I am so glad they were forced to open up shop in a new location. It seems they were offering less services (limited to nails, brows and lashes for now) but that did not stop them for providing great service. I was a walk-in for a fill and they took me right away. Vince is very nice, thorough and he used clean instruments. He made recommendations and was flexible. I will be a return customer even if they dont stay in the derry street location permanently.

This place is really like a salon and spa. They offer a good range of services and the staff is super friendly. I have been here twice. My first visit wasnt 100% the best because I thought my service was free due to a Groupon. The lady doing my hair failed to tell me that it might be more because my hair is long. Make a long story short, the salon worked with my on paying the remaining amount on a later day.My 2nd visit was 1 1/2 years later. Once again, I bought another Groupon. It does say for only new customers and I figured I was new enough considering I hadnt been back due to a bad experience. I explained that to the owner and he kept telling me they would so it just this once but it was only for newbies. The owner isnt the most pleasant person but he does seem to work with you a little but he acts like hes forced to do so.Other than this, its a nice place but the prices can be a bit high depending on what you want.

Definitely professional and knowledgeable. And would highly recommended. My first time there but second Brazilian wax and first full leg wax. Kelly was awesome. She made me very comfortable and at ease through the whole process. Wouldnt definitely be back.

I absolutely loved my experience with Spalon. This place is a hidden gem off of Paxton street. I had pedicure and manicure on my first visit. Staff friendly. Scheduled appointment in advance, waited few short minutes (Really impressed). Vince did both manicure and pedicure so well I scheduled another visit for a manicure a few weeks later. I also took my 9 year old daughter. We ❤️Spalon!!

Had a great time with my daughter. Both got a great pedicure at a totally fair price. Place is clean and relaxing. Our appt started on time and couldnt ask for more.

I usually dont do these but the service I received was excellent. She took the time to go over the cut she suggested for my hair type. I am someone with long curly hair so the cut is important. I am very happy with how it turned out. I would definitely go there again.

Had a wonderful massage with Taylor. They were able to see me the same day I called. Taylor really worked out the tension and stiffness in my neck and shoulders. So glad that I didn’t have to wait for an appointment. They were very accommodating. I will definitely recommend to friends. I can’t wait to try their other services.

Amazing customer service to strive for the satisfaction and confidence they would like their customers to feel, even new ones! I went to get a wax and they were able to get me an appointment that day. To my surprise, when I mentioned lashes and a facial they made the time to make sure I left happy. Felt like I was extremely satisfied with my time there.

Today was my first time going to Spalon. I requested a full set with the dip powder. I was beyond lucky to have Jasmine be my nail tech. She made a point to know my name and refer to me by it, patient, gentle, and did beyond a wonderful job on my nails. I am very picky when it comes to the shape and quality of my nails and she got it perfect. They just gained a returning customer in me.

We booked multiple manicures and pedicures here for my sisters wedding... 8 gals, brought wine, were loud and crazy. They were AMAZING. They reserved the whole place for us free of charge for 3 hours, the services were beyond expectation, and they treated us like Family. Highly recommend and will be back!!!

While those providing services were nice, the people behind the counter were curt and incredibly unhelpful. Salon? Sure. Spa? Absolutely not. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere else where they make some effort to make you feel welcome.

Worse Brazilian wax ever. She was so rough and the wax burnt my skin. The wax is supposed to warm, not blazing HOT! The wax you use for eyebrows is not supposed to go down there. I’m not a professional but I’m pretty sure there’s a difference between face wax and body wax. Also, a Brazilian wax includes front and back. She tried to charge me extra for services that’s supposed to be included. I will not be returning to this place.

