While driving to work today my car experienced some mechanical issues. I recalled one of my customers ( work at a rental store ) owned a car repair place. I immediately phoned her of my issue. I was able to drop my car off and it was diagnosed with an hour and fixed within 3. Patricia Hawk has an amazing staff and they managed to get me right back on the road !

Honest and friendly people. Their waiting area was clean, and I was able to do my work while I waited. The mechanic and lady at the front desk let me know everything up front and allowed me to make an informed decision. Id highly recommend this place!

Excellent customer service and quick fix to my car. I called them in a Friday to bring it in to diagnose and by Tuesday morning I was picking it back up. When other places needed an appointment for a diagnoses I was able to bring it right in.

Prior to bringing my vehicle in, I called to find out how much it would cost for a diagnostic and the length of time a diagnostic would take. I was told that a diagnostic takes about an hour and that the cost would depend on the problem, but would cost no more than $132. So, I took my vehicle in the same day. The diagnostic was not a check engine light diagnostic because the check engine light was not on. I was hearing some type of unusual noise and was hoping to find out the problem. Some time after arriving, the technician got in my vehicle and drove it down the street and back. I ended up being at the shop for over 2 hours. On top of that, one of the office staff comes to me afterwards and says that the technician recommends starter be removed for further diagnostic and that would cost an additional $260. Are you kidding me. So, needless to say, I ended up paying $142 and got NO ANSWERS AT ALL. I wasted $142.08 to be exact. Yes, I paid an additional $10 and was told that was for taxes, but my receipt reads job supplies. Taxes @ 6% should have been $7.94 but receipt shows $.56. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. The deception, poor results, and waste of time and money was highway robbery. This type of service is the reason why I do not trust auto shops. They will squeeze every bit of money out of you they can. I had never gone to this place before and have NO intentions of returning. Do I recommend this place, ABSOLUTELY NOT. GO ELSEWHERE!!!

Nice honest people. After receiving advice to get new brakes installed. This shop told me I didnt need them just yet. Also they overcharged me and before walking out the door they called me back in to refund me some. I will stick with this shop for future repairs.

Absolutely the best car repair experience Ive had. When you take your car to a repair shop, you never know what you are going to get. Most places try and get over on you wherever they can! Be that by over charging you for parts and labor or telling you theres more to repair then needed! This place was honest and fairly priced and over all a pleasant experience!

This is the worst experience i have ever had with a car place ever. They didnt do half of the things they said they did to my car. I was over charged to the fullest degree. Everyone had a bad attitude. They passed my state inspection without my windshield wipers working and when i told them them they tried to charge me 400 more dollars and said they guess they missed it and asked if i want it fixed or not. The parts for all my work only cost 250 but yet i was charged 1300 in cash only. A lot of labor pay for some lazy people. All in all i would never go here or let anyone you know go here.

I was looking online for a place near me that would take appointments for a wheel alignment. When I set up the appointment request it was late and I was looking to get it done in 2 weeks when I am off. They called me back on Sunday morning, I was unaware they would be open on Sunday and told me they could get me in immediately and I took them up on it. Won and his crew are professional and friendly and I was very impressed with their service. Highly recommended and I will use their shop again!

While my family lives in Hampton, I do not, so when my car started vibrating really aggressively on my ride from SW Virginia to Tidewater, I didnt have a mechanic I trusted in the Tidewater area, but knew I needed this fixed before I got back on the road. I googled places, and based on the positive reviews, chose Hampton Roads Car Care. I dropped my car off around 10am on a Saturday (they close at 3pm) and they told me I would have a diagnosis within the hour. About 30 minutes later I got a call, they said they knew what was wrong, had the part, and gave me the price it would be to fix it. The price seemed fair to me, and within the hour they had my car fixed. They kept the old part to show me what they did and how my part had deteriorated. They were clear in their speech, billing, and diagnosis. I had a completely smooth drive all the way back to SW Virginia. Thank you, HRCC, for professional and prompt service that did the trick!

So Friday afternoon I get a report from AAMCO that I likely have an issue with my front wheel bearings, but they dont have the tools to do the job (!) - I need to go to Gloucester on Saturday and Im worried about driving with this problem. I hit up Google to search for other places and see Hampton Roads Car Care has some stellar reviews... I ring them up and explain the situation, the lady on the phone checks with the boss...and says if I can get there RIGHT NOW he can do it. Its 4:15, they close at 6. I zip over to find a clean place with nice waiting area, they check it out - turns out its the REAR wheel bearing assembly. Zip-zip, its fixed and I am paying my bill - LESS than I was expecting, like, by a lot - at 6:05, and Im a happy camper. This place is a gem.
