I have seen the worst Management of this apartment. One month back, they promised to give apartment by October.I have been asking them(Levi) daily about the apartment update but they dont pick up the call nor even they reply to the messagesAfter approving application, they said we cant give apartment by mid of October. They should have told me some time before. Is this makes sense? This is how you treat your customer after taking application fee.
Bushnell on the Park is a fantastic place to live. The apartments are recently updated: bath and kitchen have modern finishes and new appliances. The rooms are spacious, and design is open-plan with clean lines and big windows. I doubt that there is another building on the 91 corridor that has as nice views as does Bushnell!Maintenance is responsive and they do a great job. The team has worked to resolve issues quickly whenever a request is made or work order entered. The location is one of the best parts. Few cities of its size in the US offer the amenities that the Hartford area does. Downtown Hartford is clean and safe and just steps from Bushnell. I imagine it will really come to life this summer as the pandemic subsided and restrictions are lifted.I highly recommend life at Bushnell!
It is an old apartment with very bad maintenance. Two lifts here are beyond their expiry date which results in lift issues atleast once in every two days. Security here is not upto the mark (Couple of then are very rude as well) due to this you can see regular intrusion from outsiders which is a serious threat to the resident. Gym here is way below average standards with almost no equipments. If you have any problem in the flat concerned people will not respond immediately. Even if we address all these issues the building authorities do not take any action.
New management is not responsive .. you have issues with air conditioning.. no parking space allocated even after reminders..they don’t respond to calls or emails ..
Eli was exceptional. Quick responses. he kept it friendly and personable, yet professional. Shows that she cares and is very understanding. It was such a relief to speak to Eli after previously speaking with other difficult Property managers. Besides my beautiful apartment and the location, the main reason Ive stayed at Bushnell is the excellent customer service provided by the Bushnell staff including, management, theLOVELY LADIES in the leasing office, the maintenance crew, and the cleaning staff. Everyone is trulyGREAT!!! I LOVE it here!
DO NOT TRUST THE POSITIVE REVIEWS OF THIS APARTMENT ON HERE OR ESPECIALLY APARTMENTS.COM. Many are clearly fake and paid for by the apartment. Apartments.com also selectively picks and chooses which reviews to post based on whether they align with the interests of their clients - effectively preventing reviews from actual residents from being posted. The review I originally attempted to post in February but was not approved on Apartments.com...Updates have been added as needed. At the time of this review, the listing on this apartment states garage parking is available - that couldnt be farther from the truth. The dilapidated garage has been under construction for 6-7 months and is still ongoing. Hopefully, that fixes the literal chunks of concrete falling from the ceiling, but who knows (see the Hartford Courants article Residents decry conditions at downtown Hartford’s Bushnell on the Park). For each of the past five weeks, management has stated that construction on the garage would conclude in two weeks time. Im still hearing that as of today. Without the garage, the state of parking is absolutely atrocious. You have to park in a rented out lot over a third of a mile away in a very poor part of Hartford. Automobile break ins as well as robberies are very common (both here, and right by the apartment). Many residents have fallen victim to this crime. Also - good luck getting a parking pass for the lot I just mentioned because management will not inform you of its existence nor give you any actual information regarding where it is acceptable to park upon moving in. Because of this lack of communication from management, many residents have unknowingly parked in restricted areas (of which there is no proper signage) immediately surrounding the apartment and have been ticketed or towed without any warning. I, myself, have received FOUR tickets and have been towed once since moving in a little over a month ago. Staff who work the front desk are just as ignorant to where it is acceptable to park as they will actually recommend you to park in areas that are restricted and that will lead to your car undoubtedly getting towed. Reaching out to management regarding parking or just about anything else is also futile as they will simply ignore you, or if they do respond, they will give you a perfectly canned response of virtually no help. UPDATE 4/29/21: Managements lack of communication is even worse than I thought. Without warning residents until the day of, the apartment conducted fire alarm testing for FIVE HOURS starting at 10 am. The fire alarm was quite literally blaring for five hours straight. The next day, the fire alarm went off AGAIN for another hour starting at 9 am this time. The lack of notice that this would be occurring is completely and utterly unacceptable. At this point I shouldnt even be surprised because fire alarms (with response from Hartfords Fire Department) tend to go off at least once every two weeks. This occurs because of just how poorly ventilated the kitchens in the apartments are. Finally, regarding the building itself, the elevators are severely outdated and actually caused someone to get trapped the other day. One of the two elevators takes ~40 seconds to open once it reaches the lobby floor. Update 4/29/21: There is now only ONE barely functional elevator for 12 stories in service. Expect to wait at least 10 minutes for it to arrive at your floor during busy hours. Want to take the stairs? You cant - the door to the stairs is locked from the first level of the apartment.Highly, highly recommend NOT LEASING from this apartment. There are so many better options in downtown Hartford.
