The cleanest gym in grand rapids. The staff is always spot cleaning & it shows. I wish the smith machine was moved next to the rogue rack for more room. Very positive vibe in the gym my favorite place in the morning.

This country boy is a little intimidated moving to this city college town and being surrounded at the gym by all these young beach bodies. It’s a little crowded for my comfort during this pandemic, and with that being true they should double their quantity of plates so I don’t waste any time waiting for my turn or get all up in someone else’s space to grab one. Other than that this place is great. Lots of equipment in good shape, very clean, nice staff.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this location. The staff have always made my time there enjoyable and rewarding. The only reason why I am ending my membership after 3 years is because I’m moving.

I went into the gym a couple days ago to see the facility and possibly sign up. I spoke with Chloe at the front desk and she was amazing. She provided me all the information I needed and was very professional. As I was walking around I noticed she was very helpful with other members and cleaning. Overall a great experience and I hope to sign up soon!

Ive been going there for several years when in GR. Its well maintained and theyve upgraded the experience over time. Theyve reopened now that the state allows gyms to be open with reasonable policies and sanitizing wipes provided. Members, staff, and trainers are pretty friendly.

I had a great experience at Fitness 19! Staff were super knowledgeable, and I never felt like I was being judged or crowded. It is really affordable too! Unfortunately I had to cancel my membership due to Covid-19 concerns, but I hope to be back soon.

Hey all I can say about fitness 19 is it’s a place where you can grow on your journey and get all the help you need. I have gained all of my muscle here. The staff are extremely filled with knowledge and none of them hold back on what you need to know. I trained with Quentin Paterson and he has shown me things that reconstructed my training. Great gym to work out at! If you need help training theyll help and if you like to just get it and get out and be left alone you can do that too. I only signed up for a 6 month membership for the winter because I prefer to workout outside but Im fairly certain Ill be renewing my membership once my contract is up, this place is great!!

Spent a summer in GR for an internship. I am accustomed to supper crowded gyms in Los Angeles. I am able to come in the evening and basically do my entire workout without feeling crowded or rushed. Everything is clean for a smaller gym and has pretty much everything you need to get a quick workout in. Would come back if I ever moved back to the area.

Nice facility. It’s a good size place. It’s broken up into five workout areas ( cable, free weight plated machines, cardio area, stretch/studio), . It’s always clean. The machines are kept up and the people working here are knowledgeable and friendly.

Switched here from Endurance(trash gym) and man was is it night and day. I love this gym. From the staff to the equipment. Equipment is updated regularly and is all new. Plus the price is almost unbeatable. I recommend to anyone looking for a gym.

This gym has been nothing but good to me. The staff here truly care about providing you a positive gym experience. Whenever I come in, they greet me by my name and genuinely care about my fitness goals. Ive trained under the supervision of Emily and she prescribed me a wonderful fitness plan. The facility is always clean and there is a great variety of machines and equipment to use. Being in college, Im happy to be able to afford a low priced membership at a high quality place.

When I moved to GR, I was unsure about what gym I should join. I heard about the great prices and all the specials that Fitness 19 had to offer so I figured Id give it a try. I was able to find out first hand just how great of a gym it truly is. At other gyms I have been to in the past I always felt intimidated but the staff and even the members are all very friendly at Fitness 19. I felt very welcomed and felt comfortable asking any questions I had. The facility is very cleanly and more importantly not overly crowded. I would highly recommend this gym!

I love working out at Fitness 19! Ive been coming here for a few months and have noticed improvements in my strength and endurance. This is due in a large part to Emilys fitness classes. I came from a large gym that always had packed classes and I never felt like I was doing it right or getting a good workout. With the smaller classes offered here I feel much more comfortable and feel like Im getting a better workout with more personal attention. As someone who never enjoyed going to the gym or working out Ive made a total 180! I love going now and taking class! Emily really motivates me to work hard and do it! Shes awesome! Im so glad I made the choice to join Fitness 19!

One day I didnt have my headphones for my music to jam to. So I walked into Fit19 the atmosphere alone gave me enough motivation to annihilate my workout. I have lived in Grand Rapids for 7 years now and this is by far the best gym I have been a member at. The equipment is always clean and looks brand new! The staff is friendly and very helpful when I needed some new workout ideas. The prices are great but they also run some great specials on top of that! Even if you have a membership somewhere else I highly recommend checking this gym out.