Prior to the haircut there, my hair had always been long with slight layers. My hair was bra length. I got some girl who complained about her job the whole time. I made mistake of closing my eyes and resting during my haircut. The hairdresser had me turned around so I couldnt see. I tried just blocking her out entirely. She complained about her deadbeat boyfriend and hating her job. I told her same hair cut that I had, except two inches shorter to get dead ends off. When she turned me around and I opened my eyes, I realized I now had a mullet. My longest layer was still down to my bra line in back. But the top I couldnt even pull back into a pony tail. I was horrified. I complained and the owner gave me a better more blended cut. I was actually crying it was so terrible. The owner didnt say two words to me and made me feel like I was an annoyance to her. Sorry your incompetent employee cant even do a trim right. However, the hair cut is still a mullet. It was impossible to style, the bottom layer is paper thin. I ended up having to get my hair cut shoulder length (obviously somewhere else) because there was absolutely no salvaging my hair. I have always had long hair and hate this short hair. The girl totally ruined my hair. I cant believe she is even employed by anyone. my coworker stated the same hairdresser ruined her mother in laws hair. My top layer of hair still cant be pulled into a ponytail without Bobby pins and its been several months. I am a RN and have to have my hair pulled back for work. I looked ridiculous with Bobby pins on top of my head holding hair back while the longest part of my ponytail was bra line length. I cant believe someone could turn a trim into a mullet, but employees here did. Do not go here unless you want a terrible hair cut. Suggest this place to people you dont like.

Spalon has not only a great atmosphere but one of the best stylists around. Vivian is experienced with all levels and types of hair care. She also has what I would call, growing hands. Brazilian Blowouts, relaxers, color, etc. You name it and she does it well.

I bought a Groupon coupon for single hair color and cut. I was told the hair color was for roots only. Another $40. for full single color on my shoulder length hair. I was thrown off, accepted it only to find I had a very inexperienced technicianthat spoke little English do my color and completely mess it up. Lighter roots, uneven color and dry, lackluster. I had to get it redone with a different stylist. No apologies from manager. Shady operation.

The lady who waxed our eye brows was hilarious and nice. However, the staff seemed rude with each other. Also, the bed we laid on had a wet spot on it. Later as the lady was doing my partners eye brows, the lady was talking about how she dis a bikini wax just before us. Ugh. So thats where the spot came from.

Known Vivian and Chinh for years. Vivian is superb with cutting my short hair and my teenage daughters long thick hair. I love the full service they offer at Spalon.

The lady at the desk was friendly enough, but the spa itself gave me some weird vibes. A Groupon brought me there, but I will not be going back. The massage (deep tissue) was mediocre at best. I do not know about the other spa services, but I am not willing to find out. The other staff was mostly just hanging out and didnt look very professional at all.

Horrible place to purchase anything ahead of time. I purchased a nail manicure online 2 months ago and havent been able to make an appointment. Because they get paid less money they wont make an appointment for the weekend, it has to be a day of the week.

There was some confusion about the cost/price of services. I had a pedicure which would have been better if the young lady was not rushing to leave. Not her fault, someone else should have provided my services

Great place to get your beauty needs done

I have been going to Spalon for all of my manis, pedis, eyelash extensions, and even massages. Its a wonderful and warm atmosphere, and you will feel relaxed and comfortable. Whether you are getting a haircut or any of the above services you will be happy. They have always been reasonably priced, and best of all, you are treated like family. Did I mention that you can even have a glass of wine with your services? I have sent many of my friends there, and they are now loyal customers. Awesome place, truly!

This place has gone downhill from when I joined the loyalty club a few years ago. The manager/owner (not sure) has always been helpful to me. He always helped me get the appointment I wanted with the person I requested. Now that the website and email address have changed I cannot get an answer to a single email. I emailed over a week ago and still have not received a reply. I called in the meantime and made an appointment. Now Im sitting, waiting 15 mins past my appointment time and my massage therapist isnt even in the building yet. When I made this appointment they asked if I was a club member. Today the girl tells me Im in the computer as a new client. I will not be renewing my membership when the time comes.

This place is pricey but they usually have groupons and they have everything here: a nail salon, hair salon, and massage studio. Its a one stop shop for pampering and relaxing.

