The techs were wonderful. Diagnosed and ordered parts. The problem was getting parts. I had an open service ticket from Jan to July for a door gasket. The part was ordered but arrived in the wrong color. I opted to reorder for the right color thinking surely it will get here timely. Not only did it not come ..I was told weeks later they never had the part in that color. I was given an appt and the promise of discount. The appt was put off an additional week. The cost for repair is also pretty steep. Sears used to be the best . What going on!

So, initially, the service was good. Booked online, got a response, everything was on schedule. This is where it stops. The technician shows up as scheduled, looks at fridge and tells me I need new Compressor. This is fine. The fridge is old, so with the repair being over $700 bucks, I ask him if he feels, in his professional opinion, its something I should do. No help at all. Do you want me to do it or not? I should have stopped, but with no fridge, Im kind of of in a pinch, so I said repair. He fixed and went on about the day. some 3 days later, the fridge is cooling, but ice maker, which was working just 5 days prior, is no longer working. I call to make another appointment and specifically ask if ill be charged the $149 fee to come out and get my fridge 100% working like I wanted the first time. I was told the fee would be waived. Fast forward to today, almost 3 weeks later, tech calls me and is very argumentative, Frank was his name. Telling me, Im going to pay the fee and that its not his fault the ice maker was not working when he left, was he supposed to wait to make sure everything was working? Thats what he asked me. umm, yeah, thats your freaking job dude. So, then, I call and ask to speak to a supervisor, and get put on hold for 15min. I finally get through and someone who I can understand gets on the phone telling me she will reschedule the appointment for next week. I can only understand every 3rd word. I politely asked for someone I could understand and she said there wasnt anyone else. If this is how you all are going to run your business, this will be the next division to go under. Sorry for the bad review, but this was absolutely the worst customer service Ive had in a long time.Thanks,bruce

Dont have them look at grills, a total rip-off. Service call was quoted at $89 at time I made appointment. Technician showed up, openedgrill, and in less than two minutes said it was fine, closed the grill, told me service charge was $100 (not the $89 quoted) and tacked on $24 additional for his time. He was here 5 minutes, did nothing, and charged me $124. Never again. If you like getting ripped off, use this company. If you want integrity and professionalism, look elsewhere.

The person making the appts and the tech who did repair were both very polite and responsive. They called ahead of the appt time as promised and were here on time. Repairs were made in timely manner. The only complaint I have is I signed up for a home service contract and was told the contract would be e-mailed to me in a few minutes. I still do not have the contract with details

Not a timely initial response. Parts that were ordered were not delivered nor installed on the date promised (in fact were over a week later then the promised date). Initial serviceman did not check the water supply hose that may have been the total problem. Initial serviceman was more interested in selling me the Sears Home Service Plan then the service. Second service man did a good job.

Grill repair service ended up more as a consultation to check status of my Charbroil Infrared Grill but it was worth the cost. Service rep was on time, friendly, and thorough. Gas grills can be dangerous in the hands of idiots so I appreciated the assistance.

NO! NO! NO!If I could give less than 1 star I would!!Had an scheduled appointment between 1pm-5pm. At 5 oclock I call to check on the technician to see where they are. I was told he is running behind and it would be between 550-615. At 630 I call back and they tell me that the technician came at 5 oclock and that no one was home!?!?!!!! 😠 And the technician is not in the area anymore 😠😠. I was home all day and we have cameras on the house, so I know they just flat out lied!!! This company is worthless! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! also all the customer service agents that you have to talk with are not in the United States nor do they have any in the States!!

The work got done quickly and expertly. The diagnostic was a little pricey ($99) and the job was only labor only ($110) for a 30 minutes of work (still pricey), but I was very pleased to get my tractor running so quickly. Its nice that the Sears vans come with tools and likely parts. The only reason this wasnt a 5 star review is because the initial booking window was 8a-5p. They did a good job communicating more specific time line on day of and calling ahead of arrival, but I would have liked to have a better approximate time from the get go.

This is the short version: Horrible communication and customer service! They botched the first repair attempt and as it turns out never used the new part we ordered. Who knows what happened to that? They had to order another and schedule another repair date. They could never seem to schedule one less than a week out. If youre looking for a quick fix, forget it! Finally, after a month the repair was completed successfully. Then they screwed the bill up and I am still dealing with them on fixing it and I keep getting the run-around. I will NEVER use Sears again!

The Sears technician did an excellent job in checking all our appliances. He did find a drawer on our refrigerator that wasnt closing correctly and reset that. He also found a burner that was going out on our stove and he replaced the part. And he discovered our dishwasher was not heating properly and he replaced the board on that. We were very pleased with his professional manner and how he made sure we were totally back as good as new on all our appliances.

