Just to be clear, I did not end up hiring S&P. I called them out to get a quote and the gentleman was very nice. However, he quoted me $1600 to trim two large trees. A competing company quoted $650 for the same work. I’m a young, female, new homeowner and it looks like he may have tried to take advantage of that. They may do good work but I’ll be taking my business elsewhere!

We found S&P through a letter left on our door saying they would be servicing the area, and had them remove a small tree and stump from our backyard that didnt survive the freeze. We got a quote the same day I reached out and were able to schedule the service for the next week. The crew arrived early and did a great job. They even swept/blew in front of my house and my neighbors houses to cleanup when done. Very professional. Ive already recommended them to a coworker and would again!

S&P Tree Service is hands down the best company we’ve ever worked with, and I don’t mean just tree companies, I mean out of any company, ever.My husband and I bought a home that had been neglected for years; you could barely see it from the street, there were huge Cottonwood trees towering over the back of the house that weren’t healthy and posed a danger to not only our home, but to our neighbors, and there were shrubs and trees too close to the home that were impacting the foundation and resting on the roof, it was a jungle (before & after photos below). Because of the severity and height of the Cottonwood trees, and the fact that they towered over our home, our neighbors fence, and two neighboring properties, to say I was nervous about choosing the right company was an understatement. We had 7 companies come look at our property and give bids, but we could tell S&P Tree Service was the best for the job. I inquired online, Jesse called me back almost immediately, and he went out the very next day to take a look at our property. When he explained what he’d seen and what the job would consist of he was detailed and professional, a clear expert on the subject, and on top of that he was extremely kind (something I absolutely would not say about some of the other local companies we interacted with who claimed to be “the best”). On top of that, the estimate he gave us was beyond reasonable.We decided to move forward with S&P and Jesse got us on the schedule for the following week. A day later I noticed rain on the forecast for the days we had scheduled and I reached out to Jesse to express my concern. He rescheduled us and had his team come out the very next day to get the job done. Jesse arrived at the site early and the entire crew was punctual. We did a walk around with Jesse before the work began to confirm everything we wanted removed and trimmed and then the work began. The crew spent a day and a half working on our property and they were exceptional. This project called for the best, and they really were. They carefully and expertly took down the dangerous cottonwoods (and somehow made sure not a single stick fell onto any of the neighboring properties), they removed every single tree and shrub we had asked them too, they perfectly trimmed the trees we wanted trimmed so they no longer leaned against our roof, AND they even carefully and thoroughly cleared the roof of leaves and pollen when the job was done. When they left the lawn was mowed, the leaves were raked and removed from the driveway and lawn, and not a single thing was left out of place. We were blown away by what they had accomplished, they exceeded our expectations tenfold.If we ever need a tree service again, they are the ONLY company we will call. Highly recommend S&P Tree service! They did a wonderful job on cutting down and removing two large pine trees next to the house. They removed two fence panels to take the tree down safely and hauled off everything, took out the stump and roots and left the soil flat. They put the fence back just how it was; along with leaf blowing the area and trimmed two other trees we were having issues with. I called Johnny last week for a quote and he got out quick and effectively - gave us a quote and explained the process and answered all of our questions. Was extremely knowledgeable when asking him what types of trees we had in our yard and what hed recommend if we decided to place new trees. Fast forward to today, the crew came out as scheduled and finished early - they did a great job! It was not very noisy (surprisingly with chainsaws) and we were able to stay inside contactless and pay through their website if needed. Everything got hauled off and the crew left my property clean. I appreciate their hard work and so happy to see my yard flat without trees and roots coming up. Not to mention they will recycle the trees which is big to us too. 5-star service, def will use again and highly recommend.