Boyfriend Had a Massage and I had Permanent Make up Done!Boyfriends first massage ever... he loved it. I think he had Shelly Moss (sorry of name was spelled wrong) I had my permanent make up done by Amy, This was my 2nd visit for more/added services of the permanent makeup and so far I am loving the results. Amy is very talented and she is very good with people who are squeamish about having tattooing done near their eyes. I would highly recommend anyone who wants permanent makeup done to seek out Amys services at Spalon. I cant wait to go back and have touch up done and add more services!!

Ive been twice. Once for a pedicure that was good although they mixed up the polish that was on the table and gave me a darker shade of red (kinda liked it anyway). The 2nd time I needed a full for my gel nails. I went to several salons over 2 month period to get the right thickness. Everywhere I went they were so thick looking and unnatural. I dont particularly like color and always get An American manicure. But the last few times when I went elsewhere I ended up getting color because they left air pockets or white areas under the gel and it looked tacky to wear them natural. NOT ANYMORE! I met Polly at SPALON and she is awesome! My nails are perfect, nice and thin and even! So happy that I found her. Highly recommended if you are picky like me!Thanks Polly see you again soon!!!

The salon is adorable, all of the staff is friendly, AND THERE IS COMPLIMENTARY WINE! Vince did an amazing job on my mani pedi, and Im going to come back for a massage! Chirelle is awesome and answered all of my questions about their club membership! Its an hour drive for me. but Ill still be coming here as much as I can!

I am a very pleased customer!!! Amy is their permanent makeup artist, she is very great at what she does. I got my brows done... I am a very picky person. Amy took her time with me talked me through every step. I usually fill my own brows in and I thought no one could master my same look, but Amy went above and beyond to make sure I was pleased. WORST nail place I’ve ever been to. Women working there were rude and messed up my nails 3 times, and my friend who came along, twice. When we asked for them to fix them, they gave us an attitude. Still paid $50 for something I could’ve done at my house and probably better. For sure do not go here. It was my friend’s first experience at any mani-pedi and it ruined it for her.

I had a mani/pedi while my daughter was getting a facial and massage. I liked the woman who did my nails. She was sweet and knew what she was doing. My daughter said the massage therapist was very good but her facialist was non-stop talking and berating my daughter. I was treating my daughter before her wedding to these services. The woman doing her facial asked her questions and then began to lecture her about getting married too young and that she was wasting her time so young. Seriously? When you are in the service business, just be quiet and let people enjoy their time. If they want to talk to you let them, if not, use discretion in the chatter! Your opinion is not necessarily. Very disappointed.

My wife gave me a groupon for a massage. I called to schedule my appointment and told them of the groupon. They asked if I had been there before, which I replied that I thought I might have been there 2 or 3 years ago. They told my I couldnt use the groupon because they are a chain and that its for first time customers only. I told them the groupon clearly states Not valid for clients active within the last 12 months, and says nothing about having been there before.I was put on hold and then told they me that they understand innocent mistakes happen, especially with gifts, but I could pay the difference or get a refund from groupon and those were my only options. They never bothered to see if I had actually been there before.

I have been going to Spalon for the past few months & each time I get my nails filled the charge is always different for the same type of work!The women(both names Heather) working the front desk are rude & unprofessional! They talked about their customers in front of their other customers & workers. They dont value their guest & the money their guest spend in the salon. They arent welcoming at all.However, the man that either owns the salon or is a manager is always welcoming & friendly. Hell offer you something to drink & thank you when you leave!I loved my nails techs work(even though I feel like Ive been overcharged many times) but I will not be spending anymore money in that salon!

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little nervous about going, but so glad I gave it a try! Called this morning and got an appointment for a massage, wax and mani/pedi at noon same day. They did not try to upsale anything when I got there, took me for a brief tour and made sure I was comfortable while I waited for my massage therapist. Sherlly was simply amazing!!! Professional, friendly and had the hands of an angel. Was given some water and escorted to have my mani/pedi and wax by Amy. Again, professional, helpful and easy to talk with. She even offered me a glass of wine to celebrate my birthday. I dont live in the area, but will recommend to my family & friends here. The only thing I did see that I thought was not cool was one of the hair stylist was putting on deodorant at her station. Ewww! But that one rotten apple didnt spoil my experience today.

