Our air conditioner stopped working and our thermostat went blank. We called Bay Area Services and they sent Brian out to troubleshoot the problem. After a short period of time Brian located a blown fuse. After replacing the fuse the system started performing as it should. Brian was still concerned that the fuse had blown and thought it could be a low voltage short. Brian checked the wires that could be seen and could not locate any wires that were bad so we concluded that it was a freak happening.Well, after a few days we left for vacation and returned six days later and the air conditioner was out and the fuse was blown again. I immediately called Bay Area services. They sent Brian out that afternoon. Brian went through all the wiring, tore the air conditioner apart and located where mice had chewed on the wires. Brian repaired the wires. Brian worked over two hours to find the problem and repair the wiring.Since this was a call back we were informed that there’s no cost to us.If you are looking for a honest, professional and reliable Heating and Air Conditioning service I highly recommend Bay Area Services. Right from the start…they were GREAT! Steve the sales rep sat down and explained everything…best hour and a half explaining the systems I was getting. Other guys just dropped off estimates and left. The installers were on time and very professional. I am recommending your company to anyone that needs a new AC and furnace.
Friendly, knowledgeable sales and service staff. Our AC went out when the temps were in the 90s and someone came out that same day to fix it. Our unit was 20 plus years old so it was time for a new one. We were very happy with both the sales and service staff when we purchased a new unit.
Bay Area Services reached out to me as they are the subcontracted group by the local Home Depot. Everything was flawless from start to finish. Mike, the sales tech, arrived right on time and immediately I could tell he was the honest type. We chatted about everything and then he helped me choose the best furnace and AC unit to replace my 33 year old system (which was still working). At no point did I feel like Mike was trying to take advantage of me and sell me on an upgrade that wouldnt have beneficial. He laid out everything and told me why he would recommend certain units versus others and ultimately did not push anything. In the end, I chose to go with a 2 stage furnace which was slightly more expensive. Mike was wonderful and I could not have met a better sales tech.As for the installation group, they were equally as great. They were right on time and I headed to the office while they did the installation work. When I got back, they had everything removed and installed and had even put down a blanket to avoid getting my carpet on my stairs dirty. In the end, they cleaned up everything perfectly and also showed me how to use my new wi-fi thermostat.This group is top notch and they are what you look for when you are purchasing a big install like a furnace and AC unit.

