Although the pandemic slowed down the process due to shortage of supplies and workers, Ed, Katrina and Junior did the best they could to keep us informed and updated with emails, calls and Juniors frequent visits and overall are great to work with. I recommend working with the Lakeside pools team and just be aware that the pandemic has slowed down the process overall, not Lakeside pools but they still do the best they can with what they have. Also, they provide three months of service after install and do a great job at that! Thank you Ed, Katrina, Junior and service guys!

It has been 2 years and 5 days since we signed the contract (8/20/2019) and the pool is still not finished. Do yourself a huge favor and find an honest, reliable pool builder.DO NOT SIGN THEIR CONTRACT!! Worst mistake Ive ever made. 582 days have passed since we signed a contract (8/20/2019) with Lakeside Pools to build our dream backyard and we currently have a shotcrete shell and a yard that has been a danger zone to my family and pets for the last 10 months. 19 months since we hired Lakeside and if I had to guess I would say the project is currently about 45% complete. It is extremely rare that anyone from this company comes out to the jobsite. Contracted work was for $304,000, and I have spent an additional $39,000+ on BBQ equipment, lighting, trampoline, gas trench and sleeve, and other items. They say they cant get contractors to show up because of a shortage. If you would like your pool built anytime soon, avoid this company like the plague. What began as a dream has turned into an absolute nightmare due to incompetent mistakes, endless delays, and an absence of Lakeside Pools oversight that has caused unbearable stress on my family and many sleepless nights.

This is a joke we where told the pool would be done in 3 to 4 months tops. 9 months later we have a hole in the ground, trenches, rusted rebar, just a giant mess in our back yard. They have had excuse after excuse. Contractors never show when we are told. When they do they ask or tell us they are not going to finish wiring do to this or that. Not finish pluming the rest for what ever reason. The Super shows up an does nothing takes pictures on his phone. Makes empty promises. The office when e mailed, or called gets back to you when if ever they feel like it.This mess has tied our back yard for an entire 9 months an made it in accessible. It it a danger to our pets, our kids, and a Hazard to be around period! We have meet with aLawyer and turned over all copies of e mails texts msgs and contracts. We are processing and moving forward with a filling of a lawsuit. We took a loan with there loan company to have this done. We have been making payments and have no progress or fluid communication from them.Do yourself justice an research this company before going to them. Them are not what they appear. They are thief’s, liars, and scam artists. It’s a shame it has come to this. They came recommended by a very close associate. They did there pool and back yard years ago. An there description and experience was so much different. This company has fallen.

I had a contract with this pool company for building a pool 85 perimeter during Dec 2020. I had some job issues and wanted to cancel the project. But, they kept the project on hold and agreed it as well. After a month, things changed. I wanted to build a spacious pool with 100 perimeter. I removed some option that 5K worth on my old plan. 85 to 100 perimeter change costed like 12K which suppose to be 4-5K in the market. They are mentioning all labour and material costs are changed in one month interval. So, I asked them to cancel the project and move to another builder. But, they are asking me to pay the cancellation fee of 2500$. I already paid them 1000$ in advance too.  They havent done anything other than getting city permits and layout. Also, Im moving to another company just because its overpriced. I asked him to send the new estimate in detail to compare the costs. The manager replied saying that I have no intention of building a pool and he wont send me the new estimate.Also, they are very slow in process they took more than 3 months for the permit and the layout. They made mistakes in the layout and did it twice.

Unprofessional, lazy, produce sub-par finished product. And then stand by their crummy results claiming they are up to industry standards. Well if what we have is industry standards then a company should try to rise above the low standard that has been set. But I guess we shouldnt have expected better than average results from a company that runs on nepotism and excuses.

My wife and I are extremely happy with our beautiful Lakeside Pool. This was our 4th pool and by far the best experience. I highly recommend Lakeside Pools.

Mike worked with us to help design the pool that we had in mind. As a retired contractor and someone who spent his life in construction can tell you no job goes 100% perfectly. It is how a company deals with issues is how I rate them. And Lakeside dealt with the few things that arose without hesitation. It’s the final product that’s important, and Lakeside delivered.

