We loved the little beach home we rented, the Sea Shed! I enjoyed that it wasn’t directly on Jamaica beach, especially since we were looking for a quieter stay, and the beach was super rowdy that weekend. There was plenty of space, a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of terry for the eight people we had. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, family stay.

Refrigerator ice maker and water filter did not work. Saw several large roaches throughout our stay. Unable to use the upstairs closet due to owner locking all his personal belongings in it. Coffee maker was very small 4 pot. Downstairs closet also had other belongings in it from the owner. Contacted management on Monday about our problem and they said they would call me back. Gave them until Thursday before I called them again and again they said they would check with the property manager and have her call me back. Waited all day and still no call back. Disappointed in their customer service didnt seem like they cared much especially since they already had our money. We come down to Galveston every year and thought we would rent a house instead of a Hotel. First response back we received was 2 hours before our checkout time and was told we will revisit with the manager when they return. Was able to speak to the manager this morning and she was friendly and corrected our issue.

Terrible experience with this joke of a company. House had roaches. House had mold. Things were broken and did not function correctly. House had a bug infestation. Place was dirty and disgusting. The people that run this company are rude and unprofessional. They called me a liar when I attempted to get a resolution. They are not responsive, they are not helpful. If youre looking for a clean house and a good value, look elsewhere. They do not care about the quality and cleanliness of their home. They do not care about the customer having a top notch experience. They do not care to resolve issues. They only care about your money. This company is a joke.

This service was the worst part about our stay at Pointe West. We reserved a canopy and 2 chairs for 3 days. The first day out on the beach, they suggested 2 umbrellas and 2 chairs because of the wind. We were ok with that. After being out there for a couple of hours, it rained, so we left, ate lunch, and napped. We went back out onto the beach and the person setting up everything, gave away our umbrella and chairs saying my husband told him we would only be out there for an hour. That was completely false, but even if it was true, we paid for 8 hours. There is no reason to give away our spot. We waited a lengthy amount of time before we got set up again. The third day, we had our reservation from 10am to 6pm. We didn’t get set up until 1145am. The guys excuse was because he had to set up for other people coming out. But we were already out there. It made no sense. The person at the office claimed we were not in front of the beach club, but we were. Then, after we got set up we asked to have our time start after we were set up but they still took down our stuff after we left for a break. We kindly asked for a refund and they credited back $16. After we paid for 8hours. We would not go back to pointe west if this was the only beach rental service. I would never recommend this place.

Coastal Waves managed my home while I was out hiking the Appalachian Trail for a summer. I had no way of getting mail so they went to my bank every month and deposited a check in my account for me. I don’t think you can get more above and beyond personal service than that! The renters were so happy they left me a thank you card and a nice bottle of wine. My house was in better shape than I left it and I never had a single worry about the property knowing it was being looked after.Thank you Coastal Waves!

This company is just the BEST! Their customer service is detail oriented, warm, friendly, and prompt. The rentals are immaculate from door to bed, and competitively priced. Im really not sure what else there is to say...except if your renting from another agency on the island, your doing vacation wrong!

We rented a condo, and the jets in the bath tub didnt work. You also had to run the dryer three times to get clothes to dry. Then they took our deposit for a bogus complaint by a neighboring condo without even speaking to us first. You would think would have the decency to find out all the details before jumping to conclusions. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else.

Coastal Waves Vacations manged our house at Pointe West for over 7 years and did a fabulous job. We were able to meet our expenses and had extra for updates. They are hands-on with their management and are local with an office on the island.

If youre in Galveston and want excellent property management for your vacation rental, look no further. Absolutely professional and proactive. We know a vacation rental is going to have challenges with all of the guests but I dont worry about it because I know Coastal Waves will take care of the property and the guests. They go above and beyond all the time. When there was the extremely rare off-chance that there was going to be a freeze they went to all their properties to wrap the pipes. They use technology to make it easier to manage the property and make it more convenient for guests and owners. Neerja and her team are simply the best.

We planned a family vacation in Galveston, TX and rented a beach house that was managed by Coastal Waves Vacations. The beach house was filthy and falling apart. We had cleaning or major maintenance issues every day we were there. We spoke to the property manager every day on this vacation and requested a change in location or a refund on our stay. We were told they would look into it and get back to us. We got this type of response every time we spoke to them and nothing was ever resolved. They were rude and told us it is a house and things happen in houses. I have never had such a terrible vacation rental and never been treated so poorly by a company. They already had our money and did not care about our problems we encountered at the house. Needless to say, we did not get a relaxing and enjoyable family beach vacation like we had planned because of this house and company.

Local, personalized attention, and great people to work with. I have seen them go above and beyond many times. I highly recommend using Neerja and Chris for your vacation property management or for a great vacation rental!

Large enough for great selection of beach homes, yet small enough for personal attentiveness makes me want to stay with Coastal Waves Vacations again next time.

My wife and I rented the summer winds home and worked with Neerja. We hosted our wedding at this location and everything went perfect. This company is so easy to work with and there is no gray areas they are very straight foward. The check in and out process was a breeze. I will be renting from them in the future and will recommend anyone I know that is going to Galveston to do the same.
