I really wanted to like this salon. The people were so nice and I had fun spending my Friday there. The massage was good. I also got a manicure/pedicure and classic eyelash extensions. My No chip chipped by the end of the weekend. I use gloves while cleaning so I was very gentle. Eyelash extensions are suppose to last up to 2-3 weeks. It’s been less than a week and these are nearly gone. I also asked for the classic natural look, but what was falling out were fans. I was very gentle. I did not wash my hair for 3 days as to not get them wet; I also skipped hot yoga for almost the entire week. I’m just very disappointed.

This business just took my $283 for nothing.I booked an appointment as a surprise for my wife. The only way to pay in advance, they told me, is to get a gift card. What they didnt tell me is that their gift cards are not refundable. Pretty convenient: the only way to pay them in advance is not refundable. I wonder if that is even legal.Problem is my wife did not like the idea, and we had to cancel the appointment, but I wasnt able to get the money back. Cheveux just plainly refused to refund. Either I use their services, which I absolutely dont need, now or in the future, or I get nothing.This was quite an expensive lesson for me.

I love this place everyone there is so polite. My stylist was Pam she was a sweetheart a bubbly person happy go lucky one I definitely want to keep for my future style. Then for my eyebrows there was another young lady who was also a sweetheart but I can not remember her name hopefully when I return in two weeks for my nails Ill see her. Im so glad I found this place

First time getting a facial since before the pandemic, and lets just say it was not only good for my skin but a much needed pampering. Jade was very professional, went over my skin type, explained all products as she was applying them. I really appreciate that she told me before touchy my face with cool or warm products. The staff took all precautions to insure regulations were met and it wasnt crowded. Very clean and the front desk was really welcoming. I definitely want to try more services they have to offer and so would you.

I am visiting Glen Ellyn and made a last minute appointment for a balayage and haircut. It had been some time since I was last able to get to the hairdressers due to Covid and was happy to get in. The booking process was easy and the receptionist was incredibly helpful and friendly.The stylist (Lucia) however, was quite rude and insulted Canadians (I am Canadian) and complained nearly the entire cut. She made me feel like an inconvenience, since she was meant to be getting her home internet installed that day, and forgot to book it off, and I had the audacity to book an appointment the day before. She told me balayage was not possible on shorter hair (its an asymmetrical shoulder length bob), though I have had it done several times previously at other salons, and changed the hair colour to suit her instead of what I wanted. I really like the cut, but am not at all pleased with the colour. It was not a cheap experience, and I feel I would have been far happier with a box colour.Overall, I would give the salon another chance, but would never return to Lucia.

Lucia has done a great job over the years cutting my hair, and continues to do so with the few hairs I have left on my head. Lol.

I have been patronizing Cheveux for the past several years and cannot say enough about how fantastic the service and the staff are. Lucia cuts both my and my children’s hair and always manages to get the little ones to sit still and surprises them with a lollipop at the end. Morgan does my lash extensions - a service that is an indulgence that quickly turns into an addiction. She’s professional and courteous and has a wicked sense of humor. Morgan even managed to keep my 10 week old happy during a recent session by feeding her, rocking her and holding her - all while still doing my lashes! She wasn’t phased in the least and made sure this new min got her pampering in.Kathi (the owner) does my nails and in addition to doing a beautiful job - she treats every client like family. Even the staff who don’t provide my personal services are friendly, professional and make a point to greet you by name and accommodate you. I highly recommend Cheveux for all your salon needs.

She is always super friendly, easy to talk to, and does a great job! She was able to create the best shade of deep red to help me become the red head Ive always wanted to be. She has also helped my son add some fun color to his look and my daughter loves the salon experience (including a blow out and getting her hair curled) that Michelle provides.If you are looking to take a plunge and make a change I strongly recommend the friendly, talented and fun staff at Chevaux salon.

They are hard to get an appointment with sometimes, and their summer hours are really not that conducive for a working parent, but they do a great job and make great cocktails!

MICHELLE IS AMAZING!! she always fixes my hair after an at home experiment goes wrong. She never cuts off too much, a trim means a trim and she adheres to every request and makes my ideas come to life even better than i imagined. She is the best hair stylist i know!

Kathi has been and is my go-to person for pedicures for years. The tub soak is incredibly clean. She is professional/pleasant and certainly gives you the service you have paid for and more so. The salon is very warm and inviting.

My first time at Cheveux I made a drastic decision to cut about 11 or 12 inches off of my hair. Michelle did such a great job! She was reassuring and kept making sure of what I wanted. I brought in a picture and I walked out looking even better. I have gotten my eye brows waxed there and the women that did them was so sweet.

I recently went to Michelle for a haircut and absolutely LOVED my hair! It is a fabulous cut that has been holding up well for several weeks now. I have also been a regular with Danielle who is an amazing colorist and stylist. I highly recommend both of these gals and Cheveux.

Danielle has been cutting and styling my hair for awhile now. Shes awesome. I originally went there to get a Ouidad cut (cut for curly hair). I changed my look up though and have a short pixie cut now which I wear straight. The salon is clean, spacious and everyone here is really friendly!

