Bobby, was extremely informational and professional. The service was quick and for the right price. He was honest with me. I was able to call him up a year later and asked for advice even being out of the state. I was having an issue with the part he installed and he immediately got on the phone with the company to make sure they would honour the warranty which they did. After further evaluation I found out there was nothing wrong with the part and Bobby saved me a $2000 fix because another company was trying to rip me off. I highly recommend this company if you want honest, expert advice and service!

Love having a place like this close to where I live. Ive noticed the one-star reviews are from years ago so I can only assume that theyve really picked up the pace because I enjoy going there myself, even if the pricing can be a little different at times but not enough to really make a difference.

I took my car in because the check engine light was on and the guys checked it out that day and identified the problem. My car is still under warranty at the dealership and so they gave the keys back and some advice on how to proceed free of charge! Ill definitely be back for routine maintenance.

Needed a water pump for my 2004 Saturn. When T.A.G. looked at it - they found a lot of rust underneath - because Saturn came from Maine - where snow and salt on roads. It took 5 days but great work done, a new manifold and I am back on the road - thanks T.A.G/ and crew

If you are looking for a “hometown” auto mechanic around the 40/42 area, then this is the one! Even if you live further out, it’s worth the extra time to come to TAG Automotive. These guys make you feel welcomed, AND, how many shops gladly give you a ride back home and pick you up? It’s standard practice there. Had new brakes, rotors, and an oil change for my first visit there, but it won’t be my last. These guys are more than highly recommended!

Owner is a joke let them check out my truck transmission that he said he wouldn’t charge but he did and when I pick up my truck he charge me for storage fee that he never once said anything about. And also over charge without any little detail of what they done. Terrible place I will never go back. Stay away

This shop seems to be pretty chaotic in the way they conduct their business. Ive had 2 bad experiences with them, both having to do with tires. The first time was a year or two ago when I had them rotate my tires. They gave me a quote over the phone and then charged me a higher rate after the tires were done. When I protested, they relented and charged me what they said they would charge in the phone call. The second time was just recently when I emailed them a request for a quote for 4 tires for my Ram truck. I got an automated email response from them that said that they would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours. After getting no response (I checked spam folder, etc.) after 3 days, I then called them. They answered and I referred them to my email and politely asked again for a quote on the tires. They then hung up on me or we got disconnected somehow. That was enough for me so I plan to get my tires done elsewhere even though TAG is just minutes away from my house.

They are affordable for what they offer and when compared to other companies but they offer better services. They are willing to work with you and they are so trustworthy! TAG Automotive fixed a failing part in my brake system. I couldn’t have been happier with the professional, friendly, and timely service I received! Bobby even called me back to let me know the bad part had a recall on it and offered to return the vehicle so I could get it repaired under warranty. Unfortunately, my vehicle was no longer eligible so they continued with the repair and I had my vehicle back the same day! I will definitely be taking my vehicles back to TAG Automotive!

This has got to be the best auto shop I’ve been to since I’ve moved from out of state. The service is stellar and the work was outstanding. My previous auto shop did a lot of damage to my vehicle but Bobby and his team were able to correct it. My car drives so much better. This shop is a little distance from where I live but definitely worth the drive to get quality service.

Such an honest business, I found out about T.A.G Auto from a tow truck driver. That same day I went to check them out which is when I meet Bobby! He was super friendly and helpful! I was recommended to this place and it was more than I expected service wise!!! These guys are awesome! I love my truck and do most of the work on it myself but I didnt have a big enough jack to do my brakes and rotate the tires. These guys took care of it for me and had it ready for me at the time they said it would take. Plus A LOT cheaper than I thought Id pay! I felt right at home talking with them and hung out for a few laughs with them. All is all...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND T.A.G. AUTOMOTIVE!!!!!!

These guys are the most professional and upstanding gentleman Ive not seen in years. Its always difficult to trust someone with your car especially when you arent sure if they are being truthful. A couple years back i had a flat. I pulled into a gas station to change to the spare as it began to rain. I was quick and done before Bobby from TAG offered to help. No one else offered. He introduced himself in admiration maybe that this girl was so quick. He offered to plug it for me 1st thing the next morning. That made me happy. Someone looking out. He charged me nothing. I never leave reviews, but I had a great experience with T.A.G. Automotive. After two dealerships that service our make of vehicle wanted $750 to fix a noise coming from a rear strut, I tried T.A.G. for the first time. They took care of our car quickly and fixed the problem for only $45. The customer service was great as well. You can tell the owner takes pride in his shop. I am glad to have found a local shop that I feel like I can trust when I need work on one of my vehicles.

