The accountability of service and arrangements are truly remarkable. The agents used were loyal to work and knowledgeable of dos and don’ts.I would definitely use them again should the need be necessary.Management is also very dependable to make alternative recommendations if needed.

From survey to move-out to storage, the entire University Moving team was great. Since we did our own packing for the most part, we had lots of opportunity to work with many of the employees. To a man they were helpful and lived up to their promises. John and Adam pitched in and worked over the weekend....as did the actual move team, headed by Jason and his phenomenal team. We have moved 14 times over the years....most were company moves. Hands down, this was the best one. Thank you to everyone at University!

We were going to use University moving for our Michigan to Georgia move this coming week. For the first while they were professional and timely but when it came to adjusting our quote and getting final paperwork signed what shouldve been a five minute process took 3 weeks, 5 phone calls, talking with 4 staff members, and no paperwork being emailed over as promised. Unfortunately we had to go with someone else for peace of mind... if you use them, make sure all of your ducks are in a row ASAP!

Kevin was very prompt in getting us a quote. Jeff and Jason were terrific in getting our possessions moved safely across Michigan (loading and unloading) in a single day! We were very pleased. Cant say enough good things about the team.

We have used University Moving & Storage (Grand Rapids, MI location) now for several southwest Michigan photo shoots which required a variety of tasks including packing/unpacking, heavy lifting, moving large, at times odd shaped products and assembling products. My partner and I approached University Moving after our prior Movers had to unexpectedly pause their job with us for the weekend. Despite being last-minute, University Moving was able to hear out our concerns and arrange for two guys to help move the bulk of our belongings the next day. The men who helped us were timely, friendly, and efficient. They took extra care to protect our belongings as well as the locations involved with them. The crew that came to pick up our household goods was very good and did a fantastic job.The crew that brought our household goods from storage was lacking in experience and clumsy while moving into our new home. They banged the door frames and put gouging in the trim. We did not get all of our things and they kept bringing stuff that was not ours. The moving truck leaked oil on my new driveway. They will not clean the driveway because I did not report it within 24 hours. They were here on Friday and I told them on Monday. They are closed on the weekend.It took them over 10 weeks to finalize this to their schedule and little concerns for ours.

Ive moved a few times and University Moving & Storage is by far the best from estimate, pick-up and delivery. My estimator Kevin, did an in home home estimate, called when he was on the way, was punctual, professional, courteous, and accurate. He kept me in the loop throughout the process. My driver Kevin, was great. He gave me a very accurate estimate of when he would be dropping off my things and he was right on time. Everything was brought up and put in place. I got a good nights sleep on my bed,which no longer wobbles. Im now realizing that previous movers had not put it together well. My dining table is also stable; it no longer rocks. I would call them again without hesitation. Thanks!

We had quotes from several moving companies and chose University and are very glad we did. They were innovative on getting the price down. We told them we needed to save $$ on a cross country move and they suggested instead of moving in July and putting our belongings in storage at the destination, storing with them until later in the year and then moving when rates were down. We avoided a storage unit completely- they kept everything until we found our new house, and it was SO much easier and SO SO much cheaper. The crews at both loading and unloading were the best- and I have moved cross country multiple times. They were hardworking and cheerful! Positive attitudes all day despite hot hot weather in Michigan in July and lots of heavy books and equipment for loading. They took great care with our fragile old furniture and antiques and we could not be more pleased. 5 star service. We had one contact (Jessica-absolutely a Star) throughout! She stayed in close contact on both loading and months later on the unloading day, and was available by phone to answer all questions, like, “where’s the dresser mirror brackets?” It made the craziness of moving much smoother and less stressful. I highly recommend this company. They showed up on time, did the job in the time estimated, no surprises on price, weight, time, it was all exactly as explained at the outset. That’s a lot for a complicated move from MI to CA!

We moved from Grand Rapids, Michigan to Reno, Nevada and we are so glad that we decided to do the move with University moving and storage. The movers were extremely professional and did their job perfectly. Our move coordinator Jenna Rae was always very helpful and answered any questions and queries we had. Another important thing to add is that our price went down because our items weighed much less than expected, which was a pleasant surprise for us. Moving is difficult so the better your movers are the less trauma you go through. University Moving did an excellent job for us from the initial estimate to the follow up in our new home. The packers and the driver were not only good guys but very through and took great care with all our possessions. Jessica made sure we knew exactly what and when something was going to happen and was always available when we had a question. If you are lucky you might get Colin for your driver; a great professional and overall nice guy. If you have to move, these are the people to choose.

I decided to add on storage through their company at the last minute, and they were extremely flexible with me. He answered all of my questions, and gave me his information just in case I need more support. The movers, Jim and Mark were fantastic. They were very professional and took great care of my items. They helped me pack my TV away, and wrapped up important items when needed. I am also using this company for a state to state move in the next few months, and I am anticipating experiencing the same service as I have received thus far.

