Our repairman was awesome, our dishwasher has had so many issues, and they couldnt get parts. We are under the protection plan, and we got a new dishwasher, which under the contract says, deliver, install and remove old dishwasher It was delivered June 18, dropped in my dining room, and the delivery guys said the installer would be there within 2 hours. We have called daily, and are told someone would call in 24-48 hours, NO ONE HAS CALLED....we email daily and call daily, I still have a dishwasher sitting in my dining room...TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!
As service to Samsung refrigerators is hard to come by, I found Sears works on them. The appointment was scheduled in a timely fashion, the technician was knowledgable & courteous. He was able to get the fridge portion (freezer was working fine) functioning while parts were ordered. Parts came in less than a week, they were installed and everything is working great again! Ii would highly recommend using Sears Appliance Repair.
The service tech determined on 4/9/21 that the wires to the ice maker are broken and that the freezer door needs to be replaced. We have the Master Protection warranty. Best Warranty, says Service Tech. We have not heard from Sears, other than they are looking into the part so they can fix it on 4/26/21! ( The 4 in 4/9/21 means April, its now July! ) The choice of 1 star does not reflect on the Tech, this is on Sears, and I had to have a star to post.
The service technician, Mike, called ahead to confirm when he was coming. He wore a mask the whole time he was in the house. Mike warned me not to use the dryer until the glue cured. The seal he replaced in the dryer looked perfect and the dryer is running great now. Thanks, Mike!

My tech was excellent. He checked and tested several things to determine the issue. He then disassembled and cleaned the dryer before reassembling it and testing the results. Ill use them again if I have an issue.
Had a technician come in for a washer repair. While the repairs were completed just fine, the technician was not hygienic and I had to sign for service using my finger on his dirty phone. These are definitely not good practices with COVID-19 risks. I paid for the services that day and the charges came through on my credit card statement but I now received a bill saying I owe the full balance. It took some time to find a way to talk to a live person who took my information. He said they have no record of my payment and will investigate but nothing has been resolved as of yet.
Mike was excellent. Knowledgeable, respectful, efficient. Sears, on the other hand, ruined the experience. It took Mike fifteen / twenty minutes to repair the machine but it took over a half hour to pay!No wonder Sears is struggling. Under the guise of protecting me from hackers, the check-out process uses a combination of outdated computers, a pencil, a telephone, and a live operator on the back end confirming my identity. I was actually handed the phone to talk with the supervisor/warden. I felt like I went back in time about 30 years.The company appears not to trust their employees, asking me if Mike told me about Sears home warranty, which at first glance, appears overpriced, and then started into a second sales pitch after I told Mike I would think about it.This is the only large company that I have seen that does not swipe the credit card and say goodbye.Too bad. DO Not hire this company they will just rip you off. Tech was at our house for 10 minutes did not figure out the problem and still charged $100. Afeful customer service as well!Update: Was told they don’t refund diagnostics then was told I wasn’t charged by the people who responded to this review then I was sent a bill for $100. Again do not hire this company by the time they do the repair you will be better off buying new.
MY technican, Kelly, was very efficient and informative. Rate him 5 stars. However, I did not receive the receipt for the LG refrigerator. Got 2 for the Kenmore freezer. Need to get your phone system corrected. It took me over an hour to find the right website and apply for the 25% discount on the part he ordered me. His phone would not apply the discount.

Do not have your appliance repaired by Sears Home Services. Our kenmore elite dishwasher started leaking terribly and they charged $322 and made no progress in stopping the leaks. Technician guessed as to the problem and only replaced the door gasket which was not the problem. They would not stand by the repair when I filed within the 90 service warranty. Had one service agent grant us a refund, but it never came. A 2nd service agent claimed that since service was done there is no refund, regardless of warranty or actually anything being fixed. A third agent put us on hold, then pretended to be the manager and was caught. They do not care about doing the job right or overcharging people. Go local repair guy.
Service was at time we were told, technician was courteous, efficient, and had some good advice for preventive maintenance. He went over the appliance in general, in addition to fixing the problem for which he was called. It was extremely hot the day he was here; he was nonetheless cheerful and courteous. I expect my washer to perform as it should for a good long time. Such peace of mind.
The repair man came on time - calling first. He was very courteous. He diagnosed the problem quickly. When the part came in - he called and set up an installation date and he installed the new part. My dishwasher runs like new again. He was a wonderful guy.
The Sears service technician was professional, polite and friendly. He told us what needed repair on our Kenmore water heater and how much the repair would cost. This seemed extremely high, especially in light of the fact that the Sears guarantee included free parts. But, he was already here in our home (a $79 charge) and had diagnosed the problem, and we had already been without hot water for more than 24 hours since we first contacted Sears service. We didnt know how long it would take to find an independent serviceman, nor how much the needed part would cost. We felt trapped, so we swallowed hard and gave the Sears serviceman the go-ahead. When we paid the bill and looked at the receipt, we were appalled. To install a free thermocouple, which took less than an hour, we were charged $79 for a diagnostic fee, $106 for installation, and $42.50 for PM Add On, Tech (CC only) (whatever that is). The total labor charge for one hour was $227.50. This is close to three times as much as service/repair people charge in our area. We expected to pay between $80 and $100 for labor. We feel that we were taken advantage of at a vulnerable moment, and Sears has broken trust with us. We have been loyal Sears customers. The overwhelming majority of our appliances in houses we have owned over 46 years have been Sears/Kenmore brand. Besides being extremely over-charged, we have been sadly under-appreciated.
Tom has worked on my riding mower many times for routine tune-ups and the change of seasons (adding/removing the snow thrower) and he has been absolutely superb every time.Hes personable, on-time and his knowledge is only surpassed by his skill set. He has always been a pleasure to work with and Id recommend him to anyone.
I can not relay any negative statements about the Sears Home Service. The gentleman, that did our service call, was polite, respectful, and stated what our problem was. He even petted our dogs! A really nice young man and knowledgeable as well. We were pleased and so were our critters!
I was pleased with the repair service the second time as the first gentleman sent didnt seem to know what he was doing and we had to call again and requested someone else. When he came he took the parts out and put them in properly as he said they were not right and it has worked fine since.
This was a yearly maintenance check. The tech arrived on time and performed the check quickly and efficiently.I would prefer that Sears offer a four hour window for scheduling instead of expecting customers to be home all day.
I had a very nice person sent to me by Sears to repair my machine. He arrived well within the time frame given and even called before he was coming, so I knew when to expect him. He worked quickly and did a good job!
Sears repair window was four hours. Serviceman arrived in five hours. After main office figured it out, the right part was shipped to us a week later and the service man could install it. He was great. Prompt. Efficient. Pleasant. Predictable Sears delays.

