Even though Point S Capital City knew I was just an out-of-town customer passing through, they treated me as if I were their best regular customer! They came out to my location to put air in the flat tire on my tent trailer, helped me hook up the trailer, and then had me follow them to the store, where they took care of the new tires. It is so hard to find a qualified team you can sincerely trust and that leave you feeling like they have your best interest in mind. They not only diagnosed and fixed the engine light issue but also took the time to show me the read outs in real time from the diagnostic tools. Even took me on a test drive with it hooked up so I could see how it was doing overall. I never felt like I was being BS’ed or upsold on anything. Fair prices, superior people, quality work. We had a flat that turned into needing 4 new tires. The guys at Point S were able to get us our tires and everything right there. They were very friendly and accommodating for our little family.

My experience was great. The e.ployes were very polite and helpful. They answered any questions about my car I asked. They explain what has to be done the day I bring car in and let be know if there are any problems that will be needed don in the future. I have always had a very good experience with them.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I set an appointment and told them I would be providing all the components that needed to be replaced (upper/lower ball joints, control arms etc) Not once did anyone mention it would cost substantially more to use parts that I provided vs their cheap shop parts. After complaining about being mislead, they ended up charging me full price for their parts (even though they used mine) plus full hourly price to install them. Unbelievably frustrating experience.

Point-S was incredibly responsive when my car broke down and had to be towed into the shop. They kept me apprised of all developments and costs with numerous courteous and professional phone calls. I highly recommend and will definitely be using Point-S again

Joel, Forrest and the crew at Point S do a great job. I have been to them for everything from top of the line all-season radials to basic summer tires on my 1972 Saab. They stand by their products, and go the extra mile to ensure the customer is satisfied. We are fortunate to have this local business in town!

They always do a spectacular job of setting up appointment and asking right questions of what needs to be done. Work is always done in a timely and thorough manner. Explanation of work performance is always given with appropriate documentation and even pictures! Very professional!!My only complaint would be the fact that I had installed a brand new tie rod and needed alignment done by Point S. The tie rod was badly marred in adjustment. They should use tools or equipment that doesnt damage finish on part. Yes, even a tie rod.

Buying 4 new All season tires was something Id never done before, always got used, but they helped find the right kind for my taste driving habits and price point. (Admittedly I had some idea.) They rocked my world, until one of them started having a slow leak. I took it in and they took out the nail I acquired free and easy. I had expected to pay. This is a great place to go people.

Contributed to over $4,600 in repairs figured we had fairly open lines of communication with this dedication and long time customer base.Just had my routers done. More than I expected, fine. They were deep in there for more than a hour or so.NOW, immediately following my pads need replaced, wouldnt actual professionals check to see if my pads are safe for the road in this imspection...Finding problems that were simple $40.00 fixes that could have been resolved upon my prior visit.Now I have to go back into the shop pay another hourly shop rate to them when it could have resolved this issue.Had credit on my account and will not be returning to this location.Due to the lack or attention to vehicle inspections and sent me onto the road with sub standard breaks is unacceptable.

This past weekend during a road trip, I noticed my wifes truck alignment was off, and wearing a tire. I scheduled her an appointment at Point S Capital City for an alignment. She took it in and they put it on the rack for a little bit and brought it back down, The service writer told her that her lower ball joints were really bad they were shot and would be $700 to replace them. She called me, her husband and told me the situation and I told her that does not sound right, I take very good care of our trucks and would notice if lower ball joints were shot. The following weekend I pulled the front tires off to check for myself and I found nothing loose or worn. I took the truck to Whalen Tire and had them do an alignment and they did with no problem, I asked the tech after he finished did not say what we had been told at Point S; how are the ball joints? His exact words were, they were really tight and everything is in really good shape for a truck with a 130k miles. This leaves a few scenarios I can think of: Point S is shady or they do not know what they are doing or looked at the tire wear and made assumptions that the cause was lower ball joints. I really believe that most people are good and would not try to con my wife out of $700, but based upon reviews of the great work and training certificates on the wall, this really makes me question their intent.UPDATE: I want to be fair as possible with this review, with that said, Joel with Point S contacted me last night about the review and pictures I posted and he wants to find where the break down was in this situation, I agreed to let them look at my wifes truck again and figure out why this all happened.

We love our local auto shop, Point S! Joel and Forrest always give us the best service. Today, with the big snow storm, we could barely get around in our van. I called Joel and he and his team got us a new set of snow tires on the van in just a few hours, no appointment needed! We appreciate the attentive, helpful service we get each and every time we visit Point S!Thank you for always going the extra mile!

Great service. You might have to book out a few days in advance but I still recommend going here.They offer a free alignment inspection which includes a diagram showing the discrepancy between the rated alignment and current alignment. Helpful if you’re a curious car owner.

