Allegro team – cannot say enough about what a great studio and team you have. Ive been going for over a year and love the lunch time classes and flexibility of weekend options. Also love the location. Many members of our RM+D team love the options you offer from boxing, to body pump, spin, circuit. You are our built-in fitness program – a nice walk from our office. Allegro Coaching has truly changed my life. I am have been a runner for many years but not one to invest in the cost of exercising at a gym. The cost is unbeatable, the investment invaluable and I am completely addicted. Allegros coaches have helped my become stronger and faster than I ever thought possible. During the first six months of training at Allegro, I dropped my Boston Marathon finish time by 22 minutes and over the course of the year, my marathon PR by 10 minutes. Allegro is a community that encourages and accepts individuals where ever they are in fitness. Boxing classes were, at first, intimidating to my coordination deficient self. Something I would never have considered trying are now a favorite. If you have been looking for your abs for a while - wondering if you have em. Allegro boxing. Try it.

Allegro Coaching is awesome! The instructors are great and knowledgable, the classes they offer are fun and are great workouts. The studios are beautiful and well-equipped. The part I love best is the community - you always feel welcomed in a class at Allegro, and the more you come, the better you know your workout buddies and you can always have a great time!

I love working out at Allegro! Its a smaller gym (which I like much more than big box gyms) that packs in some of the best exercise programs Ive participated in. The trainers and instructors are knowledgeable and fun which makes getting through an intense work out a bit easier!

I cant say enough about how much I enjoy working out at Allegro Coaching. Up until two years ago, I was the typical new years resolution - join a gym in January and use it once a month after the first month type of girl. I could always find something I wanted to do more than go to the gym. Then I went to Allegro Coaching because I heard they had boxing and thought that sounded fun. One class a week turned into two. Then I broadened my horizons to try other classes: body pump, R.I.P.P.E.D, TRX. The variety of classes makes working out fun. The instructors are encouraging and my fellow Allegro members keep me accountable. Im proud to say I now take 4-5 classes religiously each week and have taken up running on the side.Ive lost weight, am in the best shape ive been in since high school, and feel great thanks to Allegro Coaching.

Allegro Coaching is not a gym. It is an experience. Owner Kendra Bylsma does not consider this her job. It is her passion. More than anything, Kendra desires individuals to transform their lives; to learn to love themselves again. Whether its a group class, bootcamp, or individual training session, Kendra will take the time to get to know you; find your weakness and build on your strengths. She will give you every tool to empower yourself to become a better version of you. She will not scream at you. She will motivate you. She will cry with you. She will be the first person in line to congratulate you when you achieve your goals. If you have never been to Allegro Coaching, it is time to stop waiting. Allegro Coaching will change your life.

Allegro is terrific! It’s not your typical gym with rows of cardio and weights, and thankfully there are no televisions. It’s a boutique studio with only scheduled group fitness classes, small group and personal training. You don’t just show up without an appointment. They offer individual classes, multi-class packs and membership options, all competitively priced. The classes are varied and fantastic with super fun members and awesome, funny, motivating instructors. They also have specialty programs (Spartan SGX, massage, foam rolling workshops, etc.) as well as a fairly full schedule throughout each day. They do sell beach body products and shakes, but it’s never forced down your throat. I’ve been going there for over 2 years and am still very engaged and miss it when I’m away. This studio also manages some great corporate wellness programs in the area and will come to your place of business and work with your employees, which is how I got started; they work with some of the largest companies in the area. I’ve tried other fitness boutique studios, e.g., kickboxing, yoga, Flex City type of places, and they’re great, but they cost the same, if not more, and it’s just for that one type of exercise. Allegro has it all in one place and the best instructors so that’s what keeps me coming back! Drawbacks are but a few, and include limited parking at peak times and no locker rooms. There are only 2 small private restrooms so it can be difficult to change there if you’re coming from work. They seem to be growing at a good clip in just the past 4 years, and I hear buzz about expansion, so we’ll see if those problems are remedied in the future. Overall, they’re minor issues…you’re at the gym, surely you can walk a block or two to the door if needed, just plan ahead for time. I’m happy to be a member here and can’t wait to see what changes they make down the road.

