Unfortunately the most unkept teeny-gym that I have ever had a membership at.

I’ve been a member here for a couple of years now. Honestly, the only reason I keep going to this gym is that I live nearby. It’s very difficult to reach staff (they are almost never there and do not return calls). The gym itself is dirty sometimes. Especially in the wintertime. Also, some of the equipment needs repair.

I love this gym and I love the staff. I’ve been a member for about 2 years now and have always had a great experience.

Snap Fitness is great for me as it provides the minimum requirement of equipment with 24 hour access. With my schedule, early mornings work best and the local Y isnt even open that early. This location is clean, well maintained, and the staff is very courteous. Ive only had one issue since joining (2 months ago) and they took care of it right away.

My wife and I joined Snap Fitness about a month ago and we very much enjoy going there. The amount of equipment available is excellent, the type of different exercises you can do is excellent, and the manager, Derek, does a terrific job of welcoming people and helping them out. We would recommend anyone try Snap Fitness... particularly the one we go to on Michigan Avenue.

I love the convenience and ease of use of this 24 hour gym. Its large enough to have a nice variation in workout equipment, but small enough to not be intimidating. The gym has two single stall restrooms that are for some reason not gender-neutral, but maybe thats a company-wide policy, so I wont touch on this issue too much.The larger issue is that the gym is understaffed and not very clean. In fact, there is a layer of dust on most surfaces that are not gym equipment, and dirt regularly collects in corners and in harder to reach areas. Items folks have left sometimes sit in the same place for over a week. Recently, the womens toilet has been malfunctioning (for at least 2 weeks), leading to constantly running (and wasted) fresh water, and no one on staff seems to have addressed this, despite bringing it to their attention. The bottles of cleaning solution are routinely empty, and the paper towel dispensers have also been out for some time. If membership wasnt almost $500 a year, I would take less issue. But these concerns, at a minimum, should be addressed, because if the obvious thinga arent, what else is getting missed?

I recently started coming here after working out at the YMCA downtown. This gym is significantly cheaper, and worth the price reduction. However, if you are coming from a gym as nice as the Y, just dont be surprised by the difference. The machines arent bolted to the floor, they creak and move when lifting the weights (specifically the pulley tower and lat pull-down machine). Another small gripe I have is that the tower pulley machine does not have the weight in lbs on the weights themselves, just some odd number system. The space is adequate for what one needs to work out, the staff have been friendly when Ive seen them. It is worth the money, but just be aware that the facilities could use some sprucing up and could be safer.

Overall gym is an excellent value for the price. 24 hour access is extremely convenient, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. While the equipment is in great condition, one squat rack can be limiting at times. Overall a great gym experience!

Clean and simple gym. The staff is always friendly. The showers are typically well maintained. It can get fairly cramped with the limited amount of space.

Close to my home and I try to go as often as I can. Nice and clean and the staff is very helpful.

Small but has all necessary machines. Separate room for yoga and pilates. Staff friendly and helpful. Bands available.

Ive been coming to this location for years, and its the perfect fit for my lifestyle. Compact and efficient, and never too busy for my workout. Overall awesome place!

Very friendly, and polite staff! Great workout space, never to crowded. Do recommend to anyone who wants a good solid environment to work out and get fit.

This gym is SPOTLESS! The staff is friendly and the location is perfect. You wont find a better gym in downtown Grand Rapids!

For a very very tiny gym you are limited plus they want 35 to enter and basically 40$ month I’m good your trying to compete for something you not even ahead in. Why don’t I just go to ymca there more and it’s the same price?

Machines were not properly maintained. Staff was not helpful. Tried to cancel my membership and was charged for two extra months. Not staffed very often, and so was often with just one other person, which felt a little awkward and somewhat unsafe.

I have been a member for 6 years and have loved the 24/7, cleanliness, and helpful staff.

Snap withdrew funds from my bank account and when I inquired as the the reason, they couldnt even tell me why! Only positive review is that it is generally clean, however its not uncommon for a treadmill or 2 to be inoperative.

Private, no one bothers you, 24 hours a day and the staff is awesome. Cant beat it.

Uncooperative Management. I worked out here for about 1 year. I went in to cancel my membership in May-ish of 2015 and they continued to charge me 2 months after cancellation. I had to find it on my bank statement and stop by the gym again to fix the issue. They claimed that an old, improperly trained employee filed my paperwork incorrectly. They were unwilling to refund me my $100 I was charged for those 2 consecutive months. We had to make multiple trips and phone calls just to argue with the manager. I will never go back due to there low customer service standards.