The staff at Point S are always friendly and knowledgeable. I brought my SUV in thinking it had a tire balancing issue. The tires were balanced but it still had a vibration when driven. The expert staff inspected the vehicle and pinpointed the issue as best as they could which resulted in a trip to the dealer for warranty work. Thanks for going above and beyond to keep me safe and my SUV running smooth.

Went in today to get my studded tires put on. I usually got to J&J but they were full so I was sent to this location. Employees had masks on with noses hanging out. 3 maskless customers came in while I was there, and not a word was said to them, even as they stood less than 6’ from others including an elderly woman wearing her mask who looked worried and afraid to say anything.Do better!

Point S is always great. This time I had to go in because my speedometer stopped working. Turns out a rodent chewed through wires. They are ordering me the part I need. I always get a great deal on service especially with the rewards program they offer.

I drove from Thompson Falls Montana. I needed an oil change and new tires it was provided in a timely manner and this far I am well pleased.

Nothing is worse than needing some tire work and being told the first appt is 5 days out! Josh was super helpful and was able to get me in the next day. All finished up by 10 am.

These guys have always been great to me. Ive got two sets of Goodyear rugged terrain tires from them for my 93 4-Runner over the years and been extremely pleased with both the tires and the excellent and friendly after-care service for stuff like tire rotations and tire mishaps. Today, I was trying to replace an inner tube on a wheelbarrow and couldnt get the tire back on the rim to save my life. Bopped down to Point S, almost at closing time (whew!), and they slapped it on and aired it up and I was good to go. Big shout-out to all you guys at Last Chance Gulch Point S!

When I picked up my car after getting a flat fixed, my car had a serious rattle that it did not have before I dropped it off. I went back to the shop after driving a few blocks. The service guy was kind enough to drive around the block with me and heard and felt the rattle. His recommendation was to take my car to the dealer because it is still under warranty. Didnt offer to look at to see if maybe something got knocked loose when they put it on lift to take tire off. They fixed the flat, but dissatisfied with customer service. Probably wont go back.

I’m still confused and perplexed at how awesome my experience was, honestly. I took my vehicle in for an inspection. It was a used (new to me) SUV from a dealership. I wanted to make sure it looked alright, and there wasn’t a potential issue with the rear differential. They got me in the same day and had a look. Not only did they inspect way more than the rear differential, but they took colored pictures and went over what they saw, with me(thankfully everything was good!). Then, the real kicker: they respectfully explained everything to me, patiently took any questions I had, and then....well then...they didn’t even charge me. Seriously? I had to pinch myself. I’ve had generally poor experiences with mechanics and was seriously taken aback with my experience here. All I can say is, if something actually does go wrong with my vehicle, I’ll certainly be taking it here.

Ive been going to PointS for 10+ years and have never been disappointed! They are so honest and hospitable. Awesome customer service.

I made an appointment for 1:30 to put studs on. It took them until 3:20 to get my work done. My wife had to cancel her 3:00 appointment and my son had to wait to get his afternoon snak. They made no attempt to even explain why it took almost 2 hours to put studs on. We will not be getting them removed by point s. Even though I bout both sets of tires from them.

The guys at Point S on Last Chance are awesome! I had to have some maintenance done that only took 2 hours to do, and they found another issue. They ordered the part so they can fix the issue tomorrow, and in the mean time I get to use my car! I have never had a mechanic let me take my car when they were going to have to do more work and I think it is just amazing since I have a kid who has to be dropped off and picked up from school. Everything was great except the glass repair work by Speedy glass on my windshield. They left one half done and totally missed another. I’ll have to find someone else to fix it now. If I were you, I’d disassociate myself from Speedy.

Those guys are always so helpful and go out of their way to assist you. They do their best to explain your options and find you the best options for what you can afford I even heard one of them offer to drop off a customer on his way home when her car wouldnt be ready .

Weve been going to Capital City Tire on the Gulch for many, many years and have always had great service. In this case I was very disappointed. I was told at the counter when I dropped the truck off that it would take a little more than an hour. It was almost 3 hours by the time I paid for the service and drove away. I was on a schedule so this really put a cramp in my day. They were kind enough to give me a ride to Starbucks when I dropped the truck off, but no one ever called me to let me know it would take so long. And when I drove away I checked my gauges only to find that the oil and fuel filter gauges had not been reset back to zero so I would know when its time to change them again. A day later I drove to Salt Lake City on my way to California. Part of what I requested when I dropped my truck off for service was to top of the DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fuel). Before I got to SLC I got a message on my dash saying I only had 20% left of DEF. Obviously, the DEF was not topped off.

My headlight adjustment issue was addressed in a timely fashion. Mechanic also pointed out that one bulb was weaker than the other...good to know!
