The pilot on my 50 year old furnace was out this morning. Suspecting the thermocouple I removed it and took the part to my usual appliance parts location. No luck. Called A&A and their lobby was not open but they told me to call when I got there. They took my old thermocouple up stairs and spent probably 5 minutes looking for something that would work. Did not find the exact same part but they did get me a part that could be easily modified. Nice getting my heater working again and not having to wait for a special ordered part to arrive.
I hired this company a year ago to install a new heater in apartment, $3,000.00..To this date Ive called this company numerous times as this equipment has failed. A&A keeps giving me reasons why the unit is not working, 1. the wind...but theres no wind, and many times unit wouldnt light, 2. They had to call the manufacturer..thats not my problem thats the companys problem they bought the unit..still no fix...and the person in charge back East where A&A purchased unit from was on vacation..even though now were in the coldest months...then I called last week, the women answered the phone and said shell get someone out there at the end of the week as weather is to poor to come out...HELLO I DONT HAVE A HEATER...A YEAR LATER...STILL NOT WORKING..then today A& A came out...now theres a propane smell...Oh,,,,A&A said its normal...NORMAL BECAUSE PROPANE LOW IN TANK...well, well, I called the Propane company...GUESS WHAT FOLKS...NOT ONE LEAK, NOT TWO LEAKS, BUT THREE LEAKS....WHAT THE HELL...and we told them all along, but this company didnt listen...Oh, but they always had a smile on their faces...the thermacuplar (sorry for spelling) still not working properly..fire not regular...on unit...So, question is now....A&A going to say about this...P.S. A&A did say manufacture said to put a wind kit on unit..so A&A did add wind kit but when Propane company came out they said why, theres no wind..its thermocouplar not working properly...this company has been in business for over 30 years...I wonder how they lasted so long, with little explosions coming from heater at night and A&A said it was all normal...Im amazed and deeply sadden that this company didnt do the right thing from the beginning change equipment like I asked or refund my money in full...they did nothing..nothing..and Im very lucky I didnt have an explosion...Now lets see if the change the thermocoupar as propane company said they talk with them...unbelievable...
I literally ordered some flashing that I needed to be made as soon as possible and before I even had paid the fees at the desk, it was already made and waiting for me at my car. I needed this made ASAP because of my framer unable to proceed without these termite flashing pieces, they really came through and I never write reviews unless I am extremely pleased. In this case, I definitely am.Nathan
On time, very professional, no up sales. The staff is amazing!!! It feels so good to know that my propane furnish is in tip top shape!
Owner came to my home to assess my needs for a ductless mini split air conditioner on July 30, 2018. Very polite and professional. His proposal was to be emailed to me. Since I had not received the proposal over a week later, I called and left a message to inquire. Now, August 19, no proposal and no call back. I can only assume he wants me to take my business elsewhere.
A&A had done some fine work fabricating metal for me in the past. Early last spring I called to get a quote on a mini split system. Ben Aguilar came out and did a site inspection and said hed send a bid. Weeks went by and nothing arrived. Then the high temp days came and I knew Id never hear from them again. And thats exactly what happened. Nothing!
I have needed custom sheet metal work from time to time over the last 4 decades. A&A delivers on time and exactly to spec.
A&A has been great at standing by their work. The service representative was on time and able to see problem and fixed it immediately. Would highly recommend them for your needs
A&A Heating and Air Conditioning was hired to re-install a Lennox system, which had been installed incorrectly by a different company. A&A exceeded expectations and expertly installed all the systems, including cooling, heating, humidifier, air purifier, ventilation, and zoning control. Work was completed on schedule by professional technicians, who arrived on time and cleaned up after the job was done. A&A also took care of all the warranty paperwork for each component.
Mark came out on a Saturday and was able to get my air conditioner working right away. He checked my cooling system and made sure it was cooling well before he left. Great service.
The heater went down in our newly purchased house. After dealing with the Home Warranty people taking five days to get the only contractor they work with out here, I decided to call around. A&A was able to get here within an hour. The technician, Jay, was friendly, knowledgeable and had our system up and running again in 30 minutes. Jay got us set up with a service contract that saved us money initially and will in the long term should any HVAC issues come up again. Highly recommend A&A!
My 14 year old AC unit was not cooling the house with temps in the 90s. Called A&A and Mike came out the next day. He checked the filter, and found the evaporator heavily caked with dirt. He also checked for any duct obstructions and cleaned the evaporator and external cooling AC fins with a cleaning solution and water. He also checked the Freon (that stuff is very expensive these days), which it didnt need. The service charge was very fair.Three or so months ago, another company tech (not A&A) simply charged the Freon and charged me $300. No cleaning the internal parts or checking for other air restriction problems (like a clogged evaporator).A&A has been around Grass Valley for decades. I last used them in the 80s. They provided good service then. I wished I had called them first.several months ago. I will now be a permanent customer.
Our family has used this company from the start. over 30 years or more and have NEVER had a poor experience with them - EVER. The last call was an emergency call when a control board went out. They had a tech here in 3 hours, the part had to be ordered, overnight (it was closing in on 4 PM) - and by 9:30 the next morning the part was in place, the furnace worked, and the bill was FAR less that the original estimate. Honest, Reliable, and they have been around long enough that if they were NOT any good, theyd be history by now, esp. with all the fly-by-night new comers to the area -- to make it here you have to be fair and honest or you simply wont survise, though with so MANY new folks in the area, the winnowing down takes FAR ***FAR*** longer than it used to. Stick with real locals, and you wont ever go wrong! - take it from a family thats had land here since the 1850s.
I had an terrible situation where I lost both of my A/C systems on the same day. On top of that it was a weekend and the day before 4th of July! A & A had given their team the holiday weekend off so there was no one on call. I get a call back from Paul and he says my brother and I will be out this afternoon! So two owners show up to help. Service doesnt get any better than that. I am a long time customer and have always had great service but this was over the top! Thanks Guys!
Their website advertises 24/7 emergency service, but I called 3 times on a weekday and ended up waiting almost 2 hours with no call back. When I finally called to say we were taking our business elsewhere I didnt even receive an apology. Terrible customer service.
Jay did a good job for us, updating our system and putting in a Nest thermostat. Would use A&A and Jay again. He came back and replaced a filter that was making noise. No charge.
We called and received service on the same day. The job was completed 1 day later and works fantastic. I would highly recommend them!
Good honest company for all your HVAC needs.
A&A Air conditioning advertises on their website that,They service All makes and models of equipment, and they give Free in home estimates, but when I called them to tell me how much it would cost to repair a furnace that wasn`t working I had to sign a blank work order which the technician took back to the shop to fill out.Three days later the work order I signed came back in the mail as an invoice for $165. When I questioned it I was informed that I had agreed to that price and would be held accountable for it. Since then they have turned the bill over to a collection agency. They never told me that the price would be twice as much as I have had complete maintenance on an a/c system done in the past, just to look at it.
I had an appointment today which I found out they cancelled after calling THEM twice and holding for 5 min plus each time. Not only did they give me no notice of them not being able to make it until AFTER the scheduled appointment time but they were extremely rude. Horrible customer service.
