Had my transmission replaced and it started leaking, they made it right as soon as they possibly could. I appreciated that.

There were some slight issues with communication and I was charged more than I was originally quoted, but despite those very minor things service was excellent and I’m back on the road again. I would absolutely go back to them and would suggest them to anyone. Wish they repaired air conditioners, that’s next on my list to have repaired lol!

There was a high volume of vehicles needing repair ahead of mine but still got looked at in a reasonable time. Unfortunately my vehicle needed special order parts. They did stay right on the quoted amount and considering major rusting of my cooling pipes and a blown bushing I wasnt even able to hold any transmission fluid in anymore. Would definately recommend Kennys. I just recommend being patient with them because I got quality work for way less than expected.

Drove there “as requested “ on my lunch break so they could get me a proper estimate for a trans cooler. They needed to see the vehicle…, Fair enough!When I arrived, I was told I had to wait for the technician’s lunch break to be over before I could get an estimate. Manager had to stay in with the phone. (I would suggest a cordless phone and technician that could take the additional amount of time off his next break).Well I waited for 15 minutes and had to leave because this was going to put me past the lunch break time that I am allowed.Poor, rude business practice!

Kenny’s got me in the same day I called and had the truck diagnosed by the end of the day. They were very thorough with me when they called to give me options while letting me know that my transmission could go out at any time. They were very quick about their work. They even had my truck back to me 1-2 days before their estimate. Although the price kind of shocked me, I think it was very fair after seeing everything they did and replaced and the 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. The transmission shifts as if it it brand new and it is even improving my fuel mileage. The guys in the office were extremely professional and organized as well which is always a plus!

Knocked out a transmission rebuild on my truck quickly to beat a deadline. They made a minor mistake, the O2 harness was left disconnected. A shop at our destination quickly fixed the problem and Kennys reimbursed the $65 labor fee in cash without any objections.

Kennys, as always, tells it how it is. Last month they rebuilt the transmission on my Granddaughters Jeep Liberty so when my daughters Nissan Sentra developed transmission problems we headed to Kennys. They helped roll it off the trailer and quickly got back with the bad news of a total rebuild being required for the notoriously bad Nissan CVT transmission. We decided, after a week of arguing with Nissan, to take it to a dealer for evaluation. Kennys parked it so I could easily winch it up on a trailer, and despite not charging us, thanked us for bringing it to them. Far more than I can say for the horrible experience I had at Andy Mohr Nissan of Avon.

The transmission is my Escalade was dying, quickly. The dealership quoted me between 8 and 10 thousand to replace it. I had Kenny’s Transmission replace my automatic transmission and cable on my Chevrolet full seized van. The van was taken to another company first. They quoted 200% of all other quotes. When we decided to take the van to Kenny’s transmission, other company refused to reassemble the transmission. Kenny’s kindly towed the van and retrieved the parts. Bill at Kenny’s was very familiar with this model GM transmission and gave us a written quote that was easy to understand. Kenny’s was very friendly and helped keep us informed of their progress. The final cost was $1300 and was right on compared to the original quote. I got more than my money’s worth considering everything. This was the first time I’ve used this company and will be back for their friendly, knowledgeable service. The repair time was slightly longer than expected, but no surprises came up during the course of the work. Keep up the good work, and take your vehicle here with confidence.

Fixed my car perfect and painted it like sonic

They were super friendly and knowledgeable. They got our vehicle fixed within a few days and saved us money. I would highly recommend them if youre in need of transmission repairs!Side note: if you dont know where they are located, it can be slightly difficult to find. GPS brought us to the back side where we saw no branding of the business. When we got to the front, trees were blocking their business name. Also, it wasnt obvious where to enter as there werent signs outside or anything.

I took my truck to them for what I thought was a transmission problem. They checked everything out and determined that the transmission was OK and it was most likely an engine problem. Had to wait too long, 2 days, for them to tell me they didnt find anything wrong, but yet Im still having the same problems.

Our Nissan SUV destroyed its own transmission due to a cooling failure (thanks for not issuing a tech service bulletin Nissan) and had to be rebuilt. Kennys took care of the rebuild promptly and exactly at estimate. We ran into trouble towing a year later, completely out of warranty, and Kennys checked out the issue and helped me solve a very odd problem.I highly recommend the expertise at this establishment, they handled this far better than the dealer.

I have been using them for years. They have repaired the transmissions on several of my vehicles and have never done me wrong. I am an automotive technician at onother shop that does not do transmission work. Kennys is the only shop I will trust my cars with.