I used S&P for the first time in 2020 and was very pleased with the work they did in trimming my large oak trees. So when I decided to have two large oak trees removed, I called S&P first. I got an estimate the very next day, and the day after that, the work was done quickly and efficiently. I had a large tree break and fall in the street on Saturday. I called multiple emergency tree service companies and S&P Tree Service was the only company that had a live person answer the phone. They dispatched Santos who was here within an hour and a half of my call. He gave me a good quote to remove the tree and used a chain saw to remove the tree from blocking the street that morning. His crew arrived on Tuesday with a lot of equipment and removed the tree and ground the stump. My yard was left clean. I had never used them before but I highly recommend them to anyone needing quick and efficient service.

WOW! What a team at SP Tree Service. Santos was out to my property within an hour of us contacting him. A HUGE pecan tree fell on my home, and they sent 2 crews the next day to remove and mulch the entire tree and stump. Johnny was super helpful with my invoice (to file insurance). The crews were professional, safe and worked very hard to remove a 100ft tree in 5 hours. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SP Tree Service!

I have done service with S&P Tree Service of Grand Prairie for a few years now. They offer the best of quality service and are very cautious about your surrounding property. The recent single digit weather affected and damaged my Live Oak and it needed removing prior to a possible high wind causing more damage to my roof and house structure.They came out quick to provide quote and showed up the next day and did an outstanding job. They have a very user friendly online payment system that reduces paper handling hassles so all together it was a great experience. We hated to lost the tree but feel better now afterwards.

Our Church contracted with S&P for the removal of two dead trees in our church school playground. One tree was very large and required careful removal to prevent damage to a near by church building. The team showed up a day after signing the proposal. They came with an impressive array of equipment and went to work, taking all the time needed to get the job done right. What can I say about S&P Tree Service except from start to finish they are a 100% class act, professional, and accommodating in every way possible. If you have a need or want, simply ask, if they can do it, they will make it happen. On the day of my estimate, they called to let me know they were coming. I showed them what I needed done and we discussed what they would do and the cost involved which was not only in my budget, but I felt was a very fair price. I advised I needed to move money around to pay for the two tree removals and trimming of 2 other trees. A few weeks went by and I got busy but always knew S&P was going to get my business but they called and followed up with me to let me know they wanted my business. I was very impressed. Once scheduled, they called me the day before to confirm date and let me know what time they would arrive and they were on time. The entire day the crew were great, moved things out of the way when I needed to leave for an appointment. I asked if some of the smaller branches could be cut into fire logs and they were happy to do so for me. The large logs (these trees were from 1967) were picked up by a crane and loaded onto the truck, with the smaller limbs chopped up to mulch. When I came home, everything was clean and manicured. My sister who was home said when they were finished rang the bell to let her know they were done and did the yard meet specifications, which it did. I met the owner, he came toward the end of the day and we had a nice chat and I told him how impressed I was with the quality of work being performed. He exclaimed safety was top priority and of course quality. I had called the office earlier in the day to pay for the job but she said they dont typically take payment until the job is done and Im satisfied. When the job was basically complete and they were in clean-up mode, I called to make payment since it was almost end of business and the office staff were like everyone with my job, top notch professional. I know tree removal/trimming seems expensive if youre not familiar with all involved with such a service but Im here to tell you, they are worth every bit and more. S&P are very competitive (I received 3 bids) and they had the best professional service from start to finish. I cant recommend enough! If I need any other complex tree removal/trimming service I will look no further and if asked, will only recommend this incredible amazing company.

The service and response time were excellent. When they came in, we had a big tree on our roof that the storm had broken in two. In a matter of hours, Mr. Santo’s team brought it down, discarded the broken tree, cleaned the area and it was a if nothing happened. Thank you!

