The worst. I booked a rental on 4-16-21 for 7-23-21 thru 7-30-21. Called to confirm 7-19-21. Everything is good, go to this location for pickup. I get to a business that no longer exist there. After an hour on the phone they want me to go to the airport or Goodyear. I live in Peoria neither of those are close. Finally they offer an upgrade and honor my price give me a new reservation only to get back on the phone and say they have to charge me $50. Ok fine I just need the rental. I get sent to Surprise only to find out they dont have a rental. Nobody has ever reached out to me from hertz to offer an apology. Very bad business practice. 2 thumbs down
First and foremost, I would like to say this is the best location I have done business with. The Glendale location with Scott and his team are the most superior in implementing OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!I travel a lot and working for the airlines I do frequent quite a few locations around the world. The attention given to my reservation is important to me.Scott has always showed great professionalism, along with reward winning customer service.Thank you so much for making my experience the better than before on each visit!!!

They took great care of me. I reserved the Managers Special and ended up with a brand new camaro. What fun that was for the weekend.Staff was friendly and fast. Pricing was affordable too.I will be making them my first stop when renting a vehicle.
Worst experience ever. I showed up this morning to pick up rental, they did not have one available. They offered us a smaller car at a very high rate. All they could say is they dont understand why the website was letting people book rentals if there was nothing available. Wasted our time and fell behind on our vacation.
Do not warning everyone rent a car from hertz. They scam artist. They dont thoroughly inspect the cars then blame you and try to come after you on damage that was already on the car.
This was the worst experience ever!!! I was supposed to pick up a car at 9am, when I got there they tell me that they don’t have a car available. After a long discussion, they gave me a car that I didn’t book(way cheaper) I got it almost 1pm, and this ruined all my plans of that day!!! On return, I was late because I got a traffic on my way back, I was then charged for an extra day!!! What I didn’t like is that I was flexible with them, I got a car that I didn’t booked(very cheap) but for them they were not flexible and charged me over $100. The staff understood what I told him and was ready to get those charges off, but the manager refused!!! This company stressed me a lot, I would definitely never recommend them to anyone!!! Very disappointed!!!

Called Hertz department that handles Ins claims for a rental car. 3 calls with 3 different Reps saying they will email me necessary info and all 3 NOT DOING SO, I finally got one Hertz Rep that gave me confirm #, location etc. and EVEN made a appointment time to pick up my rental!Got there 15 min early for 1:30 appt only to find door LOCKED and note saying went to dealer to pick up car, will be back. 1:50 still NO ONE AND NO ANSWER when called. I left....Hertz rental location finally answered at 2:05, tells me he had no knowledge of appointmentOne star is way beyond what any Hertz reps deserve, I only wish I could have left zero stars.I DO NOT and will never recommend Hertz to anyone

This is the worst place ever, renter beware the will charge your card multiple times for the same thing and then accept no responsibility for what they did. Cost us an additional $1,000 because of them.

Just say NO We had a guaranteed reservation at this location and they gave our reserved car away when we were late because of a delayed flight. Then to top if off they didnt care or make any effort to out us in a different car. We were literally left standing on the sidewalk. Disappointed in Hertz.

I rented my car for my Phoenix trip from this suburban Hertz location. It was nice to avoid the hubbub of airport car rental. The gentleman working here was unfortunately all alone, but doing his level best to keep up with customers. That, in fact, is why I did not rate them five stars - Get the guy some help! Too many businesses are run on a shoestring these days. The rental went along smoothly, the car was fine.
Its hard to do business with a company that does not answer their phone. I tried calling 4 different times today. If you need a rental car, look elsewhere, cause if you have an issue with a car with a company that does not answer their phone, you are SOL!
I got a really good deal with Hertz thru my job, and I am thankful I did. The vehicle I rented was clean, well equipped and ready to go. My car was in the shop due to an accident, and enterprise wants an arm & a leg (big money). And enterprise gives you dirty vehicles!!! So Im happy with hertz, I will be using them again in the future if needed.
I submitted reservation for pickup the vehicle at 5:30 pm and the guy did not opened the door and said that was cloused when the hours online said that they close at 6pm and I arrived by 5:37 pm poor service
Made a reservation about a month in advance. Price was cheaper than renting from anywhere at the airport, which is what I normally do in Phoenix. They offer a pick up service via Lyft within a certain distance. The information says that someone will contact you to confirm, but I never got a confirmation of any kind. I called a few minutes before my reservation, however, and they sent someone right over. The guy we worked with was very professional, came out to look over the car with us, and patiently answered all of our questions. The car was very clean, ran smoothly and returning was a breeze. Definitely recommend.

