Weve tried for awhile to find a place that could cut my sons hair the way he wanted it. My son is blessed with a ridiculous hairline, like almost down to his eyebrows. However, for the cut he likes, that means needing his neck and part of his forehead shaved. So many places mess this part up and dont do the boxing on the forehead right or get far enough down his neck. Not here! They did a phenomenal job and his hair looks great!!! Only $15 for a kids cut too, so extremely affordable! I dont remember the name of the women who helped us, but her station/chair is the last one on the right, if you have your back to the front door. Honestly though, I was able to see the others doing cuts as well and they all do great work! Its a bonus that the owner has stated in response to a previous review, that the staff is vaccinated!

Ive been coming here with my son for 4 years now. Due to the sporadic hours lately we are making a change. After the 3rd time showing up a 345pm and being turned away or given a closed notice our hand was forced. We love the staff and they do a great job but I have a job and my son has school daycare. We need reliability. I was ok with the long wait times because of our familiarity with the staff and the quality of work. However, due to the recent change in hours Im not sure how any working individual could get a cut here. Theres no way I could ever bring my son during school year. I cant see how this hours change is a good business decision but I guess they are doing fine. I hate that I wont be able to bring my son here anymore as it was kinda a father/son thing. I guess we will move that tradition to somewhere else.BR,Jon

My husband has been going here since the 1st day they opened. He really likes the haircuts he gets, but you cant ever make plans because their hours dont mean anything. They change the hours or close altogether on almost a daily basis. My husband got there at 2:30 today, sign said 9:00-4:00, but they werent taking any more customers today. There were 3 barbers, 3 customers getting haircuts, and no one else waiting. That was the 2nd time he had been there today. He went once & there were too many people waiting so he went back later only to find out they were quitting early with no warning. They also said they would be closed tomorrow due to having their air conditioner worked on. There was a sign about 2 weeks ago that they were closed due to air conditioner problems. Basically my husband wasted today trying to get a haircut as he couldnt plan anything else in order to try to find a time when there werent too many people waiting. He is so fed up that he is trying to find someone else who is more reliable. Edit: We called the salon where I get my hair done and they were able to give him a time to get his hair cut. As he came home from getting his hair cut, about 5:00, there were people at the Barber Shop still getting their hair cut, indicating that they actually took in customers after 2:30 when they told him that they were closed for the day. This inconsistency is why he will not be back. They have lost his business for good!

The haircut quality is good but there are seriously never more than 2 people working, it takes 2-4 hours of your day every single time just waiting. No appointments or any sense of urgency. If they adopt an appointment system, I may return. As of now, Im finding a new shop to give my business to, where I can be in and out for a simple haircut in a reasonable amount of time.

Stopped by Classic Barber and Shave today. Got a haircut, beard-trim and had my neck shaved. Alyssa was my barberand she did a great job! I HIGHLY reccomend Classic Barber and Shave. She won my business from now on. Thank you Alyssa!

I’ll start by saying the ladies here are friendly and the cuts are good. But - unless you seriously have no value for your time, I’d look elsewhere. You’ll wait 2+ hours to get in and out - never enough staff - went today...randomly closed. They need an appointment system. I wish I could be a customer but my time is way to valuable to waste sitting and waiting for a haircut once a week.

They do quality work but unless you can be there between 10:00am and 2:00pm mon-fri you’re out of luck.

What barbershop is closed on Saturday. Imagine all the people who will show up this morning only to find hours have been changed. It’s difficult enough to even get an appointment here and now closed on Saturdays, wow.

This is not the first time they decided to randomly change their hours. They seem to find it entertaining to change their hours on a whim. Even when you’re signed in and waiting they don’t care. Very unprofessional. I won’t waste my time or money there again.

The three women cutting hair were interactive and professional. The hair cut wasn’t rushed and the final result attested to the time taken. The aesthetic was old school and easy on the eyes. Highly recommend.