This company did an outstanding job moving my daughter from Grand Rapids to Euclid, OH. They were professional, efficient, and did what they said they would do. University Movers quoted one price that was reasonable as i had everything boxed and packed in a storage facilty. When my stuff was delivered the price was almost $2500 more. Then my inventory list was lost. To add insult Ive found more and more things missing that obviously has been hand picked from my belongs - mostly tools, dvds, etc. unfortunately as my stuff had been stored for a month before delivery there was no way to prove what was stolen without the lost inventory list.other than that the people were polite and punctual for what ever that is worth.

My move across country was an emotional and stressful time; I honestly had no idea what to expect from hiring a moving company. University Moving and Storage were top-notch professionals from start to finish. My moving estimate was seamless and Kevin was very knowledgeable and informative. He reassured I would have an excellent driver and team to move my home from Michigan to Texas. I was contacted several days before my move and updated on the timing of the packing and departure. Brad walked me through step-by-step, leaving no question unanswered.My driver, Tony, arrived as planned (he contacted me the night prior with his arrival time), explaining his process, introducing me to his team and swiftly beginning the task at hand. Tony and his team effortlessly packed my home, paying great attention to every detail (being very mindful of my great-grandmother’s crystal); covering floors, wrapping walls and doors to ensure no damage. All the while, they remained personable and answered my questions. I cannot say enough how awesome this was, as packing my life away in boxes was an emotional struggle. My family’s belongings were loaded, thorough inventor taken and I was again reassured they would be in contact during the journey with estimated arrival date and time. The guys were very professional and quick without lacking in quality. They cloth wrapped our furniture and nothing was damaged in anyway. They even put together my bed without asking!! From quote to end of move it was a smooth and quick process. All I had to do was pack prior to their arrival and then stand there and direct where I wanted things in the new place. University Moving did an outstanding job with our move. We had a 2,000 square ft house moved from Illinois to a storage facility in Milwaukee, WI. Our driver, Chuck, made us feel at ease every step of the way and all our belongings were packed safely and efficiently. I will definitely be referring to anyone interested from now on, well done!

A brutal experience from start to finish. App. 30% of furniture is damaged. DO NOT USE THEM.We decided to use University for a cross country move based on reviews. Kevin was incredibly convincing as he came and did the estimate. There ended all pleasantries.1) They decided to come pack days before the move date. This is fine, but we HAD NO IDEA.2) We were assured about the quality of the air-ride quality of their trucks. Our household was loaded onto a train cart.3) Upon arrival (local crew was very good and apologetic) we find out that essentially half off our boxes are damaged, and much of furniture has scratches, chips, bends, etc. Some boxes are still unaccounted for.We are missing hardware for furniture that was supposed to be re-assembled at our new home. Oh, and I mentioned the train....soo much dust!What is preplexing is how badly everything was packaged and stored, It is almost as extra effort went into making it bad. Some stuff we have repaired, some we are still waiting for a response from University, Kevin, or anyone.Moving is awful--University made it unbearable.I will upload pictures and paperwork soon.

Our driver was exceptional. He monitored his helpers carefully and held them to a high standard. As a result, our belongings were transported coast to coast with zero damage. The office was attentive, also. We received several calls to keep us updated. Highly recommended!

From start to finish, everything went exactly as Kevin and Brad from University said it would. Our driver, Mike, was a rock star! He was a great communicator and all around nice guy to have handling our stuff. He even custom packed a delicate, priceless art sculpture for us and it came through with no problem.

PRICELOCK Guarantee is false advertising. Was contacted the day before scheduled delivery with a final weight that was less than the estimate, but a final price that exceeded the PRICELOCK Guarantee by $1,500. Contacted the Move Consultant, who said the additional cost was due to extra packing of lower level bedroom. Estimate notes stated bedroom on lower level move to be mostly packed by customer. Customer will attempt to pack a lot of items in totes - estimate is based on almost all items being packed by mover.Move Consultant gave ultimatum of negotiate final price or he would call the driver and tell him if we didnt provide a check including the additional $1,500 then the driver was to take our property to storage at our cost. Agreed to meet in the middle, at an extra $710.2 stars due to timely arrival and delivery of property. Driver and crews are recommended, but would not recommend University Moving & Storage as a North American Moving Services agent to anyone.

Used these folks when my wife and I uprooted and moved to North Carolina. Everyone throughout the entire process was thorough and professional. Had little to no issue measuring, evaluating, and finally grabbing our stuff and going. The only reason I didnt rate them a 5 star, is that we had to wait 5 days for our stuff to arrive in NC. Its not the company failed to meet preset expectations, we just assumed it would be here sooner. Otherwise, everything came to NC with no damage and everyone was courteous to the end.

Ive used three moving companies for my local moves in the past three years and I am easily the happiest with University Moving & Storage. The two guys who helped me move were courteous, careful with my belongings and furniture, and very efficient. Hopefully I wont be moving again anytime soon, but Ill definitely be using them again if I do.

Having moved over 25 times, University moving and Storage did a great job! The quote was ultra-competitive for an international move, they provided recycled boxes for us, and the move went very smoothly. From beginning to end, a 5-star move, with negligible damage to our belongings!

