It all starts with a warm reception from Sara, then the dentist Dr. Ryan takes it from there with a gentle touch, and comforting words. The whole time I was there, NO PAIN, I have dealt with a few dentist, and there is always pain associated with these procedures! And to top it all off, I wasnt able to afford my visit, but they worked with me and set up a financing plan that was affordable to my budget. What an awesome team would definitely recommend!

Hands down the best dental office in town! Back in Texas, my Dad had always been my dentist and of course to me, he’s the greatest dentist in Texas, so I had very high expectations for who my new dentist would be. I felt right at home with Bookcliff Family Dental and the service was superb. Stephanie, the dental hygienist, was very gentle and thorough with my cleaning. Dr. Helgerson was delightful and did a thorough dental exam. The overall atmosphere is professional, yet calm and relaxing. Each of their personalities, including the support staff, is kind and comforting. Their office really has it together and I felt very confident doing business with them. I can honestly say that I had fun and enjoyed the visit while receiving exceptional dental care.

Doc and staff are friendly, considerate and knowledgeable; the office is clean and comfortable. They got me in for an appointment quickly and didn’t make me feel rushed while working with me. Dr. Ryan and his team are absolutely amazing! They were able to accommodate my schedule on short notice and made sure that I felt comfortable and informed about all aspects of my dental health. The staff were incredible! I brought my one year old along for my visit. The staff were attentive to my needs, as well as my daughters. Dr. Helgerson answered all my questions. He also works wonders with small children. My little girl loved getting her teeth cleaned and examined! Great job to the whole team for making my daughters first visit to the dentist so enjoyable!

Awesome service with an excellent staff. Normally when I would get a cleaning at other offices it would only feel superficial and systematic. I can’t recall actually ever enjoying a cleaning until now. I’ve always been a big fan of personal interactions, and I feel like sometimes that this trait can be missed by staff members. And because it can ruin the experience you may have. Fortunately it seems that bookcliff dentals staff it is truly spectacular. Bookcliff dental has left me with a really good feeling and I will be coming back for more cleanings in the future. On top of all of that I had no issues with the level of service that was delivered to me. Truly an amazing staff full of unique personality’s that make it feel like home.

They have gone out of their way to provide me with a challenging completion of an implant. I highly recommend Bookcliff Family Dental. Everyone in the office is so incredibly kind. I had to have some not-so-fun work done on myself and it went so smooth. Both my children (ages 8 & 9) already love going in to see Dr. Helgerson too. (this is huge, my kids ususally hate having to go to the dentist) He is very personalable, friendly and great with kids. He is honest and his education shows, so knowledgeable. My favorite thing about visiting Bookcliff Family Dental is the emphasis put on all patients having a positive experience. Really great experience overall. I had my first cleaning last week which was one of the best cleanings I’ve ever had. Very friendly staff and hygienist. Had three old broken fillings replaced today and it went super smooth. The membership program is really the way to go and encourages regular and routine dental care and maintenance. Couldn’t recommend them enough

A great initial meeting. Mike was able to get me into their schedule as I had a chipped/broken tooth. I was seen quickly and we came up with a plan. Everyone was very professional and cordial. So far so good.

Appointment on 12/02/2019 for a filling and crown replacement. Dr. Stein and her assistant were personally very friendly and would earn 5 stars on that alone. However, there were some equipment and maintenance issues. An air drill handpiece malfunctioned running too slow to drill out the cavity, and (unknown to me) overheated and burned the inside of my cheek. Also, when polishing the replacement crown, the polishing bit broke apart and pieces hit the roof of my mouth. No damage, but not a good thing. My cheek now has two ulcers at the burn site which I think will heal, but will be uncomfortable for a few weeks. I do not enjoy doing negative reviews, but I thought people should know.

Finally a Dental Office that truly cares from every aspect possible! They will do all they can to keep you healthy and smiling! They know the best smiles come from having a person in your life who will BE THERE to listen to what you have to say (or NOT say)!!

