The Greenbrook Apartments is an excellent community to reside in. The Staff and Management are friendly, efficient; they resolve any issues that arise in a timely manner and the Maintenance team is responsible and does a great job. The environment is peaceful, cozy, and clean and the tenants are cordial.I love my apartment! I feel comfortable, safe and happy as a tenant in this wonderful community.

Three years ago I wrote this review.I moved in three months ago and Im really enjoying the experience so far. My neighbors are friendly, and my place was just remodeled.Greenbrook Apartments include garage disposals, dish washers, a full stove and microwave, a fully-functioning refrigerator and freezer, a bathtub (rather than just a shower), a AC unit and lots and I mean LOTS of cabinet space. Theres coin-operated laundry downstairs (the unsubsidized laundry has cards) and a storage area to put your stuff.Besides that there is wide open spaces and private parking. The location is GREAT: Konkel Park is literally your backyard. Rent is affordable whether you choose subsidized or not. It took them four months to find a place for me, much sooner than the six months to a year average wait.Highly recommended!Update: They added cards for all laundry machines, so no more using coins to do laundry anymore! I added pictures from when I first moved in to show you guys what a typical Greenbrook apartment looks like.

I spent some time with a family member the past few days. Her apartment was so cold! This person used 3 electric heaters on the floor, because, the heat bills are 120.00 and the apartment heat isnt even on. The office is on the same level. Ill bet thats heated?!. The floors were terribly cold, yes a layer of thin apartment carpet was there. It was as though there wasnt any insulation whats so ever. Everytime we returned, there was a staff members vehicle parked in the handicap spot-by the entrance so we had to use the other disabled spots 4 or 5 spots down. Normally I dont mind walking. But our arms were full of suitcases. One employee guy saw us walking towards the door(arms full of heavy suitcases)and stood outside his vehicle talking on the phone. Did move his truck, no. Did he offer to open the doors, no. I guess chivalry is dead. The electricity went out 4-5 times, had to keep flipping the circuit breaker. The ground could have used some attention-like shoveling & salt. I dont normally give feed back like this. But my stay there was miserable. Oh and I was in miltown for my brothers funeral. So I think Dorothy said it best; theres no place like home.

I live here. Its nice and clean. The only downside is no elevators. I have bad knees and that makes it harder. Everyone is pretty friendly. And before covid they would feed us for free once a month and every friday in lent was a fish fry. Nice perks.

Ive been here for over a year and its been a great experience. Management has been out of my life but always there when I call. The tenants are friendly and generally quiet. The location is just far enough away to be quiet but close enough to get where you want to go and it is on roads well traveled enough to get plowed quickly. The only downsides are the apartments are pretty small and there isnt in unit laundry.

Got ticketed for following instructions they still had posted for what to do after 2 inches of snow fall the night before. The refused to do anything as they changed the rules less than two weeks earlier and only posted it at certain exits. Non of which I use. Still had old rules up over mailboxes day I was ticketed which is the only one I see. If youre going to change the rules post them on your residents doors or give them a call.

Lived here for two years.......Beautiful outside and in. very well kept. quiet & safe community! Management is Very Friendly & Prompt to Assist you should any maintenance/ parking issue arise. landscaping is beautiful in spring & summertime.Cons:I strongly disagree on lease pricing & lack of amenities for the location & size. i feel i pay too much knowing theres other comparably priced apartment complexes offering more amenities.

I ‘v been living at Greenbrook for 11 years. The staff here go out of their way to retain their tenants. They know you by first name. Maintenance matters are taken care of in an appropriate way. The smoke free buildings are a plus for non-smokers.The grounds, parking lot and buildings are kept up. The office keeps you posted on things that might affect you such as a snow storm or when they will be testing the fire alarms etc. The rents are very reasonable when you consider that each unit has a hot and cold water and also cooking gas included and the complex pays the heat. The complex is quiet. The area is very safe and the parking lots and buildings are well lit.

