I have a friend who has been trying to cancel his subscription. And instead of them cancelling, they charge every month! Terrible. Would not recommend! I just want to know how that can be fixed and why nobody has fixed it yet?

As a former employee as well, I DO NOT ADVISE people to come here to work out.The management of this gym is completely toxic and we are dealing with a liar. While working here at phoenix fitness I was cheated out of my hours due to my own safety?!The manager/owner who is Quintano Drake who says he is the owner when in reality he is NOT the owner! This man has degraded and completely disrespected his employees including myself. This man talks down to all of the members who do come in and work out and making the environment toxic and unhealthy. He DOES NOT encourage his members he PUTS DOWN his members by making disrespectful comments about them while working out. This man has also made disrespectful comments about my own appearance and body image to my former employees who had recently reached out to me to discuss his prior actions of completely unacceptable behavior! What owner/manager degrades and disrespects his employees?? THIS MAN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE MEMBERS!!! To any new hires or members of this gym PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE! WE ALL DESERVE BETTER AND TO BE TREATED BETTER!

Ive been attending this gym for about two weeks straight now and Ive really been enjoying it. Its extremely spacious, theres a variety of machines, a womens only section, sauna, massage chairs, and a full basketball court. The music playing throughout the gym is always great. I really enjoy not being surrounded by airheads who show up to stare at themselves in the mirror for an hour. The members here really want to make a difference for themselves. My only complaint is the water fountains are disgusting...if someone could clean and unclog those regularly thatd be nice.. please and thank you.

As a former employee of Phoenix fitness I advise no one and I mean NO ONE should do business here with them. Don’t get a gym membership here because all I’ve learned is that it’s shady business and don’t even think about working here.

Please Pay Attention !! These place has the worst and most unethical business practices ! I only used my membership 2 times and call in 2 times to cancel . Came in 2 times to cancel, only to be told I need to see a manager who is not here ! I came back and spoke with a manager who told me they charge me account for a WHOLE ANOTHER month, I decided at the time to cancel for the end of next month . However I come in and they give me ANOTHER balance thst I have to pay before I can cancel ! So far I gave this gym over 300$ DOLLARS and used the service ONCE or TWICE but CAN NOT cancel because of 40$. They then told me they will send it up to have it cancelled now ! However the keep trying to charging my account for what went from 30$ to now 100$ for a gym service I havent used and been BEGGING to cancel ! WHY AM I FORCED TO KEEP PAYING ALL THESE MONThs? I feel SO LOW AND EMBARRASSED ! I’m an adult who is being force to pay and keep a membership I been tryin to cancel for months ! It’s emotional distress to the max !

I’ve had good experiences here. I like the gym setup, clean locker rooms and showers, and it’s not super crowded. No complaints!

The gym is spacious. However, I am not happy with their service when handling the payment. Before we upgraded it, we asked them how many days notice that we need to give them if we want to downgrade it (I am leaving). They said we could walk in anytime to downgrade it. We did, even with a few days (3-4 days) notice before the payment date. However, they still charged us at the highest rate.

I been going here for about a year. I just recently switched to another gym. The reasons I switched because I felt the equipment never got cleaned. They set out 2 rags for 2 diff stations and expects everyone to use the same rags to wipe down there equipment before and after use. Sometimes looks like the same rags for couple days. I asked why they dont have paper towels and they say because it cost to much. It would be a nice gym if it was sanitary. Deffff dont drink out the water machinesss!! Peace out phoenix fitnesss!!!

Very big planet fitness. Large locker rooms five shower stalls clean bathrooms water was pretty hot. Drip from above style shower with the privacy walls. Clean, well organized, good social distancing, huge parking lot pretty slow on A Thursday afternoon

Sadly had to cancel but I would like to say that this is the best gym I have ever joined. Always clean and never crowded. Good music and amazing customer service. The owner was very professional and friendly. . He made me feel very welcome. I will join again once I am able to. Easy to sign up and easy to cancel. I recommend this gym!

