We had our wedding reception and dinner at Riverside and from beginning to end it was amazing. Ken went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us he made suggestions made sure everything was ready at the right time and was available throughout the night. We were the old couple and he took special care of us. Thank you Ken . We will send our grandkids your way.

Had a good time.. but the dj rude! And the chairs are cheap plastic.. not meant for heavy set people.. but if you ask the amazing bar trended for a different one they will be glad to help out.. was over all pleasing.. extremely clean and beautiful setting.. will definitely be booking for my next big event!!

We chose Riverside Ballroom for our large wedding reception (300+ guests). After visiting and considering many venues, we selected Riverside for their inclusive packages, size, aesthetics, good food, and friendly staff. Ken and his team were helpful and accommodating throughout the planning and lead up to the wedding. The day of team was attentive and efficient. The space was clean and precisely set for our event. This included flexibility in their schedule to allow for early set up. The venue while older has the charm and elegance of yesteryear. We would recommend Ken and the Riverside Ballroom to other couples in search of a beautiful, unique, and historic venue.

As a long time, since 1993 Green Bay area DJ service owner I really enjoy working at the Historic Riverside Ballroom for weddings. Ken the owner is a great guy, I have know him for over twenty years. And the delicious chicken.. what more can be said about the Riversides famous chicken....

I’ve been to many events here and have had my own personal event here! When I graduated college my family threw me an awesome surprise party at Riverside Ballroom. Ken the owner and the staff are so great and always wanting to help out! I just stood up in a wedding this past weekend that held their reception at Riverside Ballroom and it was a blast! Definitely choose this place for your next big event! Also the chicken and knee caps are to die for!!!

Best family style chicken dinner in town

My son had his wedding at this place on 10/03/2020. The owner of this place is so cheap and sloppy, yet very greedy. He refused to offer tap water to our guests. He said his water bill was $600 and refused to provide water. AFter a few arguments with him and we refused to buy his bottle water and beers, he agreed to provide us tap water. He also refused to offer trash bin so the guests can put trash in it. He did not clean his bathroom and change any trash in the toilet. The men and womens bathroom were disgusting, paper towels were all over the floor. His chairs and tables were dusty and disgusting. This place reflects the attitude of the owner, poor quality yet very greedy for more of your money. I would not recommend this place for wedding or other banquet.

Speaker system was loud and crackling, needs updating. Things are being held up with tape... Its alright for it being east side of Green Bay. Their chicken dinner is very good though.

I just had my wedding at Riverside Ballroom and it was the absolute best experience! I could not have asked for a better team to work with there. The staff was responsive to my needs, last minute changes, questions, and creative ideas. They went above and beyond to make sure my day was special and that it ran smoothly, especially during a pandemic. I had not a single issue during the entire planning aspect of my event and the day of my event was without incident because of Ken Tedford’s willingness to go above and beyond. My family and friends raved about the chicken and the tenderloin tips were melting in everyone’s mouths! I would hands down recommend Riverside Ballroom to anyone who is looking for a memorable and incredible experience!

My daughter was just married on Saturday.Ken from Riverside was so incredibly accommodating to our family and friends. It is not the first time I have utilized this venue. Ken has helped coordinate 2 events for me during a pandemic. He and his entire staff went above and beyond to make my daughters wedding celebration an EPIC event. We started our celebration in the smaller carriage room where we had happy hour and hors d’oeuvres and live musicWe transitioned into the ballroom for the reception following which was absolutely perfect. I have not one single complaint about Riverside BallroomI would highly recommend this to anyone considering any type of celebrationThank You Ken and all staff from the bottom of our hearts!

I went to the grand ballroom to sell at a craft show. It was beautiful, the bathrooms were sparkling clean.

We attended my nephews ordination in July, at the Riverside Ballroom. It was fantastic! The meal was great, and hot! I would highly recommend this venue .

The Riverside Ballroom team made our wedding day so special. From the owner to the waitstaff, the bartenders and the security guard. All the staff was friendly, outgoing, professional, personable and very caring. Riverside Ballroom went above and beyond to make our day unforgettable to us and our guests. Everyone felt welcomed and comfortable. Ken and his team are very passionate about their service that they are always thee most recommended establishment in the Green Bay area. Once again Riverside Ballroom made our day a day that will never be forgotten.

