First 3 months of household trash pickup was fine. Fridays by 5. Then, no pickup and no customer service after 5pm. I called once or twice a week to ensure that my trash would be picked up for the next 6 weeks and it was Not. I called Sat a.m to report no pickup...I finally had to clear the trash from my property and haul it to the dump myself. During this time, i had a credit balance on my account.

We are so disappointed with this company. The other posts are true. This company will take your money and not perform the service! They keep missing our pick up! Our trash is still not picked up they were supposed to pick up every Monday but has not showed up for the past three times in a row. They keep telling us that they have us on their schedule for pick up but none showed up. I kept calling them and all they do is lie and yes their customer service are rude and do not have a care for their customer! I would definitely avoid them, I had to cancel my account with them.Hello DR,Thank you for resolving the issues. We appreciate your help and just waiting for the pick up of your bin since we missed the October 4th schedule due to us being out of town and now scheduled for October 13th. Republic services is a example of whats wrong in our country and its driven by greed. We had a good trash service until about a year and a half ago when Republic services bought out our trash pickup service. Since the change over it has been a nightmare. Its quite obvious that Republic services bought out Powell thus taking over a entire area without increasing their fleet of trucks and drivers.Currently we have trash that has been sitting out in front of our house for 2 weeks. Its not just our street. Its a entire area. Everyday we call Republic services and we hear the same lie. We will be there tomorrow. This is unacceptable. I suggest we all go on Facebook and Nextdoor and we organize to replace this trash service with someone else. We as consumers shouldnt have to put up with this.

This company is AWFUL. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! They do not show up on time, they dont get all the trash, and then the missed pickups dont get rescheduled correctly. If you try to call to get it corrected you get terrible results.

Agree with all of the other poor reviews. Service has not picked up the past two weeks. Called multiple times last week for days after first missed pickup and was promised it would come that same day. Nobody came. I now have two weeks worth of trash waiting outside. Their rates also went up $15 per quarter. I’ll be cancelling tomorrow. Totally unacceptable.

HORRIABLE SERVICE!! Never picked up the day they said they would had to keep calling every time. After reading the other comments, others are having the same problem!!! The last guy I talked with was extremally rude. I no longer have service with this company. i wish I had read the reviews before and would have never started with this company!!

When Powell owned this trash pickup they were so good. This week we never got our garbage picked up at all even though I called everyday. Pickup should be Tuesday but they never picked up. Called twice today and they showed I called each day but now the last call at 2:00 they said somebody scheduled it for the 3rd of Sept. I guess they don’t have a clue what day of the week it is. I will change service once my account comes due. Five days sitting in a hubpndred degrees does not smell good.

I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star if I could. They bought out our old company and we have not received a trash pickup in 3 WEEKS everyone else around us that has the SAME company has been picked up. I’ve also been trying to get ahold of them and NO answer.I will take my business else where. Not to mention I just PAID for the next 3 months.

We are part of the transition from Powell’s buyout. So far, we are paid up for the quarter but can’t get service. I have called, left messages & only get service when I call fussing after my can has sat street side from Sunday evening til Friday. I believe in giving new companies the benefit of the doubt & understand all that’s involved with the transition but at the same time this has gone on for weeks now so I am in search of a company with better service & cares about their customers. So disappointed in Republic!

Extremely disappointed and angered by the treatment weve received as NEW PAYING CUSTOMERS.I am a paying customer that started service in 7/20/20 in Fountain Inn by calling Powells, whom I guess they bought out. We had a can to start from the previous owners. After the first pickup, they took our can away and despite calling over, and over, and over again, for 4 weeks now, requesting a can be returned, we have yet to see one. So, weve been piling our trash on the street every week since for our scheduled pickup day, which rarely even occurs on that actual day. They have been consistently a day or two late picking up. Last time we called we asked to speak with a manager, were transferred to a voicemail, and have not received a call back. Been calling this morning and no one will pick up. So fed up. This is the service you get as a PAYING CUSTOMER. Sadly since they are the only company servicing my area, they have a monopoly and dont seem to care that they treat their customers like this. We are getting our money back as soon as we can get someone to answer the phone.

I drove a uhaul truck to the landfill, the fill was so busy I could not fit my truck in and one of the workers informed me I could wait til 5;55 and drive up and unload my 2 couches and the other items I needed to have unloaded. My wife and I unloaded the couches and started to quickly separate the other items into the other bins because we did not want to be disrespectful and just throw plastic into the metal bins or trash where the wood goes.. anyways a man comes up to us at 6:05 and with a very disrespectful and rude attitude he said “ I don’t come up to your job and make you wait 30 minutes past closing to make a mess for you” unquote. And made us leave. So as we were told we could wait and unload after the rush of cars to be able to park our 85$ uhaul and unload our trash quickly and be on our way we were forced to leave, being yelled at by a worker there. Now I have to pay another 85$ for this uhaul to come back again tomorrow. Didn’t deserve to be treated like that.

Republic bought out the company we used to use (Powells) and the service has been poor at best. We have had our trash picked up twice since July 1. We have called several times to ask when our pick up day is and they dont know. Weve been told Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday. I called on Thursday and was told I would be called back that day....they didnt .My wife called on Friday and reached the Arizona office and was told that was unacceptable and he would send emails and have it picked up. My wife called again this morning and was told by a supervisor that he would try to have it picked up today. We have four weeks worth of garbage that has been sitting at the top of our driveway. Obviously customer service is foreign to Republic Services and we will be taking our business elsewhere. A refund of the quarterly bill minus the two weeks service we did get is anticipated but not expected. Its how they operate.

This review is no joke. Republic is not picking up the trash weekly and therefor is not complying with there agreement. They certainly dont have any issues with taking your money. This is fraud and anybody having this issue should file a complaint with the state attorney. I will be filing a complaint. I will not put up with thieves that take my money and not provide the service. For filing a complaint contact sc.gov states attorney consumer complaints.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Ive called 3 times this week to get my trash picked up which is now 4 days late. I was told each day they are sending emergency pick up. Yesterday I was told my pickup was scheduled at 5pm, and to call back at 5:05 if they were there, that they are open till 6pm, and they would get me with a supervisor. Well, I called at 5:05pm and the center was CLOSED. Well looks like you are in the right business Republic because you are absolutely TRASH. Now I have to go rent a truck so I dont have neighbors staring at a week and a half of trash over a holiday weekend. Congrats on losing a customer

We put our garbage can out late (around 2pm), but they still came to get it!Thomas left us a hand written note to remind us to put it out the night before, which I thought was kind. He could have just left the garbage but instead went above and beyond to stop and pick it up.Thanks, Thomas!

Just received a notice in the mail this week that this company bought out the company I was using, Powells.Republic decided not to service any of Powells customers on our entire road this week.I guess this is what I can expect in the future.You never get a second chance to make a first impression.Update:So, after complaining that we did not receive service on the first week, they finally showed up on week 2 (7 days late). Its now week 3 and no service today either. Apparently, maybe we can only expect service every other week. I hope they dont expect full payment, if they are only rendering half service.

Yep...bought out Powells, and theyre HORRIBLE!! Our entire street is seeking alternate services. We are all totally P.Od! They cant even have the courtesy to answer their phones.DO NOT USE THEM...youll be hauling off your own garbage!! GRRR!!

I pass by this location everyday on my way to work and the people who drive these trucks are reckless. They fly down the road and one day on my way in I got stuck behind one of these trucks and trash was flying everywhere along the road and some of it got stuck on the front of my Jeep. I called the company to complain but they never got any of my contact information.