Nice, very clean gym, and not crowded like the big chains. Reasonable membership fees. Met the owner, Q, today, and he was so friendly, professional, and accommodating. He mentioned that Gov. Ducey sent him a personal letter stating that the gym was the cleanest he has seen in the state! Definitely recommend this great facility, especially during these crazy times, we all need to be supporting local businesses!

Very friendly staff and owner. Members are always greeted when walking in and appreciated when leaving. Very clean equipment and good amount of people to not have to wait for equipment. Wesley is super cool and makes everyone feel welcomed by being genuine and funny. Where are the 22.5lb dumbels and inclined back extension to do obliques though????Love to workout and then dance a little before taking off.

I have been with this gym for a while now. I moved out of state and called about some information. Normally I would of given 5stars but Michelle was very rude over the phone and only semi helpful. She even gave me wrong information She should of left the attitude at the door. However, after talking to James and Q everything got squared away in a professionalmanner. I joined and am leaving satisfied even after that minor bump.

The equipment is well maintained and they never seem too busy. However, very poor customer service received from management. Gross incompetence from them when trying to cancel my membership. Unbelievable!

Look for another gym there billing system is difficult and alway end up getting more then what they say they are charging. Oh and once you upgrade your gym membership, there is no downgrading your stuck until you cancel it and get new membership from what they told me . Unfortunately this gym has a lot to offer .

Locker room is nice. Front desk people are cool. I swim laps at the pool. Nice gym.

Great gym, great price not overcrowded

I’ve been coming to this gym for a little over a year and love it. Always clean and it’s big. I’ve never been very fond of the employees that have worked here. Majority of them need a lesson on how to be professional. This time Brandon helped me and he was very informative, helpful, super kind, and actually seemed like he enjoyed his job.

Literally go to any gym other than this one. My brother got a better deal at Esporta with guests and all Esporta locations around the US at less than I did here without a guest. The equipment is subpar. When there was a problem with my cancellation, they didn’t even call me to tell me about. Other than that, Michelle and the other staff were nice when I double checked my cancellation, but everything else is worse than other Gyms like Esporta and EOS

I opened my membership at Phoenix Fitness 2 months ago and I am LOVING it... My kids always have fun at the kids club area, the only thing I ask for is for the AC to be cooler in there. Other than that it is great!!. The girls are always so welcoming and nice. The gym has great equipment and great staff. I highly recommend Phoenix Fitness :)

I just signed up a week ago. I got the diamond pass. Kinda exspensive. But overall its a nice place to work out. Not crowded like other gyms.

I’ve been working out here since April and have really enjoyed it. The machines are always clean and free to use. The equipment is good quality, and the staff are super friendly. I do wish they had a purified water fountain though.

Charging $16.39 for a day pass is insane, especially after I showed them a free 3 day pass I got off their own website to try the facilities but they told me it wasnt valid. I only paid because me and my friends already had plans to go here. The basketball court has slippery and hot. Just watch out when visiting may get charged extra.

Love it here! My aunt and I have been coming here for over a month now and we love it! The staff is very friendly and always attentive. They also keep it very clean! Very satisfied. Would definitely recommend.

Outstanding gym. Super clean. Like the cleanest most sanitary gym I’ve been. Very affordable rates including packages for personal training & to bring a friend. Unlike some of the other gyms it doesn’t get too crowded. Even at peak time I never have to wait for equipment. The pool is the best I’ve seen for lap swimming in the valley, & there is an excellent aquatics class, the teacher is great. Hot tub. Separate make and female saunas. There’s a women’s workout area and a private workout are option. Very pleasing and latest equipment. They literally have everything. Sleds, platform, Olympic weighted and i forget the names of the new machines that are so fun to use, they won’t let you cheat but reduce pain. The gym is welcoming to kids. My boys love it. A play area for kids care is there. Also there is basketball science classes most evenings for kids, so cool. The staff is very friendly, humble, not pushy, & just cool. There’s a great attitude in the gym, no egos. Very encouraging & inviting for any level of fitness. Very safe and comfortable for woman. There is just plenty of space. At EOS or other gyms like that the environment & attitudes aren’t as pleasant and everything is crammed in a crowded. Also included in memberships are the use of massage chairs. Please join this gym. I’d love to see you there and meet you. You won’t regret joining.

