First I want to say I was desperate and the kindness of Johns affordable and last minute my dad called and they were able to get me in and they knew right what to do my car is my livelihood right now and it a huge stress relief to know there are still REALLY GREAT mechanics out here esp these guys ....I cant say Thank You enough

Great quality mechanical service & John is a nice awesome & honest guy he knows his stuff. He has worked on my vehicle more than once, and honestly the only mechanic I can trust. He keeps me informed of what the problem is w/ my Pontiac, and he is honest, and never have tried to rip me off he does good outstanding business. He keeps me & my children safe, and cruising on the road I’ve been 100% happy with service. Everytime I have a mechanical problem I know who to call& I’m glad I’ve been a satisfied customer since day one folks.

John is the truth! I was on a trip in a rental van with my friend when the “service engine soon” light came on. Whereas I usually take most mechanics’ information with a *large* grain of salt, John was very transparent and honest with us about the problem. I would definitely trust him with my personal vehicle if I lived in Portland!

This is a bit late, but I went to John about a month ago because my car was making a grinding noise on occasion when I would go to start it. Had a feeling it was the starter but was also told it could be something else more serious. I dropped my car off and within 20 minutes he had my issue diagnosed. I grabbed some lunch and went home to eat and by the time I was done eating he called and said its all ready to go. So great, quick service, great price. About 50$ less than what I was quoted at another place. I have been wanting to find my mechanic/ shop, my go to and now I have.

This is hands down the best place to take your truck or car.Johnny knows what he’s doing, he’s straight up about what it’s going to cost & has always told me what else I’ll need to have done- soon to a couple of years from now.I have had repairs & pre-purchase evaluations done here. Always straight forward and accurate.

Johns Affordable auto repair is awesome. They have amazing customer service and take pride in theyre work. I had motors mounts fixed on my husband and Is mustang and they were awesome great communication about what was going on with the car and made sure everything was good before I paid them and left. I will definitely be coming back to them when I need more auto repairs. Definitely recommend them.

IMHO it’s hard to find auto repair I can trust. It was like I found a four-leaf clover with John’s place! He went the extra mile, thoroughly resolved my problem, and the charges for the labor & parts were very fair.

Excellent and honest service

I was looking for an honest affordable mechanic to take care of my 7 vehicles about 4 years ago. He was a referral, and I couldnt ask for a better mechanic. If I have an issue at 5PM on a Friday afternoon, I can call him and he is on it. So far, their isnt anything he and his son, Trent, cannot fix.

He is a good mechanic. However I am his neighbor. Previous review is correct. He beat up his neighbor with cancer. Dont spend your money on him. Also half of theses reviews are from his wifes friends from AA. I one this because I know them.
