This place always gives me mixed feelings its a good place to get Aid and help however they need to update some things that theyre doing theyre still a borderline of Aid and services for them but theyre still a Band-Aid for the situation I find the structure to be a little bit outdated I know theyre supposed to be improving in the future and I hope so however theres still some dilemmas on their location and how it definitely disrupts the flow of businesses that which congregate in that neighborhood its hard to stabilize the situation when it continues to push out businesses and I know this from experience from the past as my friend lost its concert venue due to the location that wasnt ideal for the area at the time and also a few other businesses Im sad about that have left on that side of town however hopefully theres a hopeful change in the future that will better the organization and the community as one and come together and create a better overall structure that can benefit both community and nonprofit organizations theyre still doing a good job all in all giving people places to do art that can actually be beneficial however its still up in the air but Im just basing everything by my visual reality that Ive seen throughout the years and through the times Ive been off and on of being homeless and living downtown its always been an uphill battle with that community of services that which dwell in that neighborhood well its still nice to know that they still try to help the best way they can like I said its a double-edged sword kind of situation

Great staff and service.

Heartside Ministries is an organization which has been serving the homeless and the disabled for years. They love the people who gather there for the day. Most of the clientele have nowhere else to go during the day. Heartside Ministries provides shelter, purposeful activity, and education. Last year they graduated nearly 100 people in the GED program. Thats a good size school class. They need you to volunteer to help with the work they are doing. Visit soon and learn how to get involved.

Great drop in place that nearly always has free coffee and occasional food stuffs available.

People....remember...this is a ministry..not the DHS. These people do a wonderful job. They do an exceptional job considering some of what they deal with. Those that have a problem with services,etc. may have brought it on themselves. Heartside staff is limited on assistance for some things but they do their best to help any way they can. I am truly thankful for Heartside in the times when I need a boost on bad days. God bless them all.

My sanctuary in Grand Rapids Michigan. Thank you fellow Artists for a rocky, good run. Walk in neighborhood art studio and the oldest art gallery in Heartside neighborhood, Grand Rapids Michigan. Behave yourself, make art; these are the only rules. Anyone is welcome to shop for artwork, make art, donate supplies, drink coffee and make friends. There is no place like this.