This place is good for workouts, but the children center is somewhat okay.I get help her pretty often as well which is good.They have an indoor swimming pool and sauna.

This new gym is very nice and well laid out. It has a lap pool with water aerobics classes as well as a full court basketball court in addition to all the machines and weights. There is more available so check it out. My insurance nurse referred me to this gym and Im glad she did.

Horrible. Random charges, even after cancellation (which takes multiple attempts, I guess... going 7 months since my original request to cancel my membership and hundreds of dollars later). Poor management and less than ethical accounting practices. Lies, incompetent staff/owner, questionable actions by all parties involved. Would not recommend this gym to anyone.

I’ve been asked to write a review of Phoenix Fitness in Glendale Arizona since I became a member when the club first opened in early February 2019. I initially joined with the intent of making this my secondary fitness club and opted for the less expensive membership. In observation of seeing how hard the staff worked and there attentive response to my needs I changed my enrollment to the premium membership. Now a month later I have elected to discontinue the other health club membership and make this my only health club. The club has a lot of new technology as far as machine equipment and a great deal of the standard barbells and dumbbells. The club is best suited for beginners to advanced level fitness members. There is plenty of space between the equipment and the benches are not secured to the floor. This makes it more convenient to adapt the benches with other machines, power racks, etc. in the club. Phoenix Fitness also has other amenities such as basketball court, spin rooms, variety of aerobic machinery, a pool and Jacuzzi and ultimately a movie room with aerobic machines. Since I’m old school and have only interest in strength equipment I do not use much of this other equipment. They also have a sectioned off area for women only exercise equipment. Personally, I feel all equipment should be available to all members.Currently this club attendance is not extremely busy in the morning when I train, but I can foresee this changing. This stated I believe more free weights will then need to be added and I would like to see some optional bars for cable machines added. I also believe that the pool and the Jacuzzi could be warmer. Additionally, the showers in the locker room do not get very hot and you have to let them run for a while to even get warm. What I’m keeping in mind is this fitness club is just beginning and I’m certain these items will be addressed as membership increases.Bottom line, for me what sets Phoenix Fitness apart from other health clubs is the management and the staff. Always attentive, hardworking for the members, I’ve never seen a cleaner fitness club and they are consistently making sure that free weight equipment is properly racked and no weights are left on equipment. I recommend this fitness club, but to be honest. I’m hoping this gem of a fitness club remains a secret. I like not having to compete for the equipment.Sincerely,Steve H.Phoenix Fitness member

Update Q is the man but still needs work on some stuff in the gym. Well I have been working out at this gym sense it has opened and Im disappointed with the management of this gym it seems like all the good staff has left all ready plus Im not sure if I want my personal trainer to be a part time custodian and the service for having prepaid the top tier membership is lacking and I dont have high expectations I hope everything gets better as they grow for real what gym doesnt have medicine balls or stretching rolls

Read the poor reviews. was one of the first members to join.The management obviously does not care. Only worried about locking you in to a long term contract. Was more concerned with getting a late fee generated when the club was closed for COVID-19, than renewing a 1 year membership all upfront,on top of that, will argue with you at the front desk as the other members enter. Very Professional !Bought the place for very little when Aspire Gym went under. Will not put a dime into the equipment or repairs. Will collect as much money as they can, and ride it out until they fold.

The hardest part of traveling to distant lands is keeping one’s body ready for battle at a moments notice. All I required of Phoenix Fitness was some heavy iron for less than an hour. The establishment was empty. I walked in and was greeted by two lads who seemed friendly. I stated my case. A weary traveler in need of a place to train. They looked me over and offered this. $16.39 for a one day pass to their facility. I countered, if I pay the $16.39 can I come back tomorrow when I need to train as well. He declined. I said no thanks and left. For $10 I could get a one month membership at Planet Fitness or EoS. Alas, I traveled down the road a bit and received a ONE WEEK free pass to LA Fitness.

