Atmosphere was amazing, all the barbers had easy steady going vibes. A lot of the times it’s hard to find a barber shop at any day of the week that is not an appointment only establishment, it’s a little far out but trust me the wait is well worth it! I normally pay around $60-$70 at other establishments for what I get done and I paid $45 for exactly the same🙏🏽.

Proud to be going to a shop that is by the people for the people. When you see the logo, you know this is where an individual can start a new slate with a fresh cut, or keep it old school with the classic do. The moment you see that logo, you know youre going to step into something nostalgic yet different; youll see it once you step into the shop. The barbers are well knowledgable with all styles, they know how to communicate with the client, not only with their words, but speak louder with their cuts. I have yet to see an unhappy client. Love this barber shop for a few reasons.1 - James the owner is very meticulous and knows what hes doing. Ive followed him for at least 3 years now and Id highly recommend him to anyone.2 - The shop has good interior design and is very comfortable, while you wait to get your haircut. Great atmosphere, feels more like a gentlemans club than a regular barbershop.3 - All of the staff are very friendly and good at their jobs. When James or Jorge arent there Id feel pretty confident getting my haircut by the other barbers.4 - Its conveniently located on Litchfield Rd, in a small shopping center with several establishments where you can buy food or drinks before or after your appointment.Id definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

My son first got a haircut by nippers back in 2014 I love it so much that when nippers decided to open his own shop my husband and son stayed loyal clients and only get cut at Nipper Clippers Barbershop so I can imagine we arent the only loyal clients which should explain the wait time, understand when they do such a good job that people dont mind waiting for however how long it takes for you to be next that should tell you something and NO you dont have to be a certain ethnicity to get service or some type of acknowledgement, everyone is welcomed keep in mind that they are dedicated to what they do and are trying to service everyone so they do get busy and are attending to whoever is in their chair. This is a Barbershop NOT a Great-clips just as a remainder to those people who decided leave a 1 star review, actually get the service before the need to put a place down.

Guys are very down to earth and friendly environment. Owner James is very passionate about his work and his shop. Surprisingly, he has many historic pieces in the shop. Its a mix between low rider influence, historic pieces and a barber experience all in one. Make sure you come with time on your hand. These guys take their time cutting your hair. It is not a race like some other places that just want to get to the next customer. Loved the place and will be coming back.

Is was referred to Nippers Clippers and I am glad I was. I walked in and was pleased by the atmosphere it was very chill and loved the oldies they were playing.Being it was my first time there I was greeted and told to sign in. The barber that end up cut my hair is named James we had a good conversation as he was cutting my hair and he did an amazing job.Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely go back.Chicano Barbers!

Was afraid to visit this shop based on some reviews, I am so glad I did. Great atmosphere. George did an amazing job on my sons thin, fine blonde hair. Typical hour wait like any other barbershop.

They really take time to do the styling cut, I love the service there and the hair cut. They did a great job to cit my sons hair. At the back of the shop, they offer bottle water to customers, which is very essential for AZ customer.

Nippers Clippers is the best barber shop in Arizona, hands down. I get my hair cut by Jorge every other week and i have never been disappointed. You can see that every barber in the shop takes pride in their work and strives to make every cut their best cut yet. They all take the extra time to make sure you leave looking sharp. You will not regret walking through their doors. I have a very pick 14 year old son who has hated every haircut he has gotten in his life. We tried sports clips, Barbershop on Main in Verrado, and endless other hair chain places around and none of them can compare to they service we got here. You might not think much of it by just looking from the outside but once you decide to walk on...you will be hooked for life. Every gentleman that has given my son a cut has done a wonderful job, from the older gentleman on the first chair to the young one third chair down. So happy we stumbled upon this place. We are customers for life!

I’m really disappointed on how my first experience was. I really wanted to find a Barbershop that’s over the top in cutting hair and customer service for a good price and I seen this shop on YouTube and the interview with the owner and I really was inspired by how he talked and his mind set for his people and barbers. And that he’s looking for ambitious and inspirational barbers and I was hoping they lived to expectations but it’s sad to say the owner is still struggling with finding the right people. And I understand that there are clients and its pack, but the barbers need to understand that if the owner isn’t there they still need to represent the shop. They need to learn to welcome anyone that walks into that door, not only to the people they know. They should make sure customers are ok for the wait because some people just don’t have time. But for my experience I walked in and wasn’t acknowledged I wasn’t greeted Nothing. I just walk-in sat down, then I was told I needed to sign in and me as a new customer, a new face that no one seen before. I should of been told “Hello we do sign ins” or something, instead nothing was said at all and I mentioned that it was my first time in. And on the list there was 4 names ahead and I was thinking ok it should be about an hour maybe, an hour an half but No, I waited and there was people walking in and didn’t sign in and there getting cut before I did and I was getting upset inside, I didn’t know what I should do, should I just wait or just go. And Ik this shop don’t do appointments because in the interview he said walk-ins only, we don’t do appointment. And me I just couldn’t do it I had to leave even though I waisted 2 hours I just said I’m not waiting while others are getting a haircut. It’s just disappointing to know that the Barbers expect respect and for the customers to know what’s going on. To be honest that’s not how it works because as a Barber you are service to the people and communication to a customer is everything especially if it there first or tenth time walking in. And I’m sorry if the shop employees are upset with this but it’s the truth because there giving our Chicano’s a bad Reputation!

Be warned! You will never visit another barber again! First of all, location is a bit hidden in a shopping center where it has a few vacancies. Their A-frame sign is the only thing that helped me see where they were. Ive had a couple ok haircuts around the valley, but nothing too standout. Well for the first time in a long time I was shocked at how good a job Jesse did! Exactly how I wanted to look, excellent haircut and also took the time to understand how I wanted it cut. Very detailed and perfect fade. Im very happy. I live 30 mins away and I guarantee I will drive down every time if my hair will be cut this good! Guys, dont hesitate here, laid back vibe and everyone seems cool.

I have come here a little while now. Very talented barbers here. I have to say though. More and more Im disappointed with the way its ran. Most of the times I come. There is only 2 barbers not sure why. Sometimes there are more like 3 or 4 but thats very rare. All the barbers with the exception of the owner, love to chit chat, talk on their cellphones, chat with other patrons, tell inappropriate storys and use explicit language when kids and women are around while you are in the chair. A simple beard trim takes these gentleman 45 min to an hr to do. I can appreciate someone not rushing it and doing a good job. But I dont feel like they think about their patrons lifestyle or schedules. Everytime I have been here, I have spent 2 hrs atleast waiting before I get in a chair. The longest...3-1/2 hrs waiting. More than half that is because they jibber jab. One of my kids even came and told me one of the barbers appeared to do a drug deal while he was in the chair right in front of him. Super disappointed. I dont know if the owner is aware of any of this, but I hope he reads this and makes some changes. I dont think Ill be back. Please realize, your customers time is just as valuable as yours. 2-3 and 4 hrs to get a hair cut or a beard trim even when you have 4 barbers running at the same time is poor practice. I would think that you would make more money doing less talking and keep more customers happy and around if you all did. It really sucks because I really liked this place. Again, very talented and very fair prices,Always clean.

Nippers Clippers are new here on the West Side his shop is nice n very comfortable, clean. James took his time and gave me a clean haircut n clean beard shave. Just what I was looking for. Definitely this is my place from here on out .

If you are not a Chicano you are not welcome here. If youre white, they wont even speak to you. We waited for over an hour and no one ever acknowledged us or said hello. It became apparent that none of the four Barbers was going to assist us so we left. I will tell all of my CHICANO friends of their poor service.