The automatic transmission on my 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport went out. I called Kenny’s Transmission and they towed it to their shop and rebuilt the transmission.I was taking my 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport to the corner gas station and when I was leaving the station to go back home – nothing – the engine just revved and would not go into gear. The station was nice enough to let me push it to a spot on the side of the building until it could be towed the next day. The next morning I called Kenny’s Transmission and explained what happened the night before.They said they would tow my car and let me know. I called back the next day and they verified that the transmission had gone out. They stated that was pretty good for this vehicle in that the average is between 80,000 and 100,000 miles and my vehicle had 110,000 miles. My Jeep was towed on Monday and on Tuesday they said they would have it ready for me on Friday. I called back on Friday evening and asked the status of the Jeep and they said they were waiting on one last part to install and they would test drive it and call me back. they close at 6:00 pm on Friday and are not open on Saturday so I was not sure if I would get the car back for the weekend. They called back two more times after 6:00 pm and the first time they said they just got the part and were installing it and they called back and said they were test driving it and that I could come and pick it up. I went and picked it up after 8:00 pm and they were waiting there for me. they said they were doing everything they could to get the car back to me without holding it over the weekend.I appreciated that extra effort because everyone is ready to go home early on a Friday but they stayed and finished the job just so I would not be without a vehicle any longer than I had to be. I would and will recommend them to anyone any kind of transmission issue. They are honest, dependable and give you a fair price.

Gret transmission repair! I had to get mine rebuilt and it was just over $2,000 and the transmission is way better than even when I bought my car with 133,000 miles on it. They also offer a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. Car-X was just gonna put a used transmission on my car and they were going to charge me $3,000!

Whereas Im not super pleased to be going back to Kennys...( ..no offense )for another car I own with what I believe to be a transmission issue. At least it is a no brainer on where to bring it to to have trustworthy work done.We had our transmission for our other car rebuilt here. Time passes entirely too quickly but I think its been over 4 years now..probably more like 5. Shes still going good. If that does not attest to their awesome work......well, what else can you say?So. Like I said, not happy to be heading back with my newest car but there is a peace of mind knowing someone of their standard will be looking at her. My 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 135,000 miles on it was having transmission problems. Called Kenny’s Transmission and described the problem to them on the phone. They asked a lot of questions and said to bring it in for a look. They told me on the phone that if it had to be rebuilt it would take around $1500. That is less than half of what the dealer would charge. It took a couple of days to hear from them that it did need a rebuild. They said it would be about 5 days to get completed. I was in no rush due to having another car available at the time. I think they took 6 days to complete. Final price as right what they said it would be. Runs as good as new now. The people I dealt with were very nice, professional, and treated me with respect.

Kenny’s Transmission had to rebuild my transmission in my Chevy pickup. They took it for a test drive and said I was correct in what the problem was. They said if I left it that day it would be ready on Tuesday, 3 days later. Got a call on Monday afternoon saying I could pick it up that afternoon. A day sooner than promised. I spoke with the owner when I picked it up and I enjoyed listening to a man that was more like the way things were in days long lost by most all businesses today.When I spoke with the mechanic the first day he also showed me he was a person of integrity. The employees I spoke with were much the same as management. Was very pleasant to see. All in all, it was $1500 to rebuild it and I got it back one day sooner. Thanks.

These guys are the best! We were traveling back to Texas when the transmission on our van gave out. We had our van towed from another shop that was 55 miles away after talking to Mike at Kennys Transmission and realizing that they were going to do a better job for 1/2 the price. When we got there that afternoon, Chris the owner literally blew us away. He immediately took charge and found us a hotel room and hooked us up with transportation for the weekend, just like family. My In Laws drove their handicapped accessible van from Illinois to Indy for a visit. Their Transmission began acting up during the trip and they crawled into Indy. I contacted Kennys and they towed it in for a diagnostic. Discovered that the the transmission would need rebuilt or replaced. We agreed to a rebuild and they delivered on schedule, at a fair price and the van has had zero issues since. Provided my In Laws with peace of mind as they traveled home. I would recommend them.

Kenny’s Transmission rebuilt my transmission on a 1996 GMC Jimmy truck after diagnosing wear and metal inside that had contributed to my symptoms (transmission had gone into safe mode and only used gears 2 and 3).I took my truck in at noon, and by the next morning I had a diagnosis. Since it was still on the lift when they called me, and I expressed it was my online vehicle, they committed to a 2 day turn-around.It was ready on time. As others have reported here, they are great on quality of work, honesty, and price. Use them for their repair skills and honesty. I will always choose them over the national chains.