1. They have air conditioning problems which feels like the whole gym is a sauna2. They play the same songs every single day & they are not motivational songs that will pump you up . It does not hurt to try different genres like hip hop, r&b, country, ect.3. They need a permit to open the pool which makes absolutely no sense because they should’ve had the permit when they opened the gym . It’s about to be two months since they closed the pool and I’m paying a gold membership.The gym equipment is very good along with the customer service but these things need to get fixed ASAP.

Hands down terrible customer service. Went in with a 3 day pass that was offered online. Front desk staff declined it saying due to their December promotion that they dont accept the guest passes. None of this was online and I drove out from Scottsdale visiting some friends to workout. They didnt offer anything to help and were monotone the whole time. Terrible service from this gym. Id rather pay at La Fitness for a 2 week pass which I will do instead of offering these people business. Highly recommend you do the same

I signed up when they opened because some kids were handing out flyers and the place looked amazing. The flyers advertised fitness classes on demand, a cardio movie theater, a spa, a juice bar and some other things. I went and checked it out and it looked really nice, so I signed up. The next day, i regretted my decision. The pool was out of service, no juice bar, NO CLASSES whatsoever. Just empty rooms. NO cardio movie theater. I was told he bought a screen but never put it up and the spa is just a dry sauna. Im told by everyone I ask when these things will be happening and I was told every time any day now. That day never came. I was there the day they had to close because of the virus and the pool was JUST fixed. Still no classes, still no juice bar.....isnt false advertising illegal??Oh and one other thing I found strange. The flyer says Peoria, but then lists the address as Glendale...but the name is Phoenix.

My mom went in to save $10 a month by going to the plan under her current $57 a month plan. They told her she cannot do that because they do not allow a member to ever downgrade. when she wanted to cancel because of this they told her she has to prepay for next month even if she doesnt use it. This seems highly unfair and I bet the members that are there now do not know this but they will find out soon enough.

Now a 1 star. I just went in to downgrade my account and was told they do not downgrade I would need to cancel completely. So they lost 2 memberships I paid for (over $58 monthly) because they do not allow you to downgrade. On top of that when you cancel they want you to prepay the month ahead so that they can cancel your service. So basically they get a free month that youre not going to use because u cancelled. I will never step foot in this gym again and I will definitely be disputing the charges as I was not told this when I signed up and Im sure none of you will be either. so buyer beware this gym does not allow you to downgrade and when you are ready to cancel you need to pay a month in advance before they will allow that or you accumulate charges.*Just went over contract and NO place does it say you cant downgrade!!!plus you have to finish your month you cancel.

So glad Phx fitness is finally open. Hands down best gym in the valley. You cant beat all the amenities. From weight training, cardio, turf for endurance training. As well as massage chairs, swimming pool, jacuzzi, saunas. So much more. Its beautiful & clean. The staff is amazing. Kid care available too. I have to say over all a 10. Stop in and join today. You will love it

Gym isnt very busy so if you dont like crowds like la fitness or eos has, this is the perfect place for you. Even at peak times its very tolerable. It offers a lot of affordable plans and has a lot of perks the further you go up. They offer to bring in a guest to check it out for a week prettt often also. Only problem i have with this gym is the air circulation. Air feels like it gets stagnant and stale, especially in the summer. Overall this is my definite go to gym.

There has been lots of girls who have gotten friend requests on every social media platform from guys at this gym. Every one of these girls said that they didn’t give out their names or any personal info. I have seen the guys around who have done this and I do want to confront them each time. I truly believe that this is very inappropriate and violating. I go to a gym to workout, but not to be stalked by workers who went through my confidential profile in their system. I am very tired of being uncomfortable by these males and I really do hope that something will be done and that the boss is aware. This is ridiculous, I hope something is done before I become too uncomfortable to do anything. This is unfair.

Gym is okay. Whats with the 8 PM closing time on Fridays and the weekends? Those days should be the ones open until midnight if anything. Especially Friday nights. Unacceptable for a gym

Its a clean place to work out. Staff is friendly. My favorite part is the turf section for cardio work outs.
