Our experience was very fun! Definitely worth trying! We enjoyed it very much, and 4 out of 5 of the group hadn’t road bikes in years! It was very easy and fast to get the bikes. Unfortunately the owner did not give us much explanation about the rules. We had the google the rules of riding on the road/side walks/beach. Just be sure to ask questions if needed. All in all a great experience.

Man, what a great experience! Were just a couple of inland vacationers with no beach biking experience. We had some concerns about properly caring for our bikes in the salt and sand. These cats were absolutely wonderful. Got us fixed up with a n inexpensive lube and some sage advice. Easy to see why these guys have a perfect 5.0 star rating.

We took two fat tire bikes in for tune ups. Atmosphere was really great. Staff knowledgeable and very courteous. When I came to settle up, staff again offered to load up. I would and have recommended Zipp E Bikes to my neighbor. He and his wife are interested in a couple of e-Bikes.

I have been frequenting the Zipp E Bike location for almost a year for my electric bike and my 10 speed. Each time, everyone is friendly and attentive to answer my questions. We even had to troubleshoot the reason I couldn’t ride my bike was because I lowered the seat onto the rack that pushed on the back tire or the time I thought the electric bike didn’t work and all it needed was air in the tires. Great guys and a great place to get help for any questions or adjustments that you may need!!!

Hands down the best way to get to know Galveston! My husband and I had a great time riding these bikes around and we covered a ton of ground in a short amount of time. The staff was extremely friendly as well. Cant wait to ride them again!

We had a blast roaming around the island for three hours. For a longer ride they provide some locks island, so you can stop off and get something to eat or drink on the way. The bikes can be used in just pedal assist mode or Throttled. All of the bikes are wide tires so they even go over the trolley tracks without fear of getting caught up.The bikes were responsive and in great shape, And helmets were provided and sanitized. We will rent again for sure!!!

We had a great tour! The bikes are so fun. My 10 year old rode on the wagon bike with my husband, my 13 year old was old enough to ride herself. They were all asking to rent them the next day! We will rent them next time we are in Galveston.

This was in the top 5 most fun things I’ve done. The staff was super helpful in teaching me how to use the bike, recommended the safest and most scenic routes, and even let me use their phone charger! The fat tires on some of the bikes lets you go in the sand, which was awesome. Very affordable as well.

Awesome staff and service! We had the bikes for a half a day. It was such a fun experience!!! I recommend touring Galveston this way. Some things to consider before you go - dressing for the weather, going when it’s less busy/easy to navigate, and prepare to be a little sore if it’s been a while since you sat on a bike seat for an extended period of time. However, I enjoyed it so much, I’m now looking to purchase an e-bike to continue the adventure.

Had a problem with Electric Skateboard and did not know where to go. Called Zip E Bikes in Galveston Tx and talked to Seth. I have never had a more professional conversation than I did with Seth. Seth wanted to make sure he did everything in his power to get me back up and running on my electric skateboard. Seth even contacted the manufacturer to formulate a game plan for repairs. If anyone needs anything related to a electric skateboard or electric scooters this is the place to go. So refreshing to find a place that cares about the customer.

I love this place. Exploring Galveston by means of an e-bike is glorious. You can either choose a suitable level of electric motor “assist” to kick in as you pedal or you can choose to be lazy and use the throttle, which means no pedaling. Seth is awesome and will get you hooked up. We rented 2 e-bikes for 2 hours today and it was long enough to explore downtown and go through all of Seawall and back to their store.

Customer service at this place is awesome. I needed a part for my ebike. This company was the only one in the country that had it and was willing to expedite shipping. I called and spoke with Seth. He confirmed that he had the part and that it would work with my brand bike. He gave me several different options for expedited shipping. He packed up the part & sent it out within minutes of getting off the phone. I got the part when expected and it works great. Can’t thank Seth enough.

Great selection of eBikes to rent. We got on-line and booked the rental of two Rad Rovers. Seth was awesome. He explained how to use the bikes and got us set up with safety helmets and gave us a lock in case we needed it. The eBikes were easy to operate and had easy to read displays for battery life, speed and settings. We had a great time riding the bikes around the Strand area, down to Seawall Blvd. and all the way down to East beach and back.

The bikes were awesome for the whole family. They thoroughly went over how to safely use the bikes and gave great suggestions on where to go. The Rad Wagon held both my 5 and 8 year old no problem. We will definitely rent bike here next time we visit Galveston!