I have lived here 2 years now and love it here! The building Im in everyone is very friendly and we all seem to care about each other as if we were all family! The back of Konkel Park is right outside of my door and lots of things going on there. So theres always something to do or see. Just sitting out with the neighbors feels great! I like that I feel safe here and can talk to the office about anything that might come up. I also love the monthly luncheons! Nice to meet up with neighbors we may not see so often! The sad thing is when people are passing away way too much lately over here in my section. Always sad to see that! My grandchildren love coming over to visit because they also know the neighbors and can feel safe outside also. Maintenance is right on things when requested also. I just really love living here! Love the office people also!

2.5 / 5My initial experience of this complex was quite enjoyable, but as time has gone on I have become quite displeased with my building. This complex is in a great location in a quite suburb in close proximity to many shopping areas that should meet all your needs, Konkel park is just a short walk for a nice green space, as well as a short drive to the highway for easy commuting. While this is a fairly large complex they do a fair job maintaining it; the buildings are clean and maintenance is quick to get back to emergency repairs. Recently they have been renovating some of the units to update materials, mainly in the kitchen, as well as doing some exterior work. Overall, the buildings look nice from the exterior and at first glance. That is about where the positives end.Upon moving in and seeing my unit for the first time it appeared nice at the first glance. While moving in furniture I noticed that the floor in my living room is sunken in the middle, walking from the window towards the kitchen it is perceptible if you are paying attention. This unique.. uh... feature created some difficulty when trying to level furniture, some required shims, others such as my bookshelf needed to be secured to the wall behind to prevent it from being too unstable. There is a significant crack near an exterior wall, near the ceiling. It appears as though this crack had previously been filled in but over the course of my 2 year residency here has reopened. The apartments do have AC in the living room but in the off months, it is quite drafty; this past winter I did have ice building on the walls around my AC during very cold spells. I also did have water leaking in through my ceiling as large amounts of snow melted on the roof which has stained my walls and a spot on my carpet, as well as ruined a stack of papers which I had on my counter. As mentioned previously, maintenance is quick to respond to emergency calls (there is supposed to be 24 hour emergency maintenance on grounds at all times which is nice), however, some non-emergency requests have required reminding the leasing office, others have gone unanswered (they are so minor though that I havent bothered reminding them). For winter be sure to clean your shoes as best you can before entering your apartment as they use a ridiculous amount of salt, so much so that you could probably reuse the salt that dries on your floor or doormat. Additionally, you need to move your car by a certain time for large snow storms. While you are required to move, there is the chance that it could be hours before they actually make it around to start snow removal. One occurrence this past winter it took two days for them to actually finish snow removal. My biggest complaint however, is that the walls are very very thin; they may as well be made of paper. Maybe my neighbors just always talk extremely loud but if you want peace and quiet, get lucky and have good neighbors, find a comfortable set of ear plugs, or look elsewhere (you should be quite comfortable here if you are hard of hearing). I can hear almost everything my neighbors are doing, talking is somewhat muffled, but any excited shouting (such as a sports fan next door), doors closing, water running, squeaking beds and grunts and groans are all quite audible. Unfortunately I have become so tired of the constant disturbances that I have resorted to sleeping on my couch as it is the most central location in my unit so noise levels are acceptable. If you are not bothered by noise or are accustomed to sleeping on your couch you may be happy here as well.My complaints arent so much the management but the actual construction of the building which, in my opinion, is sub par for the rent you pay (which does increase every year or so). I do not know if these issues are unique to my building but if you can tolerate them, you can probably make this a nice home.

Terrible experience in this apartment complex. People chain smoke and its so packed it goes right into your apartment. Management does not care about your health of living in second hand smoke. Parking is terrible. Horrible choice would not recommend it at all. If you have any sense youll go somewhere else.

Our home for more than 5 years! Staff there have always been lovely and kind to us. Almost a year or two back, there were some changes in the management and things were getting a little rude and disappointing. But chris is a polite and kind staff. Its very close to konkel park, library, aldi, walgreens, elementary school and high school. We were literally 10 mins of walk away from everything we wld need. They had lots of trees and benches in lawns at a lot of places throughout the apartment, and we loved it.Maintenance guys were good at what they do and they had a fix for almost any issue almost immediately! They had heat and cooking gas included in the rent!