Fast, friendly and very accommodating. My vehicle was totalled and I got my rental car from Hertz, I am so happy I did, I was in and out in 10 minutes, and the car they gave me drives great, I may just buy one!

We made a reservation with Hertz 2 weeks ago to pick up a car today, we go to pick it up and they so oh well we dont have any cars sorry. What is the point of making a reservation with a company for a car if they arent going to save you a car?!?!?!?!
The car was excellent, clean, they honored my discount, the staff was great they help me select a car that was suitable for me and affordable. Best prices in town! I didnt have a credit card so I left a deposit, and even got to use my own full coverage insurance to cover my rental! If youre going to rent a car for a week a day or a month this is a place to be :-)
Renting a car under 25 is a pain in the a** anywhere you go. The fees, the rules and ridiculous requirements etc. Even though we hit some major snags, the price was the lowest I’ve ever paid and the 2 guys that helped me went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed. Will definitely be back.
Had a rental reservation 5 days before our rental pick up and get a call 30 min before we arrive to tell us that there were no cars available !!! Yet my credit card was charged the day before I had to pick up the rental. Was offered a discount for another rental on another day but what good does that do? It’s Labor Day weekend and I had hotel reservations in another state which I had to search for another car rental company the last minute causing us to be late for our planned weekend.. as I write this review I’m still waiting for the credit back to my credit card. Ugh.....

I reserved a corolla and ended up in a full size. It was a free up grade which was great just wish I would have know because I was on a budget for everything and the full size took more gas than I had planned. But the staff was wonderful and very helpful
I dont even want to give them one star. Made a reservation with the 800 number. Got there and they didnt have the car. Could upgrade on a Camaro SS for 50.00 more. They fill the advance resignation first not the ones made on 800 ( last minute they said). Then why even take the reservation. Drove 25 miles for nothing. Poor customer service.

I have rented cars for many years and from many different locations. I will say I will ONLY rent from this location. Their staff is great, professional, and do what they can to accommodate clientele. Benjamin is an outstanding individual who will make sure you are taken care of. Having more than 20+ years in industries that deal with sales and customer service both in person and over the phone I can say, its not easy. But Benjamin always finds a way to help others. That is why we will only rent from here as in this industry it is very rare to find individuals like this. Keep up the fantastic job!
I had a reservation here for a pick up at noon on Saturday. I arrived here at 12:10. I didn’t realize they close at noon and had left.ive never had an issue with a pre-paid car pick up when I’ve arrived within 30 minutes of my reservation. I called hertz and was told they couldn’t help me since I booked with Priceline. I spent an hour trying to figure out another option for my vacation. Very disappointing.
Issues with the car.The guy in the office was nice but couldnt do much after the fact.Road service was no help at all while I was having the issue.

All though my van was not their when I got their it was a bit of a disappointment, but they gave me a free upgrade to an SUV, tank of gas as well as a free day for me having to wait 3 hours. Great way to help and accommodate your customers!!!!!!