Other than not getting the call that the tech was on the way - service was exceptional - but what Ive always expected from Sears. White glove service from removing shoes to enter the house to covering the area where he was working, the technician not only did the job right but explained every part of the process to me as well as showed me some additional preventive maintenance tips to keep my appliance running at its best. Very professional and courteous. Very informative. Great guy and a great representative of Sears Appliance Repairs. Will definitely use them again.

The repair man arrived soon after we received a call to tell us he would be here within an hour. He was very polite and nice, found the problem very efficiently and had it repaired very quickly. We were very satisfied with the service. The only negative was that it was about 3 weeks before we could get an appointment scheduled, but it was not an emergency. Assume if it had been, they would have tried to get it scheduled in a more timely manner.

Richard was fantastic! He was very courteous, called when he was on his way, and knew exactly what he was doing. When he discovered that parts were needed, he described to my husband that 2 boxes would arrive, a big one and a small one, and said he would be back the following week to install the parts. Everything was just as he said and now my washer is as good as new. We couldnt be any happier with the service provided by Richard!

I had asked for a technician that could repair my Kenmore vent hood, and the guy that showed up said he has never worked with vent hoods, and he said no one at Sears repair could fix it. Then he recommended I try another repair company. So, my vent hood never got fixed that day.

Very pleased with my Sears Appliance repair on my 20 year old heavy duty washer. The fill-pressure switch was bad. The first time the service man came he tested the problem, ordered the correct part, made a follow up appointment to install it. The part was delivered to my home via UPS several days later and a week later the serviceman came back to my home, installed it, tested it, it worked great and asked me if there was anything else I needed. Both trips were covered under the initial 89.00 service call. The serviceman also called me when he was on his way. I appreciated that very much. Very pleased with the service.

The technician came and never even checked inside the refrigerator. He took one look at it as said we needed a new board - $198. Of course, he didnt have one with him and we would have to order it, but if he had to come back and put it in it would be another $95 charge and another 7 - 14 days before he could return. Seriously? Who can live without a refrigerator for 14 days during Christmas!! The other option was to order the part and put it in ourselves. We chose that option. He showed us where to put in the board. The board came and when we opened the compartment we discovered that a fuse had blown. Went to the store, purchased a $5 fuse, put it in and the refrigerator started right up. It has ran fine now for the last few days. We will be returning the $198 board that we do not need.For a $95 service call he should have taken the five minutes to at least look inside the refrigerator to properly diagnose the problem.

I had a Maintenance check which I pay quite a bit of money per year for on my dryer on 1/5 w Chris. He said everything was fine with my dryer. I explicitly asked him to check if there was a lot of lint that could hamper the drying time. That night I go to use it and its blowing cold air. They send another Tech Ash to repair it. Ash was really surprised that I had just had Maintenance done on the dryer because it was loaded with lint. He used a vacuum to clean it out! The two stars isnt for Ash, he was great. It is for Chris who didnt do his job. Chris was more interested in getting me to resign my contract for my Masters agreement apparently then doing his job!! Not a happy Sears Customer!

The repair man was nice, but I was under the impression he was supposed to clean the washer, make sure it was balanced, and run a diagnostic on it. All he did was run the diagnostic. When I asked about the cleaning, he said you dont have to clean washers, just dryers. He said everything was working fine on the diagnostic and then left. I kind of feel like I got skirted on part of my warranty guarantees. Either that, or the person who sold the warranty lied when she said what all came with the yearly check-ups just to tack on more money to the initial bill.

The repair service was right on. The only downside is that they give you a 4 hour window. The repairman was knowledgeable and able to fix the problem quickly and kept me apprised of everything he was doing. He also helped me learn how to better maintain my washer in the future.

Time window when the technician was scheduled to arrive was from 8am - 5pm, which is a joke!! Called around noon to get an updated time (since no one had showed up yet) and they said it would be around 4. The technician called at 2:30 and said if he cant come now wed have to reschedule...how very nice.The repairman said that we could pay $249 a year since our 3 year old fridge was out of the initial 1 year warranty. When he explained that it was the motherboard, we asked if that would have been covered under the extended warranty and he said - no. So we paid $568 to have the most common problem fixed (according to the repair guy) since everything else was in working order.... Apparently the most common issue was NOT what was wrong with our fridge. Called back the following day to schedule ANOTHER appointment after everything melted in the freezer. The earliest appointment we could get was 6 days later which makes me think the only day they do repairs is on Thursday.I do not recommend, the only reason were calling Sears is because the fridge has a 5 year warranty on the evap cooling system which I believe is causing our fridge to have intermittent melt downs. Call a local - unless you have a warranty.... but then again, IT MAY NOT EVEN BE COVERED! HA.

