Their fans dont work. I got the 140 CFM wall-mount fan for a very small bathroom and the walls are dripping with water with it on full blast. Called their customer service line and was told - sorry, we can let you talk to a technician, but we cant take it back. What is talking to a technician going to do?? Terrible customer service and way to stand behind their product.
Much needed tech support (because of inadequate/misleading instructions) is non-existent.
I have having problems with my new Aero Pure AP120-SL humidity controlled fan and I am also having problems getting support. It looks great, it just doesnt work as advertised. Im asking the company for troubleshooting tips or a replacement.
As a licensed electrician I have very strong opinions on electrical safety. There is one MASSIVE shortcoming in the National Electrical Code that allows backstabbing into switches and receptacles. It’s a common retort among electricians when someone says, “That’s not code.” to respond, “Yeah but backstabbing is so why does it matter?” I have personally been on 3 different projects where house fires were caused by backstabbed receptacles/switches. Over time the heat cycling from all of the current passing through the tiny spring metal tab weakens the connection and the plastic that holds the switch or receptacle together. I have done two whole house redevices this year alone because of receptacles front plastic plates literally falling off from the thermal cycling. This is something that I have not seen in 22 years when a mechanical connection was made to the screw with a shepherd’s hook.Today I was asked to install a Aero Pure A716R for one of those whole house redevice customers I previously mentioned. After running the wires I went to the switch box to start making my connections and low and behold it is a backstab ONLY stacked switch!!! An 1160w, 120v backstab switch for a $289 retail fan!? After calling the the company and eventually reaching a technical support person I was informed that I don’t have to use the provided switches and now I am now sourcing the new stacked switches.Based on my experience this is an unacceptable switch. The fact that it comes in a premium priced device is that much more offensive. In my opinion no one should install these units with the supplied switches. It’s dangerous and unnecessary. After installation:I would like to add that the terminal blocks used to make the main connections for the device are the same extremely low quality plastic body with low carbon steel hardware that I have removed from extremely cheap Amazon LED lighting. Typically these connections are used with 18 gauge or below low thermal protection wiring. One of the sets was impossible to loosen and I wound up having to replace a portion of the terminal block. Wiring this thing was a huge pain in the butt and I wound up mounting a junction box to the side of the device to make the power and switch leg taps.
