Bishops has been great in the past and recently. The stylists there are very friendly and receptive to your wants and needs. I have seen two different people the last two times I have gone and they did a wonderful job cutting my hair.In the past I had a huge fiasco with a box dye literally melting on my head and fusing the hair together. I had gone in as a walk in and they did an amazing job at fixing the issue and cutting my hair so that I didnt have to buzz my entire head.It is also very easy to schedule an appointment on their website.I would definitely recommend this place for mens and womens cuts.

Wow! What a great crew. Ive had my hair cut at Gresham Station 5 times so far. My last three times were with Baylee. She and her coworkers are professional and experienced. Ive seen a variety of hair cut while Ive been there and Im impressed.I always walk out of Bishops happy with my results and a bounce in my step.

My mom made my appointment for a cut and color. She tried to confirm that it was Cut And Color 3 times. No one answered the phone and no emails returned. On the day of the appointment I was not allotted the time for color. They made no apologies. Wont ever go here again!

The hairstylists are fantastic, and Ive always been super happy with the results. Great people, great company, and definitely great work. The atmosphere is also very warm and inviting.

I went in like most after not getting a haircut through most of covid and hadnt decided on a style, and they found one that worked well with my hair and they sell you things you dont need, went to go buy a product and my hairdresser let me know that with how find my hair is, that itd be like putting glue in. Im always thankful for helpful advice and service, so thank you everyone at Bishop.

Really nice and relaxed the barbers are attentive and helpful I dont know my stylists name but she did an amazing job im very satisfied with how my hair looks and I dont usually like getting my hair cut at all she was cute too

This place is terrible. I went to go get a hair pricing quote and talk about getting color done. I stood outside for 20 minutes and WHILE PEOPLE WERE INSIDE LOOKING DIRECTLY AT ME. and completely ignored me like I was nothing. While they laughed. My first and VERY LAST visit to this absolutely garbage place.

Melissa did a great job on my hair HOWEVER... when i walked up at 4:10 for my 4:15 appt the door is locked w a printed sign to messgae them once ur there (ok... fine, but i wish there were a heads up about this since it was 115°f outside!) Anyway... the employee smoking outside asked if i had an appt and my name then went inside and locked the door behind her... few mins later hands me a clipbord to initial, then locks the door again... IM OUTSIDE... then takes the clipboard... STILL, IM OUTSIDE... then i get a message on my phone from melissa saying i can come in... and u know what THEY HAD SEATING INSIDE... i could have been waiting on the bench inside the door in the AC instead of sweating to death and being treated like i was worthless outside... i would have left (as i wasnt allowe inside until 4:20) but they would have charged my card ... fun fun fun .... even tho melissa who cut my hair (not the jerk employee who kept closing the door in my face) was super nice - i wont be going back.

Ive been coming to bishops for 4 years now. I scheduled an appointment to get a haircut and today I was texted a confirmation for the appointment. After confiring, I received a other text saying that the till was running out of cash and to bring cash. I told them I do not use cash. The number then texted me saying to just use an ATM. It was totally inappropriate to tell me to bring cash.Upon arriving to my appointment 10 minutes early, I received yet another text asking If Id like to cancel or reschedule my appointment. I thought to myself, why? Im not even late.It was because I told them I wouldnt bring cash.Upon getting inside, I was greeted with a very unpleasant attitude and did not feel welcome.Luckily, the hairstylist I got was very good at her job and did a great jobIf it wasnt for the skill the employees have, I wouldnt be coming back

Bishops is a good place to go to support that person that just got out of hair school. They dont do a bad job and you can have a beer or two. I have a 5 Starr barber now but low cost and the kids there make you feel right at home.

Just got a cut from Abby! I have never been into this location but it was nice and clean and the AC felt so nice! Abby was super cool and professional and gave me one of my favorite cuts OF MY LIFE!! She was very sweet and knowledgeable and most definitely knows what she’s doing!! Sooooo glad I got to meet her and grateful for her service :) thanks a million! Highly recommend!!! I may have to continue to come to her every time!Also to anyone nervous about going in during the pandemic you can tell they are absolutely following state guidelines to a T. I felt very safe.

Use to only go to Bishops before. Always had super friendly service. But since covid and the new way to sign in online I havent gone in. Whenever I try to sign into account it just keeps spinning. When I call the associate just tells me to book the appointment online. Ive tried with my phone and laptop no luck. Tried one last time to call to make an appointment and they hung up on me. Never going again until you get a better online site.

It makes me sad to have to make this review... I left Bishops in Gresham Oregon to never return to another because the manager refused to come up with a solution that works for my 3 year old son to get a haircut. As a sole parent, it is impossible to not have my 2 young children with me always (doctor appointment, grocery store...etc.) and it is not feasible to leave one by themselves either. I appreciate COVID policies but an easy solution could have been created to assist me in my unique situation. But unfortunately no ideas or care to assist me was ever offered, other than leaving my 3 year old son alone with a stranger (not to mention leave the stylist without direction of my needs). NO state rules would not have been breached even with all employees and clients still in the location. We are all trying to maneuver and survive these challenging times, some compassion and flexibility is needed and this was not even considered at Bishops—I will not return!