Never show up when they say, give unrealistic completion dates. For a company that has been around a long time very unprofessional. Don’t waist your time and money using this company will only add aggravation to your life. Was told 4-6 months for completion and no where near being finished after 5 months. Just excuse after excuse. Telling us since we signed our contract the pool industry is booming and all pool companies are having the same problem....... I call BS. Sending emails for payments saying they can’t schedule the next step until it’s paid, once paid being informed they can’t schedule out at all with the sub contractors. Nothing but BS coming from this company. 7/14/21 Update...... almost 8 months in and still not complete. We finally got coping and decking started nearly 3 weeks ago after we had to choose another tile since no one at the company informed us they couldn’t get the travertine we chose back in January, there are many toe stubbers and Unflush spots throughout along with gaps between the tiles that need to come out and redone. Lakeside calls these repairs I call them initial installation f*ups. We were told a crew would be out last week or the week before but yet again no one shows up and there is no more communication. We have been told that we are tentatively scheduled for pebble on August 20 maybe sooner maybe later as stated in their email. We shall see.

Terrible business. Do not sign with this company. Worst mistake, if you want a pool anytime soon go somewhere else!

I love my pool so much, they nailed it! I have watch both my neighborhoods have pools built by other companies and their experiences were nightmares. I would just suggest do your own landscaping, that part was difficult.

It has been almost 6 months and our pool is still not done. Mistakes keep being made and setting back construction.Edit: They asked me to edit my review when the pool was finished. We were happy for a few days until the deck started cracking. Brand new decking looks five years old and all they give is excuses.Nepotism and laziness run the show.

The WORST customer service and inept individuals I’ve ever dealt with in a business. Excuse after excuse as to why our project is not finished after 6 months. Our backyard is a danger zone for our toddlers and I can’t believe this company is still in business. If you’re considering a pool, run far away from this incompetent company!

Im in the process of doing a pool and a landscape with lake side pools and they are doing a good job it was a bumpy road at first but Mike rogers really turned things around along with ed and rosey definitely a team effort thank you guys lets keep up the great work

We approached Lakeside Pools because we wanted to install a pool and new built in BBQ area. Lakeside helped us by going through the design and building process and providing recommendations which helped us make better decisions about what to select. The result was a pool that was done quickly, professionally and looks outstanding. One thing I liked was their how they were always in communication with us and the staff were very personable and easy to reach. I found the experience to be refreshing as they were always on top of the work needing to be done. I would recommend Lakeside Pools to people who are looking to build a pool.

I enjoy working with Vanessa at Lakeside pools. Everyone who I have worked with has been easy to work with, and clear about each step of the process. I would recommend them to my friends and family looking for a pool builder here in Arizona!

Though it took a long time and the experience was not without bumps in the road, I am staying true to my word and updating my original 1 star review because they come back and fix the pavers and the turf. We are now just waiting on a missing part for our fountain that we have emailed them for twice over a month ago. Happy this is over and that lakeside pools resolved our concerns.

I would do NO stars if I could. Huge lack of communication and once they do respond they dont acknowledge most of your concerns and what they do respond to likely will be wrong. Extremely long delays, pool took over 7 months to complete. Work was not done well and we had to fight to get things corrected. I have copies of emails showing their lack of concern and how they ignore many of the customers concerns. I have pictures of the work they insisted was right and how we had to fight to get it corrected. Our pavers have now sunk and theyre uneven. Do yourself a favor and use another company. I would NEVER use them again. Sadly I referred my sister in the very beginning before they broke ground and she had several problems as well. My in laws used presidential and were done in 6 weeks with great customer service.

Just got our pool and backyard finished. Everything looks so beautiful, we feel like we have a resort backyard. Lakeside did a great job! They always were quick to answer any questions we had throughout the process, explained everything, and constantly kept us updated. We would definitely recommend Lakeside. UPDATE: Its been and year now, and we still LOVE our pool!!

