I have rented from them multiple times and it has always been a great experience. The cars are always clean with no complains. Will definitely continue to rent from them.

Worst experience we have ever had with a car rental. Stated on the receipt that we drove the car from Greensboro NC to Nashville TN with 74 miles used total. The car was never driven out of Nc. Charges made to our bank acct without authorization, and no one speaks English on sight or when you try and contact them. Had to show proof through our credit union that we stopped and purchased gas prior to returning the vehicle. On the receipt is says we turned the vehicle in with no gas. We will likely need a lawyer to get through this. Beware!!!! SCAM

This is a very terrible place, that we do not recommend. We had an Asian customer service agent and his service was the absolute worst. He couldn’t understand anything and he was very illiterate and slow. When I asked for his name, he didn’t give it to us, and he wasn’t wearing a name tag. He treated my friend very badly in regards to a reservation but we ultimately saved his birthday. I will be following up all the way through management and a few other channels about this person in particular.

Its bad the first car was not clean and the air conditioning didnt work. I took it back and they gave me a second one it was not clean and the two front tires I had too keep putting in air in the tires. Then after my trip I returned the car, two days later I remembered that I left my sunglasses in that car so I went back too dollar car rental and I told them about me leaving my sunglasses in the car so they had someone to look and see if they are there if they are bring them to the office. Well I did get the sunglasses from them but they had it tied up with some tag with a string and I didnt take the string off until the next day and when I took the string off the sunglasses fell apart they was broken so they broke the sunglasses that is why it was tied up with a tag and a string, that is bad that they done that to my sunglasses. I paid $70.00 for those sunglasses and now I had to throw them in the trash. Dollar car rental is a sorry company. If you thinking about renting a car from dollar please rethink it. From a upset customer.

I had a very bad experience with you guys after being a loyal customer and have never had problems until I rented from you guys. The car I was given drives and rides horrible I was simply try to switch out Casey closed my account without permission. Let me know he didn’t care about me and my family including a 2 month old walk home from an airport. The customer service was horrible and his mouth is wreck-less he had no regard for the customer. The manager was the only one that handled the situation according. I will never again rent thru Dollar any more thank you Casey.

I had a very bad experience with you guys after being a loyal customer and have never had problems until I rented from you guys on Friday. The car I was given drives and rides horrible of course every time I called to tell customer service I never could get a hold to anyone at the rental counter. After turning the car back in early I was still charged full price for the rental and a smoking fee and I don’t even smoke. I called customer service back and tried to argue this complaint and for them to remove the smoking fee but they refused to remove the charge and cared nothing about the non-safety vehicle. I am a traveling nurse and rent cars a lot and never had this experience with anyone but I will not be renting from dollar ever again!

Great customer service. I feel guilty for not getting their names but they were fantastic. Car was perfect. Airport hard to find with my iPhone but it was due to construction. Absolutely no regrets. Thanks for a great experience.

Service is great Car was fantastic. As I read other complaints on here I think its inexperienced people renting cars. They took my credit card charged cost + 15% hold like they always do and I was on my way in a nice Nissan Altima. Did an after-hours return on my way home and had no problems receipt was emailed.

The persons at the counter very friendly and professional..Pricing for the rental was low and the vehicle road nicely. However, the holding policy on the credit card (amount) was to outstanding. I had no problem with dollar amount being held but, I check with other rentals and the holding amount is a lot cheaper.. My coupons really help with the price of the rental and I certainly will use this company again

Always get great service and car is always in good condition. Gas savers too! I do a lot of traveling and their pricing is a big help. Usually $20-$30 lower than the competitors. Although I would suggest an updated hours of operation because they werent here for my 8am rental I did online 😐😐😐

Dollar rental..... over charges...We were charged an additional $300. for smoke damage. WE ARE NOT SMOKERS!!! They refused to remove the charges. Now we have to contact our credit card carrier to dispute the charges. Terrible customers service, Stay away from Dollar rental!!!

It was horrible. They charged me extra money. I even didnt tell that guys to add insurance but he did. I returned car before 24 hours but they charged me for extra hour. They are terrible. Then i called them they took forever to pick my call. And lady saidshe is not able to remove some of the charges. What the hell.Never gonna book a car through #DOLLAR.

The fact that you have to have a plane ticket isnt on the website is disappointing to go that far to pick up a car and you cant.

I posted a couple weeks ago and just told the truth. Thought about it and didnt want anybody to get wrote up or fired so I deleted it a couple days later. But I guess the damage was already done because when i returned the car a couple days later I received a $175 dollar cleaning/smoking fee and I did not smoke in the car. I been a dollar member for almost 5 years and never had a cleaning/smoking fee until I wrote a review. It just sucks that it took almost 2 hours to receive my car, impeded the plans I had previously planned and on top of that charge me a fee for telling the truth. I talked to Deborah a customer service agent who was supposed to talk to me prior to the investigation but somehow declined my refund before even hearing the facts or even talking to me. When i finally got her on the phone after repeat calls all she kept saying was you not getting a refund repeatedly and we talked to the location. The location were the workers who were negligent and took their time, so obviously they would say he smoked in the car because he wrote a bad review on me. The checks and balance for this situation isnt right and Dollar is to blame. I dont know what type of establishment Dollar is but I wont be returning I have free days with them but I rather spend my money else where! The Dollar rental car at pti is a 2 star location with bad customer service and book appointments on days theyre closed!!!!!

Never ever ever will I go back to this place drove two-and-a-half 3 hours to get there to rent a car to go see my grandbaby be born in another state and upon arriving staff was less than friendly only to tell me the reservation I had booked a month ago they would not be honoring because I didnt have a major credit card only my bank card with cash and deposit on hand but that didnt matter never again I wont recommend mm now that I have a credit card never ever would I ever use them or suggest them to any family or friends I was beyond disappointed and heartbroken that this information couldnt have been disclosed in the prior 30 days that I had made the reservation

The only reason Dollar gets one star is that you cannot put zero stars. Like the other review Dollar staff at GSB PTI informed me of their policy changes which do not honor debit cards without proof of flight and informed me this is on the website. THERE IS NO SUCH POLICY ON THE WEBSITE. IN FACT IT SAYS JUST THE OPPOSITE!!! The staff merely pointed to the sign on the counter. This is despite the fact that I paid the vast majority of the rental price with a debit card on their website. They could not cancel the car you have to call. I called the customer service on a Sunday and it tells you that they are only open M-F from 8:00 till 5:00PM. This is apparently 1977 in customer service. The staff at PTI is of course as you would expect uncaring and ignorant of their own company policies.

This is by far the worst place to rent cars from. The staff was terrible. I rented a compact car and something was wrong with the car accelerating,so I took the car back to get another. The staff told me thats how Ford cars drive, thats a lie. So they offered me a smaller car,and I said forget cancell my reservation. They werent friendly,and didnt even apologize for giving me a lemon. I went to Enterprise and they had exceptional customer service. Never,ever again will I rent from Dollar rental. They need to hire compassionate and competent employees.

NIGHTMARE!!!! I rented a car for the week and returned the car on Monday May 7. Somehow the cat does show up as being scanned into their system until May 18 in I was charged for this additional time. None of the management or customer service agent tried to help me locate the car. They threatened to charge me with grand theft auto and once I contacted my attorney the car mysteriously shows up.
