Being out of state, I attempted to make an appointment with an agent to look at property in the Durham area. Unfortunately, I was dealt with in not so much a pleasant manner/experience. The agent demanded I get financial documentation before I was shown houses. Im aware of what I currently own and can afford. The agent passed on showing me around. Im wondering if Allen Tate realty is doing business by pressuring its costumers into sales...Thanks Jermaine Lee for the horrible experience.

Thank goodness for Kim Diop at Allen Tate Realtors! My husband and I are 1st time home buyers and had no idea what we were doing. We also had a very limited budget. We had already tried and failed with a different realtor and were on a time crunch, and then along came Kim. The clouds parted, the sun shined, singing could be heard…okay maybe a little exaggeration but not much. We gave Kim our “wish” list and our budget. She was honest with us and said what we were looking for was a unicorn. With that kind of honesty I was hooked! I knew she would steer me in the right directions. Kim pointed out pros and cons in different houses we looked at, she knows a lot about the areas she works in, she helps newbies like us stay informed and grounded without losing hope. Kim has unbelievable patience (trust me I ask a LOT of questions), she was professional, understanding, and fun to look at houses with. In the end we our blessed with our 1st home! Kim was right it isn’t a unicorn but it is darn close! She’s a hard worker who makes dreams happen. Actually she did find us a unicorn because she gave us an adorable stuffed one at closing, so sweet. Guess what the name of the unicorn’s label said “pax” which means peace and that’s what we have is a new home we can make memories in and be a peace. I can’t recommend Kim Diop enough. She’s a great unicorn hunter!