New customer today because of Groupon. I had a mani pedi with Vince and he gave the best foot message I have ever had. I will be a repeat customer and want to try the dipped nails.I was also pleasantly surprised to find my favorite nail technician Jasmine who I havent seen since she left on maternity leave at my old salon.

The young man that did my mani and pedi did not seem thrilled about his job. He was short and seemed to have an attitude problem the whole time I was there. He gave me the WORST pedicure that I have ever had. He barely even sanded my feet! The manicure was the worst though. He filed my nails so far in from the corners and so unevenly, that 2 weeks later, I am still working on fixing them as they grow back out. I had a really horrible experience there. I wont ever be going back.

Let me be completely frank about their service. They are good but they are not perfect. I started out with knowing about their service because my mother gave me a certificate that she purchased from Groupon. They do appear to be snobbish when they find out that you are using Groupon and immediately begin the upselling process. As a person that know how introductory offers work, I was not turned off by that. But if I was their public relations specialist, I would tell them to still WOW the groupon customers and win their business instead of the pressure to sell the club membership. Their quality services truly sell their selves. They just have to make that first visit unforgettable. That is what Taylor the massage therapist did for me. I have tried other massage therapists and none are as good as she is. I have been in a few car accidents and her treatment is the only things that causes my muscles not to spasm and get knotted. I did try their haircutting. I am an African American (Black) and I was not impressed. But in all fairness, I believe they were a little afraid that I wouldnt like it. The haircut was acceptable. I have also recieved a manicure and pedicure for my wedding. They were also just acceptable. I will stick to Color Nails uptown for my pedicure and continue to go to Lee Nails in the Target shopping area for my nails. Overall, it is a good salon with some pretty amazing services that truly do sell their selves and the club membership is worth the price especially if you get deep tissue massages. The area that they desperately need to improve on is their customer service and their execution of sales. They need to hire a sales professional that knows how to close the deal without turning off their clients and the owner does not have that mastered. They also need someone that is specifically designation for the customer satisfaction. If they incorporate these two positions, this place would grow so large, they will need a bigger facility to hold all of their clients because the services sell their selves.

I was gifted a Groupon which I redeemed here. It was for a one hour massage. The massage was ended short. After the massage you are then just thrown a sales pitch about buying into their membership club. They show a sheet of inflated prices of the services and say you get a discounted rate. If youre trying to sell me something, you should fulfill the time as promised. You cant really cut the time by 20% and expect me to give you more money on an initial visit. I also left there uncomfortably oily.

WORST SERVICE! That one star rating was just so I could post my experience but if I could Id give them negative stars. I found them through Groupon advertising facials for $39. I go there to make a surprise appointment for my mom for Mothers day and he says the anti aging facial is extra and so we worked out an agreement that I could pay $69 the club membership rate after he tried selling me a club membership ($129) which was nice BUT still not what I wanted to spend. So I take my mom in to get her the surprise facial and kiss her good bye and to relax and enjoy it. I get a call from the front desk about 30 mins later of the guy telling me that my mom will not let them do the facial. So I go back to pick my mom up and the reasoning she couldnt do the facial is because of her back, she couldnt get comfortable. The guy would not refund the money or let us even reschedule or even get another service done! She waited in the back waiting room for some time till she was called in but even the woman doing her facial was running 20 minutes behind. The attitude of these people was poor! The guy told us you can leave now when leaving, my mom turned around and said what you should have said is Happy Mothers Day! unbelievable and unprofessional. I should have read the reviews beforehand. Thunbs down to spalon!

