This place helps the homeless in so many ways. They also allow the homeless a refuge; though outside, to be able to try and put their lives back together or maintain their peace while everything else may be out of place and their control in their lives.

I was new to Galveston and had nowhere to go during the day while searching for work. Our Daily Bread provided me with a roof over my head during the day time hours (8a-4p) even serving two warm meals.Usually everyone gets to eat lunch and breakfast free of charge. but its MANDATORY to call or to be present at breakfast (9am) in order to be RSVPD fo the rmeal(s).

It is a great place to eat and get help. Dont go with a chip on your shoulder and obey tha rules. The first time I was there was in 2004. For almost a year.the second time was in 2011 when I came back to galveston and got stuck. Gave me a placs to go and eat and take part in ine programs.Got the help and fellowship when I needed it most.Thank you daily bread for being open.Stella I. Lucas

Brothers:I dont have a story to tell. I would just like to have your advice and suggestions to make in my city Caracas - Venezuela, a similar foundation in order to provide food, medicine, medical assistance, prayer and spiritual help to any brother who requires it.Every brother has to love the other as much as a mother loves her child and give her everything physically and spiritually she needs. Inspired by that Franciscan thinking is that I would like to create such a help house.I am Catholic and Franciscan. Luis Montilla