My wife and I were in Galveston for the night before taking a cruise the next morning. I knew there was an E-bike shop with radpowerbikes in Galveston and looked them up to find out that you could rent them.We stopped in and the manager (I believe it was James) was really nice and helped us along quickly so that within 15 min we were off riding 2 Rad Rovers.We had a total blast, and the Rad Rovers handled bumps like nothing. On the beach I accidentally went through a hole a kid had dug in the sand, but the Rover handled it incredibly well (I wouldnt recommend trying it though!)James was nice enough to even let me switch to the RadRunner halfway through our rental, and when we finished he genuinely wanted to hear my feedback on which I liked better. (I wasnt sure at the time but I lean towards the Rover over the Runner. Rover was just more natural for me to bike in, but both worked and felt great!)Whenever we tell people about the trip, we tell them first about how one of the best parts of the cruise was from the day before where we got to ride E-bikes. We had a blast and will definitely hit them up again next time were in Galveston.

So much fun!! The owner is very professional and kind. This was a new experience because these bicycles are battery charged. So you have the option of pedaling regular, with ease or it progresses to automatic. At first, I wasnt sure about the big wheels but rode with complete ease, and actually you ride with comfort. These bicycles are so cool I want to buy one. My husband loves to look in various stores that are not on the strand but near. However, its a walk. This made it easy and fun. If youre near downtown Galveston, go see ZippEBikes. You wont regret it.

The wife and I headed to Galveston this weekend and found this little shop. We really do love to find small local businesses that are unique and this is one of them. Bike rentals on the island are not uncommon but this one is nice due to the electric bikes.The rates are quite reasonable for the rentals and helmets are included in the rental price. They do offer a tour but you would want to schedule it at least a day ahead. The tour price also includes the bike rental.The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. If a guided tour is not for you, the staff would be happy to tell you about some interesting stops to check out while you cruise the island.In addition to bike rentals they are also a full service bike repair shop and have other fun biking accessories for sale. If you are in the area, definitely check them out and see the island in a much different and relaxing way.

Moved to galveston this yr w/ my mtn bike, I have had several repairs here pedals replaced, brakes repaired, flat tires fixed, etc; all have been fast and high quality. The work lasts. I highly suggest them over any other island bike shops where my experiences werent as efficient or quality. The staff is great too!

Cool little bike shop right in the heard of downtown, a couple blocks off The Strand. They rent these cool e-bikes, though I confess Ive never been on one. I go there for maintenance and repairs on my bike and they take great care of me. They have the perfect mix of technical knowledge and island hospitality.

My wife and I won a coupon for two half day electric bikes. We called the phone number listed on google and it ended up being a cellphone to one of the workers (Seth). Even though it was before store hours, he still picked up and gave us information . When we finally got to the store, Seth was very friendly and welcoming. The electric bikes were also very fun to use. You can use the pedals like any other bike or you can use the electrical system. The whole four hours I was riding the bike around like a motorcycle. Fun experience and great workers. I would definitely come back even without a coupon.

I had trouble repairing my electric scooter tire and wasnt able to get the tire back on the rim. They were able to get it back on and only charged me $10, definitely going to come here for all my future scooter repair needs

I went to Galveston alone for my 21st birthday to celebrate back in November. I came across this shop on google to rent an electric bike. First, I want to say the staff here are incredibly awesome and it’s a friendly relaxed vibe. I rented a bike for 2 hours. Best two hours of my life I’ve had in awhile. I had so much fun cruising around Galveston checking out every nook and cranny. These things have some good power to em’. Prices are more than reasonable & the experience was priceless. I’m looking forward to my next trip down there so I can rent another one for longer!! 12/10 recommend this shop! Thanks for making my birthday extra memorable guys!

This place was awesome. I had so much fun on the E bikes. I rode in the rain too. The bike stayed charged the whole time, and the safety locks made me feel safe about leaving them to tour Bishops Palace. They are right across from the famous historic Trenton hotel where I stayed. They are very nice and friendly!

This place is awesome. Here you will be treated like a friend instead of a customer. We rented a couple of E bikes today just to try them out. We had a phenomenal time. You see, I am disabled and have not been able to ride a bike for some time. After putting about 20 miles on the bikes, we are understandably tired and a bit sore, but it was well worth the experience. The bikes are well maintained and fairly new. If you have questions, they have answers. Zipp E Bikes can get most bike accessories for you. They can repair your E Bike or conventional bicycle. Going on a Cruise Ship? While in port, why not rent an E Bike? Its much cheaper than renting a car and gives you the opportunity to see most of Galveston. Check out Historical down town. Cruise the Sea Wall. There is so much more to take in from a bike ride than in a car and it wont leave you completely worn out like riding a conventional bicycle. Cheers!