Received a quote from bay area and decided to go with them even though they were rather expensive. After installation was done they charged me close to a grand more because of unforeseen circumstances. I argued that the quote they provided (which was only two weeks old) said once price but they demanded that I paid them the extra. I dont know how this is legal. Buyer beware
Had bay area install a new trane a/c unit just 2 short years ago. Come home during a heatwave to a scorching hot house. Called Bay Area heating and cooling, told me it was $100 to come out. When they did they told me that the AC unit was installed improperly and that the repair bill would be $300! I asked about the warranty and they said it only covers parts not labor. The fact that they themselves installed it wrong seems to be lost on them. This company is a scam, stay away.
I was very pleased with my service here. The gentleman who helped us was friendly, and was happy to answer questions I had! We had a concern after the first time they came out and they made certain to get someone here right away to check it out and resolve . Customer service was amazing, and I would highly recommend!
We called for a quote and someone was out the next business day. Steve Graham was our sales guy. He was very knowledgeable about our old current system. He gave us all the option from most expensive, moderate and basic. I felt absolutely no pressure. He was also very patient with our 2 year old who kept interrupting our meeting. Within 10 day our new furnace and A/C was installed. Techs who came to install were friendly. They explained about going in and out of the home. They also made sure to close the gate to our fence each time they walked out so our puppy wouldn’t escape!
Had hired bay area heating and cooling to installed a new furnace, a smart thermostat, an expensive air filter, and whole home humidifier on April on 2015. On September of 2020 called bay area to come to my house because literally EVERYTHING wasnt working for all seperate reasons. My thermostat isnt able to do software updates, my traine clean air effects air filter has error codes flashing on it, and both my humidifier and furnace wouldnt power on. A tech came out, found out that the humidifier was leaking and disconnected it and replaced a fuse in the furnace that had blown because of the leak. The tech didnt address the air filter, thermostat, and didnt fix the humidifier. The tech said he needed to check on my warranty (supposed to be 10 years) and charged me $100+ and promised hed call me back. Well we are about 8 months later and bay area wants to charge me to come to my house to look at the issues even though I already paid that fee once, oh and they cant guarantee that there wont be costs.
Much warmer in house. Comfortable. Very quick installation. Guys were nice. When they came in summer to repair central air very quick and reasonably priced to get through one last summer
Impressed from start to finish! My first call to Bay Area was from a polite professional lady who followed through with everything she said- I regret not remembering her name and sorry for that! She set up an appointment with Mike since he was going to be in the Rapids area and it was only a couple days. Mike beat me to my house and was another polite and very professional man. He knew his task, his product and his role representing his company. He took many photos, measurements, asked me where a truck could park etc. What most impressed me was his goal to suit our needs, not just sell an air conditioning unit with frills I didn’t need or want. His quote was thorough and very fair. I scheduled the job with Mike and was contacted a day later with install date options and only 9 days out! Matt came this morning right on time and like mentioned above, impressed with him also. He was clean, extremely organized, knowledgeable of his job and project and very efficient. Everyone from sales to technician have been very nice, incredibly knowledgeable, and fun to interact with. There was no pressure to up-sell on products. Arrived on time the day of installation. Overnight an issue came up, and I called them first thing in the morning. Within hours, they had a technician at my house working on it. That afternoon the issue hadnt been resolved, and again within an hour that same day they had another technician at my house and the issue was resolved.You never know for sure how good a company is when everything goes right. You learn a LOT about a company when something goes wrong. Bay Area Services responded to my issue FAST and on the same day. Thats the mark of a great company who stands by their products and services.I wont hesitate to use them again in the future.
Had a great experience with this company. Tim, the salesman, was good at explaining everything about the different Air Conditioners and Furnances. The installers were on time and were professional. They explained all that they did during the install process and when the job was done they explained how to use the thermostat and what filters need to he changed each year along with what store to get them at. They also explained when to tune the units up each year. Overall, we had a great experience with Bay Area Services.

My family had Bay Area Services install a new high efficiency furnace at our home end of November. I wanted to give it some time before I authored a review. We Purchased a Trane Furnace, with a new whole home humidifier, upgraded filter and smart thermostat.The High efficiency furnace is quite an upgrade to our previous unit. The main difference is the noise it makes. These fan on this system is always on and circulating the air, that being said unless youre sitting next to a register you cannot hear it. We have also noticed less swing in temperature. The smart thermostat is a nice feature, we havent used the full capabilities, but I anticipate using these features more in the summer. As in the winter we tend to stay at the same temperature.We cannot recommend Bay Area Services enough after the service we received and continue to receive. From the quote, to the follow up and the installation the process was seamless and I feel comfortable knowing the system was installed properly. Outside of the furnace, Bay Area Services handled warranty registration, all rebate forms including my salesperson personally delivering the first rebate check right before Christmas.While there might be places that will sell lower, you can be assured that Bay Area will take every step to make sure your furnace is installed properly and safely.

Install was done clean and quiet. he was thorough in explaining thermostat use. thermostat a bit complicated and has lots of options.
The service technicians were fantastic, but when I did experience an emergency and my furnace wouldn’t shut off, I regretted having to deal with technicians in Green Bay who couldn’t get to Rhinelander in time late in the day on a Friday. I ended up having to use a local company and paying close to $350 for the fix which was not reimbursed even though I was under warranty. I would rethink having service technicians out of my area in the future. Other than that I am very happy with the product and the service that I have received.

