Rays the MAN!!!If youre looking for a Mans haircut.Old school...good price and a good cut. Ive been coming since the early 1990s. Flattop expert.Reservation recommended from Tuesday to Friday. Saturday, first come, first served. Call since Ray is out of town on occasion. You have been warned.
Great haircut, fun conversation, good value.
In travelling around the country, I have found only two other barbers who can cut a mans head of hair as good as Ray, and that was in San Francisco near Pacific Beach & the other was across the street from the Marine Depot in S.E. Washington D.C.I cant remember when I started to going to Rays, but my guess is that it is going onto 20 years. I really appreciate his artisan skills in cutting a mean flat top. Yes, its the one that got really popular in the late 1950s & had a mini revival in the early 90s. Getting an extremely competent flat top is like a lost art form so Ray, in my estimation, is a national treasure. One warning: Ray likes to go on vacation a lot so call before you go, or you may waste quite a bit of your time & gas. He takes optional appointments Tuesday-Friday, and opening hours vary, but he closes close to 6pm especially if his baseball team plays that evening. To guarantee that your hair will be cut in due time, definitely make an appointment, or you might be disappointed. On Saturdays, he is open around 9am, but it is first come, first served, and he closes early around 3pm. Ray is a hell of a good haircutter. I will miss him if he ever retires. Oh, and its cash only.
Ray is a terrific asset to the mens grooming community of the Crescenta Valley! He charges a very fair price for his obvious expertise and talents in making sure the men of our community, including myself, look sharp when we leave his fine establishment!
Great barber
Great guy walked in told him what I wanted Ray said sit down. We started talking he asked me did I grow up here I said yes moved back after getting out of the service oh man he was more cooler started to talk like we were buddies for years. I like it here definitely going to be here alot. Good attitude and freandly place like the Barbers from the old days.

This is an old school neighborhood barber shop run by a barber who gets that.Walk, have a seat, watch the sports program on the old school tube TV, and you will get a seat when it is your turn. Good cuts, good value, good barber!