I called to verify their process and the guy who was on the phone Benjamin was so rude and ignorant. I let him know it was for my sister who is, disabled he Immediately states we cant rent to her WHEN she doesnt pass the credit check and he states she has a prepaid card we wont use it. Since when does being disabled mean you have bad credit and dont have a bank account ? He desperately needs to learn tactfulness and professionalism and keep his stupid opinions to hisself . I would rather take the bus than ever rent a, car from Hertz ever .
At first my trip didnt start out right, the first person who helped us just seemed like he wanted to hurry and rush through our paperwork the rush through the walk around for the vehicle in 113° weather and not wanting to pay attention to what i was pointing out on the car. Then i had a flat tire in the middle of nowhere and roadside assistance was going to charge me $79 for someone to come change the tire but when i questioned that and asked how Im suppose to change a tire without a crowbar and jack they said there would be no charge. Called the next morning and had to drive 38 miles to the closest hertz so i could exchange the vehicle and got the same car but older and smaller. After everything that happened zack made up for it all and was wonderful helping us return the vehicle to him. Go see Zack!
I highly recommend not going to this place they never refunded my fifty dollar deposit and I had to contact my bank I usually go to Enterprise but had to go to this garbage because of the insurance do not go here if you have the choice do not go to this thieving place I hope they discover this fraud and prevent anyone else going through this

The rental shop on 67th Ave in Glendale is helpful and easy to find. The car was fun to drive & just the right size. Staff were friendly and knowledgable even when they were busy!

I was in an accident and a semi hit the car rental. My window and windshield were smashed. We called to ask what we need to do. We were told the first time to return the car when our week was up and in the meantime have it parked at our house. Then the manager directed me to drive it the airport in that condition to have my contract closed out. He said he would charge me towing if I took it to Glendale, which I would need to drive it there or I can pay towing through them from my house to the airport but he told me best bet was to drive it. Not concerned about customer safety. I learned from the airport manager it was NOT safe to drive like I told them and they could have credited me for the towing. Definitely done with them.
I did not like this company, They are very misleading and I was lied to about how there rental process worked and all of my money was taken at once instead of weekly payments. I would never give this place my buisness nor would I refer anyone to them.

Never renting from this location again. The pick up and returning process was great but the car condition itself was disgusting. The guy didnt even let us see inside the car before handing over the keys. Once we looked inside, dog hairs everywhere! And Im not talking little hairs here and there, which is fine for a rental, hair balls on the seat and mats. Didnt even bother to at least vacuum it out, I had to do it. Ended up leaving 1 hour late. Once on the road my phone needed charging and what do I find. Chocolate smeared in and around the charging port. Just horrible experience with the car.

This company has a problem where if you get in an accident they blame you even if all the proof points to the other guy just cause they know they can get more if they blame you than to fix the accident. Thats the only way they make business honestly the cars they have are shit. Not even good on gas or have a strong enigine. Then they want you too get a lawyer to defend your case which is more money biggest theifs in the world one but if thats how they work i hope they feel guilty and later on it comes and bites them in the ass . they get 2500 if they blame you to get the insurance to make the other guy pay they only get the car fixed so like 300 dollars. Thats the only way they make business honestly. And you lame excuses of humans are probably gonna delete this tomorrow cause you cant handle the truth or people knowing how you guys really are.

I wish I could give no stars!! Also wished I would of gotten enterprise. First gave me the worse smoke smelling car! I went in to trade for one that didnt smell like smoke and they didnt have anything for like 2 days later. So finally I got a different car from them and then I had asked if I could get a bigger car the gave me whatever was available which had not even been cleaned by the way. And then I had the car for 3 1/2 weeks and I called everyday for the 1st 2 weeks to trade up but they never had anything at all. Or so thats what they told me. Then the guy quoted me a price saying it was going go be $29 a week since I was going through insurance and they end up charging e almost $170 I dont know what math they are doing but it was awful never ever will I ever rent from here again!!!!
I would give these crooks no stars if I could, but possible the worst car rental experience Ive ever had. First the Mini Van we received was not ready to drive One of the tires was getting so bald that you could literally see the steel belt... this was on the inner wall and the excuse was they dont inspect cars coming from other hertz fleets, that is possibly the worst excuse Ive ever heard!!! We blew a tire at 1 in the morning near the California/Arizona Border, called roadside assistance that Hertz Provides and no one answered for a solid hour I have the screen shot of my phone to show the Hertz employee that we werent lying.... and to top everything off we received the van with 1/4 of a tank of gas and with every other rental service weve ever used you return it with 1/4 tank of gas... we returned it with a half a tank of gas and was charged for a full tank of gas upon return, said he couldnt do anything about the fee so here I am telling your to stay away from Hertz and from this specific one in general... WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!

