Working with this insurance company toward reaching a settlement has been one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had in my life. Two weeks ago someone with their coverage was at fault in a car accident I was involved in. Immediately I had my insurance call them to open a claim. There was no response. I called them approximately 5 times several days later because they had still not contacted me. There was no response. I called again the day after and was told an adjuster would contact me later that day. No one called. The next day I called approximately 10 times before finally getting ahold of my adjuster directly. After talking she said she would have someone call the next day and let me know the exact time that he would be out to access the damages on my vehicle that day. No call. No show. I called this insurance company approximately 10 times before an answer. The man who answered said someone from their appraisal firm should have called me, and he gave me the appraisal firms name. I called them about 20 times (no joke) and no one ever answered. Called Rockingham back they said there was nothing they could do but that they could GUARANTEE that someone would call and be there to access the damages that day. No call. No show. We have now spent approximately 2 weeks without a car. Don’t know if the old one is totaled or not. We think it probably will be but no telling considering no one will talk to us, pick up the phone, or come look at the damage.

This will serve as an update to my prior review. It has been 11 weeks since my car was rear-ended by someone using this insurance provider. At our last contact about 3 weeks ago, the Rockingham agent assigned to our case stated that Rockingham is still in the process of determining liability. Since then, Glenda Coffee, the adjuster assigned to our case has stopped answering our calls or calls from our insurance company. We called her supervisor as well: no answer. Our insurance company was told the only person authorized to speak on matters of liability was the Rockingham agent assigned to our case who has been stonewalling us. Additionally, if you refer to my prior review, you will see Rockingham offered their apologies and gave me a number to call in an effort to resolve the issue. This number is the same number we have been calling to no avail. This is seriously the most unprofessional company that I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

I filed a claim in June for flood damage. As August 1st approaches I have yet to settle. This is the first time Ive ever filed a claim. I dont know if this time frame is normal. Ive had this insuranceFor a few years.Customer service has always been good

I have never seen such caring and empathic souls like the ladies in the Customer Experience Team. They sure go above and beyond and out of their ways to make sure the Rockingham customers are treated with respect and meet their expectations. Even in the “worst” days these ladies have a smile in their faces and the best positive attitude with the customers.

Our car was damaged by a Rockingham insured driver over the thanksgiving weekend. When we called to file a claim we were lucky enough to get Doug Netherwood as our Adjuster. He worked with us to make sure the body shop met our scheduling needs and also that they repaired the car to our specifications. His communication was great and overall we are pleased with the repair. Thanks Doug, for turning a bad situation into a more positive one!!

I had been with Rockingham since I was able to drive since my parents had a policy with them for years. At first everything was great, but once I was off my parents insurance, they soon changed insurance companies after pricing comparing. I stayed with Rockingham to stay local until I moved to another state; however, the past year I have had some difficulties with them. First example, when I moved from one county to a safer area with a shorter commute I was told over email that I was going to recieve money back since I paid in full for the year, yet I was charged this amount months later. Then when I realized I wasnt going to be able to continue my policy with them in my new state, I cancelled weeks in advance with my agent yet it wasnt taken care of until I got other people involved. Once they realized I was cancelling their customer service completely changed in my opinion. Plus, after all this I price checked (with the same or better policy terms) and I realized I had been paying double what I could have been paying with other companies.

Awful company, canceled my insurance without notification, have to take legal matters now, after an accident, STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY. I could end up loosing my home, paying for cost out of pocket for my leased vehicle. I would have happily paid double to a competitor. Scam artists.

I have a GL claim right now with a subcontractor who has this company as a carrier. Its a black and white claim. Rockingham was notified over 30 days ago and they have yet to even send a adjuster to the property. They are purposely dragging their feet on the claim. Please do not use this company for a insurance carrier. They are the equivalent of The General in the auto insurance world. They have been rude to our agent and our company. You would be better off not having insurance at all! They will take your money but they wont pay a dime on very obvious claims! They wont even come look at the situation! They are breaking the law. Our next step is the TN department of Commerce and Insurance! Please dont use them!

PLEASE READ SO YOU DONT GET SCREWED OVER BY THIS INSURANCE COMPANY LIKE MY FAMILY DID!!!!I would look anywhere else for homeowners insurance. This place has completely dropped the ball with my family on recent claim. First and foremost, their response time was absolutely horrible. They put all the blame on of the wait on every one else that they sub the work out to.I understand this is going to be long but I want everyone to see the whole situation as it happened .My family and I live in Ashland VA and in early May, we had severe rain that cause massive damage to our basement. Probably about $45,000 worth of damage if not more. We have a fully furnished apartment for our basement. There is a living room, kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom, walk in closet, small closet workshop and screen porch. We had TWO SEPARATE issues.The first issue was a sump pump failure issue. We were upfront with the insurance company and adjuster from the get to. We explained that the sump pump failed and caused leakage through the walk in closet and part of the bedroom. We understood this would be limited coverage as it pertains to underground water. The sump pump was replaced within an hour and self corrected the problem quick.The second issue was from a roof leak. The roof leak cause massive amounts of water to cone into our work shop. It pulled heavily and went under the door that leads to the dining area and shower. The water spread from there and came into the kitchen and went into a closet and continued into the living room and part of the bedroom. There was about 4 inches of water in some spots. It ruined our whole bathroom, all the walls about six inches to a for high from the ground, all the cabinets, or couch, rugs, etc .We called and filled a claim. We UNDERSTOOD that with all the reason there were several people with the same problem. We decided to have someone come out and give us a quote on getting everything and replacing it. Upon his arrival, he said we needed to fog our basement. We went ahead because we knew the insurance process would take a week or so. After TWO weeks, we finally had someone come out. This gentleman saw and noted that the roof had a leak and understood the text sperate issues. He reported it to the insurance company. We didnt hear ANYTHING for about a week until we called. Mold was setting in and we have two boys with asthma. After trying to push them to do something for us, they said they had to send someone else out. At this point we thought that since the claim was so high, maybe they just needed a second opinion in order to make sure we would be taken care of. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE.They send someone else out to clean up the other adjusters mess. This was the word from the lady working with the adjuster. Right off the bat, we could see, this guy was sent out to basically make sure the insurance company didnt have to pay what we have insurance for. Basically, this guy said that all the damage was surface water damage and that it wouldnt be covered. All in all. The insurance came out of pocket with about $14,000. $5000 of this is for sump pump failure. They are saying that $30,000-$35,000 of the damage is on us to repair it of our pocket.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go with any other company besides this company so you do not get placed in this spot when there is a catastrophe. Take my experience and just find ANYONE else. The customer service was horrible and all they did was completely mess up our life. We have to take a contact loan out on our good to fix this. If I could go back and find anyone else, I would do so in a heart beat.
