What an incredible place. Larry’s has everything you need from instruments to sound equipment at a variety of price levels but without the fluff and junk of a corporate store. This is the only place I will take my instruments and amps to get worked on, both for the quality and turn around time. Staff is very knowledgeable (probably because they’re actually musicians) and friendly but never pushy and disingenuous like certain big brand stores. Best business in Hickory

Larrys Music & Sound is awesome. Theyve got great customer service, an incredible array of instruments/gear, and a fantastic website. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and everyone, and I plan on coming back again and again (despite the 1.5 hour drive). Theyre well worth it. Really great music shop! Visited Hickory today and had a good talk with the owner and some great stories. Cool vintage and new Fender guitars& tube amps. Also strings, effects, PAs and sound boards. Very happy we visited today, even picked up an acoustic amp. Thanks guys!

Ive a regular customer of Larrys since 80s. Funny how I never really realized the friendship he was building with me from me consistently going in the store with other friends before anyone even knew who I was. Ill always be loyal to him simply because he has always had a service thats been here for All of Us. Theres simply isnt enough space for me to explain how much he has looked out and supported me at this stage of my career as a musician and friend. I still get the chills when I walk in just like I did back in 89

Ive been here a couple of times the past year. Now, theyve never had what I am looking for or didnt carry it all, so I havent bought anything from them, yet. I actually like this place and its wonderful to have a music store in the downtown area.