Everything went smooth from sales to installation and system was up and running in 92F heat. I ended up getting Trane for longevity and better quality, plus Nexia app is a great tool being able to control system anywhere, anytime. Highly recommended.

Due to the fact that our installation was going to be challenging, I had many questions and when the installers arrived they addressed my concerns and explained things carefully. They were very professional especially given the fact it was not a typical install. I would highly recommend them to others looking to have this type of work done!

Our heat went out on a Thursday night, Current furnace was 31 years old so I called Bay Area Services for an estimate. They were at my house within an hour. Their pricing was fair and I wanted a Trane System. Discussed with Jack, very honest and friendly guy, that I really needed heat for the weekend and couldn’t wait until Monday. Jack arranged for Saturday installation. Matt and Joel were here at 8 am; we had a new furnace by lunch. Installers were very knowledgeable and professional. Our house is now nice and warm. Terrible experience with this company!!!!One problem after another.. started when we built our home and they improperly installed our heating/ boiler system which set off a chain of events of multiple issues. Finally got smart and found Better Homes heating and cooling. Like their commercial goes....there goes another bay area service truck HA!!! its so true!!!!

Where to start?* FIRST OF ALL, I want to point out the only good review of them on Yelp is by A CURRENT EMPLOYEE! He even states it at the end of his review. Thats right. They have a CURRENT EMPLOYEE PUTTING UP GOOD REVIEWS FOR THEM. Also, most of the good reviews on google are vague and only 1 or 2 sentences. I doubt most or all of these are really customers or have every even used them. That should give you and idea of who they are!I hired Bay Area Services Heating & Cooling to put in new HVAC including Ductwork.1. They DIDNT DO IT TO CODE so It DIDNT PASS INSPECTION and so they TRIED TO GET ME TO PAY MORE TO GET IT TO PASS INSPECTION. When I told Jack B about it he tried saying I instructed to do it that way. First of all, I dont do HVAC which is why I hired them in the first place. Its not my job to know or make sure its to code its theirs! Plus, the first item that didnt pass, they decided. I will update this in the near future and add emails, details and pictures but thats a pretty big one!The best part of his response is his claim that I instructed him to go against code?!# What? Really, so a) he means to tell me if I tell him to do something against code he will? Had I known that I wouldve chosen something better than locating the AC in the wrong spot...seriously. b) If he knew what he was doing or what the workers were doing he would know it wasnt going to pass and wouldnt have told them not to put it there. This guys responses are so ridiculous. Instead HE TRIED TO MAKE MONEY ON THEIR MISTAKE!2. Absolutely every step of the process was a nightmare. They cut 2 holes in my hardware floors in the upstairs bedroom where you can see down through to the living room and left them their without anything. Not even a vent cover. When I asked about them Jack B tried saying it was because of layout due to a chimney. Not true! I asked them if they could get started on things that needed to be done regardless of whether the chimney had work on it or not and he said they could. They just screwed up and left it there.3. When I did the walk through with one of their guys, I pointed out that a few things before we even get to the city inspection:First of all, There was a huge 2 inch gap around a pipe in the basement wall where they ran a line to the AC unit. So, kind of defeats the purpose of HVAC if the outside air is flowing freely into the house, not to mention all the bugs and whatever else.I pointed that out and was told it would be taken care of. Even after pointing it out, they put a little puddy in the hole but when I checked it again it still had a gap.Second, there were gaps in the ductwork. This is brand new ductwork, it shouldnt have gaps in it! I will say at least that guy then went through and taped a few gaps up but they shouldnt be there to begin with.4. This was new ductwork so they tore some things out and JUST LEFT ALL THE DEMO, WOOD, PLASTER, GARBAGE ETC in a big, big pile. When I asked about it Jack B said they werent going to clean it up.Every thing they did was to ensure they did the least work. Jack B is so unethical it creeps me out. The work done, the process and the response to all the issues is just a nightmare. I will probably have more when I update with pictures.
