My upstairs air conditioning went out on a hot humid day, with more hot weather coming. Im due to have a house full of people over the next few days, and I dont want them to swelter! Not to mention my home office is upstairs, and Im working from home. I called around to area HVAC businesses, and no one could come for at least 4 days. When I called Thorntons Heating & Air Conditioning, not only did I get an appointment for the same day, they arrived within the hour! My air conditioning was up and running before I knew it. From the time I requested a quote from Thorntons until the system was installed & I learned to program my thermostat....I have had quality service. The quote was done within 2 days of my call. The system installed about 4 days after I accepted the very reasonable quote. Brittany, the receptionist was awesome to talk with and answer my questions before & after installation. I have had my system a little over two weeks now & my home never felt more comfortable. I would highly recommend them for heating & a/c needs.

My first dealings with Thorntons Heating and Air, I was called in to finish a project years ago, where the GC had abandoned the house and new owners, filed bankruptcy and left the subs without payment.So I came in, called Thorntons and Tim Thornton said his name is on that project, the new home owners where his clients and he finishes what he starts. He did just that.We have been working together ever since. I refer him to everyone, something I dont often do. But you will get the same great service, regardless of the job or service tech that comes out because they truly are a family business.

Right before Thanksgiving, our downstairs heating unit (15 years old) died. Because of personal recommendations from family, we called Thorton’s for the first time.The technician, who came out the very day we called, waited for my husband to come home and showed us within the old system the parts that were broken and even texted us pictures. Since we were going to have to replace the unit, we also asked for a quote on a split system (heat/air) in a recently closed in garage.The quotes were fair, the crew practiced Covid guidelines, were professional, dependable and we had 2 new systems installed within a few Days.We especially like the constant notification system through email/text with scheduled appointment reminders, updates on arrival times, estimates, description of services provided and receipts. We recently decided it was time to replace our 20+ year old HVAC system. Thorntons came highly recommended, so we called Tim. He came the next day, evaluated our needs and explained the process. The following morning he called us back with a very fair quote, so we scheduled our install date. The fellas arrived on time and worked most of the day ... super nice, knowledgeable and hard-working. The finished product is well-installed and works GREAT! Our house heats up now so much quicker than before. We requested to have a smart thermostat added as well. Another Thornton employee came to install and walk us through the set-up and using the app. He was patient with us not-so-savvy tech folks and also very knowledgeable of the product. We can not recommend Thornton’s Heating & AC enough!If you’re in the market for a new HVAC unit or just have some questions about yours, don’t hesitate to call them.

Thorntons installed our Heat Pump/AC system when the house was built in 2012. Four years later I called when the outside condenser unit stopped working. They showed up within hours, Daniel and Steve were very friendly and helpful, and they looked for the simplest solution first! Turns out it was just a clogged drain line that tripped a sensor back at the AC unit under the house. Only charged for the service trip (reasonable $85). They couldve claimed it was anything just to make more money, so Im very pleased by their honesty and professionalism. I would highly recommend them!

They got to my parents house a lil after 9 this morning got right to work..& they just left about 10 mins ago..& it’s 6:27pm here. they did an excellent job, they were quick & did their job the correct way!

I highly recommend Thorntons. Our AC unit shut down and they were at our house within two hours of our phone call. We needed a relay switch which had to be ordered but they were back early the next morning and replaced the switch (plus the motor and a contactor). Their price is extremely reasonable and they are very professional.

I had a house built in 2010 contractor used thorntons a/cinstalled wrong duel fuel unit that was trying to burn propane through a natural gas orficeand wasted 2500.000 worth of propane over 4 months.i repetedly called thorntons and told them..tim himself came out and said the system was correct..i didnt beleive him so i hired a outside individual and immediately he saw the wrong orfices in uniti called them back and he came and switched out the entire unit ..but he even said he could fix that unit i said no i want a new one ..and i wanted all my money back that was wasted..he only gave 400.00 which was a slap in the face to what was spent and my kids freezing during the winter and to top it off the fools working for him left trash all under the house and the house has hot and cold spots all overand there is a leak in the a/c system somewhere that needs freon every yearthese people are very very inexperienced and will never do work for me ..although the contractor hired them..they are very inexperienced.i will even say this house is located in hillsborough nc so tim if you read this hello and i hope you know how to fix and install a/c units by now

Did some work for us at the office and the techs were very helpful and explained things in a way that I could understand. Fair pricing and they have not had to come back to fix the problem again.