Super happy with my haircut I received! I love my hair!! I chopped all my hair off (it was down to my but) and got a long shaggy Bob styled hair cut. Only 4 stars because the hair dresser couldnt braid my hair like I wanted.

I have lived in the Portland metro area for seven years, but have only been coming to this location for about four months - shame on me! This place is awesome! I love the vibe. All of the staff are always very welcoming and attentive. By far my favorite place to get a haircut in the entire metro area.Melissa has been cutting my hair for the majority of the time I have been coming to this location, and I can truly say I never leave disappointed. You can tell she is very passionate about her profession. Melissa is highly proficient, knowledgeable, and always very friendly. Every time I go in I know that Im walking out with a great haircut. I use to get a haircut wherever the most convenient place was for me at the time. I now refuse to go anywhere but here. Melissa does an amazing job! I highly recommend her.

Josie knew what I wanted better than I did! I thought maybe a bit shorter in back, but then I couldnt put it up - which she had heard was my priority because she listened 👏👏Im 100% happy with my cut (and really glad we didnt go any shorter).Plus, I know that waiting time is just the luck of the draw, but I was seen almost immediately on a Saturday, which was also cool.

Lauren is awesome!!! Top notch !!! Only reason they got 4 stars as a whole is because they have falsely put up short wait times. Its kind of a bummer when your drive 30+ minutes thinking your sneaking right in and your actually waiting an hour.

I have been going to the Gresham Bishops for several years because Josie knows my hair and what I want and I trust her. Everyone is nice and I like the vib.

I come here regularly to get my hair cut. Always friendly and timely. On a few occasions they have saved me from hair disasters. I will likely keep coming here until the heat death of the universe or I move away.

Their (Bishops in general) check-in on line procedure is a failure. Dont expect to get in when it says your appointment time is. Nice staff though. Cool atmosphere.

Ive been here twice now and have seen two different stylists for two great cuts. Chill vibe and great talent- plus beer. Prices are a little higher than some other shops but you get what you pay for and its worth every penny.

Ive been going to Holly at this location for at least a couple years now, and have never once been disappointed. I get compliments on my hair quite often actually, and people wanting to know where I go. Everyone who works there is also friendly and welcoming.

I love this place! My two kiddos turned me on to it a year or so ago and Ill keep using them for my hair care needs.Very helpful, very knowledgeable, very personable staff and always made sure to consult with me if they had any questions. No high pressure sales pitch to sell their specialty items, which is always a plus in my book!

I had cut and dyed my hair myself. Needed major help. The ladies were very professional and helpful. Only waited 5 minutes before getting in the chair. Carmen worked magic on my hair! The price is posted right on the walls and ceiling. I did ask before she started and paid exactly as expected.This place has an upbeat feel about it. I was treated well even though I came in looking horrific. I will be returning for my next appointment.

I cant believe that hair cuts for kids are $29 but nobody really knows what the costs are until they are finished. Not much better that great clips. Anyone who says this place has reasonable prices needs to look around for a new barber shop. BTW staff have no personally when engaging with clients. Will never go there again.

The only place I get my haircut! I’ve been coming here for several years. Great service at a good price. Great products too. Big fan of the shampoos, pomade and the beard oils they carry. This Bishops is in a great location for me and the waits aren’t usually very long. Josie and Loren are the greatest but all the employees there are very friendly and attentive while people are waiting with friendly chit chat and checking to see if you would want a beer while waiting.

Color by Lauren - seriously great work and good advice on color choices. I wasnt too sure about going for some ruby highlights, but I wanted some flair. She helped me select color, and showed me pictures of work she had done previously, and was careful to make sure we had the same vision in mind. It turned out better than I expected and looks great! Lauren is good company, too. Nice gal, which matters a lot if youre spending 3 hours in someones chair. [Side note: for cuts I have always seen Josie, and it always turns out great.]

This place was poppin’ so the long wait was anticipated. Great cut (lil steep for a trim on short hair) but they crushed it! I’m giving it 2 stars however because I wanted my beard trimmed as well because I was performing a wedding that afternoon and she cut about half of my mustache off on one side and didn’t say a word... I had to shave my beard when I got home because it looked terrible I was beyond mad. I’m not gunna name names but I definitely won’t ever have them do anything other than a haircut again

I have been here before, and I always find the staff to be great, but I went in yesterday on a whim, just wanting a change after making my way through some significant challenges, with a free haircut, b/c I had an old cardAnd I Just want to offer gratitude, b/c that young woman gave me the best haircut I have ever had. Taking off maybe 12 inches, I was kind of freaked out, but I LOVE the outcome.Wish I knew her name b/c I dont ever want anyone else to ever cut my hair again, but Ill have to get it cut to keep it looking this good!This girl is gonna have an amazing career, get there while you can!

