As a member for almost a year now, MorFIT is superb compared to chain gyms in the area! Staff and members are friendly and respectful of social distancing. The gym is spacious with a variety of machines and equipment so even during peak hours I never have to worry about waiting for a machine. I’ve also signed up for personal training sessions and Morgan is the best! Each training is different but effective and she always supports and encourages me during the session. If you’re reading this and haven’t visited MorFIT yet, you need to!

This is probably one of the cleanest gyms in the DMV. The owners are friendly knowledgeable people and the staff is top notch.

Overall, decent community gym. Fine for me, but if you expect something fancy, go to Lifetime or one of those places.Pros: Love that its open 24/7. Ive been there in the middle of the night a few times and never felt uncomfortable. Small gym, but they have all the necessities plus some things (eg punching bags) lots of small gyms dont have. All the staff have been very nice.Cons: Can get a bit too crowded for my tastes. Once I went there was a class being held right by the restrooms where everybody needs to walk. Online system could use a lot of work - signed up for the free training session but never heard back on it (I didnt push it b/c I dont really like PTs). Many machines need minor maintenance. Some worn out machines in the cardio area just need to be removed - its a bit crowded there. People dont put their weights, towels, or other things away which really irks me. Cleanliness could be improved - sweeping mostly. Would be really nice if there were no kids (ie under 14-ish) allowed - I dont trust kids in gyms.

Great clean atmosphere and professional friendly staff! Morgan the owner seems to really know how to run this business very well! I have visited other gyms in the area and morfit seems to be the best one as far as having everything you need plus its SUPER CLEAN!!!! I walked in and was greeted immediately by Stacy at the front desk. She showed interest in what I was interested in when coming to a gym which I greatly appreciate. Ill definitely be signing up!

I requested to cancel my service 3 times after not getting the additional benefits to justify the $150 a month increase in membership and not only didnt they cancel my service but I was charged for 2 additional months. I called and submitted my request via email now I am being told that I needed to submit a form. I should have been told that the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th time that I requested to cancel!!Edit- Morfit has a lot to learn about customer service, communication and ownership. The staff dropped the ball on several occasions. Although my impression of them has slightly improved and they have attempted to resolve the issue, it still involved tremendous time and effort on my part. I sincerely hope that the staff will use my experience as a teaching moment on how to improve their communication skills.Reply- yes I am happy with the personal training sessions that I paid for, as Melissa is one of the only saving graces at this establishment. Also with the time and effort spent on my part to do the job that I paid the gym for i.e. resolve my issue, it is only fair that I be compensated for the multiple emails and phone calls that I had to make. So yes I am satisfied with the 3 additional training sessions. Thank you

During the Covid pandemic, I was introduced to classes by Carol and Helen (Zumba on Zoom) and Regina (Cardio on Facebook). They are all wonderful and unique. I look forward to their classes and get great workout without leaving my home. My daughter in NC sometimes join me. I can not thank Morfit enough for your part in making this happen. What a great help to so many of us in these less than ideal times. I live way too far away to join your gym but, if I could, I would come just for the classes of these three women. Thank you Carol, Helen, Regina and Morfit!! One of your biggest, if not closest, fans!!

Be aware. Very unprofessional people. I had purchased 16 personal training sessions in full. Got to use only 8. The gym fired my trainer and now they won’t refund my unused sessions. Tried to reach out by email, phone and in person and were not kind enough to respond on timely manner. Morgan, the owner, doesn’t seem to know how to administer the gym. I’m pursuing an official complain in order to get my money back. But, be aware and don’t fall for the “community gym” as it’s advertised on their site. Very disappointing, I’m sure the business won’t last longer.

While the new ownership did come in and make changes, they are buying 5 star reviews with free drinks.Secondly, I tried to pause my membership when COVID struck. They never answered the phone. Here in mid-June, they still are not, but now they have announced they are quintupling the price. For $200 a month, you can go get personal training and a pool membership at other gyms in the area.

All the equipment necessary for a solid strength and aerobic workout. Positive atmosphere for maintaining and promoting fitness. Group classes are varied with quality motivated instructors. Ownership and staff supportive and committed to improvement.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this gym has evolved and transitioned over the 20 years I have been going here. Im so pleased that I stayed with the gym. Great improvements have been made and the new management is closely listening to their customers and implementing changes...new inviting paint colors, more classes, lounge area, more equipment, and greatly improved cleanliness.Think some of the negative comments come from when they were initially transitioning and going through a teething stage. Things are more settled now and you should check it out. Recently, they have partnered with various health insurance companies to yield reduced gym membership costs..yay!! Because this is a privately owned and smaller neighborhood gym, there is a more personable/intimate vibe and great camaraderie between members so it feels like family! :-)

Morfit won’t let me cancel my membership and they keep jacking up prices. Sounds like they are fighting to survive. You’d think that when you try to cancel a membership you wouldn’t have to pay 30 extra days.

I have been going to this gym for a very long time, when it was originally fitness first, then gold gyms and now Morfit Gym.The owner/ staff of Morfit completely turned this gym around! After all these years it has finally been updated and tons of new equipment/classes are available. The staff and trainers are amazing. This gym is the best it’s been in a very long time. I am so pleased and glad to be a Morfit member!!!

Great clean Gym with friendly staff. The only complaint I would have is since they transferred from gold gym, they got rid of many of the new ellipticals leaving the older, and squeaky ones.