Bobby is great! Ive taken my car to him twice. Both times gave me a breakdown of everything that needed to be done, as well as a cost breakdown. Hes also super friendly; 6 months after I came in the first time, I came in again to get different work done. He immediately saw me and asked, Hey, how are you doing? Hows your fiance, have you gotten married yet? All in all, very professional and very friendly.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!I was having some issues with my 2006 Jeep Wrangler that I had recently inherited from my late father, and I was so stressed out about it.. It hurt me to see that there was something wrong with this Jeep because this was my dads prized possession. I took it to Pep Boys and after a whole day of them having it, they called and said they couldnt find anything wrong with it.. Um. okay. Did they even drive it??? Last time I had it on the road, the front passenger wheel was smoking and the wobble was so intense!My boyfriend suggested I take it to T.A.G. His family has trusted this shop for years, on some big rebuild jobs, and now I see why! They were so quick to find out the cause of the problem, called right away with an estimate, and had all of the replacements done in only 3 hours. Best experience Ive had! Bobby was SO nice, put my mind at ease, and explained everything about the work they did, and the pricing was more than fair for all they put into it.I just wanted to give a huge thank you to Bobby and his team!! Although I didnt have the pleasure of meeting him or visiting his facility due to my schedule (had someone else drop it off and pick it back up), I was so impressed with the service! This is a very honest mechanic shop whose owner and employees are very transparent and all around good knowledgeable people. They have done everything for me from oil changes to a full engine replacement and I couldnt be happier about the service and type of people they are.

My initial review of this place was great. Until my most recent visit. I took a trailer tire in to be mounted and balanced, and was charged $35. My husband, thinking that was higher than he expected, went in later, asked the same person how much that service would be, and was told $20.Apparently, there is a $15 fee for being female. I wont be back.

Please read until the end!! I will never be back to this place. I dropped my car off on Wednesday and called them Thursday for an update since I had not heard anything. They gave me a list of what was wrong with my car and I agreed to get it fixed. I called back on Friday and they told me my timing belt had broke in the shop and would call me right back with an estimate. No call back on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday morning. So I called them Monday morning and they said my car “magically” started working again. Timing belt was in fact not broke which I think was due to the fact that I was upset about it breaking in a shop and having to cover the cost of everything. THEN it was ready to be picked up on Tuesday so I told them specifically to put the keys under the mat in my car AND NOT TO LOCK MY CAR BECAUSE THAT WAS THE ONLY KEY I HAD. He repeated it back to me and then I heard him tell the guy not to lock my car door. Drove from North Raleigh to Garner to pick my car up and my car is locked. Currently waiting for a locksmith. Will never be back here again. Terrible communication and terrible service.***EDITING TO ADD***The morning after I left this review, Robert Venito aka Bobby researched my previous employer and gave me a one star review and said “Do not trust Danielle Obermeier. She acts like she is nice and kind then I find out she is a back stabber.” I don’t even work for this real estate company anymore and they are having to suffer this review because Bobby is acting childish and vindictive. Stay away from this place!

Have gotten great used tires here in the past and have been very happy. This morning I was short on time and had a slow leak in one of my tires. I called and they didnt have my size tire in stock but he said to come on down and would check it out as maybe they could just patch it. He knew I was short on time and got me in and out very quickly and it just turned out that I had a bad valve on my tire that he was able to fix. This is the reason I prefer small, local businesses. I will be back!

I have come here on three separate occasions, the first time simply to get a plug put in a leaking tire, which they did well enough. The other two times I had dropped a vehicle off to be looked at the first time the night before after being told on the phone that it would be troubleshot first thing in the morning. After being told that they would not be able to get to the vehicle that day I had a little bit of understanding doing maintenance for a living myself I know that a 30 minute job can turn into several hours from something as simple as a stripped bolt so things dont always go as planned, however after being told to return the following Saturday since the vehicle in question was needed to commute to work with, I experienced the same lack of service and was told that I would have to bring it back again. Why this place does not or will not schedule service is beyond me but Ive wasted enough time having my vehicle sit there only to not be looked at after being told otherwise.

I came to them for an tuneup on my 2006 Corolla and to check/repair brakes. They did a great job on the tuneup. After a few weeks, I noticed the brakes were squealing. I had it checked at another shop and I found out that the rotors were overheating. I took it back to Bobby and was expecting pushback from the shop. Surprisingly, he took the car and told me they would check it out. He even gave me a ride home. Im very impressed with a repair shop that cares about its customers and its reputation and is willing to stand by its work. I will update with how it goes with the brakes.

I am new to this area and TAG Automotive was recommended on my Nextdoor App. I needed new tires and brakes. Shortly after I got my new tires I started having issues with low pressure, so Bobby said to bring it in and sadly I had nails in my new tires. Even though Michelin does not cover this, Bobby did! He took care of this with no charge to me. This is the type of business I like to do business with, the ones that take care of their customers. Thanks!

These guys are great. Both my vehicles broke down on me within 3 days one needing a motor the other needing a bunch of suspension work. Bobby the owner helped me out a bunch and went well above what he needed to do help me. I am greatly appreciative about what they did for me. I recommend them for anyone.

One of the best local shops you can ask for. Honest, communicate well, informative, and helpful when it comes to your vehicle. I hate bringing my car to the shop but always feel better knowing that my vehicle is in goods hands!!
