Im a manager of a local UPTOWN business & this has been an ONGOING ISSUE FOR OVER A YEAR now in Hodges Parking lot Greenville, NC. Locals have organized multiple cleanup & GFL Environmental has continued to make a large mess as well as not haul away trash that the LOCAL BUSINESSES PAY to have taken away. SO WHATS GOING ON!?!GFL Environmentals own worker say to the local community of residents in the UPTOWN Greenville area & business owners that they dont get out of the trucks to pick up trash .... Well, how do you expect to dispose of all the trash that you are PAID to pick up if they wont even get out of the trucks to pick up even the NEW wheel-able trash cans over flowing with glass that your company chose to put out.

Have been happy up until today when the man did not show up for our trash and I have been lied to several times today.well this is
3rd week in a row trash has fallen out of the bin and hes left it hanging on the side...also didnt shut the doors all the way a 2 bags are left behind.
Great service, always like clock work with the schedule we were given for pick up. They are very responsive with any issues. Often we need an unscheduled extra pick up, I call in to the local office and it is handled promptly. We have been a customer for going on 6 years and plan to make it many more. Big shout out to this group and there hard work. Thanks for supporting our businesses needs.
Ive had two outstanding interactions with members of the Greenville area Waste Industries. Both encounters were so positive that Im writing this review and called to speak to a supervisor. In the first case, we had just moved to a new building and overloaded the dumpster. The driver got out of the truck several times to pick-up trash that had fallen onto the ground and ensure everything was dumped. If you call the company, the drivers arent expected/allowed to do that; nevertheless, the employee knew it was the right thing for good customer service, so did it despite the rules. The second incident happened today while I was unloading building materials at the landfill. The Waste Industries employee saw that I needed a larger shovel, so voluntarily loaned me his.... then, came back and helped me finish unloading the trailer. He did not have to help in either way, but did. What a great example of employees, customer service, and reflection of Waste Industries. Say what you want, but Im impressed!! Public service is not easy and these guys and gals have what is often a dirty/stinky job.... but both of my personal interactions have been superior!!
Excellent experience. My residential service is picked up on the assigned day( except during natural disasters). The employees are friendly and approachable. Never have any issue with missed or incomplete service
Was customer of Pak-R with 10 lot mobile home park for 5 years before Waste bought them out. Never 1 complaint. Since then Waste has missed several service days and just picked up one residents container. I sold the park in August and cancelled service on August 29th. Bank account drafted for service two additional months. Told today I had to PROVE I sold the park in order for draft to be cancelled. SOUND LIKE SOMEONE YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH?
They bought out PAK-R which did a great job on picking up my trash every week, Ive been a customer for 16 years. This new company comes in and misses trash cans, doesnt follow a schedule on pickup and totally destroyed my original PAK-R can which Ive had for 16 years with out problem. then they replace it with a dinky little trash can.
Used to use Pak-R and now WI. Just now they came a day late (which is understandable, due to the storm) BUT drove off leaving my husband at the end of the driveway with our full bin. We are certain the driver saw him, as he was only about 20 feet away (in direct view of the truck window) and on a clear driveway when the truck rushed to back into a neighbors driveway to maneuver his way out of our cul-de-sac quickly. No explanation but meanness....someone thinking it funny to leave him standing there. Not funny when we pay for this service.
We used this service after it bought out PAK-R. Just dropped them after repeated problems with billing and bogus invoice stateing sending bill to collections? Really?Next, yesterday their truck comes through picks up neighbors garbage and dumps half of it on the street then just leaves. Called Waste Industries and could care less about lazy female driver who wouldnt get out of truck and clean up.Best I can tell Waste Industries bought out three local companies, no one is happy with WI. This is typically what happens when corporate Giants/monopolizing the area.Your services and people are TERRIBLE.My response to you is; the company received phone calls before with concerns over billing. Apparently your billing system is deficient, end story.Last phone conversation with WI was over neighbors garbage all over road and driver leaving the mess. That conversation was indifference over driver leaving mess.We are done/over.

