I cannot speak more highly of Matt and his team at Carolina Refinishers. After the previous owners damaged the tub in our bathroom, Matt could not have been more gracious in redo-ing the work he had previously done free of charge to us. He was professional, and went the extra mile to make sure that his work was done and kept in good condition. I cant recommend him and his work enough--truly honorable and honest service. We will use him for all of our bathroom work from now on!

Honesty: 1 StarProfessionalism: 1.5 StarQuality: 2 StarsOverall Value: 1.5 Stars...I should have known the company I was about deal with when their “shop” is 6’x12’ storage unit behind a gas station. When I dropped off our tub, he and his team quickly flipped it over then stated it was too late to remove the drain, since they’re “too difficult to flip over again.” So instead Matt said he’d “throw in a drain kit for free” so they wouldn’t have to flip the tub again. Not what I wanted done (prefer drain be removed and painted correctly) but agreed. He then took an additional week to complete the project. Upon pickup of the tub, I noticed they didn’t tape-off/cover the outside when they painted the inside, which then caused an overspray of the white enamel paint all over the recently refinished exterior, so we’ll have to redo that ourselves. Unacceptable. However, I was understanding and understood that I’ll have to fix their “professional” mistake. Then they claimed they didn’t have the drain kit in stock and I would have to it up later... a week late and still not what was agreed upon. Quality: 1.5 starWe then followed up a couple weeks later to pickup the drain kit. We scheduled a meeting location and Matt never contacted us for the location and time. Even though we were waiting in the area for his call that never came, he wouldn’t meet us later that day for the drop-off because he “didn’t want to deal with traffic.” Professionalism: 1 starWe then rescheduled a meeting and my wife went by herself. During the pickup, Matt tried to charge us for the drain kit which was AGREED to be thrown in “for free”. Not only did he go back on his word, he was demeaning and condescending to my wife. She called me upset and confused thinking that she was supposed to pay for the kit. Honesty:1 star.Buyer beware!! Steer clear of this unprofessional and low bar company.

I am the Maintenance Supervisor for a community in Charleston, SC. I have relied on Charleston Refinishers several times to repair tubs that have cracked and began leaking into apartments below them. They are always on time and do a phenomenal job. They have saved our property a lot of money from having to replace the entire tub when other companies said they couldnt be fixed.