Called for refrigerator and dryer repairs. Refrigerator fixed and running fine. Dryer needed a new motor, which has been ordered and will be replaced within a week. Service person Dick was outstanding. Very knowledgable.
We had our washing machine repaired by the Sears Appliance Repair and have been completely satisfied with the service. The repairmen were courteous and very knowledgeable about the machine they were repairing. I would recommend them to anyone who needed service from Sears.

I am so glad to have this opportunity to rate and review Craig(?) I contacted Sears repair for, I believe, the 5th time. Previously we had numerous technicians attempt to resolve the issue. Yesterday, I felt your technician involved me in the entire process of discovering the problem with my water softener. His explanation was simple and understandable. After he left my home, I truly believed with his assistance, the problem with the water softener is solved
They were able to come out within an acceptable time. They found the problem, had to order a part. They scheduled a return date, had the part shipped to the house and fixed it on the next trip. Very happy with all that I had contact with, very professional.
This was just a yearly checkup because we paid for the extended service agreement. Was a bit disappointed that the repairman did not look under the hood. He gave some good advice about soap and loading but basically just ran a quick rinse and said I used too much soap. Did not look into the machines workings to see if springs, belts and whatever were looking good. Kind of a waste of time actually.
SAD THAT SUCH A GOOD STORE HAS COME TO THIS.. DONT AND WONT SHOP THERE ANYMORE... TOO MANY THINGS ARE DISCONTINUED WITH NO PLACE TO FIND PARTS WHEN NEEDED... I LIKE TO GO IN AND SEE WHAT I AM BUYING... TO MANY STORES ARE CLOSED...
It turned out to be an obvious problem and afterwards we felt guilty about not finding it ourselves and for calling the repairman. He was gracious, professional and didnt make fun of us when he discovered what was wrong.

My refrigerator was first scheduled for repair and SEARS rescheduled it without my knowledge. I had to schedule again and explained that the light was out in the freezer and my filters needed to be replaced. She indicated that a maintenance appointment would take care of that. The appointment was booked with my microwave repair on August 10th. The microwave needed more parts and the service person only opened the freezer and shut it. No other maintenance was performed. My daughter was home at the time, I was not. I am still frustrated and cannot seem to get another appointment because when I called the system was down. Not happy with the movement of my appointments. I had several appliances scheduled to save on time so that I could arrange my time to be present.
Cost was absurd!! Was at home 15-20 min and just wiggled one wire and cost was $252.50 that is robbery, I don’t mind paying for services but that is absurd!!!!!!
A difficult repair since the cook-top was no longer carried and the repair parts were hard to find. But your service man kept at it and the cook-top works great.Thanks

This is about the 7th time my dryer has required service for the same defect. Always seem to have to pay for something though. Dryer was scratched and the wall next to the dryer was damaged.
Our service tech was great. Found out the spider was cracked in our washing machine. We decided to purchase a new one instead of the $1200 repair, considering new ones we are looking at are $650

Sears repairman assesed our tv problem and deciphered we needed a new part. Part was ordered and appointment made to replace same. He was very efficient, considerate and timely on both occasions.

The appt. wasnt worth the Call, since when he got here, the only problem why it wasnt Heating was that it was a Gas Dryer, & since bought second hand, we were told All you do is plug it in, not knowing it was Gas instead of electric. So he Didnt have to do Anything, but tell us to buy the gas line & fittings. Which we did for a cost of $28. I sure hope since he was in the area anyway, that were Not Charged for the Service call, to do absolutely Nothing. It was Definitely a Dumbfounded moment when he told us it was a Gas Dryer. 🤪

The technician was very courteous and professional. Unfortunately we had a lot of trouble getting the appointment set up, but that was not the technicians issue.
The servicemen that repaired my dishwasher were very friendly; However the scheduling through this company is horrible. The two times that my appointments were scheduled for were from 8-12 and both times they did not show until after 1:30-2 PM... Not sure why you even schedule these times if they cannot make it within these time frames. I call customer service and am asked if I want to reschedule which I say no as I dont want to have to wait around another day and waste more time of mine. Needless to say I will not purchase any more appliances from Sears nor have a product warranty from them due to this.... I will go elsewhere.

The service person cleaned the fridge from below using a vacuum cleaner and greased the door panels. He refused to move the fridge and clean/service it from behind the fridge as it would be too much of work, even though I requested him to check for any water leakage. I dont think I got the value for the amount of money I paid for a 5 year service contract.
Had a part installed on my rider mower and now the steering wheel is crooked.
After two phone calls to get a serviceman here, the problem still is not resolved.

Microwave - check, heated water to test temperature, looked at vent, said it was clean and that was it. Man said he did not have the proper equipment for testing.