Transmission my truck went out and Kennys made it run like new again!

They were just about a grand cheaper than any other places I went for a quote, I never used them before and the second I walked in I felt welcome. They fixed EVERYTHING that was wrong with my car, even the things I somewhat ignored, my car feels like new and when I went in for a follow up they remembered me right off the bat. They stand by their work and are top rate in their customer service skills. I wont ever be going any where else. It was not how my car felt that truly mattered but how they respected me as a human being that took the cake.

I thought that the transmission in my truck was working improperly and not shifting like it should. I went to one transmission shop and they wanted $49 to do diagnostic work on it including a readout of the computer chip without even driving it. I then went to Kennys, they took it out for a drive, checked the fluid, checked the computer information and told me that there was nothing wrong with it. That it just shifted differently than my other vehicle. When I asked what I owed them I was told nothing since they didnt do any work. If I need to have any transmission work done in the future I will definitely go to Kennys to have the work done.

The guys are really honest, but they do not work on dual-clutch transmissions, such as the 2013 Dodge Dart Limited. I will go back if another vehicle gives me transmission problems.

A couple of weeks ago, the transmission in my truck seemed to have gone out. I had the vehicle towed to Kennys and they gladly diagnosed it for FREE. They told me several times, we dont charge anything to look at them. This was very helpful. After diagnosis, they told me all my options which helped me decide the best thing to do with my vehicle. I would recommend Kennys. They were kind and helpful.

The transmission on our Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo was completely rebuilt here for 1600 dollars. We dropped off the Jeep on a Thursday for them to inspect and provide a free estimate. They didn’t get to it until Monday. I was told there was significant shavings collecting in the pan and that a planetary gear was nearly worn away and that the only best solution was the rebuild the transmission. Since my Jeep only has 64,000 miles we decided to have the work done. They were finished on the date promised, 4 days later, for the quoted amount. It’s been a couple weeks and no problems.

Recently I contacted Kennys Transmission in Greenwood to get some prices on parts that they would otherwise purchase to repair vehicles. During the short phone conversation, I received no help because unless they did the work, they wouldnt point me in the right direction or order the parts themselves. To me, thats selfish and unprofessional. Just before that, I had contacted another shop and since they dont deal with my car issues, they pointed me in the direction of Kennys. At least they showed the decency to help.

Kenny’s replaced the transmission in my Honda Minivan. Total cost: $1300. They gave me the best quote in town, met all of their timelines, and were very accommodating. You won’t go wrong with Kenny’s.

My friend took her Honda to Kennys Transmission in Greenwood to get the clutch fixed when she picked it up the drivers side window was broken! They did not even tell her, she found out after she left. When she asked about it they said, yea that happens to Hondas. No sorry or anything. He also said they tried to pull on it and get it up so they may have made it worse. This repair was very costly and now shes suppose to fix what they broke! What happened to being a responsible business? What happened to customer service?

Even though I got bad news and found out my transmission was slipping, these guys didnt charge me a dime to look at it. I told them Id leave a review and so here we go.

They had to totally rebuild my transmission. They towed the van in, did a complete diagnostic, explained the problem to me, gave me an estimate, and performed the work. They ran into additional electrical problems, but didn’t finish the job until they could guarantee that the new transmission wouldn’t have problems with the electrical like the original one did (it blew at only 66K miles). I was very pleased. They sent a tow truck out to pick up the vehicle. I did have to call to see where they were on the job several times, but I tend to be impatient. They explained the details to me well. Overall cost: $1549.30.

Dad and I had the transmission rebuilt on my 2001 Ford Escort ZX2 and they stuck right to the weeks time they said it would take. Was a bit pricey but I understand specalty work like transmissions requires that is a bit costly. I came in on a Wednesday because I left my parking pass for school in the car, and they had no problem retrieving it for me. Would easily recommend this place again and again.

Took the family Chevy in for transmission issues per a different shop on the southside. Getting a second opinion before spending that much money like the other shop quoted us for. Kenny’s people made the diagnosis. It was not the transmission it was the catalytic converter..did not charge for their expertise and referred us on to get it properly fixed. Thanks to the honesty of Mr. Dearing’s people, we got the problem fixed at about 10% of the proposed bill from the other shop.
