I had my van break down back in February, I was stuck in Helena and looking for a quick fix. DJs was pretty good about getting it back to me within a couple of days, however 4 months later I was stranded on the side of a mountain because they forgot to put a hose clamp on my water pump. I’m not a professional mechanic but I feel like that’s something that shouldn’t be over looked.

Everytime I need something fixed or looked at I go here. They always get me seen pretty quickly, have extreme amounts of knowledge, professional, and the only place I take for repairs.

They knew their stuff.I was told “Oh it’s a spark plug” “ Just replace it”. The Check Engine light continued to come on. I brought it to them, they dug deeper. Ended up being a computer. They replaced it the next day. Great job! They also answered every question I had.The truck is running great!

DJs always takes great care of us! Theyve helped us with a variety of issues and have always been prompt and fair. Most recently, they replaced our transmission and did a fantastic job. I called them on Thursday afternoon and they were able to squeeze us in and complete the job the next day for $1,000 less than what other shops quoted. Highly recommend DJs!

I had a very complicated engine problem, and another shop told me I needed a new engine. DJs not only correctly diagnosed the problem, and properly fixed it at a reasonable rate. My rig now runs perfectly. Ill be back for future maintenance for both of my vehicles.

When I needed help at 7am, DJs answered my call. DJs representative, Brian, was reassuring, honest, and kept me apprised of the repair schedule and costs throughout the process. The repair was much less than I anticipated, and I truly appreciated their effort to find alternatives that were more cost effective.

My experience with DJs Automotive was positive from the time I logged onto the website to set up an appointment through picking up my car after repairs had been completed. Everyone I encountered at the shop was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I felt they researched my cars issues and informed and made sure that I also understood the issue. Very efficient workers, honest people, fair prices. Bryan at the front desk is a nice fella, very intelligent and helpful. Changed my fuel pump in my truck about a year ago. Had it done on time and no hidden fees or charges. Best shop in Helena in my personal opinion.

We have had may vehicles repaired at DJs Auto from smaller repairs to larger repairs. We have only one issue with a repair made in the last 15 years. That issue was quickly resolved by DJs Auto with no added cost to the repair. We continue to take our repair work to them for professional repairs at a reasonable price.

I rely on the knowledge and honesty of DJs service department. The attention to detail, the photographs they show you and email you in regards to whats failing and explain why makes the difference. I wouldnt go anywhere else! Great outfit! No dealership collusion !

Fixed the issue for 5$, even though they tried to charge me 600-1000$. Do your research before giving your money away to these “mechanics”

Great service, but my car was left unlocked and $60 worth of items were stolen. Beware if you need to leave your vehicle overnight.That being said, they have replaced my items, which I was very appreciative of.

I have been going to DJ’s for over 7 years. They have done work on all my cars ranging from a 1993 to a 2016. I have sent just about every model, Chevy, Nisson, Ford, Toyota and Honda. So far, they have performed just about every type of service from oil changes, tune ups and front end replacement to new engine installs. DJs has a professional staff that takes the time to explain the issues where I can easily understand, there is no pressure to accept all the recommendations and they have always worked hard to get my cars in whenever I needed. I trust all my vehicle services to DJ’s and I recommend them to all my friends.

I bought my vehicle into DJs and appreciate the personal attention I was given. Both the owner and manager were very friendly and answered all my questions about preventative measures. They gave me several options for repair without being pushy! Had they been pushy they would not have gotten my business. From oil changes to larger jobs I would not hesitate in using DJs again.

We had significant car trouble in Bozeman, MT, on our trip from Denver to Seattle. After having an unfortunate experience with the Subaru dealership in Bozeman, we had the car towed to Helena and delivered to DJs on a recommendation. The nearly $4,000 work order and week long service expectation that the Bozeman dealership estimated turned out to be $681 and just three days of work at DJs before we were back on the road again. DJs systematically identified our cars problems, confirmed them, and then solved them knowledgeably and carefully. We had full confidence in our car when we left their shop and have felt comfortable calling them since with any questions or concerns. In all of my 35 years of car ownership, I have never felt more at ease with an automotive repair shop. They treated us well and were kind and understanding. I recommend their services highly!

The workers where very kind and fast. They listened to my problem and did everything in their power to help. Its hard to find a new trustworthy mechanic when you move and these guys really made my search easier. I look forward to working with them in the future.