Went for a friends wedding and the people working there were rude and unprofessional. A lady used her bare hands to grab a piece of chicken and when we asked for water the man gave us attitude and didnt give us water. Very unsatisfactory and very unprofessional. We will not be returning or recommending this place. Truly disappointed.

I attended a friend’s wedding and they had their venue here. There were many things that bothered me with this venue:1) there is currently a pandemic happening, yet this venue with two ballrooms had BOTH ROOMS rented out for THE SAME NIGHT. There was absolutely no social distancing happening.- because of the pandemic, my friends had to change their wedding date and this venue would not allow my friends to schedule the date for next year AND THUS, having I’m sure 200+ people in both rooms- I’m sure if my friends hadn’t asked for all their guests to bring AND WEAR their face masks during the wedding at all times unless eating or drinking, I’m sure the venue wouldn’t have even cared about the health and safety of everyone. EVEN WHILE BEING LOCATED IN BROWN COUNTY, one of the hotspots for COVID-19.2) the chairs and tables that we were sitting at were very unstable and not sturdy. The chair that I was sitting on felt like it would break in half every time I sat down. The tables were very unstable, one lean over to pass food and it’s like the table would topple over.3) the food. Ahh yes the food. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY THAT WAS SPENT ON IT. I feel so bad for my friends because they paid $27 per plate on food that was too mushy, too sticky, unsalted and some food even cold. I poured salt, black pepper and butter on the corn and mashed potatoes and still tasted so very bland.- I will however give them credit for the fried chicken, that was delicious- but I did see another guests who had a breast piece of chicken and it was STILL PINK INSIDE- there was a woman serving the food and she grabbed a piece of chicken WITH HER BARE HAND, WITH NO GLOVES.I would definitely not recommend this place for a wedding or any other celebration or event.

It needs a bit of up dating...had my wedding reception there 30 years ago and it looks pretty much the same. Love the venue, location and people. The decor and food needs an update.

I cant say enough about how accommodating Ken and his staff were to work with. They were not only very helpful before covid 19, but during and up to the wedding they were excellent to work with. Ken repeatedly calmed my fears, telling me I could cancel at anytime. Anytime!! We did end up having the wedding and Riverside made all the adjustments to deal with covid. We felt very comfortable there. They even upgraded us to individual serving of chicken cordon bleu with no extra charge. No extra charge!!! Our guests could not say enough about how good the meal was! The servers at the meal were right on top of things. I could go on and an about how great these people were to work with but when these reviews get to long, people dont read them!! Thanks again Ken!!!

We had our daughters wedding at Riverside on Saturday, August 10 and it was an amazing day!! I can’t say enough about Ken, Ashley, and the rest of the staff at Riverside. The food was delicious, the staff helpful, and the venue was beautiful!!! Ken and Ashley were very helpful and accommodating in making sure my daughter had the wedding of her dreams! We recently had our sons wedding there and as anticipated everything was excellent. The food was great, service was prompt and friendly, plus we received a lot of compliments from those attending. During the evening, management checked with us about how things were going which was very much appreciated. Riversides one room facility is the best, it keeps the crowd in one place, as everything they want is right there which adds to the festivities. We have had all three of our childrens weddings there and they were all great.Good job to everyone at Riverside !!Judy & Don

We held my husband’s 80 birthday celebration here. We could not have chosen a better place. Everything was so grand from the historic building itself to the room’s atmosphere and lay out, to the food and gracious staff. Thank you to the Riverside for helping make this day so memorable !

I really enjoy this place. Its not fancy, but the broasted chicken is always good, and the drinks are relatively cheap. The connection with the infamous Winter Dance Party is really cool!

Really nice. Was just there for a banquet of 700 plus people. They did outstanding! Food is always great here. Love the nostalgia of this place..been here for Winter dance party a couple times..just a great nugget of gold in Green Bay.

I was there for awedding and was amazed at the place. The food was good and you got a lot. It was decorated nicely. Spacious. Staff was nice. Bathrooms were clean. Also I found in the bathroom Bobby pins and pony tail holders and deodorant and Kleenex. Things you could use while at a wedding and dont think of. Plenty of parking

Great place for any occasion. We attended a banquet and everything went very smooth. The wait staff was wonderful, the food was set up family style and was great as always.

The place is alright, your typical ballroom atmosphere. Nothing really stood out above the ones Ive been to in the past. The staff was friendly though and the food was good but they started taking away the food way too fast though. I wasnt even done eating and they were already clearing the plates off the tables.