I had a spray tan here before my wedding. Gianna was so very nice. She let me test a lower level prior to the spray tan at no charge. When I had the full body spray tan she took her time to really make sure nothing was missed. Unfortunately, the spray tan barely gave me any color and was not noticeable. I followed her directions so I am not sure what happened, but it could be that I needed to have the highest level. I still give stars for how very nice nice and accommodating the salon was! Hopefully I will have better luck with other services there!

My daughter and I have received wonderful service at Cheveux. We are always welcomed warmly and everyone makes sure we are comfortable. Danielle has worked magic with my daughters super curly hair. She has also done a wonderful job with my hair. We highly recommend the salon.

I personally love this place! My first time going i wanted to dye my hair. I was pretty nervous because it was the first time i ever dyed. They did such a good job it was worth going and i will go back hopefully soon!

My first visit to the salon I was a bit turned around and called...someone patiently walked me through getting there and even the best place to park. I was greeted promptly upon my arrival and Michelle took her time performing a Ouidad cut and style on my wavy/curly hair. I have had many people comment on my more compliant curls lately and have referred several curly friends to Cheveux...enjoy!

I went to this salon for the first time the night before my wedding as a treat from my girl friends. The staff was very friendly and made our experience so much fun.One of my friends wasnt happy with how her manicure turned out, though. She said she felt like the girl was in a rush to leave for the night and didnt do a very good no-chip manicure and it was already starting to chip just a day later because of the way it was done. I loved my nail tech and the job she did, though. The pedicure chairs seemed to be a little dated and I was surprised by how much fluorescent lighting they had for a place bearing the spa name, but Im willing to give up a lot in ambience if the staff is likable.

I love this salon and Jennifer. I have been seeing Jennifer for over a year and followed her when she opened her own salon. When I go there I always feel like family and my hair has never looked better since she started doing it. I would never go anywhere else.

Its difficult to find a stylist who knows how to cut curly/frizzy hair. This salon is one of the few that actually has several stylists on staff who are schooled in this manner. The stylist who did my hair was very friendly and explained her methods and reasons for cutting in a certain way. Anyone with naturally curly hair should check this place out.

I have been a client at Cheveaux Salon for more than 20 years! In fact, when Michelle Z. started as a stylist, I was her very first client and have been EXTREMELY pleased and happy. Michelle is very talented at Oiudad, color, cuts and styling. I am always 100% satisfied with Michelle and completely trust her when she makes any recommendations for my hair.

The one star is for the color I received, which wasnt too bad. Even though I requested a symmetrical haircut, specifically from the owner, I once again received a kind of chop job. It amazes me, since this salon advertises Ouidad haircuts. My Ouidad haircut was overly layered, uneven and sticks up at weird angles at times. I think they just wanted to screw me over. The stylist put in a ton of product, so I couldnt see the real haircut until the product wore off after several hours. I went in asking for a fix, and they trimmed certain areas which didnt need it. At home, I can still pull out sections that are layered differently and longer than the other side (left side is always less layered and longer than right). What does it take to get a good haircut? I would avoid this salon. They are liars. $218 +$42 tip. And I dont have an income now.

I got my CURLY hair cut here about 3 times when I was living in the Chicago area. I couldnt trust my hair to someone who didnt understand curls. They did a great job!

Danielle has been my stylist for several years and she is fantastic. She always knows what I want done when I get there. The rest of the staff is always very friendly and welcoming. I would and do recommend this salon to my friends and family.

We have been going to Danielle for Ouidad cuts for a few years, driving from 2.5 hours away, just because she does such a fantastic job with my daughters hair. They are biracial (African-American and white) and finding someone who can understand their curl is a godsend. Everyone at the Salon has been fantastic! I have gotten a Ouidad cut for my wavy/loose curly hair from Danielle and absolutely loved it as well! And just to make sure my husband wasnt left out, he got a deep tissue massage and said it was amazing! Overall, we cannot say enough positive things about the Salon and Danielle in particular!

The non chip gel nails,1 day only and got chipped, Not perfectly done. But I like the pedicure, if you want pedicure done ask for Kylie she is nice.

When I had a hair straightening process go very, very bad at another salon, Michelle and Danielle were there to save the day! They got me in right away for a deep conditioning treatment, and when the hair ultimately couldnt be saved, they gave me a super cute cut and new products to use to maintain it. Thank you!!!

I was very disappointed with my Ouidad cut with Danielle at Cheveux. My one request was that I would have no short layers - especially in the front. Unfortunately, that was EXACTLY the cut I got. But instead of focusing on my cut and finding out what I wanted, my stylist gossiped with the receptionist for the entirety of my cut as the receptionist put on a full face of makeup in one of the many, many, many empty stations. In fact, the entire salon was completely empty albeit the receptionist and Danielle for the majority of my cut. Luckily for the receptionist, no one called the entire time we were there besides one cancellation. The worst thing about this is not only am I out $140, but I will be spending the next year of my life as a recluse and attempting to grow my hair back.

This is my go to salon for the Ouidad cut and style. My curly hair has never looked better and I have learned to love my curls again because of Danielle.
