They are AWFUL at calling patients back and pretty good at discharging them. The staff constantly changes, unorganized and don’t work with people based on their conditions needs. The ONLY reason I am not giving a one star is because of the therapist named Megan who was the ONLY person who I can say generally helped me so for that I am grateful as well as one person who worked the front named Danielle who was the ONLY person up front that worked with me and took the time. But in MY opinion if you want to get serious help and have a reliable team this is not the place for you and will be much better off somewhere else.
I’ve been coming here since they were in the old building and I love this place! I used to see Dustin before he moved on, and I found another amazing therapist after him. She’s absolutely wonderful and actually listens to me and cares about me. She even has a therapy cat that she brings into the office. I see a lot of comments about bringing in the chicken or dogs into the office, but they are therapy animals. And I personally loved it. I loved the experience of petting the chicken, or having my emotional support dog being able to interact with other animals there, since I would bring him before the office closed because of covid. The front desk staff has always been nothing but kind and professional. Every once in a while I see someone new in there and they aren’t that kind, but after a few times of dealing with them, they seem to disappear. I’m assuming they got let go because of the bad attitude. But Danni (sorry if it’s spelled wrong) at the front desk has always been amazing to me. She’s so sweet and adorable and extremely helpful. She’s like, the backbone of the front desk staff. In my opinion, this is the best therapy office that I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been in therapy for about 15 years now in two different states. M&M has helped me so much over the past 3-4 years I’ve been going there, and I can’t imagine going anywhere else.
First visit was very uncomfortable. They had a real chicken in the office. I also didn’t like the fact that I had to have a urine test done, I am not a drug addict but made me feel like they thought I was . You have to see the therapist every month or you can not get anxiety medicine. That was my last and only appointment with this office. My last doctor never did a urine test nor made me come every month. I felt that the office was very out dated and kind of dirty .
Ann McCoy saved my life. I have been with Ann for 5 years now, she has seen both my daughter and son through some difficult times in my life. Most recently with 2 major cancer surgeries with my husband and their dad. I suffer from major depression and PTSD among other anxiety issues. I have seen many doctors, psychologists and psychiatrists and havent found one as kind and considerate as Ann, and her staff is extremely friendly. The atmosphere is welcoming and makes you feel at home. I highly recommend M&M Behavioral Solutions for all ages, Ive had family and have friends that currently use their services.
The psychiatrist I saw made me so angry I complained at the front desk. What got me was the front desk lady saying, him again? He gets alot of complaints....they force you to see therapist in order to get medication. What if you dont want or need therapy? Long story short, I moved on to another office.
Continued from previous post....He actually cared about undesirable side effects, like lack of libido and weight gain. He didnt just say deal with it because the goal is to manage the psych issues, and everything else is whatever. He gave you his personal number for after hour concerns or questions. Just nothing bad to say about him at all. He is the sole shining star of the office. Now my counselor...at first seemed a little bit slow in the beginning but I kind of liked her quirkiness. Even though it took her 5-10 seconds to react to what you said. And she too gave me her personal number for after hours, and genuinely seemed concerned. However, her methods did not work for me, even after telling her this, she continued them the entire 3 years I was there. She even had me doing water colors. By the way, I am entirely grown and have not played with water colors since the 3rd grade. Then at one point she said a very inappropriate racial comment asking what I was mixed with to make my African American hair grow so long since, and I quote i know black peoples hair doesnt grow; it just breaks off. I gave that comment up to blind ignorance on black culture and not understanding the gravity of the absurdities that just came out of her mouth. I gave her a brief education on black hair and moved on. The final straw, though, was when I invited a relative to one of my sessions and the counselor asked her if she could tell her the concerns I had expressed in a previous session about her. Now me knowing the fragile mental health she was in I specifically said No, because she was only there to see how therapy works, so that I could encourage her to seek her own psychiatric aide. The counselor said, as your counselor I think she should know so Im owing of tell her anyway. This