Allegro offers studio classes, personal training, corporate wellness, and boot camps.Im only familiar with their classes, but I would rate the studio a solid 5-stars.When I moved to Grand Rapids, I looked online for a gym that offered a variety of classes at various times of day to work with my schedule and interests. Allegro fit the bill. They were offering a 2-week trial for just $25 so I took advantage of that and checked them out. I was hooked pretty quickly. Their class sizes are small (never more than 20 people), studio is clean, instructors are knowledgable and motivating, and members are friendly. Plus they offer such variety of classes (circuit training, boxing, TRX, mat pilates, strength training, spin, and more!) that Im able to keep my exercise routine diverse and balanced. Signing up for classes is convenient (I can do it on my phone through the MindBody app) and Im almost always able to get into the classes I want. They do let you pay for drop-in classes, but youll get a better deal if you sign up for an extended membership.Ive been going there now for about 6 months and Ive noticed significant positive changes to my body, strength, flexibility, stamina, and attitude. I am very happy with Allegro and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys exercising in group settings and wants to change their life for the better. :)The only downside to the studio, in my opinion, is that parking can be a little tough in the evenings. I frequently park down the street in a neighborhood.

Before Allegro I had never been to a gym. With my job I was always active so I didnt feel the need. My friend then started going to Boxing at Allegro and convinced me to go. From my first class I was hooked and have now been a member for almost two years. I love the variety of classes they offer, from Boxing to TRX, RIPPED, BodyCombat, P90X and BODYPUMP, just to name a few. If you want to sweat and smile (usually!!!) at the same time, Allegro is the place for you!

I was in my late 30s when I realized I was weak, deconditioned, and injured. I met Kendra Bylsma with Allegro Coaching and started a journey to strengthen my life. What I love about Allegro is that if YOU choose to be All In, so are they. I am stronger now in my mid 40s than ever. I live an active lifestye and run a massage business with great stamina. My life at Allegro is about transformation, and we do it one plank at a time. Come and join us for fitness and fun!!

I have been going to Allegro Coaching for 18 months and simply LOVE the studio. Thanks to TRX, Circuit Training, Boxing and the wonderful coaches, I am the strongest and fittest I have ever been.I discovered the gym when my friend and I were looking for something fun and active for another friends 40th birthday. It was December 2012 and there wasnt enough snow to do anything outside. We stumbled across the Hurricane Sandy Sampler. Three hours of exercise (TRX, Brazilian BLT, P90X, Insanity, R.I.P.P.E.D) for a donation to Hurricane Sandy...perfect: exercise and we got to help those in need (I love that Allegro Coaching gives back to the community and supports relevant causes). Well, after my first attempt at TRX I was hooked and wanted more. They were on week two of a 10-day Inferno (another type of sampler) and had an open spot, so I signed up. Wow! After 1.5 years of doing Insanity at home, I so missed the camaraderie of group exercise and the motivation/encouragement of a great instructor (I was previously a member at East Hills and loved their classes; I had tried a few classes at MVP but it wasnt the same). I never enjoyed weights for strength training and always forgot to work my abs. Well, TRX is fantastic for strength trainingand just about every workout at Allegro Coaching includes some core work.Thinking about joining? I highly recommend trying their new member two-week special: two weeks of unlimited classes for an incredible price.Other reasons I love Allegro:- They care about their members- They have flexible membership plans- TRX, Circuit Training and Boxing- The members are all very friendly and motivate each other, regardless of age or fitness level- They have great coaches- They have classes that fit my full-time work and family schedule (thank you coaches for always waking early for the 5:30 am classes).- You have to sign up for class, which holds you accountable. There are some days that you dont feel like going, but because your name is on the list you do (and youre happy you did).- They mix it up. 4-6 times per year they hold an Inferno week that total confuses your muscles and improves your endurance. Its a great way to break up your normal workout routine and get results.- They are community-minded. They rally members to participate in local races together and host fundraisers for local and national causes.- Classes cater to all fitness types; they always show options so no one should feel over or under-challenged.- They work your abs and core

Allegro Coaching is by far the best un-gym in Grand Rapids. I call it an un-gym because the people there and the workouts are both unlike anything I have ever done before. My wife and i started taking Katies Monday night 6th Street Park bootcamp class, and absolutely loved it. Its one of those workouts that absolutely kicks your butt but leaves you wanting more because you had so much fun doing it. We then started taking classes at the studio and fell in love with Christian & Kendras boxing and TRX classes.Allegro is more than a gym-- its kind of a community you can go to that just happens to have stellar workout classes and personal training.