This company was great! We moved from Idaho to Michigan recently and the driver and movers made everything much easier than I ever expected. I have never been moved by a company previously and I would not do it any other way in the future! Well done guys, thank you so much!!

Overall I was pleased with the service. My only complaint is that the rep who came to my apartment for an estimate gave me misleading information. I was told the estimate would be based on the weight of my belongings, and if the actual weight was lower the price would come down. Later I found out that my belongings would be container shipped and not based on weight, and the price was firm. The estimate was still acceptable to me, so it was a minor thing, but I suggest making sure everything is very clear before you sign anything. Both the loading and unloading crews were efficient and courteous, and Brad Hayoz, the relocation coordinator, kept in touch throughout the moving process.

I cannot say enough about University Moving and Storage, the men that came to move our home were on-time, professional and did an absolutely awesome job despite the 95+ degree heat. This is a great North American company and they have my loyalty. I will not move again without University Moving and Storage again and I HIGHLY recommend this company!

Everyone was very friendly and took care of all our belongings. They made sure to keep things separate that we didn’t want to go on the truck. All our items were packed very well, with great care and a lot of padding! We received daily communication with our movers and the company to ensure everything was going as planned and to see if we had any questions/concerns. All our furniture was put back together upon arrival at our new house that was taken apart to fit on the truck. At this time of unpacking, nothing has been damaged or misplaced. We are very pleased with this company and would use them again for sure!!

Loading team and unloading team were very professional - took great care to wrap everything so there would be no damage. Any thing they broke down for easier travel was re-assembled by the team at delviery point.. I used them for a move from Michigan to California and would highly recommend them.

After learning I was going to lose my job due to a plant closing, I was devastated. The company offered me a job at our Cincinnati plant and planned the move from Muskegon to Cincinnati. After 43 years with the company and 42 years in my home, I was very apprehensive about what the moving company would be. I was overwhelmed with the friendly service I received from Paul, Brad, Tony and the rest of the crew at University. They were in total communication every step of the way, so I knew exactly what was going to happen and when. From the time packing began until the final box was unloaded, I was sure that all my belongings would get special treatment. Everything arrived and nothing broken or damaged. I would highly recommend University to anyone who is planning a move. The service was 5-star plus.

Two Men and a Truck quoted $2,200 via the phone which is their policy and University sent a salesman onsite to quote as well. I felt more comfortable with the onsite visit as we did a full walk through with the salesman Kevin to detail the move. Kevin quoted $1,995 and said the crew would show up between 8-9 am and be done in Spring Lake by 5 pm.Move day on Jan 20, 2017 the moving crew showed up on time at 8 am and they left the new home in Spring Lake at 11:30 pm. Later in the evening of the move day the sales rep Kevin called me to make sure I understood the move was taking longer and to make sure I was okay with it. I said youre talking in generalities and not specifics but I was quoted 2k and have no idea what the overage is looking like. Kevin said it should be around $2,600. At the end of the move I was presented a bill for $3,450 or almost 75% higher than quoted. I paid the guys $3,000 and told Kevin I expected a credit that wed work out the following week. Kevin apologized and admitted is was definitely not quoted accurately.The day after the move I received a voicemail from Kevin from the previous evening stating theyd accept $2,850 as a compromise. I presented this to his manager Paul on 1/26 and was told hes just in sales and has no authority to negotiate pricing (but obviously has authority to quote??). He refused to honor what the sales person had agreed to and said it should be the $3,450. I also called corporate out of Farmington Hill MI and was told the same thing, they also didnt care that I have a voicemail from the sales person saying they would settle on $2,850. I do not recommend using this company as their sales people clearly dont know how to estimate a job and you may end up paying twice what they quote. I understand a move can take longer and I paid more the move but the rep grossly underestimated the job and the company wouldnt stand behind what he was telling the client. I originally posted over a year ago, no one from the company reached out to me to attempt to resolve even though they clearly monitor the reviews.

If you want your next door neighbors angry at you then pick this company. For 3 days they left their big van on our cul de sac, which has little on street parking to begin with. Then when I got home from work they totally blocked my driveway, We are the next door neighbors, they were unloading the house next to us. When I talked to the person in charge he said that they need to keep it that way all day. I said OK cuz I wasnt going anywhere that day. I was trying to be nice but I said my driveway cant be block at all tomorrow. He promised to park it differently tomorrow. GUESS WHAT..when I came home the 2nd day the trailer and truck was parked the EXACT way it was the day before completely blocking my driveway. Talking to the same guy he said they needed to park it that way all day. I said thats not what you promised and that you have to move it. He started negotiating with me as to how much of my driveway he could block...REALLY! I said move it or I will have to call the police. He finally did move it.I then call the office in Grand Rapids and left a message for the General Manager. 3 days later since I still had not heard from him I sent an e mail. Phone calls and e mails have since gone unanswered. A simple phone call or e mail from them would have gone a long way in making me feel as if they cared but no this company doesnt care.This company had no integrity and doesnt care about what their drivers do . DONT USE them. There are other companies that care about you & your neighbors, not these people.