We have been using this companys service since 2007 but within the last year the service which used to be very dependable has dropped way down to the point that we never know if our trash will be picked up or not. Tomorrow morning will be the 4th time that I will have to call to complain and demand my trash be removed. This is all within 3-4 months. In addition, a representative from Waste Industries called my husband approximately 2 weeks ago stating they were changing our pick-up day from Friday to Thursday which is fine............except that Thursday is here, its 7:12 pm and my trash is overflowing. If you want dependable trash removal services, I suggest Davids Trash Service because I believe its time for us to switch. Its a shame that after 9 years of great service its come to this.
We have been with the company for about a month. They missed two pickups for our trash. Cancelling and trying another company.
If you want a company that can’t follow their own pick up schedule this is the one for you. I was a customer of SDR in Greenville for years. They got bought out without notice right after I repaid for the year. Now I can not get trash picked up. When I call I get the run around from the person that answers. Who I was told was the manager of Greenville Mike won’t return calls now. In the 2 weeks I have been dealing with them they are the worst company you could choose to give your business and your earned money to. At this point I just want a refund first and then to get their can off my property. I will take off my own trash after this, because it looks like they are buying all small companies in the area. Sad when you have to buy out a good company then run off their customers. Bad part is I was forced in to doing business with this company. I guess when your service is so bad its easier to buy out small company to take there customers instead of changing your practices to have them sign up with you in the beginning .

I would not use this company. There customer service is horrible. We had Pak-R and when Pak-R sold to Waste Industries our account was transferred. We had paid for a entire year at Pak-R, so we paid for services until December 2018. Waste Industries started billing us before December and then when I called them about it, they said only a credit had transferred from Pak-R. Which is not the customers fault. So, I asked them what their yearly rate was and she said $144. No discount for paying in full. I then told them I wanted to discontinue services and they told me I couldnt because it was in the middle of a quarter and they dont pro-rate. So I asked them even though there is no signed contract and I dont want their services I had to keep them until Feb 22nd? The lady said yes, they could come get the trash can but I still had to pay until Feb 22nd! I have never heard of such a thing. A company not letting you cancel because they dont know how to pro-rate? That is crazy. It is simple math. I then called SDR (which is another trash company), I spoke with Joey and he was very friendly! I told him the story of what happened and told him I wanted to switch to his company on Feb 22nd. He then said since I had such a hard time with Waste Industries he would bring a trash can to the house and not charge me until Feb 22nd if I wanted to just call Waste Industries back and tell them to get the trash can now. He was willing to do that since I still had to pay Waste Industries since they are incompetent and dont know how to pro-rate. So long story short - we switched providers because Waste Industries doesnt know how to treat their customers. If you are having the same issues, call Joey at Sanitary Disposal & Recycling!!!
This has to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This company recently bought out M&W Hauling who wasn’t much better but this is a new low. An automated message was left on everyone’s phone in my subdivision to let us know garbage would be picked up on a new day: Friday. Friday came and went with the garbage still here and no sign of the new company. Not one person has had their garbage picked up except obviously the people who made a wiser decision to work with a different company. I tried to call them and the phone has been disconnected. I called the number on the website and a woman named Robyn answered that literally responded to the predicament by saying “this isn’t my problem, I don’t even know where Sneads Ferry is.” So there is still an entire subdivision with garbage piling up & no solution or ability to get ahold of this company.By the way, that’s fine if you don’t know where I live but as the customer service representative, it is your problem.
The worst . Pak R Disposal got bought ouy by Waste Industries. Since the switch, I have had nothing but trouble. They didnt pick up,so i call. I am promised a pick up. Still nothing. It takes 3 days and several calling and finally trash is picked up. The following week here we go again with trash not being picked up. I plan to call executive management to give one chance to air my grievance before I switch. Let me tell you what would happen if i didnt make a payment. funny thing is, during the transfer of ownership; the check wasnt forwarded to Waste Mgmt yet. What do i do pay again with debit card to customer service. This makes it to where i have paid twice for a 3 month service and cant get my damn trash picked up.
Horrible service. We had Yak and they were bought out by this company and I wouldnt recommend. Theyre either late or just dont show up at all. Frustrating!
