Bill, Rob, and Chester went above and beyond for me, Tiger Kitty and Moxie Lady. My CV joint busted while I was passing through to go to Michigan. Well these guys made every accommodation in the world for me. Honest as the day is long these are the go to guys to trust your vehicle with. Chester is an amazing brave elder gentleman who is from Ironwood in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and he used to fly in the sky off of a world renoun ski jump call Suicide Hill. At 60 miles an hour he would fly in the sky. My hat off to you old timer.

Was quoted a price of $180.00 by Rob to fix air shocks on a Lincoln, ended up paying $335.00. When they opened it was a fair place to go for service. Years later, not so much. We wont be back!!!

They suggested a simple battery was issue....it was not....they changed battery 2 times and it still is not fixed....turns out its the starter...and they never called me back for a quote on the starter....hope ur business succeeds and u all stay safe but I will not b returning

After seeing all the great reviews on Google I decided to give Garlands Garage a try, and I was not disappointed. Everyone who works here is respectful, friendly, and really wants the best for you. I have been here thrice for issues that came up suddenly on my car, and all times they worked with me to resolve the problem as fast as possible and by looking for the best most affordable way to deal with the problem. I will only be coming here from now on.

I had a sudden brake line rupture and my former auto shop had gone out of business recently, leaving me scrambling to find a new shop ASAP. The tow truck driver recommend Garlands to me and I am so glad he did! All of the staff were amazing, the repairs were completed quickly and the prices were more than fair! If I ever need more mechanic work I will definitely be going back to Garlands!!

My family rolled into Greenwood for an overnight hotel stay en route to Michigan from Tennessee. As we entered town, we discovered our car was overheating. After checking local options (and reviews), I stopped by Garlands Garage as soon as they opened in the morning. I explained our predicament, not expecting immediate action, but the owner surprised me with an offer to diagnose our issue first thing before he began what looked to be a busy day ahead. His expression allowed that he understood how a family of four with a disabled vehicle in the winter was truly in a tough spot. After a brief wait in their office, he showed me a significant leak coming from our water pump. He quoted a price for parts and labor (that I later discovered was actually less expensive than my shop back home wouldve charged) and a timeline for repair later that same day. We were delighted to have him call us at our nearby hotel two hours ahead of his promised completion time to inform us that we were all ready to get back on the road.The family that runs this local business deserves your repair business. They could have easily taken advantage of our vulnerable situation, but they took care of us fairly, speedily and with the kind of customer service that even my glowing (and rarely offered) five-star review cant reward or thank. In order to avoid putting them on the hook for offering such services in the future, Im not even mentioning a few other kindnesses they freely offered me; but something tells me that going above and beyond in the honest service of others comes naturally to this family business.

I’m actually not from Greenwood, but I was shopping for a car and needed to get it checked out by a mechanic. It was totally by chance that I picked this place, and was nervous about the outside as I was driving up. But don’t let the outside fool you because this is a great business. It’s family-owned, and totally reliable. As a young woman, I would feel totally comfortable going here by myself (which as most women know is a rarity in the automotive world). He was very thorough with the inspection and even though my boyfriend was there, he included both of us in the inspection and went through everything that needed to be fixed and answered all of my questions. He even helped me weigh other options of possible cars that I was considering to buy. It was also only $20 for the inspection, and he offered to check out any other car that I found that day at no cost! Seriously, this business is great, and women go here first!

Great experience! Friendly staff, very informative and I would definitely recommend them. I met my son in Greenwood for lunch and as we were leaving we noticed a puddle of gas under his car, when he started it gas would just spray out everywhere. We were close to Garlands and he got us right in, lifted the car assessed the problem and fixed it all within about 20 minutes. The cost was $10!!!!!! I absolutely hate to deal with mechanics but he made this process so easy. I have found a new mechanic that I will be using from now on! Great customer service!

Dropped my vehicle off to have serpentine belt replaced. They had it finished within a few hours. Everyone was super friendly, and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Love this place.Had a really old Jeep which needs repair. After the work at this place drives like a new one. Great job.I would give 6 stars for 5. This place is great for many reasons.1) The technicians are really experienced at this place.2) Would only quote whats really necessary.3) Test thoroughly for everything and recommends what necessary.4) Save a ton of money. (Other car repair shops quoted me a big bill as they recommended me to change everything even when not needed).

This business is top notch!! My daughter lost her brakes while on the express way late in the afternoon. She called them and they told her who to call for a tow and have it towed to their garage. They called her the next morning to let her know what was wrong and a quote for repairs. When it was done and they called to let her know, it was done Two hours ahead of time and $175 less than the quote included the tow. Have not has problems with the brakes since. I take all my vehicles there and so do all my family and co workers.