Laurie Stein and Dr. Gorman are so magnificent. I have had cleanings, fillings, crowns, as well as cosmetic work done to my teeth. They have always worked me whether it be scheduling or finances they are always open. The honesty and integrity in this office is amazing. The staff are people I would want to hang out with! Wow! Todays visit exceeded my expectations. Dr. Gorman as always was the best in all work needed today. He has been my dentist for over ten years and look forward to future visits. All dental assistants were very knowledgeable and complete in their work. The entire staff was very welcoming, accommodating, and friendly.

Laurie A Stein and her staff have my 5-star rating. Dr. Stein was my dentist many years but upon retiring, I picked up VA Insurance and did not have dental insurance. I procrastinated for eight year while my teeth were in a state of decay. Old cavity filing were cracking my teeth and I needed new crowns. I had a cracked tooth that was starting to decay. I already had a one week vacation scheduled and needed help fast. Dr. Stein and her staff arranged a quick appointment for me to get x-rays and scheduled two appointments for me the following week that I had the vacation scheduled. Over two morning appointments, I had one root canal, three fillings and seven crowns. The entire process covering both days were relaxing and with no pain or discomfort. The operating Doctor and his assistant made the process fun, informative, and made certain that I was always comfortable. The crowns were made on site and placed the same day. A big plus was that Laurie Stein offers an in office insurance policy which reduced the costs. I can never say enough for the professionalism, courtesy and care given by all the staff in the office. Thank you Dr. Stein and staff.

I had my semi-annual exam & cleaning today with Dr. Laurie Stein and her excellent staff. My dental hygienist, Stephanie cleaned my teeth with gentleness but also very thorough and complete care. The front office staff Sara & Taylor were warm and friendly and very competent at checkout regarding my appointment billing and follow up for scheduling a next Recare appointment. And of course, Dr. Stein is always at the top of her game. I trust her completely for an accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. When she performs her suggested treatment; she is always gentle in my mouth and gives me painless treatment and her restorations are simply excellent functionally and also aesthetic pleasing and beautiful. I would highly recommend Dr. Laurie Stein for all of your comprehensive dental care.

Stephanie, the dental hygienist does great work. The staff is friendly. The prices though -even with a cash pay patient and discount from Appleton clinic is ridiculous!!! They charge a hygiene instruction charge which is bogus. And even with a credit on my account from an overpayment last appointment it was still well over $200 for basic routine check up.

Of course I would have to give a 5 star review but in all seriousness I highly recommend this office. The level of care is second to none and customer service is top notch. You will feel valued and appreciated. Call for an appointment to experience the difference!

I made an appointment with my dentist, dr. gorman; who was supposedly moving his practice into Stein DDS.I called & made an appt with the specific instructions - I will only see Dr Gorman, as I have anxiety & he is the only dentist I’ve seen as an adult.The Stein DDS front desk staff asked about insurance, etc. I told them I am a cash patient & would need 3 things done that day; totally approx. $1200The staff assured me they would make sure I would see Dr Gorman. This was in February & I based an entire day around this March 25th appointment, driving from a different state, 2 hours away; to see Dr. Gorman.When we went to check in, the man up front simply said “Dr Gorman isn’t here today; we have you set up with Dr Stein”MIND YOU .. this was a 1 o’clock in the afternoon appt; giving them at least FOUR HOURS since they had been open to contact me and let me know that he wasn’t going to be there that day.Nothing. No call. No apology. No explanation. Nothing.Then, when I get home - I call to leave a message for Dr Gorman & the office staff tell me HE DOESN’T PRACTICE THERE ANYMORE 🤔I feel like these people were trying to take my money; regardless of my situation & not wanting to deal with any other dentists.this felt all too much like a SCAM ...

My 11 year old daughter had her teeth cleaned and x rays done at Dr. Stein and Dr. Gormans dental practice. We had been going to Dr. Gorman in Moab, Utah where we live. He recently relocated to Grand Junction full time with Dr. Stein. My daughter was happy with her cleaning and everyone was very professional and friendly.