Be careful and read who the reviews are from. most are fake and look like they are all from the same person who is posting reviews for different apartments and businesses across the country. Dont trust the 5 star reviews about this place!
Worst apartment in downtown area. No security, maintenance is extremely poor, looks like they have criminal records, no respect for the tenants. Please stay away from these apartments.
Fantastic experience at this property! Eli is very welcoming and accommodating, and goes out of his way to make us feel at home. Highly recommend living here!
Bushnell on the park has been our home for the last 3 years, and Eli has gone out of his way to make our living experience as enjoyable as possible. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quality living experience at an excellent price.
This building has really come a long way, apt have been upgraded, as have hallways etc....Managment is super responsive, and we get first service class ...
Terrible management.
What is th best way to contact you for new Lease?UPDATE:I went to their leasing office today. I saw leasing office was closed, but on way the Bushnell tower security lady informed me that leasing agent is there and she is at basement for some work. Requested me to wait. After sometime one maintenance guy came and he called the property manager to i form that I’m waiting. After 15 he again came and said “SHE WILL NOT MEET ANYONE WITHOUT APPOINTMENT” and gave one card, she will never receive your call or reply. “EVEN PRESIDENT IS NOT THAT BUSY”PROPERTY OWNER- if you are reading this please teach your people give little respect to customers. Even if you are not interested in leasing there are some basic manners which is lagging from your office staff.Dear Property Manager: I don’t want to put your name in public here, but please respect people, it costs nothing. Our time is more precious than you.Guys please avoid this property, there are 100 of other apartments near by to stay. “THEY NEED TO LEARN BASIC ETHICS AND BEHAVIOUR FIRST”
The apartment for a great place to live, right in the heart of the city with great transport and great views. All major celebrations are done right in front of the apartment. Great security the only problem with the apartment was the management was a little rough. otherwise awesome place to live in and would highly recommend.
Fantastic. The renovated units makes this building one of the best places to live in Downtown Hartford.
Under new management and has majorly improved! NO bed bugs in this building! Management and Maintenance work extremely hard to fulfill requests and continue to strive towards a great experience!
Horrible - is the only word I have to describe this place. I have been staying here for over a year now. I must contend that the location is amazing and very convenient. But you wouldnt pay over $1400 in rent for a 1-bedroom place if the location was not great. I have basically 2 major issue with the place.1. Property: The apartments are decent with semi-modern appliances. But one of the two elevators is usually not available for one reason or another. If you stay on one of the higher floors then good luck getting home. Also, the treadmills in the gym are in a perpetual state of repairs. You do not have the ability to control the temperature at all. The heat/ air-conditioning is central and fully controlled by the management. And they usually lag behind in switching from heat to ac or vice versa. Even that is tolerable given the fact that electricity is included in the rent. However, it never gets cool enough in summers and hot enough in winters to feel comfortable at home. Be prepared to buy an additional heater/ cooler.2. Management: Over the past 8-9 years I have stayed in many different places across the country and it is sort of rare to come across a very friendly and efficient management. So I have never had high expectations of the management. But Cindy, who manages the property, makes all those previous property-managers highly desirable. To put it subtly, she is not very kind to people of certain region/ type. For example we had sold some of our old furniture to a friend and needed to move it out. When my husband went to her requesting to reserve one of the two elevators for moving she flatly refused citing that as per the property norms they cannot reserve an elevator from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.- 6 p.m. since it was a rush hour. Although we were not pleased with it, we conceded and changed our moving time. After that there have been at least 3 times when I have noticed elevator being used for moving purposes during those times. There have been other instances when we have felt being treated differently. Some of my friends in the building have felt the same way.In conclusion, all you are paying for is the location and you do not want to be in a place where they dont treat you right.
