Charlie did an excellent job at getting my truck back to Boise from Stanley in the dead of night. He was professional, safe and friendly. Truly seemed to enjoy his job and wasnt rude, grumpy or condescending. Especially given all the miles he had to drive that day. Even the dispatcher, Andy, was pleasant, thorough and expedient in setting up the tow. Would highly recommend this companys services! Thank you for the quality experience.

I had a panicked call from my 20 year old daughter about her car. She had just moved out into her own place for the very first time and was headed to work when her car started acting up. She called dad. Now any of you that have a teenager know how hard it is to get good information, especially quality information, about car problems. Although she did her best, after the phone call I had no idea what was going on with it. It is a bit older I just decided to have it towed to State Street Auto, a great shop owned by a friend of mine. Roger at State Street recommended ACT Towing and Recovery.I called ACT and spoke with Andy who scheduled for my daughter to leave her keys in the car. He was professional over the phone and arrived at my daughters apartment in a very short period of time.Andy, during his preparation to tow the vehicle, started the vehicle and noticed that the E-brake was pulled. He disengaged the brake and put the vehicle in drive and took it around the block. Yeah......my kid had left the E-brake on and that was the only problem!! He pulled back into her spot. Turned off the vehicle, waited...and started it again. Yeah....it was just the dang E-brake.Andy called me and let me know the news and said that he did not feel right towing it the car when he thought that it worked just fine. I offered to pay him for his time but he would not take it. That is integrity.I can only say that I really appreciate people like him and businesses like ACT Towing. They are in short supply. I very highly recommend them.

Started a great day headed to Snowmobile park on Middle Fork Road.As we turned up-hill to the parking lot we encountered glazed Ice. We slid backward down hill, across Middle Fork Road and over the edge. This putour enclosed 4 place trailer completely over.We called ACT towing. They estimated a 60-90 minute wait. Only 30 minutes later they were there, fully equipped and with a tech that knew every trick in the book. He Chained his rig up, drove up the icy hill to a tree where he secured the front of his rig and then ran his back winch cables to my truck.HE took great care to ease the rig forward and retrieved both truck and trailer.Once on level ground he did a quick safety check for me and helped get the rig turned around on the narrow road.The customer service was first class. The skill set that he had was up to the task. I recommend ACT and their great team to anyone that needs the areas BEST towing/recovery company.(After all was done, We had a great day snowmobiling!)

Andy was AMAZING!! We were stranded in Stanley, Idaho on a camping trip. We had one bar of cell service and were able to connect to him. He communicated with us via text throughout the night and next day as we tried to navigate our insurance company. He went way above and beyond for us by trying to reach our insurance company for us!! He was disconnected and made to hold for way too long. We were so annoyed with the insurance company and he hung in there with them on our behalf. We were so grateful to see him when he arrived in Stanley. He was a blessing to show up and help us out. We highly recommend him and will use him again should the need ever come up. I was thirty minutes away from home when my truck failed to start. Although I have road side assistance through my insurance, they were unresponsive. After calling a few other places I found Act Towing. Within 30-45 minutes after I called Act Towing, my vehicle was running and my issue (needing a new battery) was identified... thus saving me $250 in diagnostic fees from a repair shop. Their representative was courteous, friendly, and professional.I hope I never need their services again, but their phone number is in my phone in case I ever do.

Drove my car into the ground and within 30 minutes the tow driver had my car up on the bed and getting ready to take it to my home. My car was in a pretty fragile state yet he was very careful in making sure no further damage was done to my car. They even came out on a Sunday afternoon. Excellent service. Amazing price. My car broke down near Idaho City and needed to get it to Eagle. Got hold of these guys and they were on their way immediately. Greeted by Charlie with a great attitude and a very nice flat bead rig (safest way to tow a vehicle). Had a pleasant ride back and cost was reasonable. I highly recommend these guys.

My family was in a real bind, way back on a dirt mountain road with a broken down truck on our way for a week of camping. Long walk/story later, Scott from ACT Towing picked me up and we made our way back up the mountain. Very professional and courteous, Scott actually was able to repair my truck on the spot and got us on our way. He really did save the trip for us, which turned out awesome. I will never call a different tow company.