Upon initial call for a service repair the first available appt was a week away. They canceled the appt from Friday to Saturday then canceled that appt and it was another week before they were able to reschedule. The repair tech did arrive and fix the appliance. It is not his fault but there needs to be a better process in place to assure more timely repairs.

Freezer flooding into refrigerator and on floor. First day (Good Friday), repairman running late... and after telling the dispatch we were closing at noon that day, I had to reschedule for Monday. Repairman came b/n 8-noon on Monday. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and used silver tape to make the repair (I hope it holds) instead of parts. The entire process cost $240 -- for 15 minutes and some silver tape.

Our freezer stopped working and was making a clicking noise. The first service man diagnosed it as a relay switch, part ordered. Second repair man came out - the relay switch that was ordered was not the correct one for the freezer. He messed with the existing relay switch, then said it was the thermostat, part ordered. He came back out a week or so later and installed the thermostat and said it was working. The freezer is still at 60 degrees! I am beyond frustrated. Both repair visits seemed to cost more ($225) than the value of the freezer ($169) itself! Now I have to have another repair man out to again see what is wrong. Apperantly they can’t replace the compressor as the coolant used in this unit is no longer legal. This has been a huge waste of my time and energy and I still don’t have a functioning freezer. Each visit they send a different repair man, which doesn’t seem to help.

After a 5 minute visit was told my dryer needed a new motor. I had to take off a second day for the motor to be installed. I dried one load of clothes the next day and then put in a second load and the dryer would not work. The same problems existed. I called to get a repairman to come out...was told it would be a week before one could come. I explained the situation and was told it would still be a week (or a month if I wanted a Saturday appointment). I called a local repairman. The entire problem was a wiring short in the on switch to the drum motor. It was not the motor as initially thought by the Sears repairman. After paying over $400 total for service calls, parts, and labor the total cost for making the correct repair was $104. Sears refuses to credit my charge account. I plan to pay off my Sears charge to the amount that I have been charged on my card and stop paying. It is no wonder Sears is a company on the brink of going under.

This was a disaster, Came to fix the fridge told us compressor was fine, needed a new starter. We waffled deciding whether to buy a new fridge from Sears or fix it. Went to Sears to find out the coupons we were given do NOT work at the Sears outlet, contrary to what we had been told. So we decided to repair the old one. Cant do that without another visit and another diagnostic charge (this is all within 24 hrs). Call a real local repair place and find out it IS the compressor that is bad. Stay far far away from this service place.

The service was great. However, the tech ended up billing my debit card twice for the amount. I spoke to customer service and they were useless. The person barely understood English and continued to read the script. After 30 minutes I asked for a supervisor and the same thing happened. The customer service was horrible and based on that I would not do business with Sears again. I would not recommend Sears because of the poor customer service

This has been such a frustrating experience for us. We purchased the full warranty on our refrigerator to help us during times like this. Ours broke and is blowing hot air. First call in we waited 1.3 hours to get someone, then the phone tech diagnosed it over the phone and sent us a DRAWER as the replacement part. Seriously? Then in house tech has come 3 times now, worked for hours each visit, leaving telling us it was done. Only to find 6 hours later, when the fridge still wasnt cooling that it was broken still. We have lost all food. Sears was kind to give us a dorm fridge....a dorm fridge. They also kindly offered food reimbursement...in ONE MONTH! so we have to wait a month to get it. But that is ok, because the in house tech is coming out AGAIN to fix it and I am quite sure he wont. So even in a month when we get our money, we wont have a fridge to store the food in. We asked for a new fridge after all of this hassle and were told no, that a tech has to come out 4 times AND replace a part. Ours is a gas leak they are fixing with a blow torch. So that means, by their requirements, that a tech can come out 100 times and use his blow torch and never replace a part and we still dont qualify for a new one. all the while we are going with no fridge and no food. Really bad service. I do not blame this location specifically, they have been friendly and working within the requirements sears sets for them. I will never buy another sears appliance again.

The repair parts were not available for my Maytag washing machine so my Sears warranty provided me with $$ to replace. Although my warranty plan provides for full replacement if unable to fix, the amount of money was not enough (covered only about 70%) to find a suitable replacement at the nearest Sears store and they did NOT carry (and they would not order) my preferred brand, Maytag - I had to go out of pocket to find an equivalent Kenmore washing machine. Delivery was very quick, within 2-days, but the delivery was made by an outsourced company who simply put the new washer in place, plugged it in and left. They didnt even turn it on to ensure it worked and was installed correctly and they didnt answer any questions; they were it too much of a hurry to leave. They didnt secure the drain hose in place as required by Sears so I had to do this myself after they left. The most positive thing was the Sears store sales representative who was knowledgeable and spent enough time with us in selecting a new machine. Overall, Im generally disappointed with Sears on this transaction. It should of been a much better experience.