I like this gym a lot, and thoroughly enjoy my experience here. From the staff to fellow members, everyone is generally polite and approachable. The only reason I cant give it 5 stars is due to the weekend hours the gym is keeps...however, I do recognize that for the price point of this membership it is unrealistic to expect everything. Overall, I am extremely happy I changed gyms, and have even recommend it several times.

Not like all the other small gyms. There is obvious pride in the condition and atmosphere of this gym which Im assuming stems from the management and you see reflected in the employees. Its always clean and friendly and the facilities are adequate. Its nothing fancy but its unbeatable for the price! It can get very busy at peak times but that seems to be an issue just about anywhere. This is an extraordinary smaller gym.

I love Fitness 19 and it has been the best thing for me! At first I was very hesitant to join this gym because I was expecting to be tricked into something. The monthly fee is very minimal and I just couldnt believe it was actually true. One of my friends has been a member there for a few years and she reassured me that Fitness 19 is very up front and honest. They dont hide anything from you. At that point, I decided to join and have been very happy with the facility. The staff is very friendly and they knew my name before I could remember theirs. To me, that was impressive! The staff love their jobs and take time to get to know their customers and give them tips and pointers. They will also answer any questions you may have. I am currently in the midst of a weight loss challenge and it is taking me to the next level in my weight loss journey! I have been wanting to lose that weight for well over a year. I have been a member of Fitness 19 for about three months. This gym is for people of all ages and abilities. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help out or answer any health/fitness questions. If you are not comfortable working out on your own, they offer guided classes that are conveniently scheduled throughout the week. It might seem a little packed at first, but I can always get my workout in in a reasonable time. The equipment is up to date, in good condition, and very clean. I would suggest this gym to anyone!!

I joined Fitness 19 in January and love this gym! The price is excellent! I have never belonged to a gym and wasnt willing to spent as much as some other gyms were asking. I have a groupon for another gym in the area for fitness classes and was surprised how much cleaner Fitness 19 ALWAYS is! There is always someone dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing or emptying garbage. The staff does an excellent job keeping the facility looking nice.Very convenient location-near work, so there is no excuse not to go! Would recommend!

This gym is awesome all the staff are friendly and educated in the fitness industry as were as if you need any help with any work out they can show you how to properly perform the excerise. I joined this club back in February basically because I wanted to get back in the gym and lose some weight. The price is certainly right ( I have belonged to some of the premier clubs in the area and paid 5 times as much per month). I have lost 30 lbs. The club is extraordinarily clean at all times. The staff is friendly and helpful as are most of the members I have interacted with. They also have personal trainers and a licensed Physical Therapist on staff. All in all its a great value.

Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable. Fitness 19 offers personal trainers as well. Ive been using one for months now. My trainers name is Jared. He is highly motivated, professional and knows how to keep the work outs fresh and new. I highly recommend this gym!

They have the amount of space and equipment that more experienced fitness enthusiasts require, and the resources to accommodate those who are less familiar with their way around a gym.-The staff will be on a first-name basis with you before your 3rd time in the door.-Members are friendly to each other.-The place is being cleaned perpetually.*The value of a membership at this gym is higher than one at another franchise-type gym all things considered (price, personal fitness resources, day-care, changing rooms, lockers, more TVs than a BW3, deal promotions, cleanliness, busyness, hours, location, etc.)

As a former collegiate and professional athlete I have to say, Fitness 19 is a great place to workout. The prices are unbeatable, especially for the value that youre getting. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the facility is VERY clean and all of the machines are in great working order. There is sufficient equipment to meet all of your workout needs. Fitness 19 has an environment that is conducive to getting a productive workout in in a short amount of time. If youre looking for extra amenities such as a steam room, hot tub, etc., then this place isnt for you. Otherwise, I have no complaints.T. Nande.

Been with this gym for about a month and a half. In comparison to other gyms Ive belonged to, Id say this one is decent for variety of equipment offered. However, space is certainly an issue. The pictures that are posted are taken with a wide lense, so its deceiving smaller than what youd first expect.There is certainly a lot of cardiovascular equipment, so no knock there. From what Im told, theyre taking over another unit, adjacent to their location. So, they should be expanding, soon. But, it doesnt help right now when I have to hit a run of luck to secure some time on the ONE bench press (for example) they have when this place floods with people.Id also say some of their equipment is packed in WAY too tight. Just trying to rack weights on their leg press with about a foot and a half of egress between the machine and wall is somewhat difficult and potentially dangerous with what some gym members put/leave on the floor, there.Theyre cleanliness is nothing like Ive ever seen before. They really do clean the entire facility, daily; from what Ive seen. They usually do it in the morning when they open. So, huge plus.Their daycare is also adequate. Ive used it once and didnt have any concerns after the fact.