I can’t say enough about DJ’s. These guys have gone above and beyond to take care of me when I brought my vehicles in. I have been to other places in town that have ripped me off. It felt like I could never find a shop that I could trust to be trueful and not take advantage of the fact that I know nothing about vehicles. My son brought his car in for a mechanical issue. It was fixed and price was good. But car was left outside overnight unlocked. Someone got in it and ripped the glove box door off. It has a combination barrel lock. DJ was going to look for a replacement. We called a couple times but said he was looking. We paid him for his work, but glove box issue not resolved.

Brought in an 01 galant for a radiator replacement, was filled with Valvoline PHOAT coolant, Ive got a couple issues with how it was serviced.1.They couldnt be bothered to drain the reservoir I guess.2. They filled the radiator with green coolant and left the blue in the reservoir, so I had to flush it and replace the coolant AGAIN. After paying 350 bucks for a replacement, you guys couldnt be bothered to put new coolant in? REALLY? Im really surprised an auto shop would mix coolant types. Thats a really novice mistake. Was not expecting that. I laughed and was sad at the same time.3. At least the radiator is new, I was half expecting a used one after seeing the reservoir not even drained.

Great work and honest people.

We brought our Ford diesel one ton truck in because it was smoking (smelled like unburned fuel), wouldnt go into four wheel low, the parking brake wasnt working, and the squirter for the windshield washer wasnt working. DJs had our truck for the better part of one month. They charged us nearly $3000.00. Now the truck still smokes, there is NO four wheel drive at all, the parking brake still does not work. There is, however, a tiny little bit of washer fluid that squirts weakly onto part of the windshield. Not happy. When I called to discuss the issues, Brian blamed me for the problems. IE: Well, it took longer than it should have because you wouldnt give us permission to do the work. I gave permission within 48 hours of the estimate. We dont know what happened after you drove it out of the shop. I called as soon as I recognized all the things that were still not fixed. Even less happy. They did not seem to do the work they are hired to do & they do not seem to care.

Djs is a local family owned company! They are all very friendly and helpful! They have always taken care of my truck everytime it has needed looked at....368000 miles and still kicking and I have Djs automotive to thank for that! Go in and give them at shot at making you and your vehicle happy!

I had my truck in for service and repairs. They took over a month. Were unresponsive to calls. When I finally got it back they DID NOT: check or change the oil.it was low and needed to be changed . check or clean the air filter (K&N); checked batteries they said they were fine - they werent (I told them I suspected they were bad) I had ask them to check it over & get it ready for road. They replaced clutch ( I hope). All in all extremely disappointed. After having it for a month,almost $2k not returning calls I expected more attn to basic details.

I am about to graduate from Carroll College and I am from the Seattle area. I drive my 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada back and forth a few times a year. When the check engine light came on a friend from Helena recommended DJs to me and I have taken my car their for regular services for the past three years. Every time the prices have been reasonable, the work has been done in a timely fashion, I was walked though everything that was done to my car, and treated exceptionally well. I would recommend DJs to anyone who needs their car checked out or just a regular servicing.

Ive been going to DJs before it was DJs - theyve taken care of my Nissan and two Subarus. I trust them completely and have never been disappointed. I note that some folks have had less than happy experiences but I guarantee if you talk with Don or Sam theyll take care of the situation pronto.

Nearing the end of working on my car, DJs called me with an estimate for the repairs. When I arrived to pay, the total cost to fix my car was double the cost they quoted me (hundreds more). In addition, I asked the mechanic not to fix something because I had found another mechanic who would fix the same thing for 1/3rd the price. He went ahead and fixed portions of the part anyway, costing me $150 for a part that ended up being useless a few weeks later when the entire thing was replaced. I ended up having to cancel certain repairs I had planned because the total cost was hundreds more than I expected to pay. The only reason Im giving them two stars instead of one is because after hearing about the misleading information I was given, the owner gave me most of the parts at cost and cut some of the labor, which I appreciated. However, it was still hundreds of dollars that didnt need to be spent in the first place.

It might be because I drive a VW Jetta 2010 (its worth very little) but because I drive European car or something I felt like I was getting ripped off. (the car is only worth $6500). I also got an oil pan from them which took 2-3 weeks to get it in the shop. Over two weeks. I found V-dubz and more after. If you drive VW go there instead. I felt way better there.