Ok. The only mentionable feature of this place: if u need a massage that day youll get it here. Why Im compelled to write a review. The owner acts like a pimp n wants u to tip HIM instead of the massager. or as he puts it. Tip @ front desk. That is despicable, unprofessional, n made me angry/feeling dirty. He.s also had plenty of poor reviews, but seeing as how Im the first review, somehow gets them taken down. I will leave on a better note, the owner seems to give anyone n everyone a chance/job, so its really good place for someone to learn the skills without proper paperwork, as it Always is busy.

Went to Spalon with a friend for girls day out, found them through Groupon. Had pedi, mani, facials and had an excellent time. Vince did my mani/pedi and was very helpful and courteous. Julie did the European facials and both of us upgraded to add on the microdermabrassion facials as well. Were both very happy we did. Left with our nails and faces glowing and beautiful and feeling very relaxed and rejuvenated.Thank you to all of the friendly and helpful staff at Spalon Spa, we will definitely be back in the near future.

Do NOT get permanent makeup here! This is NOT a spa, it is a NAIL SALON. I saw a deal on Groupon, it was $79 dollars for permanent eyeliner- a $250 value. Two years ago, I had my eyebrows filled in, and my eyeliner done. I needed a touch up, so called ahead and asked if instead of the full eyeliner, could I get the touch up. The gentleman on the phone said, “Sure, that’s easy. The Groupon is worth $250.”When I walked in, it was very clearly a nail salon. It had a sign that said, “Now Offering Permanent Makeup.” The woman took me to their eyebrow waxing room (that was dirty, and the towels were stained/dirty), and asked me what I was looking for, I told her I was looking to have my eyebrows and eyeliner touched up.I explained that I talked to the gentleman and he said the value was worth $250. She said, “No, I can’t do that. Too expensive.” I explained to her that my original salon was going to charge me $120 for the touch up, therefore the $250 value should cover it. Then SHE offered to do it for $120. I told her I’d just do the eyeliner. I explained to her the shape I wanted, and she said she couldn’t do it. I brought in a picture, and showed her on the picture the shape of the eyeliner I wanted. She said she couldn’t do it. I asked her if she could just follow the line of the tattoo that was already there. She said she couldn’t do it. I’m not sure if she didn’t understand me, a(nd I can’t speak Vietnamese) or if she was angry that I didn’t want to pay the extra money.I originally had my permanent make up done 2 years ago. It was full eyeliner, and full eyebrows for $300. Therefore, they are just inflating the “value” price to make it seem like it was a good deal. It was in an Esthetician’s Office, not a nail salon. They gave me the shape of the eyeliner, and eyebrow I wanted. The tattooing was done by a Licensed Practical Nurse, who has been Certified in Permanent Cosmetics for 15 years. She has been a Licensed Esthetician for 12 years. She has been certified in Microdermabrasion, Medical Microdermabraisan, and IPL for 9 years.Please tell me why I would drive from Lancaster to Harrisburg, to have a nail tech do the same job (actually NOT the same job… since she said she couldn’t do it) that a VERY well qualified facility, that I had previously been happy with, come at my eye with a needle. Easy. They severely misrepresented themselves.

I have been to Spalon with a friend while visiting Harrisburg. By far the worst salon experience we ever had. When I called to make an appointment, the lady right out told me that she cannot accommodate us as we were going to use a Groupon. But after some convincing she let one of us in for a mani and pedi. The lady literally finished the pedi in 15 mins, no filing, no dead skin removal, nothing. At the end when we went to the counter to check out, we had the Groupon and a card out (for tips and just in case). The lady actually checked the nails to make sure we were not lying about the services we got, and questioned us why we had the credit card out if we dint have to pay anything. She was implying and checking to make sure we werent lying. We are never going back here. Worst and super snobbish people.

Ive gone on 2 occasions. Groupon for the couples massage was nice but they did really push us to join their club to get member prices and my left glute (butt muscle) hurt for several days. Second visit, mani/pedi. I picked my colors and my lady INSISTED my colors were wrong for me no matter how much I insisted, I gave up fighting her. Was told I was getting special deal by guy at desk. Not so at all and you have to take cash out of their fee charging atm to tip. Wont be returning.