Called 20 minutes before time to pick my car up to arrange for hertz to pick me up. Ended up waiting 2 hours. Once at the office I waited another hour till i got my car. Why did I pay to get my car at 8 am? Why did I have to wait in line at the office when I called at 7:40am. They should of delt with me as soon as I got to the office. I wont return here.
I was lied to about what was available and what it was going to cost. The girl at the counter, Glendale Ave. location, should NOT be allowed to communicate with customers....not if they want to have any repeat business. I will not be returning.
Always great experience with Glendale rental. Good service friendly atmosphere just not enough cars maybe someone will catch on someday that this location is just as good as the airport.

We found the service at Hertz in Sun City to be wonderful. We had a horrible experiance with another company and were stranded for our daughters wedding rehersal. Nicole had such a calming voice on the phone, and was eager to help us. Within 1/2 hour we had a 2013 Buick Lacrosse with less than 2000 miles on it. My husband and his parents could not have been happier when i pulled in the driveway! She gave us a discounted rate, and service that was fantastic, we even rented the car for 3 more days. We will return to Hertz for all of our other rentals, and Nicole deserves a great big pat on the back!
I was having my van fixed and needed a rental. The manager asked what I was driving and I told him. He then put me in a rat box. (Kia Sol) He saw I wasnt happy and said thats all the insurance will pay for. I left, hated the car and went to another Hertz and they switched me out quick and took care of me. This location should learn from the location on 75th and Thunderbird.

Beyond poor, no regard to the customer, on the way to pick up the RESERVED rental, get a phone call, no cars on the ground something about some football game, WHO CARES, WERE IS MY RENTAL, no rental for at least 2 HOURS. HUGE UP THE PHONE, CALLED ENTERPRISE, MAXIMA FULLY LOADED VERY POWERFUL COOL LOOKING ON THE SPOT, ME AND MY FAMILY BAM GONE ON OUR TRIP. BOOOOO TO HERTZ, NEVER AGAIN. BEWARE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am a granddaughter of a military veteran (who is 83 years old). His car was in a shop in Glendale, I was helping him that day, as he disclosed his billing statement for his car rental with the shop they were alarmed at how much he was being charged. Completely concerned, I decided to help make sense of his car rental bill... as I walked into the hertz shop (44th ave. and Glendale) I had two questions...1. was the hertz insurance optionalAND2. was my grandfather notified of that he had the option to decline their insurancethere were two African American ladies behind the counter, as I was speaking to the slender one, she became very RUDE and COMBATIVE! Her response to me was I dont have to ask him anything! as she threw her head back and rolled her eyes. I asked to speak to the hertz manager, he entered into the room and stood behind her and we spoke. She was very disruptive and at one point she had to be calmed down by her manager (he put his hand on her shoulder to try to quiet her)! Her customer service qualities depict her as someone who should NOT represent Hertz Car rentals, as she was harldy able to be professional and lacked the skills of a proficient communicator and in conflict resolution! She has very little professional qualities and hardly meets Hertz mission statement:*P. (Pride and Passion) *R. (Respect & Responsibility) *I. (Innovation and Integrity) D. (Diversity & Disipline*) E *(excellence & Execution)If you have an older parent OR grandparent, it is best if they have someone to go along with them to do their transaction (especially at this location). I am disgusted on how she felt entitled to treat customers in such a way. If she can treat me this way, I cannot imagine who else she has done this too! Her manager lacked and failed to fulfill his duties of the companies mission statement balancing and customer satisfaction- a simple I apoligize for the way my employee reacted to this situation... I may have felt better if he would have used some sense of correcting this matter but better yet he could have allowed this experience to be a learning experience for her! Higher education or customer service training should be provied to this young lady... sometimes individual are not taught how be ethical or provide good customer service. Disappointed.