Poorly managed apartments. Extremely bad property manager. She needs training on talking to people. No words to describe. They need to pay the tenants for renting their apartments. The maintenance person seems like he has a criminal background
Place is a bit rough around the edges, but things are improving under the new property manager, sort of.
I lived there for about 2 years because of the convenience to walk to my work place. Except the location there isnt much to this community. Most of the things that other reviewers have mentioned regarding the uncaring management, costliness and broken condition of the building is true. So no point in me reiterating the same thing. The only thing I will add is that my car was broken into and stuff stolen when I had parked in the building. They did not have any footage, did not have any explanations and were not apologetic about the incident at all. In fact they did not have the courtesy to call and be empathetic.
The management here is really really bad. You cannot believe how rough the management is. But there are also some advantages. It is in the downtown, so the transportation here is little convenient to some extent.
Lived here 6 yrs. last two years with new management have been horrific. Constant heat issues. Elevators consistently broken. Unclean grounds with rats and black mold in the garage. Furthermore garage is broken and no full time security on duty. Currently insensitive manager on duty has no regard for customer service. Oh yeah and the bed bugs. I did call the City on them to report the rats too
Horrible!! Last month before my departure, their people told me that I can get a large amount of my deposit, but after I moved out, they told me I can get nothing with bad service. The deposit is $1800 which is a rental payment for a month!! And I have been though the BED BUG and they would not compensate you!!
Worst Apartment ever, Please stay away from this place,Management very arrogant, New Property Manager most arrogant Manager you will ever speak to, she is never available in the office and there is no escalation chart you can report her too.Cooling and Heating both are a problem, most of the time there is no security anybody can walk in freely, the Garage door is always broken, no safety for your cars.always loud noise in the building, Lift is very slow are very outdated, under repair most of the time,The gym is small as a bathroom always stinking with no ventilation what so ever.
Very bad experience. Management is also not good. Apartment quality is damm bad. Because of water leakage apt is in worst condition but since last one month management is just blaming on insurance and no temporary fixes or arrangement given to me and even no compensation in rent. I would not at all going to recommend anyone.
The management used to be bad. With the owners it is much worse. My heat went out for 5 days during a blizzard and they gave me a space heater after the third day (after I fought to get one) -- the space heater broke. I tried reasoning with management for some type of relief and they stiffed me with the worst customer service you can imagine. The elevators are ancient and the rooms are okay at best. Heat and water are included but they will not take responsibility for when it breaks down (averaged 2x per month). The staff outside of the building manager and the owner are really nice and hospitable and make it a little better. If you want to feel ripped off, feel free to move here. Otherwise, there are plenty of other options in Hartford that are well worth the extra money.
Do not stay here. The management is pathetic and unprofessional . They won’t give you your security deposit back even after multiple follow up. Not worth the money and the apartments are poorly maintained. They would also not service your maintenance requests for months. Stay away!!
Horrible management since this building was sold to Detail management group and the owners got changed. We used to complaint about old manager Cindy, but now we miss her.New owner wont bother to see building as he makes better money with his other business.Bed bugs were reported months back but Jack and his so called group did not pay any attention.now bed bugs are in almost all units 01 to 07 (started on 10th floor). This is my 4th year in this building and now time to break the lease and move out.Jack the manager is a lazy man; he comes late an leave early, I waited to meet him on Friday till 10:30AM he was not in till then, when I came back at 2:15PM he left for weekend. These guys sucks!!Stay Away!
-Entire Building was evacuated recently due to heat issues. People had to shift to other places for days together.-One of the lift doesnt work most of the times.-No carpet cleaning done event after multiple requests.-Window panes issues lead to cold air coming in.-Very costly apartments and poor maintenance .
Absolutely Fantastic.
Pathetic management, knows only to collect rent, not worth the money.
Nice place to live
Bed Bugs!
The place where the soul is dreaming about miss yanyan ~