Great people. Helped us in a pinch. We got in that day, they fixed the car, and we were able to pick it up about 2 hrs later. Fair in price. Very nice people. If you need some help with your car look no where else

I left my car keys with them on Saturday via key-drop because they were closed. They called me Monday with the quote and what is wrong with it. I went back to pick it up without getting repairs done because I wanted my insurance company to pay for it. They handed me the keys without any issue or making me uncomfortable for taking the car back without repairs. Impressed with their professionalism.I will bring my cars for repairs to them if I ever need any help.

I have taken multiple of my vehicles to Garlands on several different occasions to have a variety of different things fixed and I have always been pleased. Nice family owned shop that is very generous with parts & labor prices. I would take my vehicles here again in the future.

Great experience. Had the radiator on my Kia replaced. They explained what the problem was and the cost before starting repairs. Took my car in early and had it back later that day. Excellent customer service. Wonderful people! Will go back if I have any other car issues.

My air conditioning stopped working and my car was overheating. Stopped in the nearest auto repair shop and the folks at Garlands garage took a look at my engine, topped up my fluids, and diagnosed the problem with my air conditioning. They were super busy so they couldnt fix the freon today but they didnt charge me a thing for the rest of their service. Such awesome people! Highly recommend.

They diagnosed my car and had it ready for pick up the same day!! Very impressed and Bill delivered a smile that said we keep our customers happy!!!

Im not really sure about Garlands garage. I had to walk there when my car was broken down and they told me about a towing company. The lady there was nice enough.

I have used this shop on multiple occasions in the past with the absolute best service and hospitality one could ask for. They must have changed ownership recently because the older gentlman that used to help us is no longer there and the person at the front counter has also changed. I have sent both my young adult children to this shop to have their cars looked at in the last few months. In both circumstances the person at the front counter was nice but the younger gentleman was confrontational and rude enough my children ended up just leaving speechless. In both instances they were told over the phone their cars could be looked at that day but after arriving was told to leave because he didnt have time as he aggressively pointed at his appointment book asking my children if they could see how booked up he was. Its a shame because under the old management it was actually a very trust worthy place to take your vehicle and get an honest estimate. I cannot and never will recommend this place to anyone due to the gentlemans attitude and the way he raises his voice at potential customers. Meineke got our business today and did a very nice affordable job in a days notice they replaced the valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket for under $500.00.

Fixed my problem for a fair price and did not try to oversell. The issue I was having came back soon after picking my vehicle up; however, this was no fault of the mechanic, but a common GM issue. I called them and they had me in the very next day to clear the issue up. Very helpful!

Ive taken a number of different vehicles to Bill Garland and he and his son are top of the line mechanics. Most importantly they are honest and fair when it comes to pricing. In a day and age where honesty and integrity are hard to find (particularly in the auto repair industry) its a breath of fresh air (or carbon monoxide). They are no where near my house but I refuse to take my car anywhere else! (UPDATED) For a little perspective, since the age of 16 ive owned more than 10 vehicles and can count at least 20 mechanics or repair shops Ive used. ONLY GARLANDS GARAGE has displayed Trustworthiness/Integrity, Professionalism, Experience and understanding, Fair Pricing AND speedy/flexible service. Even better its family owned and operated. This is my second time updating my review on Google/Facebook. Once i received a notification of over 100 views from google, i realized how many people actually rely on them, so i had to add another paragraph, and STILL, it doesnt do these guys justice. You wont find a better option and you WILL NOT regret it. No one deserves our business more. FINALLY, I think its important to know I am NOT a family member NOR friend just promoting their business with biased opinions, I AM simply a pleased (repeat)customer! #Garlands4Life!

I am new to the area and found Garlands in a pinch. We noticed the tire was flat at 4AM thankfully they opened at 7 and could patch the tire ($10) so everyone was able to make it to school/work that day. We have since been to Garlands twice (all trips within a 1 month time frame). The next time they were able to get my 2014 Cruze in, brake pads and rotors replaced all the same day as dropping it off (all while dealing with flooding) for roughly $250. We then had our 2000 Pontiac towed to them because the brake line broke in the back. A new brake line, brake fluid, a new rear brake caliper all replaced for about the same $250. I really have nothing but great things to say about them so far and hope to continue the relationship into the future.

Great service with great prices

Technicians are rude and have non stop attitude, and the work is sub-par. Add to that, they charged me 33% more for the same repair they did 4 weeks ago and tried to tell me thats what they charged last time. I HAVE THE LAST RECIEPT, which is more accurate than their memory. These guys have NO CLUE what they are doing with a German built car, so if you own one, drive right past. Wont go back.