I love this place. Ive been going there for years and years. Ive had my hair cut by every barber there. Ive never left unhappy. Everyone is nice and courteous, and the prices are plenty fair. I will continue to go there as long as they exist.

If you want a great haircut done right, this is the place. Very friendly and warm shop to stay a while and listen to or have some good conversations if you want to. I have to stay a little longer here but the results speak for themselves - Its worth the wait.

I’ve been coming here for 10+ years. By far the best haircut in the upstate. Metal clippers, straight razor shave, hot towel, low price and great attention to detail. They deserve 5 stars, But the wait times have exceeded an hour to get hair cut the last 5-6 times I’ve come. Sometimes only 2 girls cutting hair.Maybe add more girls or allow reservations.

Was there at 4:25 pm they advertise closing at 5:30 pm but had the doors locked two men in chairs and no one waiting with 3 open chairs. Said they were closed due to too many people in line. Very unprofessional!

I brought my 3 year old for his haircut here and the woman who did his hair was very nice and you could tell she had experience working on childrens hair with the amount of patience she had. This location excepts cash only so make sure to have cash on hand. The shop has a very nice classic barber shop feel to it and I would recommend anyone to try it at least once.

I can honestly say this is the best barbershop in the area! I was very skeptical to go to a barbershop with only women because I’ve only had bad experiences with women trimming my beard. Best haircut Ive ever had! Fun and friendly atmosphere.

Use to love taking my son here for a haircut. The past few attempts we’ve made, the store is closed on a scheduled “open” day or they have closed early. Wait times are extremely long. They do a good job, but be prepared to wait hours.

Worth the wait!

I think this might be the best barber shop in Greer. Just got my hair cut here for the first time—I asked for a big change in my appearance and they did a great job. There was a bit of a long wait, but that was due entirely to how busy they seem to be on a Saturday; once my turn came up, I got a very professional haircut with due attention to detail and very little wasted time. The large number of customers ahead of me turned out to be a solid testament to their quality. Good price, great product, great experience. Ill definitely be back.

I have been coming to the The Classic Barber and Shave all the way from Travelers Rest for almost a year. I just got my hair cut this morning and Gwyn did a terrific job! The staff is very friendly, and its a warm, down home feel, yet still very classy. From the moment you walk in the door to the finishing touch of the classic hot shave I would not look anywhere else for the best haircut in the upstate!

CAUTION: MAY CAUSE OVERINFLATED EGO. Took my 11 yr old son in last week for the first time and Brandi gave him a great new look, his first ever cool haircut he says. No one has EVER cut his hair right until now. He has to style his hair every day now where he used to go out the door without even combing it. He has gotten so many compliments, he now walks with a certain swagger about him even around the house. He has stolen his brothers sunglasses and has requested a leather jacket to complete his look. No longer does he want to rush in and out of the store but insists on going around the long way to give the ladies time to appreciate his presence. Where has my unsure little shy guy gone and who is this playboy casanova that took his place? Beware the chair guys!

I’ve been attending this Barber shop for almost 3 years now. The ladies engage and remember you if you’re a regular. I don’t have to describe what type of cut I want. Any man should have a great barber to trust their head to and this is it for me. Very classic environment. The ladies are professional. Worth the wait and definitely worth giving $17. You get what you pay for, It blew my mind how easily great clips could mess up a high and tight so many times.

Great barber shop. These ladies are awesome only take off a star because they are cash only and I dont typically carry cash. But it its worth the trip to the atm. I tried other places and they just dont compare.

Ive been here a few times over the past few years since I moved to Greer. I can say that my hair is always good unless the blond hair lady cuts it. I can never get it fixed right when she does. I have never had a problem with the other two ladies though.

First time here. Had to change barbers due to work schedule change. Will be my new go to.

The wait for a cut is forever. You have to grab a ticket and wait for an eternity. Theres plenty of seating and places to charge your phones. They dont do appointments which is annoying because its luck of the draw when you come in. Despite this, the stylist do a nice job.
