I asked the barber to take a little off my beard. Instead he took it down nearly to the skin, and did so unevenly. Itll take a couple months to get my beard back to the length that I want it

Russ has been cutting my hair for nearly twenty years, dating back to before he established Mohawk. He is the only person I trust with my beard. Even after I moved out of state, I would make a point of coming back to his shop whenever I came back to Greenville. The service at his shop has always been exceedingly professional, and he goes out of his way to ensure that both his product and the experience are the best that can be provided. I recommend Mohawk to anybody looking for a quality barbershop experience, and particularly those who are particular about their facial hair.

Russ is the man. He is a stand up guy and always does a great job. There have been two occasions where I decided after the fact that I wanted a shorter haircut. When Ive gone back in a day or two after my cut to ask if I could go a bit shorter, Russ has not complained once or made me pay for another cut. I wont go to another barber in Greenville.

Great shop to get a fantastic cut or beard trim. Todd, Russ, and crew are super friendly and offer great expertise. The shop itself is low-key but functional. Can grab a cup of coffee or a beer if the wait is long. Online scheduler is a personal favorite of mine as well.

Ive been cutting my own hair for years and finally decided it was time to have it done professionally. The haircut I received is exceptional. Far better then I have ever done and it looks great. The barber took his time and cut my hair exactly the way i wanted. I also got a beard trim and it looks great too. Great attention to detail, a great atmosphere and a fair price. I will be going back in a bout a month for my next appointment and i would recommend you do too. Also, you can book appointments online. How convenient!

Ive been going to salon after salon looking for someone who can cut my very short hair. At $50 or more per visit for hair that was less than satisfactory I decided to take the plunge and try a barber. I was worried I wouldnt be welcomed considering I am a female in what I assumed was an all male world. I booked with Todd and he was amazing. Super friendly and after a brief explanation gave me one of the best haircuts Ive had. I cant believe what Ive been missing. I highly recommend Mohawk. AND they have beverages. Win win.

I had a great experience at the Barbershop on Mohawk Drive. Today I had my first haircut from here, and the first thing I noticed was that it has a really friendly, chill kind of vibe to the place. Russ cut my hair, and Im happy to say it turned out exactly how I wanted it to. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, and he told me what he was going to do and then after it was cut how to maintain the look. I recommend this barbershop.

Great 3 chair old school barbershop. Lather neck shave and hot towel treatment at end. My cut was $20+ tip. Well worth it. Had (Art P) in center chair and he was fast and did exactly what I asked. Will go back.

Bryan has been dong my hair and beard ever since i found this place. This place is the best. I am not one to really write reviews but i am super pleased with the old school feel of this shop. If you are a guy and do not go here you missing out. And guys that have a beard they are a one stop shop for you!!!

Todd is the best barber Ive ever been to. Gives the most consistent hair cuts and always knows how to handle little issues that need to be fixed. I tell him every time I go that I hope hes cutting hair for a long long time because its hard to find someone like him. I cant recommend this place enough. I went to one of the other popular barbershops here in Greenville for several years and they just dont compare to Mohawk. Place is clean and inviting. Can grab coffee or a beer and sit, which I would gladly do here. Give them a shot and youll be loyal. Russ and Todd do it right at a good price.

I was referred to Russ by one of his customers (Thanks Nate) and I am very impressed. I just let my beard grow wild for 2 months and said, Omakase (Japanese phrase that means Ill leave it up to you). His work garnered kudos from many of my circle, and thats some serious praise. Ill be giving him carte blanche on my hair next visit.(Update 11/27/2019):Perfect high fade. Russ has a new fan. I believe I will be bringing my father for a visit. Job well done.

Great place to get a haircut. After a few less than stellar experiences at a local Great Clips, I decided to check out Mohawk. Price is right ($22 for a regular haircut) and staff is extremely knowledgeable. The atmosphere is very man-cavish with beer in stock and Marvel movies playing in the background. Another huge benefit is the ability to book online.

Its a fantastic place to get a cut but my beard keeps coming out asymmetrical and requires a follow-up at home. That said I do recommend them.

Best haircut I have got hands down! This Barbershop has an awesome old school atmosphere and all the barbers are really cool and very friendly. The owner Guss seemed like a really nice guy. They have all kinds of beer and it just has that real barbershop feel unlike a Great Clips or other franchise salon, this is a real barbershop with real barbers. The attention to detail was amazing. While cutting my hair, Eric took his time and made sure I was gonna walk out of there with the best fade I have ever had, my barber even got the opinion of one of the other guys just to make sure I had the best haircut possible and that really impressed me. The price is more expensive than a franchise place, my cut was $22 not including tip but it is well worth it. Also they do take walk-ins but most of the time they are fully booked so call ahead and set up an appointment before you go. That just shows how amazing this shop is and I highly recommend making this your permanent barbershop.

Went here to get myself and my groomsmen a straight-razor shave the morning of my wedding. These guys were awesome! I called a few days early, and they set aside 2 barbers for us to make sure we werent there all day. The shave felt amazing, and, in addition to giving the grooms shave free, they discounted each shave by a couple of dollars because we brought a large group. The staff are capable and friendly, the atmosphere is great, and I would strongly recommend them for any grooming needs.

Mohawk Barbers is one of the best places for an awesome haircut that Greenville has to offer. I highly recommend giving them a chance next time you are wanting an amazing haircut.

It was the only barber shop open because of the snow earlier in the day, and I really needed a haircut. I walked in around 5:30, a man was sitting in the waiting area, all the chairs were empty, and I could see no one else. The barber appeared from a back room and asked if I had an appointment. I said no, I just needed a haircut. He explained to me that he still had to cut the man who was waiting’s hair, and then they would be closing.I don’t really understand turning someone away, especially since you weren’t busy and it was probably a slow day because of the snow. Not to mention he didn’t ask if I wanted to make an appointment for tomorrow or another time even. It’s disappointing since I drove all over Greenville and literally every other haircutting business was closed all day.

Amazing old timey vibe with a modern twist. All barbers are very polite and I love that I feel like Im sitting in a den while waiting for my haircut. Its comfortable with a big leather sofa, with tons of knick knacks of barberings? past to look at. Comparing prices I was pleased to note that you get quality service at a good price. I also like that this is locally owned and not a chain like many other places around.

1st and last time customer. I instructed the barber, Art Pirtle how I wanted my hair left heavy on the sides and short on the top. He nearly cut all my hair off on the sides and left it heavy on the top. He said the sides will grow back looking better. How can he not understand when I said cut just a tiny bit off the sides. He didnt even dry my hair and combed it to the right instead of straight back. Ill have to wait another 6+ weeks to get my hair back the way I like it. Maybe another barber will do what I ask, not what he wants!.