was an outright breach of client-counselor privilege and HIPPA. After that I hated seeing her more and more. I started missing appointments for little things, which I very did before. Then finally I told you prescriber what happened and he suggested a different counselor in the office. So I told her I thanked her for rent efforts, but I need to find a different counselor. Around that time, I got pregnant and had so many initial appointments I waited about a month to schedule an appointment with the new counselor, and in between that I had missed 1 appointment with the prescriber. So I went into effect office and scheduled andppointments with the prescriber and counselor in mid May of this year. I arrive at my appointment with the prescriber a week later and the receptionist says, I dont see you on the schedule. I told when I came in and who scheduled. She looks into my account and says, you were discharged May 3rd, since you havent been here in over a month. Anne sent you a letter with recommendations. Now mind you, theyve had no problem calling me for payments, but I miss an appointment because of being pregnant no one calls to find out why this punctual 3 year client is all of a sudden missing appointments. You just send a letter to the wrong address at that. Now I would be considered a new patient and have to do intake YET AGAIN! At this point I was through with them, until I got home and saw I only had 2 weeks meds left. Which thinking about how hard and how long it took to find 1 place to accept me, I knew it would be nearly impossible to find a doctor, get an appointment, and have my mail order pharmacy get me my prescription in 2 weeks. So I said well I will go back temporarily so I could get my 90 day refill. I called to try to set up my intake appointment, and they said Im considered a new patient and they are not accepting new patients, but I could sign up for the waiting list.😠 3 years I put up with their unprofessional, HIPPA breaking, employees kids, dogs, and chickens running through the facility, and as soon as you finally get a surplus of clients you drop me. Bottom line I would never EVER recommend them to anyone. They have taken the mental health field and made a mockery of it. They are not worth the aggravation.

WARNING DO NOT TRUST THIS PRACTICE!! AFTER PRESCRIBING THE WRONG MEDICATION TO MY DAUGHTER, THEY ARE NOW REFUSING TO SWITCH MEDICATION, AND WILL NO LONGER SEE HER AS A PATIENT, AND HAVE LEFT HER WITHOUT A DOCTOR & THERAPIST WITHOUT ANY NOTICE!! THIS IS DANGEROUS MEDICATION TO PLAY GAMES WITH, ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN! They prescribed my daughter medication that made her have suicidal thoughts when she was already depressed. After attempting the contact their office several times when daughter began having these thoughts, and no one was answering their phone. Their office is supposed to open at 9am, by abt 9:30 still wasnt getting any answer, so I left a message that my daughter needed an emergency appt, and I needed a call back immediately, and that its unprofessional that they arent answering phones during business hours. I called again later and finally got through and made an appt. At that appt the psychologist stated the medicine is most likely causing her suicidal thoughts and we need to schedule an appt with the psychiatrist to switch her medicine. That sounds like an emergency to me, however I was told that there were not any doctors there that could switch her medication that day. When I called back to schedule her an appt I was told that My Child can No Longer Be Seen There, because of the message I left. (which was not in any way vulgar, no cussing, not threatening) The Director of the practice Ann McCoy stated that my Tone was nasty I couldnt believe that this place services people that have mental health problems but could not handle a mother that was distraught because her daughter wants to commit suicide and couldnt reach her doctors office during office hours. So my daughter is now on medication that is making her depression worse, making her have suicidal thoughts, and has no doctor to see to get the medication adjusted, and has no psychologist to see for therapy, because Ms. McCoy thinks my tone was nasty. IT IS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL TO REFUSE TO SEE A CHILD WHO IS ON THE WRONG MEDICATION AND LEAVE THEM WITHOUT A DOCTOR OR THERAPIST WITHOUT ANY NOTICE!! Its difficult to find a psychologist that your child trusts and likes and even harder to get an appt quickly when your in desperate need of a new medication! THIS IS HOW LITTLE M&M BEHAVIOR CARES ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN! Contacting a lawyer!
They are friendly, but high turnover rates of the working professionals make it hard. There was one doctor I wont see.
I think there is a LAW called HIPPA, a privacy act for patients rights. Which means they do not have any right to call ones family members to inform them all about theyre clients business! Actually i KNOW there is, but this place clearly doesnt have a clue what it is!! Or maybe just doesnt seem to care. Very unprofessional as well and rude.
This clinicis great👌