Had a Bradford Pear that was about 20-30 tall that was deteriorating and branches were about to fall on my house. Everything I have read about these trees said that after about 20 years, they are in danger of failing and large limbs will begin to drop. So I made the tough decision of getting it removed, losing a lot of shade. The tree was over 30 years old, so we got an extra 10 years with no damage. I called a tree service on 7/30. Got confirmation that they would come out and give me an estimate on Friday 7/31 about 11 am. Received text on Friday at 8:00am rescheduling for 2-3pm being very flexible, I agreed. Got another text at noon rescheduling for Saturday, 10-11. Again being flexible, I agreed. About noon on Saturday, no show, so I cancelled my request and found someone else.This is where SP Tree Service was contacted based on many positive recommendations here. I contacted them through their website, and received a call almost immediately even though it was Saturday. I was fully not expecting a call until Monday. After the call, Santos came to give me an estimate within a couple of hours. Very knowledgeable and recommended that it be cut down, grind the stump and remove all the debris. I agreed and he set me up for Monday at 1:00pm. They had a team of 8 workers here at 3:00 (another job ran late). They were done with everything by 6:30. Impressed is not a good enough word for what I felt as they left. We also discussed trimming bushes and a couple of crepe myrtles. All of this was done in 3.5 hours. You can see the before and after of how thorough the grinding and cleanup was. I would recommend this company for any landscaping job, because of the job they did for us.

We have had several home improvement projects performed over the last year by other companies. We are most happy with S&P Tree Services. They came out and gave a reasonable quote, offering additional information on our plants and bushes that we didnt know. That was appreciated. They were scheduled to arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. They showed up at 7:30! Better early than late or not at all, as weve experienced. No problem! They were expedient, respectful, polite, and clearly hardworking. I asked that they pull up one bush in particular but that I wanted to keep it. I expected them to dump it in the pot that I provided and go on with their work. Nesto not only added soil to the pot but went and got the garden hose and added water!We thought they would take their tree removal vehicle around to our backyard to remove three very old bushes. Nesto pointed out to us that he was concerned that the concrete pool deck may not support the vehicle. We thought that was extremely thoughtful and showed good foresight! All of the gentlemen pitched in and removed them by hand and very efficiently. Since they had to work around several flowering plants and rosebushes, I asked them to please be be careful. They acted as if it was their garden and NOTHING was damaged.One more thing wed like to mention. Though we couldnt understand much of what they were saying, it was very evident that these men not only worked together well, but with joy. There was laughter, consideration and respect among them. What an awesome tree service company, these guys are first class professionals. I’m in the landscape business myself (not trees) and I know there are a lot of tree service companies in DFW but S&P stands above them all. They took care of trimming up my cedar elm and I must say it didn’t look like the same tree when finished, it looked way better plus I no longer have branches rubbing my roof. When they left you couldn’t even tell they were here except for the outstanding work performed and as a bonus they took the time to cover my plants and shrubs. My wife and I love using S&P. We have used them 3 times now and have been really impressed. Every time they have come out whether to trim our tree or remove them. (We have had one large trimmed and three removed to date. They also broke down the rock boarder that was around the tree and hauled it off for us) They are reasonably priced, quick, always come out early, and they clean up perfectly. I wanted to share just how wonderful Johnny, Santos, and all the team at S & P tree Service is. I have a very large live oak in my yard. Its canopy was so dense sunlight could not get through and all my grass was gone. I called and spoke with Johnny about my issue and he quickly dispatched Santos for an estimate. Santos was here the next day. He is personable and professional. He is a wealth of knowledge and a great listener too. The estimate was very reasonable. A few weeks later we called to set an appointment. They were quick to respond and on time for the appointment. (Anyone who knows me knows I appreciate punctuality) The men quickly began setting up and three were up in the tree in minutes. This is a well trained team of professionals who execute both the cutting and the cleaning up well! We were impressed with their swiftness, accuracy, knowledge of the tree, and that they blew debris off of our roof and cleaned the yard up so nicely. The quoted prices were very reasonable and work started the next day on a holiday weekend. Great communication with Jesse about arrival times of the work crews. S&P did a great job with my tree removal. The tree was a really beautiful, old pecan. Unfortunately, the tree had grown too close to the house. The roof had been notched to accommodate the tree at some point but the tree grew more than expected and it was resting on the roof and against the siding. The siding was starting to rot and allow bugs and ants to get into our home. We called S&P because they were highly recommended on NextDoor. They came out and gave us an estimate. At first it was going to be $2,375 (plus tax) but I was able to get him to drop the price to $1,800 (plus tax). I think this was mostly because I had gotten another estimate from a smaller company that would do it for $1,000 and also because they happened to have a crew that could come out the very next day. They came out at 8 am and started working immediately. They had a big crew and worked quickly. The whole job took them only 5 hours or so. This included stump grinding! They left me some firewood per my request and cleaned up the job site incredibly well. My back patio was way cleaner after they left than it had been when they got there. I would highly recommend S&P to anyone that needs a tricky tree removed, or is just looking for a company to get the job done quickly and done correctly.

