. I should’ve wrote this some time ago but figure it would be a waste of time but here I am🤷🏽‍♀️. The community manager did nothing and would avoid me because I had to be aggressive about my bottom floor, T2, apartment being filled with INSECTS. When I asked other neighbors, they had the problem too but not as bad. My apartment wasn’t even cable ready either. So just try going somewhere else.

I lived at Top of the Hill from September 2014 to December 2016. My experience there was the absolute worst!!! Every other week the elevators would break down (I lived on the 6th floor and have a baby), there was always a maintenance issue which took forever to resolve and my car was broken into twice! Not to mention, management is very unprofessional. They only get 1 star because of the nice young lady, Brittany in the leasing office and the rent was cheap (although it was not worth the headache). To add insult to injury, the tow company are crooks. I was towed 3 times. First time, because my tire was touching the white line. The other two because I forgot to put in my handicap placard in the window WHEN THEY KNOW my car..the same guy comes around every night looking for someone to tow.Upon moving, I was told to allow 45 days to receive my security deposit back. Called today and was told Im being charged for $4.32 for rent, $55.62 for a full month water bill when I only lived there for 9 days in the month of December, plus $256 for carpet fees for a few stains, WHEN THEY ARE REQUIRED TO REPLACE THE CARPET ANYWAY! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

Message for all 2019 future residents. Do not move to this property. Building 3206 is RAT INFESTED, RATS EVERYWHERE, ENTIRE BUILDING, EACH APARTMENT IS INFESTED WITH LARGE RATS. Your utilities are included except water. But the a/c units are horrible and from the 1970s. Inside of the a/c units are filthy black and filled with bacteria. I dont understand how Top Of The Hill are passing building inspections and not receiving health code violations. Residents can have SERVICE DOGS so be prepared to see thousands of dogs roaming around the property. Im quite certain residents dont have permission for pets. Buildings are extremely old. No upgrades. Management isnt trying to upgrade property except the upgrades in Rental Office 3200 Building. No Security or police officers protecting community. Weed smokers pollute the entire building. Lobby and Hallways smell horrible. Last year, Lynwood Condominiums were televised for impoverished conditions. Top of the Hill will be next

UPDATE-9.17.18Upgraded to a larger unit. Still no issues. The rental office staff is extremely accommodating. Love it here.Ive been here almost three years and my biggest issues have been inconsiderate neighbors. Yeah, things break down, but its a very old building and I knew that going in. The rent and location is great and Ive NEVER had a problem with the office staff or maintenance. Smallest kitchen Ive ever had but again, I knew that going in. I actually love it here.

So far its been 3 maybe 4 car break ins. Maintenance crew dont respond right away. They come when They feel like it. The elevators in my building are horrible. Its constantly stuck or skipping floors. I live on the top floor so its a hassle to climb up 8 flights of stairs every day. Management are horrible. The only positive about this neighborhood are the ladies that work in the leasing office and some of the people that live in my apartment. Their super friendly. Dont move here its not worth it. Its not worth the rent youre going to pay every month.

OMG!!!! I dont live here, was going to have a tour but something hit me to check the review and yelp. All the residence here online mentioning the same thing over and over, it gets repetitive. Not one positive comment. Sad because as this area getting build up and & demographically changed Kay needs to rebuild, reconstruct and have a strong SOP within this property. Contact fair housing & health board of Maryland, living should not permit this type of health concernThis Kay property will be cross off my list.Thank you to all whom gave a review!

Ummm trash, ghetto, staff VERY unprofessional, Naomi Canalas is a LIAR, lies on top of lies... they have roaches and RATS, mice and rats when you complain they put traps down lol you are better off getting rid of them yourself... elevators never work and mail as well as packages are always stolen... cars getting towed and broken into every night... parking is horrible KAY DOES NOT CARE .... PERIOD.. i lived here 3 years never received screens for my windows (which leak when it rains) locks for my windows or the proper supplies they were supposed to order to fix to burners on my stove that NEVER worked... all in all don’t move here...

Markita is the worst in customer service! I don’t know what the mindset was behind hiring this mean obnoxious female. She is the absolute worst that K Management can offer. I like living here it’s affordable. But having to go into the office to pay rent is the worst when encountering such ratchetness! K Management you could do much better.

I have lived here for four years now. Generally, I like it. To be honest, it isnt luxury....but it is good size, for a good price and close to Naylor Rd. Metro. Really, its a win win. I love it here.

Dont let the one star fool you, you have to hit a star in order to post.Top of the Hill Apartments was like New Jack City marijuana smells throughout the halls, gun shots are fired outside regularly every night, cars stolen, cars illegally towed often. Robberies constantly reported, fights in the parking lots. Office manager and office staff very unprofessional, lack the skills to effectively work with public, I see why they lower the renting price to trap unsuspecting renters. We had a large hole in the bathroom ceiling for three weeks that fell in because the person above our apartment had plumbing problems, always had to spray for roaches, trash-shoot stay broken or room cluttered with trash. Management entered apartments without alerting residents most of the time and more. We had to EXIT this trap. From 1 to 10, I give them a -5.

Do not move here. If you do, make sure you record everything they say.They will lie and act like they did not talk to you. Make sure you have everything they say written down. If you give them a 30 days notice, on March 15th, they will say you will be prorated for the next 15 days in April but then call you on March 30th and tell you that you have 2 days to get out because they can!!!!

This place gets 1 star ONLY because of two dedicated young ladies in the leasing office: Brittany and Victoria. I STRONGLY encourage you to think twice before moving here. Management does not practice customer service best practices, to include CALLING TENANTS BACK with genuine concerns and questions. I had a hole in my bathroom ceiling, above the shower for close to two weeks. For the entire two years that I had resided at TOH, I constantly complained about the refrigerator freezing my food or defreezing, and water flowing all over the floor. The building is quite old, and maintenance (not their fault) are really just doing patch jobs for a building that really should be renovated. Laundry room: water was frequently found to be all over the floor upon entering and never was remedied. The fitness center was a joke. Half of the equipment placed there does not work, and management does not seem to be interested in fixing and/or replaced broken equipment. After about 2 years of residing here, and now on a month-to-month lease basis, I called the office to ask about move-out procedures and was never given a call back. I moved out before the end of the month and returned my keys, passes, etc. I was not once asked had I written a letter about moving out. I was not aware (yes, my fault--but that was the idea of me calling the rental office for guidance) that you had to give 30-days notice. I was called about a week after moving out and was told that I never submitted a letter stating that I was moving out, and was responsible for next months rent. I responded that I was not given a call back in reference to move-out procedures, so I assumed that there was no issue (if there was, I would have stayed the extra month). I was told that my voicemail was never received and that I was liable for next months rent. I told them that I did not have the funds, but was assured that it was OK--something could be worked out, but they needed the letter stating I had moved out. Today, I received a number of harassing phone calls from a collection agency at MY JOB, to which 3 of my coworkers received voice messages on their phones with, This message is for Derrick. Please call Pat. It is very important that you give me a call. The Fair Credit Act states that creditors are NOT to contact you at work, but they do to harass you. Stay away from TOH. Give your money to good management that actually cares about customer service. The rent is fair for the location, but dont sell out because of that--you get what you pay for, believe me. Car breakins, gunshots, fighting in the parking lot... Spare yourself. You wont be sorry.

I just saw a mouse run out of my kitchen right under my couch. Maintenance is some ass they take forever. The neighbors are so inconsiderate they play loud ass music all times of the night. If you dont have too, dont move here really..... I am a current resident its some trash!!!!