Our truck broke down on a dirt road up in the mountains on a Wednesday night. We thought for sure we would have to leave it up there until the next day. We contacted Act towing and they came right up and delivered our truck to our mechanic. Its never fun when your vehicle leaves you stranded but I was so happy that they were able to come get it and secure it at the mechanics that same night. Great service and gives you a peace of mind that your truck is secure.

My husband and I were stuck on I84, after our boat trailer tire blew. We were waiting for roadside assistance for over an hour and finally gave up. We called Act Towing and got ahold of Blake, he was less than 5 minutes away and helped us out quickly!

This Family Business is incredible. They truly went the extra mile with a stolen trailer recovery. The police had not identified us as the owners... Andy went the extra mile to find who the owner was prompting the police to contact us. This act of kindness was big for my family. When you have a personal item stolen, the closure of knowing what happened is something that allows you to rest. I truly thank these guys and will use them for all my towing services!

Some of the best customer service I have had for a long time! Professional, super nice, and so helpful and informative. In a span of a week we had two cars that people had just abandoned in our business parking lot. Scott was great and educated me on the laws for towing and brought over signs right away. Then we had a second car blocking our entrance and they came and moved the car to a space, and hung the no unauthorized parking signs, all free of charge. And so nice! I will not use another towing service. Highly recommend.

ACT Towing saved me from one of my dumber decisions this winter. He was quick, efficient, handy, and made the experience weirdly fun, and didnt break the bank. Customer service was phenomenal. My truck was driving funny for a few minutes after being winched out of the mess that I made in the snow, and the ACT driver even pulled over to help make sure my truck was running right. It had gotten stuck in 4x4 LOW, and was otherwise not a problem. He fixed the issue for me and I was on my way. I would make ACT my first call -- no matter what, no matter where (but especially if Im in Boise or Garden Valley.)

I work for a bank and an elderly lady had car trouble in our drive up. Her phone was dead and she didnt know what to do. We called her insurance company for her and they said she had emergency roadside assistance. The emailed me a list of towing companies that could help. A.S.A.P Towing was first on the list and they were extremely rude and did not seem to care at all. It was snowing so I understand being busy but they rushed me off the phone without any help. I called ACT towing and spoke to Scott. He said there was a wreck on the freeway but they would be there in an hour. GREAT! The customer was inside and warm so waiting wasnt an issue. The amazing part was that Scott called back 5 min later saying he would have a guy out in 3-5 min!! He had a suspicion that the lady was elderly and having a rough time. Scott is my hero!! I would call them anytime I get into trouble. They were here in 3 min and got the customer all set up. Their driver was super nice and helpful too. USE ACT TOWING!!!

ACT towing has been our go to towing service in the Treasure Valley. We used to own a company that had several vans and ACT always was quick and professional when we needed towing. The best in my opinion.

I called up ACT because our Subaru died, leaving us stranded and I called a family friend for a ride since there were several of us waiting with the car. Due to unexpected car problems, Ive had to utilize Act Towing services twice in the past 4 months, and both times they have been extremely courteous. They arrived within a reasonable timeframe and the second time, Marty even dropped my husband at home so he could get our second car to pick me up at dealer. WORST customer service EVER!! I am hoping this is just a one time thing but my 17 yr old daughters car was towed there when it was in an accident and police called them. Apparently their fee more than triples when this happens. The guy would not give a discount which made me frustrated but that is his prerogative because it was emergency towing. However he told me my daughter needed to be a better driver since she has totalled 2 cars...what? She has been driving 8 months and has never even gotten a ticket. VERY RUDE!! Pegasus Transport much easier to talk to try them instead!!

Last summer I was parking downtown when all of a sudden my newer Honda started spewing out smoke. Turned out my AC compressor failed. Ive never needed to be towed before and certainly didnt expect to with a newer car. Act Towing was very prompt and professional. I was worried that it would be difficult to remove the car given that I was parallel parked on Main Street and it was in heavy late-afternoon traffic. The owner quickly and easily secured my car and towed it to the dealer.