We contracted S&P Tree Service to trim 2 trees and remove 4 trees. The price was fair and the quality of work was outstanding. The trees and stumps were removed, all of the debris wood chipped at the job site, decks blown and pool netted. I have never had a crew this conscientious and respectful of my property and we highly recommend them. Amazing job!

I highly, highly recommend S&P Tree Service!!They quickly cut down two medium size trees in my yard that were growning into home and fence. The limbs were fed into their wood chipper, which worked to quickly aid in removal off the property instead of waiting for city brush removal. The stump of one of the trees was neatly ground to prevent new growth. The stump of the other tree, too close to house foundation was treated with chemical to prevent new growth.And they did a great job cutting back old/overgrown limbs on a large pecan tree for me as well. The pecan tree looks better as it is now open to better wind movement and ground shade.The crew of four worked very, very efficiently. You can tell they know how Team-work makes their jobs easier and quicker in accomplishing the goals of the job.Their pricing is reasonable considering other estimates I had to do this same job. My yard was clean up of fallen limbs. It was hard to tell all those limbs had been there.....

I was quite pleased with my experience dealing with S and P Tree Service. Jesse, our estimator, conducted himself professionally and the quote was very reasonable for cutting down and removing a 40 foot tall elm with about a 20 inch diameter base. Ive been quoted more than twice the amount to remove similarly sized trees, so I was happy and they did a great job.

The crew of 6 took down 2 large trees in a matter of 2 hours with professional and very tidy work. I cant say enough wonderful things about the employees and the company. S&P was recommended to me by a friend after she heard what my first estimate would be to remove a very large tree that had fallen on our property. S&P had excellent communication from first contact to completion of removal and even followed up the next day.My husband I were very impressed with their customer service!

We purchased a 2.3 acre property recently that had about 20 trees that needed to be removed, including huge elms that were on their last leg. There were also dense briars and brush all along the side and back of the property that I asked S&P to remove. Because of the size of the job, I estimated it would take them 3-4 days with a full crew and large shredder. Not only did they complete the work in one day but the quality of their work was excellent. All briars/brush was completely removed, all tree branches were raised and well manicured, and trees removed were cut to ground level and stumps ground where I asked them to. In addition, their proposal for the work was significantly less than other providers. I think because they run such an efficient operation, they are able to offer more competitive pricing. If anyone ever asks for a tree service referral, Ill just tell them to call S&P and skip getting other bids. S&P is the best by far.

S&P Tree Service did a great job on our large yard, front and back with many trees. Johnny Perla worked with me to determine what we wanted done and gave advise graciously, mainly related to what might be good for the health of the trees. The crew worked hard and did a masterful job trimming limbs and cutting down dead cedar trees. They cleaned up afterward, including blowing the driveway. Our yard and trees look so much better.

I love working with Johnny (SP Tree Service) they have been so awesome and wonderful. They have replaced trees at my old home and pulled up trees that needed to be pulled at my new house and with each service they have provided, they have always made me feel like I’m their only customer. A great experience. We had hired another company to remove a tree that had fallen on our house. When it came time to remove it they got nervous and backed out. S&P was wonderful. They came out within two hours and then sent a crew of 7 to get it done that afternoon . Very happy with their response, the professionalism of their work and their cleanup. They were all very professional, from the lady on the phone to the guys feeding the chippper. They came when they said they would, they were safe and efficient. They took down a big tree next to the house with precision. I didn’t have to worry about my house or their safety. And the price was fair!!