We love our Lakeside pool! The project was finished on time and on budget. From design to finish the process was smooth and the quality of work was excellent. Lakeside Pools did an AWESOME job with our pool. From planning the size and layout of the pool, to working through the installation process, everything was first class. Great communication and customer service from start to finish. To top it off, when the pool was completed it turned out better than my wife and I imagined!

Lakeside Pools did a good job with our project. We are happy with the end results. The office staff were always a pleasure to work with. Site management of the projects has room for improvement however. Small things were overlooked but were eventually corrected after working with the company.

The staff gives updates regularly on the process of the pool, since as a customer I do not know how a pool is build. When I had a question, they were right there to answer my questions and reassure me that the process is on schedule. If there were any delays, they would call and let us know. GREAT PEOPLE I would recommend Lakeside Pools to anyone who wants a beautiful pool. We absolutely love our entire backyard that was designed, engineered and completed by Lakeside.In my opinion, what separates Lakeside from other pool companies is (#1) the companys integrity and professionalism, and (#2) the materials they use for the pool is commercial quality vs. residential quality material.A prerequisite on moving to the Phoenix area included a pool. We got estimates from 3 firms and we selected Lakeside. Mike Roberts designed our pool and hardscape when we met with him in the Lakeside office on Bullard He provided the estimate and we signed it that same day. We were told to anticipate an 8-12 week project to completion and were also told the hardscape crews are often backlogged. The project began the last week of April and we were swimming on July 28 for a 13 week project. Everything went very well, except for the hardscape which took about 4 weeks. The hardscapers were called off our job for a couple days to work on another project and at times were simply no shows. Its clear they didnt have enough hardscapers to cover the ongoing projects. While that part was frustrating, the rest of the project was quite smooth. Our pool project superintendent, Coty, was very good throughout as was Rosy, our in-office communications contact. Coty and Rosie kept us informed and Coty came by often to check the progress and quality of the construction. At the end of the pool project we contracted with Lakeside to do our landscaping around the pool. They completed the landscaping without issue.We love our beautiful backyard and spend as much time there as we can - thanks to Lakeside Pools.

Had a really good experience from start to finish. We kept informed through out the entire process. Pricing was fair as well. Looking to use for landscaping as well.

This is not a reliable company. After we signed the contract, there was very little communication to us about the process. We had multiple issues/delays during the construction of our pool. The timeline took weeks longer than it should have (their excuse was weekends are not included in this time frame). Our first city inspection did not pass due to Lakeside not advising us of what we needed to do. The pump was faulty and had to be replaced (issue should have been found by Lakeside prior to waiting until a month later). We have had decking issues (collapsing tiles) which we were told would be fixed but never were. We were supposed to have 90 days of maintenance included during which our pool turned green (we bought our own chemicals to fix). We also have had sewer problems since the installation due to the excavation company damaging our sewer line, which we have to pay for out of our own pocket. They did not take responsibility for any of these issues and blame the homeowner when something goes wrong. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Do not use this company, one of the guys they contracted out to help them took a dump in the park outside of our house in the middle of the day. There are kids riding around on bikes, my husband was playing with our dog outside and watched the whole thing. Unbelievable! My husband confronted the guy and told him to go clean it up, and the guy took a shovel and threw his poop in the portapotties that were right down the street

