Soar is a great vacation rental option. Clean places and nice people. They go out of their way for guests. Nice island too. Definitely worth it.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Soar Vacation Rentals Shotgun Shelley for a quick midweek getaway and it was lovely. Just a short walk to Stewart Beach and its close to the Strand too. The decorations are the cutest nautical of course! There is a picknick table with a small grill in the yard and a wonderful little porch that I spend much of time reading on while enjoying the pleasant breeze. We had such a nice time I would highly recommend staying here.

Had a lovely weekend getaway for the October 13 Art Walk. Dont be confused by the address here because it is the office address. Our cottage was in an excellent location and had everything we needed for the weekend. Room to relax, short walk to beaches and a great neighborhood. I will definitely do this again because it is so cost effective and easy with multiple selections of cottages depending on who all will be going. I hope you also go and have a great time. I highly recommend this company and their properties.

We rented Island Vibe for June 30th-July 7th.We called numerous times to set up the details, we called because we heard a rumor the beach would be closed - we wanted the trip to be perfect for our 3 seniors to be and our oldest son. We were assured that the beach wouldnt close but that if it did, wed get a stay at a different time - it was too last minute to get a refund. We get to our condo and spend 25 minutes arguing about parking our passenger van before finally we were issued a parking pass. We drove 15 hours from Nebraska and everyone wanted to take showers and relax, we had 3 towels. We booked for 6 people but had 3 towels. We called to let Soar Vacation know.... waited for said towels to be dropped off for a bit, then we went to Walmart and bought some. Towels were brought a few hours later while we were at dinner. Then, of course, the beaches close for the holiday weekend. We reach out again and guess what? No options because were in Galveston - no discount, refund, credit, nothing. Friday we drive out to Sulfside to try and still allow the kids time at the Beach...paying for hotels in Clute. Saturday we head back to the condo that we paid $1587 - the pool was super crowded, fire alarm was pulled several times, our neighbors were smoking pot on their balconies by ours so we couldnt even enjoy that. Sunday, today, we decided to head home. There should be vacation insurance offered or something. How would you feel if you spent this kind of money for this much ridiculousness?!?!?

Completely charming and cozy beach homes! Our location was great, within walking distance from the Galveston seawall and several local eateries, and short driving distance from many area attractions. Neighborhood was quiet and rental management service was impeccable. We will definitely be back!