Freezer failed Jun5th on my Kenmore Elite 2 year old unit. Immediately ordered a compressor for next day air to be delivered on June 7th. Called every day and promised it will arrive tomorrow. Parts told me that his refrigerator had two compressors. It just had one and it was delivered on 6/13 that day after my emergency service call from the 5th. The tech diagnosed the need for a compressor even though it was still cooling except in the freezer. My next appointment was the 19tn. Two technicians arrived without looking at the compressor. Told us that it was the compressor and it would be expensive. They would not tell us the price until done. When we asked how can it be cooling if the compressor has failed. So they charged us $808.41. They could not get the unit to start blowing cold air. It was just as before. My next appointment is 6/25/2018. I have tried 5 calls to supervisors, chat and even tried to get a refund. Sears told me that they had done nothing wrong and we were not eligible for a refund. I do not have any faith that the technician can repair it since he spent 3 and a half hours with his tech support and told us that her knew nothing about electronics. This tech started training on Monday of this week and was sent to fix the unit that two techs could not fix the week earlier. 20 days to repair a refrigerator and they did not find this unusual. 4 $99.00 service calls. Hour of time trying to get them do what the promised. Could not have had a worse experience and it not over yet...

We were having an issue with our dishwasher and scheduled a service call to have it diagnosed / fixed. The service tech came and told us it needed a new pump - $585. The service charge was $59. Got a second opinion from another firm and the second firm found some little pieces of eggshells blocking the holes on the spray arm. Removed the little pieces of eggshells and the dishwasher is working again. Glad I didnt replace the pump (or dishwasher).

Excellent service, completed repair in a short amount of time and repairman was very professional. Only criticism I would have is that I took a half day from work to wait for the 4 hour service window and the rep got tied up on another job and got there around 6:40 PM and time slot was 1-5. That shows me that the repairmen may be stretched too thin and maybe hiring additional headcount in our area would cease that problem. It was not the repairmans fault, that was Sears office issue.

Everything was great! Very friendly and did a great job installing! The only complaint (and I hate to say this) but he reeked of cigarettes and it wasnt pleasant. Otherwise I was very happy!

The Sears technician was great! He diagnosed the problem and had my dryer fixed in less than 30 minutes. This is why I buy Sears Kenmore products, because theyre American made and the repair techs have most of the parts in their trucks.

The gentleman who came to our house to perform maintenance was professional, definitely knew his stuff; and was in & out in 20 min. The only issue I have is the fact that we had to be home literally ALL day. Sears could not pin down the visit closer than from 8 am to 5 pm . . . even the day before. He didnt arrive until 4:45 pm; so someone had to be home ALL day.

Was denied any repair with grill being under warranty, burners had lifetime warranty, was told good luck by service repair man. I purchased an extended warranty on this grill, 5 year. Grill has been rebuilt once before. Kenmore quality not so good, social media here I come.

Having a contract with A & E Appliance Repair/Sears has been quite beneficial. When one of my appliances has an issue, I dont have to search around to find a repairman. I call Sears/A & E and boom. Except the boom isnt that immediate. Its the time factor that subtracts from the 5-star rating. The techs know what theyre doing; unfortunately, the company assumes the consumer knows nothing.Most recently I called A & E re my refrigerator. It either needed the door control panel or the main control panel replaced, the latter being the more suspect. The first appt they would give me was 9 days out. That is unacceptable. One can hand-wash dishes; one can hang clothes to dry. What one cant do is prepare meals without a refrigerator.The repair appt day finally arrived. (Wed been living out of coolers as best we could, but most of our food had to be discarded.). The tech arrived more than an hour past the scheduled 4-hour window, stayed 10 minutes, announced the fridge needed either a main control panel or a door control panel (Does this sound familiar?), ordered both parts, schedule another appt -- another 2 weeks out, and departed.The tech (a different one) who came 2 weeks later replaced the main panel. He was knowledgeable & professional & efficient. He communicated well. The fridge works fine. I salute the techs. Its the system I question. One would think sending 2 techs on different occasions would be more costly, as is not listening to the consumer. Prioritizing appliances needs to be considered. Forewarning the consumer that it will take weeks to repair the fridge & providing a rental would enhance the service exponentially.

Had issue with refrigerator ice and water in the door not working properly. First guy came on 8/5 and worked on it and then told us we needed a plumber to adjust the water pressure and charged us $92.85. He said after we got the plumber out he would be back and we would only pay for the part at that time. Plumber came and charged $350.00, then the next Sears guy came on 8/9 and charged us $119.00 for labor and $115.00 for the part. I told him what the last guy said about only paying for the part but he said he could not do that. They even told me when I made the appointment that we would only be charged for the part.