Tried to explain what I wanted, got a lil attitude, my hair was cut wrongly, and when I got my hair reversed they said, it was natural, and wouldnt fry my hair. My hair was very, very damaged, and consistantly falling out in clumps. Im not dying my hair again, especially here.

After looking all over the area at reviews at other barbers this was the one I decided to go to. The inside was awesome to me, the girls where super nice and got started on me right away. Loved that she didnt just cut my hair and say ok there done, she asked if I liked it, asked if I wanted to change anything specific, and I walked out with exactly what I was wanting. I had long hair and a beard, wanting a specific cut I had looked up, and a beard trim (Was scared of shops messing it up) and it was awesome. Happy happy happy, will be returning for sure my new place to go!

I made the mistake of trying to give myself an undercut after watching some tutorials. After sulking in the bathtub for an hour, wondering who could fix this mess on a Sunday evening... The fine and talented folks at Bishops saved my head and were very kind about it. (I was complemented on the evenness of my shave, regardless of how wonky the hairline was!) Ive been back twice since, and my stylist always remembers me and that fateful Sunday evening. Super grateful for Bishops convenient hours and talented staff!!

Holly is my favorite stylist here! She is excellent at getting my dark hair to a gorgeous platinum. She does a good job thinning out my mop thick hair and her cuts are always on point.

Go to Corrina Hutt, shes very good with cuts and colors. I always walk out with the exact cut and color I want and my hair feels amazing. I have super thick, processed hair and she always know how to cut it, tame it and give it a good style. Shes very proficient and knows what shes doing.

I went to Bishops at Gresham Station to get my hair trimmed and kinda restyled. I had my month old daughter with me and of course as soon as my stylist starts cutting my hair my daughter started to fuss. My stylist was so accommodating though, she didnt make me feel bad or rushed and worked around the situation. If she was feeling negative I couldnt tell, she was so kind the entire time. At the end of it I got a perfect haircut and will defintley be going back to the same stylist, who I would totally name but cant remember at the moment.

I started coming to bishops routinely at the beginning of last summer. I wanted to grow out my pixie cut, and I got a stylist named Mackenna. Sweetest girl on the planet! She gave me her professional opinion on what we should do, and to do this day, months later, I go back and wait for her chair to open up. She made me feel safe and that I could trust her being in the chair. I almost dont wanna recommend her, cause shes so good!😂

Just got a haircut from Baylee, asked for something sorta complicated (low fade undercut with a v shape, asymmetrical on top from temple to chin) and she gave me the best haircut i think ive ever gotten. Exactly what i asked for. I highly recommend her and this shop in general!

I always see Abbie, who is fantastic with curly hair and colors, and Im always very happy with the results. Most complaints on here seem to about the price, so if you just want a $10 haircut, go to Great Clips. If you want knowledgeable and friendly professionals, a relaxed environment, and free beer, go to Bishops.

This place gives great cuts. With longer Fine hair it can really be challenging to find a stylist that knows the right techniques to make it look good and not super flat. Highly recommend !

Bishops is generally good at what they do. Their price points, however, are all over the place. I was charged $15 for a very complicated haircut one time, and $29 for a very simple haircut the next time. Due to the wildly fluctuating prices I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Any shop set up like this runs the risk of major inconsistency. You have been warned. Ive been very lucky. I had the same stylist for both my cut and color of the last couple of weeks. Where I thought I would be rushed over I wasnt at all. One of the best haircuts Ive ever had and the best color. Ill be back. You cant beat the walk in only policy. Once I waited 20 minutes and the second time no wait at all. So much better than putting up with the girly girl appointments out to the next month/not taking new clients bullshit of salons.Seems a little out of place at Gresham Station but that is to my benefit as Im annoyed anytime I travel to closer in/hipster areas. Parking is great here and it is on the frequent service 4 bus line.

The first lady was doing a good job, until the manager came over and cut way too much hair off.Asked for a refund, and was flatly told no. This place isnt worthy of your money, people.If something goes wrong, they will not help you - and poor service never deserves your money.

I rarely leave reviews, i find it unfortunate that unsettled customers are usually more inclined to leave a review.This past weekend I had the best experience that i can remember in a very long time, thanks to my Hair stylist Breanne (spelling?)She took her time to ask questions as to what look i was going for before she started snipping. Im not sure how much time passed by the time the haircut was done because the conversation was so interesting. Without any of the usual small-talk i felt as if this person whom id just met was an old friend who i hadnt seen in years.I highly recommend this barbershop to anyone, i hope people whove had lesser experiences than myself give this place a second try.
