I tried to book a vacation for my husband and I for two days to get away from everyday living to enjoy time together because hes always gone driving trucks for a living. He had not contacted me in less than four hours to let me know that they had to work, so before I could even call back to cancel, they took the entire amount off my card. i immediately called to leave a message to cancel before getting approved for the spot. They entered my message into the system on the same day and they still went ahead to approve me for the spot. I spoke to the director Karen, (whom is rude and disrespectful) with Heritage( and the supervisor John, with Home Away, about my refund of everything but the service fee, just to be reasonable for their time. I received numerous emails, but no phone calls to me, but i received an email that states i would get only 50% of my money back because I had to cancel my trip within 14 days of the booking and our trip was scheduled on 2/25/2018 for us to be there for 3/9/2018 to 3/11/2018. Someone please do the math, they were supposed to give me 24 to 48 to get approved, BUT they took my money out of my account BEFORE I knew if I was approved for the property that I called back to cancel in less than 5 hours! I even said that I would come back at a later time to book the same property, but Karen states it is out of her hands and my money is just gone! I will not give up on getting my money back, even if I have to go to extreme measures to make sure they do not do this to anyone else! Please feel free support my cause, Im a Crohns Disease Patient, I have two children, I live with my mother, and I am on a set income (child support only). The vacation was supposed to be a surprise for my husband and it took a while to come up with $550.00. I am truly disappointed and wish things could have been worked out, but i will be willing to further discuss this mishap of judgement with some one of higher stature than the director Karen, she has my numbers and email address. The property we stayed at was nice but the customer service from Heritage was not what would be expected for the amount of money paid for a 2 night rental.

$140 cleaning fee for 2 night stay making it $456? No thanks, Ill stay in a REALLY nice hotel for way less than that!