I am still new to the gym, but I already love it. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. I feel welcomed at the gym, and the facility is clean and well kept. The overall atmosphere is encouraging, and I recommend everyone to try this affordable gym.

Ive been a member of fitness 19 for 3 or 4 years and stopped going since it got so busy and it was always difficult to get machines or weights I wanted to use right away. So after the remodel I went there and was impressed with the remodel and how much more space there was and the availability of the equipment. Would reccomend 👍👍

Ive been a member here since it opened and have always enjoyed it. Their equipment serves all the different kinds of training Ive done (general strength training, body weight training, circuit training, interval cardio). The atmosphere is not pretentious. Overall a great gym at an unbeatable price.

Since adding the 24 hr feature ive actually been using my membership (rather than 5 times the previous year....lol). Great place to workout. Literally the only issue ive ran into is finding towels to clean off the equipment so i dont leave my sweaty mess behind :P

Joined this gym about a year ago and havent had a complaint since. Great staff and motivational posters around the gym to help keep you motivated. The gym is very friendly and people are very friendly. Not an indimidating gym to workout at and people are always willing to offer advice.

Ive been a member at Fitness 19 since November of 2013. Ive always had a positive experience there. I mostly use the cardio equipment and Ive never had to wait in line or change my work-out plans because there is always equipment available. The staff is great and theyll greet you with a smile! Fitness 19 also has lots of specials going on, so be sure to check those out and save money in the process.

Recently updated and added showers and a lot of new equipment. Whether you want to do some cardio, light cable machines, this gym has it all. The one thing that would get it five stars is a bigger space for some classes.

It takes a really great gym for me to feel comfortable/at home in- this place did that. The community and staff are unreal and are my support system! The gym offers tons of cardio machines, along with an assortment of weighted machines and free weights. If you do not feel comfortable working out alone, Fitness 19 offers classes every day! I have participated in a few and they have kicked my booty (in a good way)!!! Come join our fitness fam!

I just joined the fitness 19 at fair low cost on Groupon and so far awesome experience. Ive been to bigger facilities and didnt get the experience I was looking for. Fitness 19 proves that great things can happen in little places. Very clean, great friendly staff when coming and going. I was very impress with the day care they have. Equipment is everything I need and more. I didnt know where to start but hooked up with a trainer and she showed me things I could do to get started I WAS VERY IMPRESS with her trianing abilities. Im looking to pay for the trianing soon and get the fitness Im looking for. Thanks fitness 19 for the great welcome and awesome experience.

Despite its small accommodations, this gym had plenty of machines to work out with if youre a late-night exerciser (not applicable when they close early, though). The machines are a bit antiquated (but they get the job dinner) and theres no dedicated locker room, but the changing rooms are never busy enough where you wont be able to change as soon as you arrive. Attendance seems to be off and on during in the early evenings as some days itll be super packed and others, itll be spookily empty. Theres a new credit-card capable vending machine that dispenses various drinks and plenty of paper-towel dispensers and cleaning solution spray bottles to satisfy any germaphobe, but they literally clean every hour anyway. Definitely recommended, even if they need a little updating.

I am currently a member at Fitness 19 and I love it.Seriously, I have worked out at many different gyms (Planet Fitness, Golds, VHHS, Anytime, 24 E Fitness, etc) and this is the best gym I have joined. The equipment is in great shape, the staff is incredibly friendly and motivating, and the ratio of members is great. For example, you have your bodybuilders, your runners, your yoga/pilates groups and your newbies. Every member is incredibly friendly, helpful and they love this gym. You can tell. I work out at night typically, and it still has a great amount of people working out. Not too crowded, not too empty. Perfect. Just like this gym, in every aspect. I am proud to be a member of Fitness 19. I am proud to be losing weight and getting fit at Fitness 19. I bleed and dream of Fitness 19. Obviously, I love it. If you havent been, check out. The pricing is more than fair and they are there to make your life of fitness a smooth sail. I have already recommended to about 6 other people. CHECK THIS GYM OUT.