I first came across Lakeside pools when our neighbor had a pool put in by them. My husband and I were so extremely impressed by their work, we decided to go with them to have a pool installed. We went through the design process and created a pool that would meet our needs in our small backyard. We wanted a spool (spa/pool) because we didnt have a lot of space. So, we had a heating system put into our pool. Well, the trouble began when the concrete patio that we already had when the house was built, was supposed to be incorporated into the design of the pool so that it would not have to be removed. Well, for some reason, the height adjustment was never made, and the workers had to jack hammer and remove the concrete before they could install the tile decking. (We were not charged for this extra labor). Then, after the pool was built, I noticed that the jets that we had requested were never installed. Because of the issue, the owner offered free pool service for six months, and then offered to install the jets at a later time. Well, we have 3 dogs, and going back through construction was not going to be an option. So we decided to ask for a refund, and we were told that it really wouldnt cost that much to tear up the tile and lay new pipes, so it would be better to just extend the free pool service for up to a year. So we took that option, since it was the only one really available to us.I noticed some issues with the pool. First, our remote control no longer works (we have only had the pool for a little over 2 years), the automatic water fill equipment no longer works (this is the second one that we have had to replace), and for some reason, the chlorine is no longer circulating through the pool. I informed the cleaning guy that there seems to be an issue with the chlorine filtration system, and if he could take a look at it. Also, my pool keeps turning dark green because it is not being serviced properly. We have our house on the market and I have to text the cleaner when the last time it was that he was out because our pool is green, and I even sent him a picture of it. He said that he was sick one week, came out the one week, but our pool is only 5 ft deep and you cant even see the bottom ( I Would post the picture if I could).Long story short, this company is not reliable. They do design some beautiful pools, but there were too many mistakes along the way, and the pool service is less than something to be desired.Choose a different company.....

The excavation and shotcrete team was great. After that the work was average or below. The office staff didnt respond well to concerns or complaints. The salesman told us Lakeside uses copper for their water features which was an upgrade over the competition. We later learned he substituted plastic (to save us money) which is what the other company offered. The travertine work is very crude and they had to come a total of four times just to get it acceptable. There was a delay installing the cleaning heads and the pool got stains from dirt. We had to show management the stain and request an acid wash. Lakeside wasnt proactive on most concerns, we had to stay on top of every phase of construction.

We signed a contract with Lakeside Pools in January 2019, after a friend recommendation. We contracted them to complete a pool, hardscape, landscaping, and a built in fireplace and seating area. It is now the end of April 2019, and all we have completed in our back yard is a shotcrete shell of a pool. The red flags started early with our sales/superintendent Gary Steward and the lack of following through. Calls were not returned, dates were promised and missed over and over and over. On every call Gary claimed they are backed up, the industry is backed up, its peak season, etc. There was excuse after excuse. There is supposedly an assigned project manager, Katrina, who also calls and gives us dates of when crews will be out at our property. These dates have proven to not be accurate either. When we ask Gary about those dates/schedule, he has told us they (his project manager/office) dont know what they are talking about. He had given us the impression he was part owner of the company and had everything in control. We have now found out he is not part owner. We have now escalated these issues to his supervisor Ray. We have still not gotten a returned call, after multiple attempts. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We have recently found out they are not licensed and/or bonded to complete any masonry or landscaping. They have also failed to get backing as a company in the past.Signing a contract and trusting this company was a TERRIBLE mistake.5/7/19: UpdateOur situation with Lakeside Pools has gotten even worse. We escalated our issues by mentioning involving our attorney to drive resolution. The owner, David Lake, stopped by our home. He proceeded to tell us that the contract we signed only included pool construction. The additional items : landscaping, hardscape, fireplace, etc was not included in the contract. This was the first we heard of that. Every estimate, design plan, rendering, multiple conversations with Gary have details and prices of the above additional items. David said they estimate those cost for us (with no intention of completing them) to help the customer get financing. They will get the financing and then cut us a check back. The was NOT the perception or agreement we made. But they SCAMMED us! It is mentioned on the last page of the contract in small writing. That is how they beat the price of other companies. They were $9000 higher in the pool cost (in comparison to Cal Pools), but lied on the pricing of everything else to show a lower price overall. The entire time knowing they werent going to complete that work.We now cannot get them back to our house to complete the pool. It has been 52 working days and no one at our house. Our entire backyard is exposed with a large concrete hole.The owner David Lake is a Christian book author (available on Amazon). When we asked if he felt they way he was running his business was ethical and morally in line with his apparent religious views, he did not have a response.PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY ARE NOT TRUST-WORTHLY AND UNETHICAL!!!!