Ken was GREAT to work with!! He made things so easy and I really had nothing to worry about! The food was fantastic as usual! Waitstaff and bartenders were super nice/friendly! Our guests had a great time! Would definitely recommend them!!!

I had my wedding reception there last night...the food is amazing (if there was a better word than that, I would use it)! Ken and the staff are so nice and wonderful to work with, they even sent us home with leftovers. They are always available to answer questions and help in any way they can. I cannot say enough about this place, but trust me that you would not be disappointed if you would use them for an event!

The Riverside is an absolute gem! As a business owner of almost 10 years the quality and cleanliness of the Riverside has been a treat. I have no ownership nor am I contracted to/with the Riverside Ballroom, but I must admit using them as a venue has been financially beneficial. There is a nostalgia and aesthetic to the building that can not be created through “new” construction. During the holiday season, for four nights, the ballroom staff served over 1000 (individually plated) meals to my customers and there wasn’t a single food complaint. That is amazing! Don’t take my word for it. Experience the Riverside Ballroom again for yourself. Time after time I have gotten rave reviews from my customers regarding their service, food quality and cleanliness.

Was attending a train trade show. The event grows for the better every year. Riverside always comes through. Bought some chicken to go on my way out!

We contracted Riverside Ballroom in 2014 for our family reunion and they exceeded our expectations. So when it came time to celebrate our 50th year Wedding Anniversary we knew we could count on then for this special event. The service was exceptional we were treated like family. The food was excellent. The atmosphere met all our needs and wants. The price was reasonable therefore we rate them on the top of our list. 5 + star all the way!!

Decent venue. It was really hot and humid outside so there was really no hope for the AC. Other side of ballroom was easy to hear. Food was ok. Beautiful place though.

Went there for a large Holiday Party.We were one of the last tables served. ...The outside part of the streak was so hard and chewy (it was like eating leather) and then the inside was so raw (it was like the cow had just been slaughtered and put on front of me).Also Ive never been to a place where the drinks were so costly and so little booze was put in the drink. At least make up for the high cost and put in more alcohol.

Went to a wedding reception here. Very nice atmosphere and the beef tips are to die for. Coming from KC this is some of the best Ive had outside of KC. Highly recommend this place.

Food was okay, but it was extremely hot and they refused to turn down the A/C or even turn on the ceiling fans for us. Drinks were pricey. Could not hear speeches because you could hear the wedding next door through the dividing wall and it was very loud.

Went for a wedding reception:Food was horrible. Potatoes had zero flavor, stuffing had the consistency of paste and I tried 2 desserts, both of which had raw dough.It was 85° and there was no air conditioning. The ceiling fans had huge chunks of dust and dirt on them. The chairs felt like they were going to give out when you sat down.There was one bartender and the place does not accept credit cards. To get a drink you have to go use their ATM first. A small soda was $2.Now I know why I havent been there in over a decade.

Historic ballroom hosts all types of events from concerts to weddings. Food is decent, bar is large to host large events. Decor is beautiful.

Tried to schedule an event through the main manager that deals with banquet halls. Cut me off the entire time and were very rude. Assumed that my group that wanted to have an event here were trashy and declined service over the phone.

Was here for a wedding and it had a really nice open area for the tables and bar area. There was a section for everyone to do their own thing with their friends.

Classic dance and banquet hall in Green Bay. I have attended any functions here but it classic is becoming very dated at this point. Although the food is what marks this as a very popular and desirable location.

Attended a funeral lunch here. Chicken was tasty but the rest of the sides (potatoes, stuffing, gravy) werent very good and were kind of cold.

For all the pomp and history that this historic location, the Ballroom has severely fallen from grace. The secondary hall for weddings is in shambles; lights are broken, the floors need repair, the bathroom is abysmal. The Bartenders were incredibly rude save for one young asian fellow. I was shocked at the state of disrepair, the lack of courtesy, and the overall poor feeling of the place. I DO NOT recommend Riverside Ballroom for weddings.

Our Saviour Lutheran Church used Riverside for our 75th anniversary dinner. From the beginning, we were treated very well. They were willing to do whatever they could to accomodate us. Went to watch my granddaughter compete in MMA comprtition cage fight...I was impressed ! The crowd went wild as she took down her opponent and won in 23 sec. with strkes and an armbar!!! So proud of you Lily!!!! ♡
