Went in for a 4 wheel alignment and set and waited for over an hour and then told they couldnt get bolts off because they were stuck .Didnt perform the alignment and charged me 22 dollars for nothing. Just ridiculous! Should of paid me for my time.

Came back here in 2016 get engine overhaul done, dropped off on day get services done as instructed with no service lights on the dashboard (keep this in mind you will see later and I will explain) they completed services and we came pick the car up, when we did we noticed a problem, on dashboard, one of engine service lights came on it was ABS light.when we went inside ask see if they could look at problem, they said it would be $100 service charge, (why charge us when we just spent $1,500 on one service already ) we passed on it, got into car and left .Then my and girlfriend at time then started think and assume they had tamper with car electrical system when they did car service for engine overhaul make that light come on get more money out of us . Cause who would want more money after your making people pay $1,500 for car engine service charge, it makes sense .The point is these people like rip people off get money out of you after you pay big amount of cash for big service, please keep eye out this in future, make sure you check your dashboard when you get these big services done .

Charged my mom 330 to take 2 screws out of water pump that broke and then replaced the 2 screws remind u they did not have to remove water pump or anything just remove and replace screws took 2 days they said which should have taken only 1 hour .the water pump was already put on

I have used Rodriguezs since I moved to Harrisonburg. They are wonderful people that do quality work. I first was referred to them through a friend who remarked on their reasonable labor fees. I went once and have been back every since. Id refer anyone to them for maintenance or repair work after the stellar work they have done on 3 of my cars!

I switched to Rodriguez Auto a couple years ago. They’ve been nothing but total pros.. reasonable prices, fast, and they always inform and inquire before performing a service. Naty at the front desk is the best. Thanks guys, for always taking good care of my sweet old Ford Escort.

I brought my volvo to luis because the hood wouldnt open, he ended up charging me 900 dollars just to open and fix the hood and didnt even replace or fix the hood struts. He also tried to swindle me out of my car and trade me a busted dodge neon. There are plenty of better mechanics in harrisonburg

Very friendly, keeps you updated step by step (even sends pictures etc). The lady up front went beyond her job to help me out. I went there to drop off parts that I had and the mechanic took them back to make sure they were the right parts. Then he brought out the troubled part to visually show me what happened. The interaction they provide means more than they will know. All that and they have very reasonable rates. You cant go wrong. Thank you for your great work.

They tried to convince me i had metal chunks in my transmission fluid and needed a new transmission. Two things wrong with that. My transmission was serviced just prior somewhere else and my type pf car has a transmission filter meant to catch anything like that. The chunks they tried to show me were really the dope used to seal the threads of the plug. They are trying to pull one over on you. The way the outside looks (a complete mess) is representative to their trust worthiness.

I should have written a review for the fine folks at Rodriguez Auto Services a long time ago as weve been taking our vehicles here for years now.They are courteous, kind and honest. They always check with you before they perform any work outside of the normal scope of the job theyve been tasked with. Their rates are more than fair and the work is always done right. I really cannot speak highly enough of them. The ONLY people I will have service our vehicles! Very good work and worked fast and efficient

Honestly the best place to have your car serviced! I am a JMU student on a budget and they had my car running the next day and ready for me to pick up. It wasnt an easy job either because I had my fuel pump replaced. Best price and service in town. All of the employees were amazing at calling me and keeping me updated and didnt do anything without calling me first!

Worst place and terrible Service. I had my car towed to get it looked at because it had been shutting off while driving. They did not care or take the time to take a good look at my car. They claimed that the battery had been going bad and just simply charged it over night. I trusted their opinion and picked up my car. Not even on the way home my car shut off again. Took my car to autozone and they ran a diagnosis and it was the alternator that was bad. Such a simple fix but because these people did not really check my car I wasted my time and money. Never again

What a FANTASTIC PLACE!!! Our 22 yr. old daughter traveled from Ohio to Harrisonburg, for her first travel venture of her new job. Her car breaks down, clutch went out of the car. A national chain garage wanted HUGE PRICE to put her clutch in. I quickly jumped on the net and found Rodriguez Auto( they had great reviews), there is a reason too! Flor was incredible when I spoke to her and explained the situation. They had her fixed the very next day, and a lot cheaper than the MAJOR CHAIN(which we all know how major chain companies rip ppl off).....People of Harrisonburg, you folks have an INCREDIBLE PLACE in Rodriguez Auto Service!!!!Thanks again

Part two after shop replyToday my brother was replacing engine coil for me I did not timed him but I would say it took him 15 minutes to disassemble wiper blade assembly there was more than engine coil problem (Im still waiting for resolution to my problem will post in part 3)At the shop I did requested to get diagnostics for this misfire issue. Shop did usk what I wanted to get diagnostics I told them that to check connectors for my car and everything that associated with it due to the fact that I was planning big trip and I did not wanted to have problem while trip. Therefore I was giving up to them to give me fair and honest information to completely and accurately make decision for this repair. Rodriguez do have cheaper price for changing spark plugs but they did fail to completely explain all that was possible to expect from this issue. Second what they could have done and what I did today is test drive car before installing assembly it would have saved some time that costed money what else they could have done is if they do honestly made mistake in their decision is offered discount for price of desisembling and installing wiper blade assembly free of charge for time of doing this work and charging for testing engine coil and that would have been their best resolution to this work because Im trying to learn professional skills and dont mind to redo my work if there was a problem because of me and would expect same from professional person that is why two stars but they are right I should have given 4 that what I will do right now.Hope you can learn and offer better service. I will be happy to see further reply from shopPart one. I have brought car for spark plugs replacements and also requested to diagnose any connectors that are associated with spark plugs after they changed spark plugs, please keep in mind that I specifically requested to diagnose connectors to spark plugs and engine coil is one of them and they can be diagnosed with electric power reader before assembling everything and taking test drive.The problem is that they have replaced spark plugs ignored request to test engine coil and now I have to pay to disassemble wiper blade assembly and replace engine coil. When all could have been done if they completed my request.(wiper blade assembly which takes 10 minutes for professional to disassemble when they did disassemble they took close to 20 - 30 minutes per disassembling and assembling because I have spend more than 1:30 hour for this visit the work that needed to be done should have then between 30 minutes if they were professional to 1 hour for price they charge. )Over all I would give them 4 stars for doing work compared to many quick mechanic shops but will decrease for being unhonest and professional (if they did completed my request then they would have earned better rating but their luck of professionalism and honesty prevented them from getting good rating and even I who just trying to learn about car mechanics. Knew that there was potential for other problems beside spark plugs understood that there was need for other diagnostics when doing spark plugs exchange and having order to making sure that everything works.)
